Then there is a large space and a kitchen. Even if you go out, you will be warm even if you cook yourself some noodles. There is a washing machine downstairs. It is a convenience supermarket. Although the supermarket is not big, it basically has everything you need. The cleaning is very clean every day, and luggage can be stored. I went to other places during the trip, so I stored my luggage here. For particularly early flights in the morning, there will also be a taxi service for you. There is a restaurant on the roof. The community is very safe and there are other restaurants. Traffic jams in Yangon are very serious in the afternoon now. Living here will save you a lot of time in traffic jams.

|1.29km from city centerI stayed there 19 nighs. There are some good points (mostly) and a few bad ones. Fistly the staff is very friendly and supportive. There can be no complaints about them. Secondly the management acted very responsible, when I was in a health danger situation. I am very thankful to them for that. The bad points: One Aircon was not working and I was told beyond repair. I waited for a word of excuse (or even compensation) by the General Manger Mr. Smith Tin Win Aye, but that never happened. Finally i asked 2 time for an appointment, only to hear that ”he is not free” ”he is busy”. Is that a proper way to behave by a GM ? I dont thinks so. Finally it must be mentioned that I could hear every word from the guests below my room. But total lack of sound isolation is common in Yangon.

|3.18km from city centerThis hotel seemed brand new. We stayed in a Junior Suite. Everything was sparkling clean, the blue velvet couches in the room looked like no one had sat on them before. Very gutsy of the designer to choose this color/material combination for couches in a hotel room. I’m afraid it’ll take one lousy guest and they won’t look as new anymore :-P Anyway, I enjoyed the elegance of the place through and through.. and for this price! You won’t find anywhere else in the world. I’d say this is Four Seasons quality, for which I’m used to paying 3-4 times more. The air-conditioning is superb. It keeps the temperature and air circulation exactly how you want it without the noise. In too many hotel rooms the AC blows on your face when you’re sleeping, not this one. You don’t see it or hear it, yet it’s chill and effective, which is exactly how you want it. The shower pressure is good, and the temperature is easy to navigate. I prefer the handheld that can be placed on a specific level on the wall, I find rain showers too wasteful, nevertheless it’s there. The toiletries are plentiful and conveniently come in pump containers. There’s shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion, and a soap bar. The room slippers are comfortable and pillowy, the bathrobes are light cotton fabric. Drinking water is complimentary, and provided in four 500ml glass bottles, replenished daily. There’s a small gym right by the spa, but it has all the essentials: 2 treadmills, a stationary bike, an elliptical trainer, a mat, and a dumbbell set starting at 2kg going to 20kg. I was the only one there all three times that I used it. The breakfast portion is on the smaller size. If you order the eggs Benedict it comes with 2 small eggs on white toast, and small pieces of smoked salmon. The sides include a jar of fruit salad, yogurt, and a bread basket. The cappuccino is really good. If you have a reason to visit Yangon, this is a must-stay.

Stayed 1 night after arriving in Yangon. The hotel is very slick, well run and professional. Check in was easy and straightforward. The staff were helpful, friendly and informative. There is a bar and coffee shop serving Lavazza coffee and other guest services too. The room service menu is good and spa services are very reasonable too. The room was very clean and had a nice, modern over sized bathroom. Although breakfast starts at 6, the restaurant is functioning and fully operational by 5.45. I was leaving to catch an early flight and managed some breakfast before leaving. A big thank you to reception and the chefs/breakfast staff for being very organised. Overall a good stay in a decent hotel. Would recommend.

Relatively many hotels in the same category say that it is much quieter. The service was not even said, the hotel waiter even put my dirty clothes in a neat stack and put them away. Thank you here. The tip was originally reserved for the waiter, but was rejected. One more thing, breakfast can be delivered to the room, which is not available in similar hotels.

The room is very well designed and has many smart things. It also has its own refrigerator. We asked the staff to help us with the decorations if possible and they did help us with all the decorations as much as they could. Shortly after, the hotel staff ran the door bell and surprised my family with a complimentary cake for our son. The 4 staff who came to surprise us Yee Mon Kyaw, May, Phillis,Myint Myint, my family would like to sincerely thank you all for your effort and kindness. The hotel immediately upgraded our room, upgraded our standard room without windows to a luxurious balcony room, and the view of the Ruiguang Shwedagon Pagoda from the balcony. They even prepared roses in bed and bathroom. Another thing that surprised me was that when we finished the view and returned to the room, we found the hotel sent us a beautiful cake and a postcard full of blessings. I was very impressed by their care and service to customers. In addition, the breakfast buffet they offer is very rich and delicious.

The view of the courtyard and poolside from the breakfast venue made me forget that I was in Myanmar, and I was able to enjoy a relaxing time.
However, perhaps because it had just reopened or because there were few guests, the breakfast options were few and poor, and some of the items were used from the previous day and were not delicious.
I was very disappointed because the rating would be halved if the breakfast level was low in a 5-star hotel.
I hope it will be improved in the future.

|1.65km from city centerThe room is great, with comfortable bed/pillows/bedding, etc. The staff in the restaurant where you have the free breakfast are outstanding. The food is great (amazing chefs). The ladies at the reception are beyond great (the guy at the reception isn't so friendly or does not seem to be happy being there so I don't know why he is there, just keep the nice ladies at the front desk who are always welcoming). To the point of this review, I went to the swimming pool today (9 Nov. 2023) and the person who is on duty there did not even care to assist at all and even rudely pointed at me to go and get a towel myself. He is some useless old man that did not even assist me with the pool side mattress for the sunlounger BUT as soon as I get into the pool, here comes a white couple and all of a sudden this useless old man has all the energy in the world and rushes to make sure they are comfortable by not only getting the mattress but also towels for them and even setup their sunlounger. I thought hotels are supposed to treat all guests equally but unfortunately their training from management must tell them otherwise. I have never experienced anything like that and that for me, was the tipping point and I would not recommend anyone to stay there because one fool can mess up an entirely great experience. Whoever was working on that day, should not be anywhere near hospitality. Pathetic customer service but if you want to be treated nicely because of your skin colour then maybe this is the hotel for you.

Hotel Scion is a truly unique boutique hotel in Yangon, and we have regularly visited there because my mother enjoys their location and I enjoy their spa. We found it to be very nice, small but cosy, and extremely comfortable for us. One of the outstanding feature is their rooftop bar, which is a great place to relax at night. And we really appreciate that they have a senior citizens discount promotion when we go there. Because my mother is 61, they provided a complimentary dinner for her, which she appreciated. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Hotel Scion Yangon, and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting in Yangon. Whether you are looking for a comfortable and cosy place to stay, a great location, excellent spa services, or even discounts for seniors, Hotel Scion Yangon has something to offer everyone. We will definitely be back again!

|4.99km from city centerGood old hotel with antique atmosphere and courteous service, I liked the room but got dissaponted that the bedsheets and towels are too old and not clean, and it has some more caveats.
The hotel is situated inward corner from the main street and need to call taxi every time just to get out, which is annoying if you want to go around the nearby area. Inside the hotel building there's one convenient store but the front desk never mentioned that and couldn't find it on the day of arrival. The biggest problem is there are so many noisy and dangerous street dogs nearby the hotel and they are barking at every car going in and out from the hotel, and when you try to walk back to the hotel it is really a big threat as they swarm and try to bite you even in the daytime. Those dogs are seriously damaging the hotel access and make the guests uneasy.

He is extremely nice and very well listener which is very important for that position! He take good care of his hotel guests and staffs . It was extremely unforgettable stay there because of Mr Aung Kyaw , Also all the staff are really humble and very well listen to guests without any negative attitude towards to others especially Restaurant Mr .Thiha and all F& B staffs and also HK team Ms Su and all who clean our room 501 with there lovely initiatives and front desk staff especially skinny and tall gentleman who ware glass , my apologies that I could not able to recall all the names. Also thanks to two security gentleman who always rent umbrella and really really thanks to General Manager Mr Aung Kyaw who made us to stay that hotel who is the one made hotel extra revenues Thanks very much Mr Aung Kyaw and all F& B staffs and FO staffs and Security team and also lovely HK team along Ms Su !!! Highly recommend to stay this hotel but first contact to GM Mr Aung Kyaw !!! Thanks very much for everything and will definitely be there whenever we do have yangon trip !!! Eilyas Aung
