If it weren't for the general manager Temborarli and Julia, I would have given it all 1's, but in the last 3 hours of my birthday, they managed to save the situation. I flew to Brazil alone to celebrate my 40th birthday and chose one of the most expensive hotels - JW Marriot, thinking that it was a cool hotel. But no. I didn't get any service or amenities, having paid a lot of money. I arrived at 10 pm (that is, the whole day was already lost, I did not live in the room) I had to live the night and 1 next day. My birthday! I go to the reception, tell them that I came to you to celebrate my birthday, I am a member of the Marriott program and have already spent more than $5,000 on your hotels in the first month of the year (I show the receptionist and explain that my birthday is coming up in 2 hours, my birthday is coming up), but (!) they put me in a room on the third floor, where you can’t open the curtains (!), because people are constantly walking past to use the elevator!! Even in the middle of the night! They are rumbling and making noise. Upset, I return to the reception and ask them to help me somehow with this situation. At the same time, I see that the room is dirty! Even the sheets are dirty!! An unpleasant man says, ”You have this room category, King room. I can't do anything. Well, I can find a higher floor.” (Was it too much to give it to him right away? A higher floor and a room not on the passage, where you can't even open the curtains, why should I run and ask!!!??? I already asked once: pay attention, it's my birthday. A birthday on which they give gifts and make surprises, congratulate!!! But apparently he is a completely incomprehensible person. (To whom I wish that no one congratulates him on his birthday this year). Then he offers me ”if you want, you can PAY EXTRA and move to another room with a different view” !!!!! I say: I DON'T WANT TO and leave. (I also wish this man a trip to another continent, the earth's hemisphere, alone, where he pays for everything, for everything himself!) My birthday is in the morning, I sleep terribly, there is no soundproofing, noises begin from 6 am ... and until the evening, until 7 pm I don't get a piece of cake, a card, nothing. (Although then I moved to the Fairmont hotel, where the waiters sang a Happy Birthday song to the birthday boy so heartily at breakfast!!! So never choose Marriott for your birthday!!! They will treat you very badly!!) I always travel for my birthday, I have already celebrated it more than 20 times in different parts of the world and in different hotels, and for the first time I encountered that I need to beg for something and remind you that it is your birthday!!! At the very end of the birthday, at 7 pm, I go to the reception and ask to call the general manager to say everything that I think about JW Marriott. Well, here Timberly moves me for 1 night to a room on a high floor with a sea view. For which I am very grateful to her. And for which I give high points in the review. And that guy who regretted upgrading so that the person would wake up happy on his birthday and continue spending money in the Marriot Bonvoy chain, and not wake up broken at 6 am because it sounded like someone was washing in his bathtub (because in that room on the 3rd floor there was unreal soundproofing, no soundproofing!!!!) I hope he will be fired!!!

1. Rio de Janeiro's security isn't as bad as I'd imagine, especially at this hotel. It's right next to the JW Marriott Hotel, and police cars patrol the area daily. The beach across from the hotel (Copacabana Beach) also felt safe. I stayed there for four nights and went there four times: once in the evening, twice in the morning, and once at noon. In summary: Copacabana Beach is quite long, and I personally felt the beach across from the hotel was very safe. (Please pay close attention to your personal safety when traveling; this is my personal feeling. I'm not responsible for any accidents!) 2. There are plenty of restaurants around and behind the hotel, with prices ranging from 20 to 200 RMB per person, which felt safe! (Please pay close attention to your personal safety when traveling; this is my personal feeling. I'm not responsible for any accidents!) The hotel's own restaurant (order your own food) was also quite good! The breakfast was also good, with fruit, meat, cheese, vegetables, various breads and cakes, and a variety of drinks! (I'm a budget traveler with limited experience and limited knowledge. If this review affects you, please don't blame me, and please book a more expensive, higher-end hotel.) 3. The front desk service was excellent and welcoming, and they didn't deliberately snub Chinese people! We could all communicate in English. The hotel entrance was supposedly open 24 hours a day (I didn't go out after 10:00 PM, but there were staff standing by when I returned at 9:30 PM). There were staff on duty, so it was very safe! 4. The hotel room was very nice! (I'm a budget traveler with limited experience and limited knowledge. If this review affects you, please don't blame me, and please book a more expensive, higher-end hotel.) The room wasn't too big, but it was perfectly adequate! It could open a large suitcase, had a balcony, a refrigerator, a safe, and a TV. The bathroom was adequate, the shower water was large and hot, and the temperature was easily adjustable. The air conditioner didn't blow directly on me or the bed! 5. Summary: I'm not a hotel professional, and neither the hotel nor Ctrip has given me any credit. I'm writing this based on my conscience. Brazil is far from China, and not many people know much about it. I was quite intimidated by some biased reviews before arriving, but after arriving, I found Brazil quite pleasant. The weather in Rio de Janeiro is a bit like Kunming, China, with spring-like weather year-round (I didn't experience it in the summer, but at least the winter wasn't cold). Brazilians are also very welcoming, and the cost of living is relatively low, far lower than in various tourist destinations in China, such as the Christ the Redeemer statue, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Tickets are also quite affordable! Regarding safety: I was only in Rio de Janeiro for six days, and I didn't find anything negative. I visited many tourist attractions, and the safety seemed good there. I believe it's best to avoid crowded or crowded places alone, and avoid staying out too late. You should be fine! (Please pay close attention to your personal safety when traveling. This is my personal opinion. I will not be held responsible for any accidents!) 6. My WeChat: *********. If you're planning a trip to Rio de Janeiro, feel free to add me and I'll give you some advice! Finally, I think Rio de Janeiro is a great place for independent travel, and the more people there are, the better. Just be sure to pay attention to your own safety. Rio de Janeiro isn't Japan, Singapore, or Switzerland. You need to be careful! (Please pay close attention to your personal safety when traveling. This is my personal opinion. I will not be held responsible for any accidents!)

Great health. However, employee information is different. Reservation information will not be updated at the reception desk. I immediately paid 50% of the fee to extend the stay. The next day, I was woken up by the staff to remind me of the check-out time, and I learned that I had paid for the extended time. After a long time, I left, and when I returned to the room, my room was sealed off. At the reception, I learned that the reason was the checkout time (the next day) Once again, I told me to pay 50% of the value of my stay per day until 18 hours. The receptionist was not notified and did not find any information about this information in the system. At the time of my relatives, my reservations were also lost. They must call the reservation department because the information has not been updated in the system. To my surprise, my reservation was cancelled without notice. I asked about the use of the hotel’s swimming pool, and the receptionist told me that due to the pandemic law, leisure is prohibited. The next day, I was trapped in the room and had nothing to do because I was unattractive in the hotel and its surroundings. When I decided to go out to breathe fresh air, there was only 1 hour left to check out. I found that the swimming pool was fully operational and some guests liked it very much. And I wasted a whole day in the room, thinking it was forbidden because of masturbation.

Checking in in the evening, we had two reservations for 1 night + 3 nights. We asked the front desk to merge the orders to avoid the trouble of having to check out and apply again the next day. The front desk handled the merged orders, which is more rigid than some places in Chile. Much better. However, the suite we were given was too old and empty with almost no furniture! It's still along the road, and the windows are old aluminum alloy single-layer glass, which is not soundproof at all. Moreover, the split air conditioner in our room is very old and noisy. We didn't sleep well all night! The next day, we reported the noise situation to the front desk. The manager was on duty and moved us to a suite not along the road. It had a lot more furniture and furnishings and the air conditioner was relatively new. It felt much better than the rooms along the road. Some rooms in the hotel are being partially renovated~ Overall, the decoration of this hotel is too old, and the breakfast is average (for us Chinese), with not many varieties and no vegetables at all~ The staff's service is quite good. They took the initiative to help us pick up our suitcases and bring them to the room, and introduced the room facilities. When we left, the lobby attendant took the initiative to help us carry our suitcases and hail a taxi suitable for us at the door to take us to the airport. It is relatively close to the beach, there are many restaurants nearby, and there are also large supermarkets nearby.

The hotel is about 40 minutes away from the airport by car. It is right between Ipanema and Copacabana Beach. Go downstairs and walk across the road to the beach. The sea is very soft, like the magic sand that children play with. Every employee of the hotel is very polite and will greet people warmly. The hotel's swimming pool is very beautiful. The view of the mountains and the sea outside the swimming pool is superb! ! ! We were in a daze for 2 days in the hotel and the beach at the door! Because we checked in early, we were given the last room with sea view, but my husband was more serious and changed it twice to a good sea view room. The only drawback is that the price is a bit expensive, nearly 4,000 per night. This is not the hotel's fault, but because I am poor!

A very average hotel experience. I will start with the slight complaints: The room was not perfectly clean (the bed skirting was stained, for example), but the sheets, pillows, and mattress were clean. The hotel was a bit loud at times, as you can hear other guests in the hall from inside the rooms. The room service was very slow, and my fiancée’s order was messed up the first time (she recieved the wrong item). However, the kitchen quickly made things right by sending the correct order. My food was alright, and she really liked what she ordered. The room was a decent size. It had a full-sized couch, large bathroom, and a double bed in the room we booked. The shower was amazing. It was the highlight of the trip for me. The room had a view of The Redeemer which was nice. We booked this hotel mostly due to its proximity to Santos Dumont airport; it was perfect for us in that regard. If you have an early flight from SDU, this is an easy hotel to recommend.

Reservei pedindo cama de casal. No quarto havia 2 camas de solteiro. Juntamos as camas.

My first room had the worst stains on the chair and sofa. No way should this room been allowed for check in. I booked a queen bed apartment and was moved to a. Double bed room with a view as trade. I was tired and could not be bothered to argue. There was an apology by the checkin staff. The breakfast is average (I came from Salvador where breakfast was amazing). Housekeeping and services were good - all the ladies were nice and pleasant. The bed had one pillow and the sheets had holes. There was no spare blanket in the room and the duvet provided was not the best so it got cold on a few nights and was too hot on others. Shower facilities were good but no skin lotion in the room which was fine as I had my own. No free water in the room only the minibar too - had to go to ibis hotel next door at like 2am to buy stuff there …both hotels are linked Generally the stay was mediocre and the area does not have anything to do. It is ok and central for Uber which was a bonus. Would I stay there again - hardly likely Would I challenge that I am owed money as the room I paid for is not what I was given - may do …if I have the energy Hopefully Novotel would reach out to me before that happens Images below

Gostei muito do ambiente do hostel. Apesar dos quartos compartilhados não terem muito espaço, sua cama tem o espaço adequado. Só recomendo melhorar a limpeza dos banheiros masculinos.
