I’m all for trying out small town, non-chain places but this one is really not up to par. They tried to update it slightly with some new furniture and bedding but left the skeleton of the place still from the 70’s. Our room had an old wall heater/air conditioner (I assume they all do) and when we came in our room was freezing. We tried to adjust it before we left for the evening only to find out it wasn’t working. Called the front desk on the grubby phone in the room that if it was any older it would be a rotary (at least that would have some Charm) and they sent a guy up to get it going. Needless to say I didn’t sleep much as it was spend cooking or freezing as I had to constantly get up and re adjust the temp. The bathroom certainly wouldn’t meet the codes of today’s standards when you literally have to climb into either the 70’s tiled tub or on top of the toilet to close the door. Micro sink with no space to put anything beside. Not even a towel hanger. Only one was above the toilet (how convenient and sanitary). The shampoo and conditioner samples left there looked like they had been leftovers from somewhere and possibly used prior. The bed itself was firm and ok to sleep on. The sheets seemed clean enough. We brought our own pillows so I don’t know how they were. Carpets were decent and looked fairly clean. The door to our room wouldn’t close properly unless you lifted and pulled/pushed it. Looked like someone had broken into it at one time. Evidence of damage and replaced bolts without any maintenance. People were friendly. Complementary breakfast was one type only but decent food. Overall ok if you have no where else to go. Wouldn’t go back unless significant Reno’s were done. Spend the extra $50 to go to a chain hotel nearby.

Stayed here for a basketball tournament in town. Front desk people were amazing, and made sure the entire team was taken care of. They put us all on the same floor next to each other and even gave the kids coupons for some of the restaurants in town. Rooms are large, clean and comfortable. In the morning they made sure the kids all slept good and had enough to eat for breakfast. Even let us know when one of our kids forgot an item in the room. Would stay there again.

I had a comfortable and welcoming stay at Country Club Inn - Lacombe the long weekend in August. Sam and Ellen were accommodating and helpful, giving directions, and suggestions. The breakfast included had nice variety and was available even a little later than advertised. Location is ideal, quiet and easy to find. Bed was comfortable. I brought my own pillows so had an excellent sleep all 3 night. I would highly recommend.

My wife and I recently celebrated our 35th anniversary at the Best Western Lacombe hotel and suites. Upon check in we were notified that we were receiving a complimentary upgrade to our Jacuzzi Suite for our anniversary! This was our fourth visit this summer to the B.W. Lacombe and it has become one of our favourite hotels and min vacation destinations during these pandemic times. Health and safety is a priority at this hotel and we witnessed staff complying with all of the Covid 19 protocols. Check in was smooth and the staff at this hotel are very professional and friendly. My wife and I were impressed with the breakfast that was provided in the morning and we were happy that we were able to book the work-out room. If you are looking to get away on a mini vacation this hotel and the city of Lacombe is an excellent safe destination with great restaurants, sight seeing and friendly people.

Breakfast is $ 31 / person, and the restaurant service for dinner is good, but the taste is really average. An old store with a long history, the price is very close to the people at Fairmont level, the temperature of the pool is very good, it is recommended to try

Overpriced due to the location in West Edmonton mall. Parking is awkward & mostly unavailable at this time of the year so using the valet is a good idea. Absolute mayhem in the lobby and after a lengthy wait there wasn’t even a welcome or hello. It was very noisy & hard to hear or make out what the front desk clerk was saying especially with such a thick accent. People lined up all over the place & frustration ensued with line jumpers. No facilities to speak of as most are at the mall for a cost. We did not have a fantasy room & were located in the “Western” section where the room doors had horses in their stables. The housekeeping staff are very polite & helpful and the room albeit showing it’s age, was spotless. The rooms were quiet, beds are extremely comfortable, great to have a fridge & coffee maker as well. Lighting is awkward and not many outlets for charging. Great checkout time of 1200. Definitely need some updating.

1. The location is not in the city center, it is on the south side. The building is 10 stories high and there are no other high-rise buildings in the surrounding area. It is very suitable for overlooking the sky and the evening glow. 2. The facilities and facilities are quite satisfactory, and the height of the bed is high. This is the standard configuration of North American hotels, and the hardness is moderate, not hard or soft. 3. There are 2 restaurants in the hotel, 4404 restaurant is recommended, and there is also a bar service at night. The draft beer inside is local craft beer, which is very authentic. 4, across the wide driveway in front of the hotel, is a shopping and living area, there are North American supermarket Wal-Mart, Chinese supermarket Datonghua, Korean supermarket HMart, as well as Western food, gourmet fast food, Chinese and Japanese restaurants, etc. about 10 restaurants It is quite rich. 5. With free WIFI, you can use it freely, there is no limited speed limit, and there is no problem in watching movies 6. When I went to live at the end of 2019, no one felt like it, and I didn't see a Chinese move in. The front desk staff are all foreigners, all are English-speaking and no Chinese-speaking 7. One flaw is that the faucet from the washbasin has a small water outlet, but the water from the bathtub faucet is very hot.

Hotel location should not be in the city center, the surrounding is very empty, said that the Garden Hotel did not see the garden, not far from the West Edmonton Shopping Center, there is free parking by car! The hotel's internal facilities are very good, the rooms are large and comfortable, surrounded by McDonald's KFC, the hotel has a swimming pool and a small spa pool to ease the fatigue of the journey. Check-in requires a credit card pre-authorization, pay attention to see if there is a bottle of water in the room!

The suite breakfast is on the 3rd floor and can be delivered to the room before 2 o’clock. Parking is very convenient. There are stadiums nearby, you can go to the concert. The subway bus is very convenient. There are very few pedestrians at night. Many shops close at 3 or 6 in the afternoon. There are bars and entertainment facilities that open at 6 in the evening, and ordinary people seldom go there.

Every day, breakfast is bread, milk, yogurt, coffee, eggs, ham, bananas, oranges, apples, no vegetables, and a variety of jams. There are 2 large beds of 1.5 meters in the room, suitable for bringing children together. No slippers, toothbrushes can be picked up at the service desk. The hotel is very convenient to travel in the city center, and the Chinese restaurant on the first floor tastes good. The parking lot costs $10.5/night for overnight stays and no charge for overnight stays.

The location of the hotel is very convenient, there is a big supermarket superstore, McDonald's with a playground next to it, Chongqing hot pot in two or three minutes' drive, and Prince Edward Cantonese restaurant on the other side of the road. Drive to the south park center for shopping, Tatung Wah is there, as well as Cantonese flavor, 825 Hong Kong tea restaurant and so on. Easy parking, breakfast, swimming pool. However, the hotel facilities are relatively old, the front desk is relatively simple, and the quality of breakfast is average: oatmeal, waffles, scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausages, bread, cakes, yogurt, circles, hot drinks, juice But at the end, there was not even hot water. There is no thermos in the room and the restaurant does not provide 24-hour hot drinks. Since you are carrying a child and need hot water, you can only use a coffee machine to boil hot water, or use a microwave to heat the water. No coin laundry. The swimming pool is small. There was a strange noise in the elevator, which vibrated several times each time. There is a car market nearby, and infrastructure is still under construction, but no noise is heard. Affordable but not very comfortable.

Ctrip.com commented that the hotel was "poor" and booked the hotel with anxiety. - Because the hotel is in the city center - the subway is convenient for transportation - it is very convenient to go to the "H" Italian restaurant - there is an airport to the hotel bus, so I know the bad reviews too. Booked. However, the beautiful airport hotel bus is sent to the hotel door for 18 yuan one-way - the front desk reception is a handsome Chinese guy, speaks Mandarin. The hotel is warm and welcoming. The swimming pool gym is on the top floor of the 27th floor - the scenery is very good and the room is upgraded to the 20th floor. After that, I also booked a Greyhound bus ticket to Calgary for me. It is worth a big compliment. This hotel is a five-star hotel on Ctrip.com, but it is a four-star hotel on Google Maps. But the hotel room facilities are good, the shower faucet is very good, completely subverting the original cognition. And in the past two days, I saw a Chinese tour group, and there was Chinatown nearby - although it was not big and felt that the law and order was not good, "Happy everyone" produced good, especially after the meal, the sugar was great! Shantou Simi is free to eat - Qilian drink three bowls! Almost help the wall to leave the "Happy Music" restaurant! Figure 3 "H" Italian restaurant is also near Chinatown, the production is very good, the environment is very good, worth 4.6 points!

Very satisfied, very clean, free parking, there are two big supermarkets, save on foods and Shoppers, seven or eight minutes walk is the most lively food festival, there are several restaurants with good value for money, it feels like a local online shop. The hotel provides a laundry room, two knives for laundry, two knives for drying, and two knives for washing powder. The little girl at the front desk was very nice and gave a lot of help. The pancake machine in the morning was the most advanced inn that I lived in, and it was automatically clicked. Think of a blank inn in the American Innn who bakes a pie. Morning fruit banana apple orange, recommended!

Very good hotel, the rooms are quite big and the price is reasonable. Just gave our room next to the elevator and there was noise. There is a free breakfast, but note that the week starts at 7:30. Stayed here as a staycation with my 2 sons. Due to COVID 19 you have to book a 45 minute pool time- you can't go when you want & for how long. But the pool was great, slide works. The rooms were ok, everything was clean & check in EASY! Staff polite & helpful. Also due to COVID 19 the breakfast has been changed- but disappointing- very disappointing. You get a pre made container, zero choice of anything. In the pre-packed container was an apple (fresh), a walnut muffin (very surprising due to nut allergies), an uncut still half frozen sunflower seed bagel & a yogurt. No choice in anything, no juice, no water etc. I think giving customers a choice would be better & reduce waste. None of us ate the bagel - thankfully no nut allergies so we all ate the muffin. We each got different yogurt flavours.

We stayed at the JW Marriott in Edmonton overnight on October 31, 2020. Having been frequent travellers as a family over the years, we have stayed in Marriott properties all over North America, Europe and Asia. It was an amazing experience to stay at a hotel local to our home town which had the feel of a world class hotel. Right from check-in, we experienced friendly, thoughtful service from Waseem. With our lifetime Titanium Elite status and suite upgrade certificate, we still appreciated the upgraded suite and the next day late check-out. When we told the check-in team that we were staying at the hotel to celebrate our daughter’s 18th birthday, they happily said that there will be a little surprise. We went up to our beautiful suite, which was beautifully appointed and very spacious. The bathroom itself exuded luxury which we have not found in any other hotel in Edmonton so far. My wife said she even appreciated the art in our room, which included something from a local artist depicting the North Saskatchewan river in a creative way; she thought it was special for the hotel to show off a bit of Edmonton. In a short time, a beautiful tray of yogurt parfait, fresh fruit, and a delicious slice of cake was delivered to us, with a special, hand-written card (by Aryan) for our daughter, wishing her a Happy Birthday. She was so thrilled with this gesture, and this marked nicely the beginning of her birthday celebrations. We were excited to participate in a Paint Night at the hotel that evening, which included an Art Tour led by a very knowledgeable Chef Concierge Kyle. Our family was WOWed by this facility in so many ways. Such thoughtful design from the art hanging on the wall, to the shape of the lobby, to echoes of Edmonton’s hockey greats in various public spaces, to beautiful living wall enclaves. And the fitness center!! Extremely spacious with state of the art equipment. Kudos to the design team for this facility for incorporating local flavor and “ice district” highlights in so many beautiful ways. We were in and out of the hotel throughout the stay and every time, greeted enthusiastically from each member of the staff that we walked pass. Chats with Waseem, Aryan and Kyle, comparing notes on various properties around the world, and even sharing bits about our families made this hotel stay unlike any other, so personable and welcoming in every way. This is a hotel that we will definitely return to whenever we want to take future Stay-cations. In fact, we have already recommended this hotel to friends and family. Thank you so much, JW Marriott Edmonton team. You gave us a memorable, fantastic stay.
