Had a fab fantastic stay at the Apollo. Reception staff are lovely . Taxi service to and from ( holiday extras cheapest I found as I Didn’t want bus £74 return fab driver both on time . This is a great central location . The breakfast buffet is the same . But who cares it’s food and it’s included . I’m not a complainer . Get on with it .fab rooftop and amazing views . I paid £330 for this including flights . Not transfer . Jan 23 . I came early and my trip was originally in March and that was £530 for same . So yeh I had a bargain. The rooms are just being decorated and it was lovely . Amazing cake shop on corner . Hop on hop off bus also around the corner . It’s ideal . I was advised as o was a solo female . Lots of asylum and homeless . They can be aggressive at times . Stay away from side streets and told not to go out in the dark . This is normal for me anyway . The sites are awsum and if u are a walker like me . Once u get your bearings . It’s got fab history . Winter is half price entries to all monuments . So Acropolis was only €10 It’s a must . The national park and other monuments are fab . I chose not to go to meteora. Delphi or the islands cruise . Simply readings to many bad reviews . No regrets . They are expensive and extremely long day . But I had a blast exploring athens .

This is an old hotel that has not been renovated much. I was in Athens a month ago, but because I am involved in the extension of my stay, they suddenly informed me that I have to come back, so I chose the hotel because it was cheaper. It is acceptable if you are not too strict. It is relatively clean, now the bedding and blanket have a little stain! The ventilation does not work well, but since the weather was pleasant, it did not matter. The closet door was broken and would not close. The safety box was not working properly. The toilet siphon was constantly working and the water was wasted and the sound was annoying. The refrigerator was working properly. Cannery did not have electricity, it had a small balcony with a good view. Breakfast was supposed to be a buffet, but it wasn't. It had a fixed menu but it was acceptable. The reception desk was a fixed desk with a fixed middle aged lady. The doors were opened with a key and a card for electricity. When leaving the hotel, we had to hand it over to the reception. Because they said that customers lose the key. The location of the hotel is excellent. Around the hotel, there are many cafes and restaurants with reasonable prices, one to three minutes away. The lady who is in charge of the reception is a polite middle-aged lady, in any case, it is acceptable in this Hajj.

Great hotel close to restaurants. Rooms were clean and very aesthetically pleasing. Transport is very accessible and it’s easy to get everywhere. Office staff were helpful and knowledgeable. No restaurant or drinks on site but there is a street vendor just outside selling drinks and snacks. Rooms were serviced daily with fresh towels and coffee.

We really liked this hotel and we’re shocked to read the previous guest review The area is interesting and a nice change for the over touristy areas . Lots of local eateries nearbye and very easy to access all areas of Athens via the metro. It was a 29min walk to the Plaka . Rooms were great - clean and modern and exactly like the pictures. New bathrooms, big desk, fridge - perfect The large rooftop area had a terrific view of the Acropolis and we had drinks there every night (BYO ) Staff were super helpful and even made sure we had ice for our rooftop drinks. My only small criticisms were that the taps in the bathroom were hard to work out and some of the fittings needed to be fixed. The hotel was great value for money

I stayed overnight in this hotel a week ago en route to the islands. Location is very good, walking distance to the centre and a subway station one minute away. Breakfast was really nice with sufficient to fill you up for the next few hours. Room was nice and warm on a cold March evening. Obviously during COVID the hotel was operating with restrictions, no restaurant on the roof etc. The reception staff were super friendly, the guy on duty in the morning was extremely helpful in printing out some paperwork for me that I needed for my ongoing journey. Highly recommended, I will definitely be booking this hotel again this summer.

THE HOTEL IS LOCATED IN AN EXCELLENT LOCATION IN KARAISKAKI SQUARE, CLOSE TO TRANSPORTATION (METRO, BUS, TAXI). VERY NEAR THE AREA OF PSYRI, MONASTIRAKI, CENTER. REGARDING SERVICE: negatively 1. ORIGINALLY, WE WERE GIVEN A ROOM WITH A SIDE VIEW OF THE ACROPOLIS. AFTER I NOTICED THEM AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY WOULD FIX IT BY THE AFTERNOON, THIS WAS ONLY AFTER MY REPEATED CALLS TO THE RECEPTION. THE NEW ROOM WAS WITH AN EXCELLENT VIEW OF THE ACROPOLIS OF ATHENS - JUST AS I PAID FOR. 2. THE FIRST ROOM WE GOT HAD A ”BLOWN” BATHROOM DOOR WHICH WOULD NOT CLOSE. 3. THE CLEANLINESS OF THE FLOOR WAS UNACCEPTABLE, WITH A LOT OF FLUFF, WHICH WASN'T PICKED UP ANY OF THE FOLLOWING DAYS. POSITIVE 1. We first visited Athens and the Stanley 29 years ago and came back for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. The hotel upgraded us to a junior suite (free) and we received a lovely surprise of sparkling wine and chocolates, which was a great gesture. Hotel is spotless, the room is massive. The roof top pool and bar is amazing, and even though it does get busy when it’s sunny, the staff try and accommodate. Cocktails from the bar are stunning and drinks reasonably priced for a 4 star hotel. We had our anniversary meal at the restaurant and it was superb. The ambience and view are outstanding. Metro station is literally around the corner so the hotel is conveniently located. Loved our stay.

Location is great for multi purposes. Lots of food and coffee shops around . Walking distance to art, music and history places. Great for visits to Evaggelismos hospital. Need upgrade the hair dryer and the fridge also needs to be programmed to be a bit cooler than it is. Clean but the bathroom floor needed a bit more effort (!) - the hose of the hair dryer too, Towels smelled strongly of disinfectant , made you feel safe but not pleasant. Neutral breakfast, basic actually, not for picky eaters but satisfying a hungry stomach. Tv was not offering movies' rental. Wi fi really good for streaming. Helpful staff both front desk , dinning room attendants and handyman/housekeeping. Great touch the sage from Crete at the coffee tray. Toiletries offered a body balm - not bad at all

Some girlfriends and I visited Aeros Hotel Athena in the middle of summer months , temperatura in Athena about 40+ degrees. Front staff very friendly and went beyond to meet needs. Location of this hotel is very convenient since squares with all sort of nice restaurants are at walking distance . Rooms are spacious, neat and well Kept; however, AC is short from efficient, mine said 16 degrees and it was far from that. Felt like 80+ in the room. Front office staff leaves at 5:00 PM and there is literally no one to assist if not having to be persisten with phone calls. They also turn the lobby AC off when they leave so it is extremely uncomfortable and hot from the moment you walk in , using guest card in front hotel door. Elevators seem Like bank safes, very small and claustrophobic so if that is an issue , ask for 2nd floor Took a to use the stairs, which are also very hot. Besides staff and nice spacious rooms, I was not comfortable at all with the temperature throughout the hotel. There is no restaurant but 2 vending machines for drinks and coffee.

My husband and I spent 1 night at the Acropolis View Hotel to kick off our honeymoon and even though we were only there for a short time the staff went above and beyond. There was a complimentary bottle of wine and plate of olives waiting in our room as well as a very sweet note wishing us a nice honeymoon. The view of the acropolis was not quite direct but still very nice with a small balcony to sit on. The room itself was a little small but had all the amenities we could ask for. Lastly, the most beautiful breakfast spread was brought up to our room right when we asked for it, ordered the night before using their website. Overall, wonderful experience with a great location and very attentive staff that made us feel very welcome.

The location of the hotel is very convenient on the most lively streets throughout the night, but the noise is not big. Four people chose the No. 9 room, which has three floors. It can eat small snacks and drink small wines in the panoramic private balcony at night, overlooking Athens. The lights in the Acropolis are really very comfortable.

The bathroom towels are very stiff and unpleasant. The shower hose is too short and able to hang it . The breakfast was very good. The lobby is very fancy. The staff helpful . The room is ok but not sound proof, I could hear the guests in the adjacent room quit load all night. Location is OK but off center.

When I was younger, I spent two weeks in Greece to visit various places on the Peloponnese peninsula, but up until this year, I had never been to Athens before. I am someone who likes to explore places, and I often do not have day by day plans - but the one thing that is always important for me is a good base, a place to come back to in the late afternoon or evening to relax. I generally am not into nightlife, so I usually spend evenings in my accommodation - so I try to make sure to book a good place. I was tempted to go for a cheaper option, but after the last few years and all the stress, I decided to treat myself. Why earn all that money if I don’t use it right? I spent nine days in the Academias Hotel in Athens. I chose it because the location seemed ideal on a map. Fortunately, the reality also was not a disappointment. I visited the Acropolis a couple of times. It takes about 20-30 minutes to walk there, but I also saw that there are bus connections if you do not like to walk (I LOVE walking, because you also get to see more of the places and can sometimes come across interesting shops, parks, etc.). I could go on about places that are within easy reach, but you’re probably more interested in the hotel itself! The check-in was easy and I felt very welcome. There wasn’t a grumpy staff member in sight (hotel staff in certain places in the UK could learn from that friendliness!). I tried to impress with my few sentences of Greek that I learned, but fortunately, staff in this hotel has no problem with other languages. Not once during my stay did I have an issue with staff. They were all polite and respectful. The big plus for me also was that they did not annoy me. Friendly yes, but they did not make me feel harassed like it can happen in other hotels. While I did obviously check out photos of the hotel in advance before I booked, I was pleasantly surprised by my room (I booked a room with a king-sized bed). Everything was very clean, and there were BOOKS on the shelves. That was really a nice touch, I think. The bathroom was HUGE, and let me tell you: the showers are awesome. You’ll really appreciate a good shower after an active day in Athens, especially in summer! It was lovely! The room was nice and I had lots of space. The writing desk was perfect because I’m a writer and always in need of such a space! There was even a nice little coffee machine. Of course, also the usual stuff like a TV (with Netflix access!), shampoos, all the stuff you’d expect from a high quality hotel. The hotel has a lot to offer in addition to your actual room. There is a gym (I didn’t use that, I didn’t go on holiday to work out) and also a spa if you are into that. Worth a mention is the food as well. There’s a great restaurant with excellent views - and the food is just as excellent, which makes this a wonderful eating experience. Breakfast was also excellent, I really can’t complain. If you feel like trying something else, there are also plenty of restau

Hotel location is good, see the Temple of Zeus, the front desk lady service is warm. We have a reasonable price upgrade to a large suite with a balcony with a kitchen sink and a separate hand washing bathroom. We bought a gift at the gift shop downstairs and also called the front desk into the room. The picture video was taken, but unfortunately transferred to the hard disk. We are two big and one small, the children live in the living room, the living room is very big. The layout is reasonable. A new hotel in the heart of Kolonaki, Athens' well-to-do district, the Modernist is a great blend of amenities and service. The hotel opened the week I visited and I expected there to be a few kinks to work out, but there were none! Service is wonderful, staff proactively asked what we needed, from carafes of sparkling water that they brought to the room on request any time of day, to laundry and other things. They also were very keen to know how they were doing, considering they were new. Breakfast is delightful, with a a creative mix of traditional Greek things and other international food. COVID setup is hygienic and efficient. We had a large room, which is not particularly large but has spectacular balconies overlooking the park across the street and with views of Lycabettus Hill. Windows are isolated and do a good job of keeping out the Athenian noise. Finally, the upstairs roof deck is a real delight, quiet, private, with a fantastic view of the Acropolis, and with a telephone to order drinks from downstairs. It's like being at the Hilton Bar across the street, but not paying 20 euros for cocktails. All told, a great start and a wonderful find, I wish the staff all the best of luck!

The front desk and the cleaning aunt were very polite, but they seemed to lack some professionalism. The facilities that the hotel could provide were not clearly stated. Every time they needed to go to the front desk to ask. The room is large, but there are beds, wardrobes, TVs and TV cabinets, tables and chairs. It feels suitable to sleep overnight, but if it is a travel room, it is a little inconvenient, and it is not convenient to want to heat things. There is no hot water bottle. The decoration is still possible, and the bathroom has unlimited hot water. The front desk did not take the initiative to remind us of the breakfast time and place, resulting in us staying for four days without breakfast. Maybe I am used to the hotel taking the initiative to remind guests of the meal. This time, no one told us, resulting in us looking at the bill to find that our consumption included breakfast. All in all, it is a renovation, hotel location, and basic overnight environment All good hotels, but still a lot of shortcomings worth improving.

My second visit to Athens, this hotel was in a perfect location near everything we wanted to visit. Breakfast was good, staff were amazing and the hotel was very secure after a certain time the automatic doors locked and you could only get in with your key card. We booked the junior suite with the acropolis view it did not disappoint. They had shutters on the doors and windows so the sun didn’t hit you first thing in the morning. The cleaners was amazing they had been cleaning our room twice a day so we left them at tip at end of our visit. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this beautiful city

Stayed with my wife at Athenstyle for 4 days in a double ensuite room. Unbeateable location in a lively neighborhood full of cafes, bars, tavernas. Short walking distance to all attractions and night life. Staff was very helpful and welcoming. Our room was in the second building across the street and had a balcony. Very clean and comfortable. Rooftop bar with amazing view of Acropolis and the city. Last but not least Chris is a great host made our stay even more enjoyable with many tips and recommendations.

Felt just like home. If you want the most friendly hospitality with an amazing apartment room. This is the place. This trip was a surprise for my partners birthday. I had contacted The Cohort in advance to see if they could help with a cake and some balloons. They went above and beyond with the surprise and made the whole trip incredible. I felt so relaxed and at home here. The staff (I wouldn’t even call them that, I would honestly call them friends) give off such calming energy and are so helpful. As soon as you get to the place, they sit you down in the collar area, let you unload your bags, and and help you find the best food, sites and bakeries to go to if you want, before checking into the room. The whole place smelt incredible. The room itself was so relaxing with such nice decor. All the toiletries were natural and just smelt so nice. Now the mattress is dangerous (haha) it was so comfortable that we missed a night out because we kept falling back asleep. If you want somewhere that’s close to all the sites but also has that friendly, genuine helpful atmosphere. This is the place.

The place is in the city centre and is worth the price, do not expect big porch as its in the city centre, its in the by lanes and has small cafes and bars on your way. Very close to OMONOIA SQUARE & SYNTAGMA SQUARE. The staff especially DARIA was very helpful and understanding, the breakfast is good. Overall a very good experience. Would suggest this place for a budget but amazing stay. It is walkable to most of the historic sites, everything is in the vicinity of 3-4 kms Made me feel unsafe when i first seen trucks of riot police parked on the road outside with police on entrance to every lane… but then as days passed it was safe, you feel scared as there are by lanes which are dark and you need to pass through some junkies(they are in their own world) You could go book a ferry for santorini or go island hoping, HOP on HOP OFF buses,Toy Train city tour, There is Experience park free for all near Ellinikos also you have shore line and beaches.

Great location as all main tourist sites (including Kerameikos and Filopappou Hill) were walkable - also outside the main tourist area, which was a plus. Roof terrace also pleasant at the end of the day. Hotel facilities are limited: WiFi, internet tv only (on mine you had to log in with your own details), aircon, tea/coffee, free bottled water. Cold breakfast option (set price of €10 - not €8 as shown on the website). Airport pick-up is now also €50 (more than shown currently on website). Rooms modern but.mine was starting to look slightly tired. In theory it was a ‘suite’ suitable for four (two small rooms) but this would have been extremely cramped, particularly as each room had only a ‘space saver’ type wardrobe ie. wardrobe rail coming out from the wall with a mirror in front and no other storage and a sofa bed in the ‘living room’. Despite the website description of each room with (only) a power shower, mine had a shower over the bath. Service was average: front desk tried to be helpful but local knowledge was lacking. Bed was made each day, but tea/coffee/water were not refreshed and used glasses and mugs were not cleaned. Despite this, towels WERE refreshed daily and there was no option (card or other mechanism) to get this stopped. I was surprised: it seems that saving water and energy had passed the hotel by entirely. In conclusion: compared to other prices and areas of Athens I paid a reasonable amount, but given the reviews had expected more from the hotel, although I couldn’t honestly say that it was bad, just ‘average’.

This is an extremely nice hotel situated in a perfect location. Our stay and review are based on a Superior room You would be hard pressed to find an Athens hotel in a better location. You are right in the middle of all the action with shops and restaurants nearby. You are spoilt for choice. Although in a busy area we found the excellent double- glazed doors/windows kept any noises out and it was not an issue at all. Our Superior room came with a kettle and tea/coffee making facilities although that is not listed on their website. It may be worth e-mailing them if this is important to you. There was air-con but in March there was no need to make use of it so we cannot comment on its efficiency. The toilet/bathroom came with those tiny bottles of shampoo and body wash which we refuse to use on environmental grounds so we brought our own and used that. There was a sign saying that if the used towels were hung up then it was assumed that we were happy to reuse them. The cleaners replaced them daily regardless. The rooms were kept very clean. This hotel has much going for it. We grabbed a deal here at a very attractive price which included breakfast. The breakfast arrangements were in a fairly small area but we felt that a good selection was provided considering the space limitations. Plenty of fresh vegetable choices and delicious too. The Tomatoes and Cucumber just tasted so much better than we are used to. Cereals, bread, cakes, fruit and coffee from a machine. We looked forward to our breakfast every morning and didn’t grow tired of it. Minor gripes (being very picky). The over the bath shower was a mini battle in so much that it was prone to shoot water out onto the floor if you weren’t being careful. It could have been better but all we had to do was to adjust our showering habits and all was ok in the end. Our room had a balcony facing out to the street below. It would have been nice for a couple of chairs out there rather than just a large pot plant and the air-con unit for company. I did notice that no other balconies on other building had chairs out so perhaps that is just the Athens way. We had a Fridge in our room. Very welcome. A very close mini supermarket was the cheapest place we could find to buy water. E0.39 for 1.5 litres as I recall. We loved this hotel. All the staff were so nice and so helpful. I can’t remember all of their names but Irena and Eva come to mind. They helped make our stay wonderful. It had a curiously homely feel about the place. March time was a great time of the year as it was a pleasant day time temperature with it getting a bit chilly in the evenings. You could still dine outdoors but with a patio heater nearby. We loved Athens and have decided to return next March with the flights already booked. We will stay at the Plaka Hotel again. 5 stars from us

The room we stayed in was very large and beautiful. The staff was friendly and readily available around the clock. We stayed in a room with an acropolis view and it was nice to hang out on the balcony and look out after sunset. This hotel is very accessible to most things and the bus stop is right across the street in case you want to wander a little further. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby walking distance with late hours. There are a few major shopping streets right around the corner as well. I would definitely stay here again if traveling to Athens in the future.

The location of the hotel is first-class, next to the Greek Police Headquarters, there is no problem with security. The breakfast at the hotel only has Western food. It’s okay to eat two meals. I’m not used to eating too much, but the restaurant for breakfast has a first-class view, and you can see the Acropolis. Athens' luxury stores, women's market, the largest department store, Chinese restaurant, and the Capitol are all within a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. There is a free heated swimming pool and sauna on the ba*****t floor of the hotel. According to locals, this is the best hotel in Athens.

The location of the Jason Inn was excellent--near key archeological sites and the flea market. It was also close to a fine array of restaurants. Our room was comfortable and the bathroom was modern and clean. Breakfast in the rooftop restaurant was very good with an incredible view of the Acropolis. Our only negative was that it is on a busy street which was noisy. I would ask for a room away from the front of the hotel. However, I would still recommend this hotel and would return there if we return to Athens in the future.
