|0.26km from city centerI like this hotel because of the location. It has a small pool but unfortunately pigeons love the pool as much as a customers and I don't like pigeons. They need to do something to limit the number of pigeons that like to drink the pool water. There is a machine that you can buy that pigeons hate the sound of and the people can't hear. The rooms are a bit small but they gave me a room where I could see the Nile the Ritz-Carlton and the Egyptian museum so ask for room at the end of the building. Staff is top-notch and goes out of their way to help you. Don't book tourist from the concierge it's a rip off. I've stayed at this hotel three times because of the location and the professionalism of the staff.

The room was clean but a little dated. The hotel is beautiful inside and out. The staff was helpful and always willing to answer questions and offer assistance. The reception desk is not manned 24 hours a day. I was disconnected/hung up on 3 times when trying to confirm that someone would be able to check us in when I arrived after midnight. I was told it would be fine but we had to wait for someone to check us in. The pool was great and we have no complaints. We had arranged a driver to take us on our tours so I am not sure if the location is good or not. Great hotel and would recommend it.

The pool is avarage size-not big, not small and the deep is around 165cm. The water needs to be cleaned. But its very good for kids and also for adults. In the night there were swimming courses for kids from outside the hotel, which made the garden area very crowded and noisy. Our big thanks belongs to Mai from reception. She was very proffesional, helpfull and made our stay comfortable.

It is recommended to stay!

Would stay there again but if you want to be in the town centre with many shops you need to stay closer to city centre as this, was, about 30 minutes from airport. It didn't matter because everything is a short cheap taxi fare away. Also it's next to a military camp where you can see and hear the soldiers marching from your balcony. If the bugle noise bothers, you at 6am then maybe not for you. Also, but not related to the hotel you'll be woken up at 4am by the, wailing from the mosques but you can't really get away from that can you. The hotel I understand is, owned by the military and so you'll often see soldiers stay there. They weren't any trouble. In fact it made you feel safe.

|0.52km from city centerThis hostel has a good location and I would say that it is pretty walkable in the early morning and very late at night but the walking infrastructure is not the best in Cairo. Mid day the traffic makes it very tricky to walk around even though there are many good restaurants and attractions nearby.
Finding it is a little tricky but it is down an alley that doesn't allow cards and it is located on floor 2 of an older building. There is an elevator but all doors and gates need to be closed in order for it to work and we found guests at the hostel weren't good at closing after themselves. The staff are very kind and welcoming but we got a bit hung up on the payment. We booked on Trip with the ”Pay at the Hotel” option for 3100 Egyptian pounds for three nights in a private room but they were asking for 3600 when we were checking in. After a little back and forth they let us check in and gave us the keys so we could rest and wait for the manager's answer. The manager said no to our booked rate, we were told we booked on Expedia and we now had to pay 3900 Egyptian pounds. I'm at a loss of words for this discrepancy between Trip and the hostel but there weren't better deals in the area we wanted to stay and we very reluctantly paid.
The room was just a place to sleep with a box to the side where our shower and toilet were. The box had no ceiling or ventilation so there were smells throughout the room from the drains. The beds were comfy but were not completely clean when we arrived - there was hairs in the bed sheets. The room cleanliness overall could have been better. The area is quiet at night and we got a good night's rest to spend our days exploring Cairo.
The breakfast was ok but there wasn't much room to eat in the common areas during our stay so we asked for breakfast in our room during our stay. We had a simple breakfast with a fried egg, cucumbers, tomatoes, cheese, banana, tea/coffee and Arabic bread. It is enough to get you through until lunch and is served starting at 8 pm. There is a convenience store close by that offers fairly priced snacks and drinks which you might want to seek out because they do not provide water at this hostel.
We hope this property improves because it seems like it used to be really good and the location is good as well.

So we were unable to do anything when we arrived, and we asked for help. It took almost half an hour to get to the hotel. depressed! The room was clean, but the mosquitoes were super! We stayed late, and the result was temporarily transferred to the bathroom outside the room, not very convenient. The hotel is indeed in the city center, but on the one-way street, playing Uber is very inconvenient, and the driver always takes a long time to arrive.

When we arrived at 9.15pm on 10/02/2023 at the entrance by Uber, the security team was busy socialising, and the entry was blocked. We unloaded our 4 bags and checked with the security of the entry. They showed the entry and advised to drag the bags around. I complained the incident to the duty manager at the reception who was defensive, interrogative, and said he would check the camera to confirm the credibility of the incident. We asked why we would complain if everything was as smooth as expected and walked away.

Rooms are unique & although the building old the bathroom modern & the beds very comfortable.
Great service & very attentive & helpful staff.
There are several restaurants within the hotel, offering a diverse option of cuisines.
Breakfast is served in the Carlos restaurant & excellent.
My only criticism, after enjoying one cocktail & making the decision to come back & eat later, they charged all of the service & local taxes but worse a cover charge. This small incident left me a bit annoyed & needless to say, I didn't go back to eat.
Other than this small thing I had a lovely experience staying here & would highly recommend.

Environmental sanitation facilities are okay.
It saves a lot of trouble by including three meals. Lunch and dinner include four dishes, one soup, and fruits. The chef uncle is pretty good at his craftsmanship. Although he looks fierce, he is very caring.
The two bosses are very nice people, warm and friendly, attentive and responsive to everything.

It all started with meeting Nabil the doorman with his beautiful smile and then with Yousef at the reception desk who helped us with our check in. Mostafa and Arafa from the house keeping, made our stay amazing with paying attention to details with their beautiful smile and attitude. Also Ibrahim as well made it a pleasant experience. To top it up Hashem the house keeping supervisor also made sure our needs are met and everything is to our liking. Abdullah El Sayed, ohhh ohhh what an amazing guy he is. Every morning made sure we are taken care off from our coffee, juices to making sure I have my specialty Egyptian breakfast made up to my likings. Fresh Iskandarani fool, taameya and to top it up feeteer meshaltet with 3assal. WOWWWW. Abdullah made sure to remember my type of coffee without asking (decaf coffee). Also Amr did an amazing job taking care of us when Abdullah is serving other tables. Sayed Farouk the lounge supervisor also made sure to receive our feedback with a great attitude and smile and we really enjoyed our conversation with him. Ayman, with his amazing smile and shisha, always made sure we are hooked the whole evening and with our couple visits to the restaurant. The pool team were unbelievable from Mohamad to Ayman with all the time amazing smile to Sameh at the aqua restaurant. These guys made our stay at the pool so great with paying attention to everything we need. The spa team were also amazing from Lobna to captain Hassan. The service was more than we asked for. Sameh Mahrous, what an amazing person he is with his beautiful smile and great talk we had. He is always there every afternoon at the lobby taking care of the customers and their needs. To top it up, we also received a follow up phone call from the hotel after 2 days to make sure we were satisfied with our stay. The Nile Ritz-Carlton Cairo is an amazing hotel with top notch service. Keep it up team and I hope to see you all again very soon.
