I feel bad writing such a negative review as the staff were very pleasant, however this is a truly awful hotel for the price despite a beautiful location. Everything is very run down, peeling wallpaper, chipped tiles and furniture and decor from the 1960’s. We paid £160 for a room when the true price should be about £80 for this level of accommodation. The quaint looking yellow building shown in the pictures is closed and much of the hotel buildings are derelict. Internet poor, no TV in room or hotel lounge. Food is very poor for the price ( never had vegetables with such a strange texture!) but it’s a 40 minute drive to the nearest restaurant so not much choice! Avoid!

We stayed in early October 2025, towards the end of the season when the hotel was very quiet. The rooms were comfortable, with stunning views from rooms on the front of the hotel. Cooked breakfasts were freshly prepared and like the evening meals everything was cooked very nicely. The pork belly was a particular favourite. We were lucky enough to be there on a night when there was live music in the Broombeg Bar, and with people joining in with the band or singing along it made for a great last night.
