The hotel is small located in a commercial area. Fortunately the train station is relatively close to the center to be able to move. Although the metro is 40 minutes away to the nearest area of Acropolis. Short breakfast. No luxury. I'd better forget. My negative experience had it with the staff of the hotel. At the time of asking for a transfer ... Depending on who you asked you they told you a different price. And if you still ask, the answer was all less correct. I would come back?? NO. I think I can find something better in another area ... And easily move me.

A five-purified hotel in Kefalari, very large rooms and equally large bathrooms made our stay very comfortable, and breakfast could be better. Someone tell the reception staff to be more friendly and smiley to the customers and take an example from the group that everyone was extremely noble.

The stay at the CocoMat Hotel was outstanding. The hotel itself is very homey and clean. The staff were very helpful and cheerful, and made the stay feel comfortable - We were even offered our own pair of slippers for the stay! It is obvious that CocoMat specialises in great hospitality. The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable. The rooms are very quiet and even though they are shared, very intimate as each bed has a garden, night light and a pump. Breakfast with various options, healthy, all rich and very good price. I emphasise the friendliness and solidarity of Mariano reception, who made himself available to guide me and help me in how to manage me in the city (public transport, interesting tourist sites, etc,), I was my first time in Athens and I didn't know anything. 'Thank you Marian !!!!!!! I would certainly return to hosting at the Hostel and of course I recommend it. I am Jorgelina de Córdoba, Argentina

The hotel location is very good, about 500 meters from Constitution Square, there is an airport bus and subway directly to Constitution Square, but it is not easy to get a big box on the old street. All sights are within 1000 meters' walking distance. The restaurant on the 8th floor of the hotel is particularly complete and spectacular to see the Acropolis, and you can also see the night view at night. The rooms are large and comfortable, the service is good, and the breakfast is very good. I stayed 5 days back and forth. I would come to bed every afternoon to send chocolates. The balcony door could be opened from above to adjust the room air. The bed and quilt were very comfortable.

I give a high value to the fact of having kitchen to cook as if at home. So the Apartment counts with this. The kitchen is rather well equipped. I would add some mat to protect the table (in my case i carried one with me just in case) . The refrigerator is big, there Is coffee machine, electric boiler , stove, oven, enough plates, glasses, etc. I asked for spounge and dish detergent cause as i cook my dinner i like of course to clean the dishes by myself, and the personal at the front desk provided it for me. The bed room had a Security box , which is a positive Point. The living room is rather comfortable. The personal at the front desk is very kind , Nicos helped me to find a place to Repair my luggagge which had arrived broken; Vangelis helped with the resetting of the wi fi at some opportuniy ; then there is Penny and two more functionaries (a man and a woman - Sorry that i don t remember their names now, but all very kind people, they received an order i had posted by internet and they gave it to me as i came back after going around all day). The cleaning personal is very kind too, and they do their work well, all is clean. The location is very suitable , 5 minutes walking from Metro Station Evangelysmus, so one can arrive directly from the airport by the blue Line in 30 or 40 minutes (dont remember the exact time ). There are some museums close to the Apart Hotel too, but i ve left them for my next visit. Lively places like Syntagma Square and Monastiraki , Acropole Museum , are all at one or 2 Metro Stations or even one can Walk 30 minutes. There is an excellent supermarket (Bazaar) at 5 minutes walking , one can find there all that one needs. The hotel offers breakfast paying a supplement, but i can t comment on that, cause i ve chosen to cook my breakfast at the Apartment , as if i were at home. Summarizing , i think this is a nice and convenient place to stay in Athens, which i was fortunate to find being it my first visit to Greece!

Hotel-style apartments at this price are more cost-effective. First, the location is better, very close to Syntagma Square, one street away from the main street, quiet in the noisy, and the security of the entire area is better; second, the rooms are relatively new and furnished Also very thoughtful, everything for daily necessities (kitchen dishes, washing machines, drying racks, etc.), a bottle of water and a little fruit are provided for free upon check-in. It’s just that the lady boss at the front desk has been answering the phone and answering the phone. The whole thing is very good.

Victoria
We chose this place to avoid very central Athens prices and be close to a Metro (Victoria). Good choice. Adaptions for Covid reduce breakfast to a box plus coffee and juice, but was quite good. We were upgraded with our room, which was nice, though the jacuzzi and shower didn’t work properly due to poor water flow. Comfortable beds and good lighting. No English TV. Weak WiFi on the top floor. Reception is only staffed until 5pm so the hotel works with code numbers for the outside door and with emergency key safes for each room just in case you lose the key. Oddly no safes in rooms but it all felt secure. Friendly reception staff.

I took the last room available, a single room, and was not looking forward to a small room but very pleasantly surprised. The room was compact but very nicely furnished. These rooms have been modernised recently and was absolutely perfect for my needs for a one-night stay in Athens. Excellent shower and air conditioning. I slept very well, the only negative comment would be that I was woken very early by the noise of staff getting breakfast ready. The hotel is quietly situated in a side street very close to the Acropolis entrance and just a short walk down the hill from the city centre tour bus drop off. It's also just a few minutes walk from the Acropolis metro stop. The roof terrace has beautiful views and you can buy a drink from the downstairs bar and take it up to the roof. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and I would definitely recommend Acropolis View Hotel for single travellers.

The location of the hotel is very convenient on the most lively streets throughout the night, but the noise is not big. Four people chose the No. 9 room, which has three floors. Pros: nice hotel, clean, great location where you can walk around to almost everywhere in the centre of Athens. Cons: they did not tell us that the breakfast comes in a box, so its cold eggs for breakfast everyday. We stayed for few days, and got a room in 2nd floor right by a local coffee shop/pub located at the back alley, loud music and people chatting everyday until 1-2 am! and one time, the reception think its a need to do a random check on me asking what is my room number when i came back from a walk even though i tapped with my room card to get in the main entrance. felt like i was trespassing.

The experience had its pros and cons. In the good very nice breakfast and clean room when we entered. Unfortunately we agreed not to have a cleaner for her three days overnight and on the second day she was inside and cleaning. When we told the people in charge the answer was I was not at check in and they apologized. The second bad thing was that Netflix did not have a TV this time, nor did it have an internet connection.

This hotel was a good value with a very friendly staff. Be sure to request a higher floor room ending in 02 for a great view of the Parthenon! Being recently renovated, we were very pleased with our room. The air conditioning cooled well, without requiring a room card being inserted. The area around the hotel left a little to be desired. This hotel is located right next door to a sister hotel - The Athenaeum Palace. Syngrou is a busy street without much commercial shopping or stores. There was a little convenience store hut about 40 yards away, and a decent little Italian and a Greek restaurant about 150 yards away. While there appeared to be a bus stop and an underground street crossing in front of the hotel, we did not use it. A taxi to the Plaka was about 6 euros without traffic and 12 euros with traffic. Breakfast was nice with a full continental option, as well as scrambled eggs and cooked bacon/ ham. The hotel has a powerful hair dryer. The lobby has a ramp, but a handrail for the stairs to the breakfast area for folks with accessibility needs.

When I was younger, I spent two weeks in Greece to visit various places on the Peloponnese peninsula, but up until this year, I had never been to Athens before. I am someone who likes to explore places, and I often do not have day by day plans - but the one thing that is always important for me is a good base, a place to come back to in the late afternoon or evening to relax. I generally am not into nightlife, so I usually spend evenings in my accommodation - so I try to make sure to book a good place. I was tempted to go for a cheaper option, but after the last few years and all the stress, I decided to treat myself. Why earn all that money if I don’t use it right? I spent nine days in the Academias Hotel in Athens. I chose it because the location seemed ideal on a map. Fortunately, the reality also was not a disappointment. I visited the Acropolis a couple of times. It takes about 20-30 minutes to walk there, but I also saw that there are bus connections if you do not like to walk (I LOVE walking, because you also get to see more of the places and can sometimes come across interesting shops, parks, etc.). I could go on about places that are within easy reach, but you’re probably more interested in the hotel itself! The check-in was easy and I felt very welcome. There wasn’t a grumpy staff member in sight (hotel staff in certain places in the UK could learn from that friendliness!). I tried to impress with my few sentences of Greek that I learned, but fortunately, staff in this hotel has no problem with other languages. Not once during my stay did I have an issue with staff. They were all polite and respectful. The big plus for me also was that they did not annoy me. Friendly yes, but they did not make me feel harassed like it can happen in other hotels. While I did obviously check out photos of the hotel in advance before I booked, I was pleasantly surprised by my room (I booked a room with a king-sized bed). Everything was very clean, and there were BOOKS on the shelves. That was really a nice touch, I think. The bathroom was HUGE, and let me tell you: the showers are awesome. You’ll really appreciate a good shower after an active day in Athens, especially in summer! It was lovely! The room was nice and I had lots of space. The writing desk was perfect because I’m a writer and always in need of such a space! There was even a nice little coffee machine. Of course, also the usual stuff like a TV (with Netflix access!), shampoos, all the stuff you’d expect from a high quality hotel. The hotel has a lot to offer in addition to your actual room. There is a gym (I didn’t use that, I didn’t go on holiday to work out) and also a spa if you are into that. Worth a mention is the food as well. There’s a great restaurant with excellent views - and the food is just as excellent, which makes this a wonderful eating experience. Breakfast was also excellent, I really can’t complain. If you feel like trying something else, there are also plenty of restau

I stayed here for whole 3 weeks and it was great stay. Its very near, oddly 200 m, to Larissa station on red metro line. The good things go first. - Friendly staff. - Good house keeping. - Delicious breakfast. - Nice amenities But for long stay, I felt the room was bit clumsy and even the shower cabin is too small. Me being vegetarian, always carry some ready to eat instant foods which needs heating in microwave. But unfortunately they did not have microwave in their kitchen at least.I got to use the electric kettle available at the dining area. If they offer electric kettle for using in the rooms(at least I need one for making my morning/evening tea/soup) and provide a microwave for the guest's use in dining area would be great. The stay was decent and comfortable. Laundry service is not available and will be nice if that is made available.

We needed a place to stay for our family of 8 before getting to Athens airport so we booked online 2 rooms. 1 of the room was renovated but the other one looked Iike I was back in 1980. There were 2 bedrooms with space for 5 to sleep. 1 and 1/2 bath. Shower was clean and modern but everything else was old and outdated. There was a huge terrace but unable to open doors in the 2 bedrooms. Very noisy street but the AC noise covers the sounds. The view on the water is nice and there were chairs to sit on the patio. There was a good romantic restaurant walking distance. The neighborhood is not very exciting but appeared safe. The front desk employees were extremely nice and there was an elevator and a clean stairway opened to walk upstairs. I will definitely not return. Thankfully I only spent a few hours there. The place was actually clean with no insects or cockroaches which we had in the hotel we stayed the night before.

The body shower was a real treat after a day of travel and then shopping. Even though the area is quite busy including night life the room was very quite It’s only steps from the the Ancient Agora area, a must see. A few steps further and your at the Acropolis. The roof top patio is comfortable with absolutely stunning views. In addition to being surrounded by great eating it has the most fun shopping in Greece being steps away from the Monastiraki flea market. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and encourage you to check it out, you won’t regret it. Did I mention the 5 star location and fantastic hosts….

When I slept in the morning, I woke up naturally, and when I blinked, I found that there was a large balcony outside the French window. Stayed late at night last night, sleepy and sleepy, did not carefully look at the room structure. The son looked at the fire exit map on the wall and told me that we lived in the largest room in the hotel. If so. So happy. The breakfast ended at ten o'clock, and the time rushed to the restaurant, which was amazing. Bright and spacious, the walls are decorated with Greek reliefs and portraits. The taste of the food is also very good, in addition to the watermelons and melons provided in each restaurant, there is a whole set of complete fruit collection. Receptionist Kostas and his colleagues were so friendly and helpful. The whole place has a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The place is very clean, including my room - and surprisingly quiet inside, in spite of the roaring traffic in the street outside. I slept very well, and also enjoyed the very abundant and delicious breakfasts. (Plenty of fruit, protein ...) The place is central - right near the Akropolis, and within walking distance of the Metro. So from here you can go anywhere in Athens. This hotel is really serious, it feels that the experience is generally lower. The hotel is located a little inside Women's Street. The reception is very friendly, but there are no high floors. The second floor is arranged. The bed is not small, the hotel facilities are too poor, the room is dark, there is a large mirror behind the door facing the bed! The only good thing about this mirror is that you can take a photo when you leave. The bathroom is also facing the bed! Sleeping at night is a bit scary.
