I booked this for a surprise for my sisters 50th birthday to go to Amsterdam with the girls. Found this particular hotel on but after reading about it when to check on my trusty trip advisor and both had great reviews. Small boutique hotel situated a 10 minute walk from Amsterdam central station. It was on a corner so it was very quirky our particular room was for 3 of us and was triangular it was so lovely comfy beds tea and coffee making facilities and our own bathroom with shower. Whatever time of the day you came into reception there was always fresh complementary pastries crisps and sweets as well as teas and coffees. They booked cabs and recommend restaurants which they booked for us too. On our morning of leaving they gave us little bags with drinks snacks tissues and other bits for our journey home brilliant. I will definitely use them again and recommend the linden hotel.

We absolutely loved this wee hotel - the staff are so friendly and helpful. The room we had was lovely, the bathroom was teensy, but the layout worked really well. I love the ethos, the little messages dotted around, the soap, the little stroop waffles. The Jordaan area is a fascinating area to wander around and soak up the atmosphere. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the limitless tea and coffee in the sitting area on the ground floor is a fab idea (wish more hotels copied that one!). This area is just perfect for sitting and working on your laptop, or relaxing reading a book, enjoying a hot chocolate before heading out touristing. If you need any recommendations there on where to visit or eat - again, the staff were excellent. We will definitely go back and stay here again. We left early - only because we thought it better to return home due to the Covid-19 virus outbreak. Wishing all at Mr Jordaan all the very best to get through this crazy time.

The staff felt that everyone was very powerful in making this hotel more attractive. It made me feel friendly and warm (especially the lady at the reception! It was bright and just like a signboard girl). The hotel has converted traditional architecture into a modern boutique hotel. It is comfortable with an elevator and air conditioning. There was also Nespresso in the room. The amenities are also of good quality. The location is perfect (it takes about 10 minutes to reach the central station, so you don't have to worry about sightseeing, shopping, or dining). It took about 25 minutes by taxi to the airport for 45 euros. If the number of passengers is 3 or more and you have a lot of luggage, it may be more convenient than using public transportation. There is a refrigerator, but it's small and contains drinks that you pay for what you drink, so you can't put in too much extra.

So I wrote the following email/complaint to the managers of Vondel hotels and have never received a response! "To whom it may concern (to be addressed to Seniors at Vondel Group Hotels), I would like to start this note with – how very dare you! Since my stay with Hotel Mercier I have had multiple calls to my work place, a contact number of which I did not leave with Hotel Mercier - Disclosing personal information about my stay! I have since discovered that a friend of mine paid lots of money for a bottle of champagne to be delivered to my hotel room to celebrate my birthday, she has also been harassed. She informed me that today alone she has received 6 calls from your reception team at hotel Mercier and multiple emails due to a discrepancy with a deposit. Your reception team have sent her a threatening email claiming that If she doesn’t forward an email to myself then the hotel will illegally charge her card! What kind of team are you running here and how do you justify these actions? We paid for everything we used on your premises and even withstood the terrible service and disgusting attitude from the lady seating people for breakfast on Sunday morning. I have a composed a review of our stay at Hotel Mercier, but there seems to be a lot more to be added. Review is as follows – “The outer shell of this place is beautiful. You’re pleasantly surprised when you first arrive. The foyer is grand and the artwork is very eye catching however, when you spend some time here you realise things aren’t quite up to scratch. Firstly, the staff are un-organised. The reception and check in process is a bit chaotic. We arrived too early to check in and were told to just leave bags at reception but it’s not secure, not like a normal reception desk with staff on one side and visitors on the other, its completely open and accessible to anyone. Its great that they give guests the option to leave their bags but this should be in a more secure place. We spoke to the gentleman who was overseeing our check-in in regards to securing a late check-out and even mentioned we would be more than happy to pay for it. We were told it shouldn’t be a problem as there was no booking in the room after us. They asked what time would be convenient and we told them around 15:00 (check out is at 12:00pm) only 3 hours additional. The charge was 10euros per hour, pretty reasonable in our eyes. We assumed this was confirmed. On the second day we were ready to head out and passed by the reception and was summoned by another receptionist there who wanted to speak to us about our late check out. They said that actually it wouldn’t be possible to check out at 15:00 but the latest they could accommodate would be 14:00. When I questioned the reasonings for this the receptionist replied “because we now have a booking arriving”. I was standing at the desk next to the gentlemen with his laptop open and in plain sight for anyone to see. I men

The Times Hotel is very well located for all the central Amsterdam attractions. The rooms are quite variable and I would always suggest to pay the difference to take a standard room at least. The building is typically Amsterdam with tight corridors and some rooms are shaped in a quirky manner. The service is efficient but minimalist. The Luxury Canal View Room is the most expensive room in the hotel but can also be good value for four people. It is spectacular and highly recommended. All in all what you would expect in a hotel at the center of a big European city but clean, efficient and good value for the most part. I will always stay here when traveling to Amsterdam, given the option.

So, I am new to writing reviews on here. It is very rare that I actually take the time to write reviews for a hotel or restaurant, but I had a totally different outcome to what I was expecting of this hotel after reading the reviews! I came to this hotel for 5 nights last week with one of my best friends and we stayed in the Deluxe Double Room here. For a start, the location was central and only a 10 minute walk to any major attractions! It was perfect for what we needed! Upon checking in, we had a delay in our flight and the hotel was happy to accomodate the late hour upon which we were arriving. You have to check in next door at the Di Ann Hotel but this wasn't really an issue for us because it was just to get our key card! We arrived at 11pm and normally they are not open to check in at this time so I was really impressed that they made an exception for us! The room itself had fresh bedding and towels, all rolled up neatly for our arrival. I did not realise that there would be a hair dryer, mirror or even windows (after reading the reviews) at the hotel and this was also not listed in the facilities so I was happy with that (one less thing to pack!). Plus we had a big TV which had all sorts of UK and USA channels for us to watch in the night time. The room is a tad cold but this is fine if you are sensible enough to bring PJs! It did also warm up over the last few nights so no complaint there! The shower had amazing water pressure and a flexible adjustable temperature. The cleaners never disturbed us, and waited until we left each morning (which would sometimes be 12pm) till they entered our room to clean and change the sheets. There are lots of plugs available for you and a friend in the room (none were broken!) There was a desk as well and two large windows which we could open for fresh air. The floors do have a weed smell, but to me that's part of the Amsterdam experience! Plus as young tourists who are just looking for a bed for each night, we were fine with this. They provided us with a map of Amsterdam and were happy to give us recommendations. Upon arrival, they also greeted us with excellent customer service which made us feel very welcome. Upon leaving, the actual hotel has a reception which is open 9am-5pm, so the gent let us leave our luggage behind the desk (free of charge) for the day so we didn't have to carry them round the city (as our flight wasn't until 9pm). Overall, I had a perfect experience here. Please don't pay too much attention to the bad reviews. I have come to learn that more people post reviews if they have a negative experience, than those who have a positive experience. I honestly expected and feared the worst about this hotel service wise and comfortability wise but it was absolutely what we needed for a sightseeing trip with friends or as a couple. If you are looking for a 5* experience then you will need to set your budget higher, because this affordable boutique hotel provided exactly what we paid f

Although the rooms a tiny, the location and staff makes uf for any inconveniences. Breakfast is abundant and very fresh. There is free access to coffee and little snacks 24/7 which is a real benefit. We loved coming back from walking the city and enjoying a quick drink on the terrace before heading out again. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and had several suggestions for activities and good restaurants. The crazy Dane and his wife will return - so watch out Bob!

When booking the hotel, both of my friends and my friends clearly saw that it stated on Ctrip that it was less than two kilometers from Amsterdam Central Station. As a result, when I got off the train and looked at the map, I was about to leave the city of Amsterdam. The traffic was very inconvenient! ! ! It's really inconvenient! ! It takes more than an hour to get to the city center every day. The hotel is remote. If you plan to spend late in the city center every day, the suggestion is to book a hotel near the city. The night is a bit scary.

The Moevenpick Hotel offers a great view over the old town and is convenient accessable by train, tram, ship and car. I arrive on a rainy morning and was please with the friendly welcome by the Fornt Office Manager Mr. John Caucian who went the extra mile to make me feel special. This is very rare these days in a big hotel. He explained the Corona meassures, gave me tips for the town and a arranged a dining table and took time explain the views from my room in the 18th floor and the use the gym. All in a very polite and charming way. Next morning I got a personal welcome from the Manager during my breakfast. This personal service make me feel very special. Together with the clean and comfi room and for sure makes me coming back next time. Well done - Top service, great rooms and a very good location.

Overall, the hotel is nice and well located, surrounded by the main museums. There is plenty space in the bedroom. The furnituries are new as well as the bed, bed clothes and comforters. I would say that the room where I stayed was bad illumintated. My only complain is that the hotel did not enforcement what his staff said to me about the breakfast price. It was offered to me for 8 euros per person per day. When I made my check out I was obliged to pay 18 euros per person per day. To me it seems to be a normal practise at that hotel, since I did not see any token saying the breakfast price. Be aware too, when you are making your check out, the hotel will charge city taxe of you. In my case I had to pay 50 euros.

The location of the hotel is good. It is about a minute walk from the tram stop (No. 17), but the location is not in the city center, and it is quite convenient to take the tram. The service staff is very good and provide a lot of assistance. The breakfast provided by the hotel is also good, with a variety of drinks and bread. Since we only have one day of accommodation, we asked if we could leave our luggage when we checked out, and the hotel would be happy to help provide space for us! This is great! No need to run around with your luggage! It ’s just that some of the hot water bottles in the room do n’t work, and the bathroom hair dryers do n’t work either. But overall the price is very high! Cheap and convenient! If you come to Amsterdam next time, you should still stay here! Pretty recommended! The room is quite big overall!

Booked the Serre Bib Gourmand package, for a wonderful dinner at Serre and a stay at the Okura Hotel. From the moment the valet parked our car until we picked it up again, we had a superb stay. Wonderful staff, great room with amenities, fantastic hotel facilities. We had something to celebrate and were surprised by a very kind present delivered by room service. It's this level of detail that makes the difference. Very delighted the hotel pool and spa were open again ( a booking is needed). Dinner at Serre was great. Breakfast at La Camelia was delicious. My wife and I also attended the origami workshop, which was great fun. it was concluded with a behind the scenes tour of the Yamazoto restaurant. We must come back here and eat and Ciel Blue is also still high on my list. All in all a five star review, I can highly recommend this hotel!

I had another short break at the start of March in Amsterdam and once again stayed at this wonderful hotel. As always my stay was flawless from start to finish. The reception staff were so welcoming and friendly and my check in was handled swiftly and efficiently. Every member of staff, from my contact booking the room, the concierges, breakfast staff and even staff in passing are so helpful and cheerful. My room was immaculate and spotlessly clean. Very comfortable and an excellent bed. Every amenity has been thoughtfully taken care of. The hotel could not be better located for staying in Amsterdam. Although right on busy and lively Dam Square, once inside it is tranquil and elegant throughout. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. I am looking forward to returning very soon when the current travel restrictions are no longer in place. I wish everyone at the Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky well at this difficult time.
