We stayed here because a family member was in the hospital. The staff was very kind & gave us the reduced rate because we had family in the hospital, as we were not given that when I called to make the reservation on the 1-800 number. He didn’t have to tell us, we appreciated his kindness as it had been a stressful, exhausting day. The staff was very nice the entire stay. The room was new & clean, the beds & pillows were extremely comfortable & the room stayed nice & cool. The blinds were nice & dark so we slept well. We didn’t hear anything outside of our room the entire stay. The breakfast was ok, we’ve had better. The parking was easy once we figured it out, as the elevators were kind of confusing if you parked in the opposite side of the elevator, it wasn’t just confusing to us, but others staying at the hotel as well. We felt safe going from the parking garage to the hotel. There are a couple of decent places to grab quick food near the parking garage. We were also able to easily walk to the hospital. We felt we had a good, very comfortable stay & the staff deserved to be acknowledged for their service.

The room may have been micro but the service, cleanliness and vibe is mega!!! Superbly clean, fresh-smell throughout. 5-star hotel sinks, shower and toilets with high-end bidets? Yes, yes and ohhhh yes!!! The micro-room concept is fantastic for business travelers who only feel more lonely in large rooms alone! And the location is easy walking distance to Arts District, Deep Ellum, light rail to suburbs. I even felt super safe walking around at night. And the sign on the mirror above the sinks is hilarious. Finally click on the ”shhhh...click me” on their website; super cool. Top Marks to Sova!

The hotel is very nice, right in the center of the city, only ten minutes walk from Kennedy Square, bus station, Big Eye and museum! Moreover, the front desk and service ecology are very good, and the sanitation is first-class. Although Ctrip gives it a three-star rating, it is a four-star high-level hotel!

This was our second stay in the past two weeks. The rooms are clean, the beds are very comfortable, the refrigerator is a nice sized one, and the establishment is in a fantastic location! The Manager, George, was friendly, extremely helpful and professional. He most definitely went the extra mile to assist us and ensure our stay was a pleasant one. I would definitely stay there again. Thank you so much for your help George!

I just had an overnight staycation at the Warwick Melrose hotel and it was absolutely wonderful! I highly recommend joining The Journey Club to secure the best rates for this hotel and also earn points. Everyone at the hotel was extremely attentive and friendly providing an excellent guest experience. The hotel has beautiful old world charm décor yet full of modern amenities. We had a fabulous experience at the LeSpa and highly recommend the hot stone massage. We spent the afternoon at the pool which was relaxing and very enjoyable with lots of shade options available to hide from the Texas heat if you need. Angela in the Library Bar was fantastic and we had a very delicious Beef Tenderloin for dinner. Our room was beautiful, large bathroom, dressing room, electronic plugs for laptops and fantastic lighting. Beds and pillows were luxurious and comfy. I can't say enough wonderful things about this gem of a hotel. Andrew Wright the General Manager has done an amazing job maintaining 5 star service across all departments.

I have stayed in many IHG properties, including Candlewood Suites, and they have always been good. This room was an embarrassment to the company! The experience started with the check-in where we were processed by a very sharp young lady. Full disclosure, I was somewhat surprised I was not given an upgrade due to my Rewards standing but, it was a reward night. When the elevator door opened, it squeaked so badly we were apprehensive about getting in. We did make it to the third floor and our room appeared to be fine. BUT, the first issue arose when the remote would not turn on the TV. I finally got it to light up by using the power button on the set. The remote would only move the channels up, not down and although the closed captions showed on, they did not work. When my wife got out of the shower, she told me it was the slowest draining tub she had ever seen. When I got in later, I had to remove the stopper completely in order to get it to drain. The control for the sink stopper WOULD NOT WORK and I had to push it all the way down. Then, I could not get it open and my shaving cream residue stayed in the sink after I pried the stopper enough to get it to slowly drain. When I got in the shower, I discovered the shampoo and the conditioner containers WERE EMPTY! I related all these issues to the desk person when I checked out but I am not confident she was concerned at all! Although I used reward points for this room, I WASTED THEM!

Hi Ryan, We were in room 702 for 6 nights. We encountered many problems mostly with room maintenance, street noise and housekeeping. We requested daily room cleaning and it was very poor or non existent until last night when we actually had a decent room cleaning and closer to what was expected. There was something spilt all over the door entrance into the bedroom the entire stay and never cleaned. One day housekeeping came but didn’t leave coffee or towels. On 2 mornings during the 6 nights the alarm went off at 6:00 am. This was not the first night or 2 nights in a row. My guess is an unhappy housekeeper deliberately did it. I reported several room problems a couple times but they were never addressed. The entrance door rubbed and made a lot of noise. We also had to pull it to make sure it locked when we left. The door to the refrigerator is falling off and rubbing, the Airconditioner blows to much in the living area and not much in the bedroom making it hard to sleep in one room while the other person is watching tv in the living area as it’s to hot. The shower door hits at the top and feels like it could break. The drapery pull rod came off the 2nd night and never fixed. The room is also very dark and needs updating. Customers should be told of the highway noise, it makes it very difficult to sleep.

I went to Dallas for the first time with my mom and we decided to stay here thinking it’d be a great place. While this place was conveniently located to lots of places, we ran into way too many issues, First, our room made a loud noise from the AC. The front desk gave us attitude that they had no other rooms and would have engineering look at it. Then they said they’d move us after we talked to them so what was that about? Then we get to our new room and the light was out above the shower and our mini bar was broken. Our mini bar wouldn’t open even after they “fixed” it so we got a complimentary mini fridge. Then we got a random call the next day verifying we were staying in the room and how many guests, ***?! Two days before we were leaving, our keys stopped working and we got a non legitimate excuse for that too. Also this place claims you need to let them know if you want house keeping. Overall, they are not run well and clearly have poor upper mgmt. The gift shop, Starbucks, pool, etc arent bad, but this place needs some serious help.

When you walk into the lobby it is welcoming, modern and clean. Unfortunately none of those feelings go any further into the hotel than that. The rooms were a bit grubby and everything was worn - the cupboard the fridge was in didn’t close properly, the air conditioning was really loud, the bedding was worn (and no longer white), the towels threadbare and the shower badly repaired (I have posted a photo of this and the towels). When we used the shower the mirror misted up and you could see what a previous resident had written on the mirror (I have posted a picture of this) - suggesting no one is cleaning the mirrors, and if they are skipping them then what else are they skipping? As for the on site restaurant, what can I say? Do not eat here. When we tried to there was a big crowd at the bar, making a lot of noise, and we were seated in the small bar area. Despite having three couples dining they seated us all in the small, crowded bar area and didn’t open the restaurant seating. The menu is very small, not many options at all, and the drinks menu shows about a tenth of the drinks they actually have. Our waitress seemed confused easily, my wife asked if they had Sierra Mist to drink and received a blank look and a puzzled ‘Mist?’ as an answer. When our food arrived my wife’s salad had some unidentified black bits in it and I found a twisted ribbon of metal in between a slice of lukewarm sausage and the soggy fries. We called the waitress over to receive more blank looks to our complaints, no apologies or suggestions of alternatives. In the end we just got up and left, saying we weren’t going to pay for a meal that we hadn’t eaten because we didn’t fancy a trip to hospital. So, dangerous food, poor service and an unpleasant environment - do yourselves a favour and do what we did, go out and eat the great Mexican food at Uno Mas around the corner.

I have stayed at other Holiday Inn Express & Suites before so I kind of knew what to expect in term of accomodations. Our suite was spacious and clean. It had a separate sitting area with a mini fridge, sink, couch, desk and flat screen tv. The bedroom also had another flat screen tv, and lots of pillows. Breakfast buffet was good. The pool was quite small but was never crowded while we were there, so I have no complaints. It could use some updates, but overall it wasn't bad. Excellent staff were very helpful. I bought my own wine glass as drinking wine from plastic isn't acceptable. Pick up a corkscrew too as there wasn't one available, even at the front desk.

Monday, March 7, 2022 to Tuesday, March 8, 2022 Congratulations to the employees and management on a job well done... I stayed for one night and I found the employees to be friendly and professional. Appropriate greeting at check-in and an acknowledgement of my Bonvoy status. The common areas were clean and very well-maintained. Room 517 was clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Bathroom was nice and there was good water pressure. Parking is available in an outdoor lot for $25.98. If you're a light sleeper and your room faces the highway, the noise from the traffic might be a problem.

The look of the interior of the hotel, looks dated. It is I fact dated in person as well. Our room was not cleaned well. We found dirty underwear. The carpet was gross, torn and tattered. There was no foul smells in the room or lobby. The decor was confused, part of it was updated, bright and clean, it looked really good but once you passed the front desk it was all 80s business with the fake trees. I was confused that people weren’t expecting to see pets there when it’s clearly stated in the accommodations. The location was fabulous though … so it had that. You could walk to galleria if you wanted to lug your loot 2 blocks. I have pictures but nobody has let me post them.

We booked and paid for a bigger room (2 queens and pull out couch) because we have 4 kids on our trip for a wedding. Wanted to check in an hour earlier because we were passing thru and easier than at 10pm at night after a wedding. Were told on the phone that it would cost us $25 additional to check in early, so we declined. Checked in at 10 pm that night after the wedding to be told that just because we paid more for that room does not guarantee that we are in that room. They only had a king room with a pull out couch that would not accomodate 4 kids! The 2 ladies at the front desk were of no help, not even offering a dditional pillows or blankets. When asked if any of the other Sonesta's in the area (there were three!) had any rooms to accomodate, they insisted that they just ”thought” there was nothing available not even bothering to check. Worst customer service and they didn't care at all! This is my first and last time I will ever stay at a Sonesta and I will tell all my friends to never stay here!!!

So I admittedly don't write reviews unless it's stellar or terrible but I had to look and you can apparently only review the hotel on the Marriott website if you're sent a ”guest satisfaction” survey. The hotel itself is in a pretty decent place, the restaurant/bar is ok, and the rooms are generally pretty nice. What got me though is that when I walked in to my room it was probably 84-86 degrees. The AC blew hot air on me all night long and never got below 76 degrees and you could hear it click off despite being set to much lower than that. I, as expected, woke up with a raspy voice and was very lethargic for the day. For a hotel that runs close to $200/night I guess I would expect the ability to have a comfortable room. Will definitely not be staying there again...
