The hotel is overall great and should be the best hotel in Haifa. Breakfast is very rich, there is a charge for the parking lot downstairs, the room has a balcony, facing the harbour, below is the sky garden. It was a lot of hours for us to wait for more than an hour in the afternoon. This is very uncomfortable.

The hotel is well located, about 200 meters walk to the top of the sky garden. All rooms can overlook Haifa Bay at night, and the windows are large, but the hotel room facilities are slightly simple. The front desk attitude is relatively cold. There is a small parking lot (more than 10 parking spaces) in front of the hotel, free of charge. We arrived in January, the parking spaces are empty and there are many parking spaces near the hotel. The bus can reach the top of the sky garden, not far from the hotel.

The hotel was very clean and stylish. Our room was exactly like in the pictures. We got parked right outside the hotel for free which was very convenient (on street parking). It is excellently located in the German Colony right at the foot of the Bahá’í Gardens and lots of lovely restaurants a short distance away. The main thing that stood out about the hotel however was the staff. I left my passport at the hotel and didn’t realise until we got to Tel Aviv. The receptionist at our Tel Aviv hotel phoned the City Port hotel who found the passport and then incredibly, as one of the staff members was coming to Tel Aviv that night, they said they would bring it with them. Not only that, but they went out of their way to bring it to me directly at my Tel Aviv hotel. From being in such a panic at having lost my passport, I was so grateful and relieved! I can’t imagine many hotels would have gone out of their way to that degree and for that (and the fact that the hotel itself is lovely) I would recommend it to anyone!

The wealthy area on the top of the mountain is uniquely located, and there is nothing to be around. The Bay View Room is very satisfactory. The price is very good, the attitude of the hotel staff is also good! The breakfast was very good, I liked their aunty, and the salad was delicious. I will stay in Haifa later. The only trouble is that Ctrip has already paid online, but said that it has not received the payment. After that, Ctrip contacted Booking and said that it was the reason for the recipient. I hope that I will not be deducted twice, and I am annoyed. Since this is not the case, I am not as good as BOOKING.

What a shame! This hotel has a lot of potential if only the time and effort could be put in to upgrading it. As it was, our room while large, was lacking in basic amenities. The bathroom window had no screen opened out onto the street level a serious safety hazard as anyone could force their way in through it from off the street. The shower door wasn’t flush with the floor which led to the water flooding the floor. This seems to be a common design flaw in Israeli hotels or at least from my experience. Beautiful French doors between bathroom and bedroom no glass panels. Bed pushed up against window impossible to open the windows and room too hot! Unable to get hot water for desperately needed shower second evening climbed up four flights of stairs to be met with a female staff who looked down her nose at me came to our bathroom ran the water and told me “ you have hot water” No we didn’t! Complained next morning to Colleen who was fabulous by the way she investigated and found out the boiler had been turned off the night before. Hotel is in a run down area very limited places to eat. Supposed to be revitalized...saw no evidence of this.

The hotel is a terrific combination of location and accommodations. It is on Ben Gurion Blvd in the heart of the German Colony, with a great view of the Bahai Gardens. Each room is different, and ours had two very comfortable chairs which were great for sitting in and hanging out with each other. We also loved having a big bathtub in the room, very romantic. We spent most of our 3 days in the room, whereas we usually want to spend as little time as possible in it. The staff is super friendly. For breakfast they give you vouchers you can use in any of 4 restaurants; you can order in some of them in the afternoon as well and the "breakfast" is huge. The room was super clean and the bed felt comfortable and new/

The breakfast was good, the location of the hotel was very good, just on the German street below the garden, the whole German street was eaten and drank, and there was a small convenience store opposite the hotel. We booked a deluxe room, the room on the 2nd floor is slightly smaller than the domestic one, the bathroom is not small, the hot water is quite big. There is a kettle. The height of the floor is quite high. The window of the room can see the golden dome of the garden. There is a terrace on the top of the building to get up early to watch the sunrise.

Needed a place to escape from missile attacks at the South of Israel. Thankfully Loui Hotel agreed to accommodate me at a discount. Stayed for 3 nights, one person, stay was peaceful. Room was spacious, pleasant, reasonably clean, mostly quiet. Staff were polite and welcoming. Location was a 3-minute walk from several bus routes and some useful basic stores. It's a low-end / casual place, but I feel even if I payed the full rate I found in deals online the hotel would be worth it. Would come back again. EXTREMELY grateful for discount that allowed me to take this much needed break. Thank you very much.

Okay, Bauhaus building. The room is very old, but it is considered the center of Haifa. It's not far from various attractions. The front desk is very kind and helpful. The room is really old. It is recommended not to eat for breakfast. They are all simple salad cheese, which Chinese people are not used to.

Although i came for a business trip to Haifa, i decided to stay for an extra night at this charming new boutique hotel at the heart of the German Colony. I explored a beautiful city that i didn't know before, outstanding visit... after an authentic and colorful breakfast at a near by restaurant, i explored the iconic Baha'i Gardens within a 10 minutes waking distance from the Hotel. For lunch i chose to make a visit to the new port of Haifa, and ate at a great Levantin Restaurant by the name of ROLA. For the afternoon, i used the hotel Scooter to reach the near by promenade and beach, lucky me coming from cold EU, this is a 12 months around the clock Summer Country. Just before dinner, the hotel offers happy hour on the roof top terrace, with local wine and great locking sunset, view of the port and the Carmel mountain. I spoiled myself with a Swedish massage at the hotel cozy treatment room. For the night i started with the unbeatable view of the Haifa Bay, that reminded me the view of San Francisco bay.... i couldn't think of any food, but had plenty of room for good cocktail and good looking people... found it all at the Fatush Gallery at the port district, I felt as i was in Berlin for few hours... to finalize and for me the most important part, was the kindness and knowledgeable hotel staff that gave me a complete pkg of life memorable experience. (for a 2nd i forget that this was a short business trip.... ) i will defiantly come back again with my wife to explore the hidden gems in this unaccepted city!

How is this hotel so highly rated on trip advisor? This is akin to a lodging or a hostel rather than a respectable hotel. I would give a zero if possible for the following reasons:- 1. Rooms The dirtiest rooms i have ever been in. Very dusty. Toilet is never scrubbed. Carpets are only vacuumed on request and are so dirty that you cannot walk barefoot in the room. Windows have never been cleaned and management seems to rely on rain to keep them clean. Beddings are never changed. Towels are worn out,old and should be thrown away. 2. Staff Management is very hostile and mentioned that we shower like pigs.Yet the shower does not have a draining system. The hotel is severely understaffed. One or two boys have been tasked with cleaning all rooms which they fail at fantastically. The beds are never made, they do not use any cleaning products and do not observe basic hygiene standards. The night staff do not speak english and cannot assist you in any matter. 3. Facilities The hotel does not have a gym yet it is rated 3 star on trip advisor. The conference facilities are improvised with uncomfortable seats and inadequate ventilation. The rooms vary greatly even though they are of the same category. Some are so small you cannot fit a suitcase. 4. Food. Food was inadequate and of poor quality. Breakfast, lunch and dinner was the same meal and lacked variety and creativity. Dessert was not provided.

The Golden Crown Hotel is located in the German Quarter, very close to the port and the Bahá'í Gardens. The location is very good. Hotel facilities are also ok. It didn't feel good about the hotel's service: when we arrived, we had a special request for a slightly larger room with two children; the hotel waiter took me to visit two rooms that were not bad; but the key to stay. It was a completely different room, the size was small, the window was still facing a wall, and there was a big cockroach afterwards; we had to ask for a room change, and the waiter cleaned up a room of the same price. (This room has a larger window area), but the front desk doesn't know why, we have to wait until late to give us the keys. On this day's toss, Xiaobao started a high fever at night. Of course, the hotel also has several very kind service staff, but overall the attitude of the hotel staff is relatively indifferent. The hotel offers breakfast, which is quite rich; but lunch and dinner need to be eaten at the surrounding restaurants. Xiaobao has had nothing to eat during his illness.

The apartment is in a convenient and busy part of town - shops, restaurants, public transportation and taxis are easily accessed. Bus rides to the Baha'i gardens, to other parts of town, and taxis to the train station were convenient. The main street can be noisy, but the apartment is set back in a parallel space which is quieter. The apartment is self-catering, but some basic necessities that should have been provided were not: salt, pepper, hand soap. We expected to buy our own food, but don't want to buy a kilo of salt and pepper for a few days visit. And after a long journey, it is not nice being unable to wash our hands. The apartment is associated with a restaurant downstairs (same owner). The restaurant staff give apartment guests the key, but clearly don't know anything about the apartment itself and don't have a hospitable manner with people arriving sometimes after extremely long travel. Some training on this point would improve the experience. The cleanliness of the apartment was good, but not excellent. There was a broken side-table lying disassembled on the bedroom floor. The apartment is fully renovated in a modern style. When used in full, has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a small kitchen and a small sitting area. The apartment may also be divided into two adjoining, private spaces as there is a lockable door between the two ensuite bedrooms and the possibility of two separate entrances. This can be good for friends / couples travelling together, or for a family with children/teens.

We went as a couple in a group of 3 couples to visit Israel for the first time from Malta. Tamer Guest House was recommended by a local friend and we did not regret it! Our hosts, George and his wife, daughter and son were outstanding in making us feel at home and welcome. We were treated to fantastic breakfasts in the new breakfast room with on tap coffee, local bites to eat plus sweet pastries. George assisted with providing cars for us to explore Haifa as a group, and was always on hand to welcome us back home, and it felt like home too. There are several 'units' that consist of a lounge, bedroom, kitchenette and ensuite bathroom with fantastic water pressure in the shower. The accommodation was clean, cosy and ample for our needs. When we departed, George provided transport to the train station and his wife left little souvenir gifts for us. Overall, we rate this Guest House tops and next time we visit, we will be straight back here. Thank you for making our trip memorable! Larisa & Neil xx

I just stayed here for 2 nights & the location was just a few blocks from the “Haifa center-hashmona” train station(direct trains to Akko & Tel Aviv)& the revitalized “downtown” on one side & the German colony on the other side of the hotel. In fact, Eli’s pub, which is supposed to be a fun place is NEXT door. Few cafes/food across the street-some closed by 8p!The apt was very secure: need pin code to enter bldg & also your room. The kitchen included 4 instant coffee packets, 2 roast coffee pkts,4 classic tea pkts, sugar, salt & pepper, corkscrew, & of course plates, silverware& glasses/mugs.The WiFi & individual ac worked great. The roof top terrace was nice for the view, but didn’t have a single table or chair(??!!). The bathroom shower was on the small side but did include 1 small bar of soap, lotion, liquid body wash & shampoo/conditioner, but NO HAIRDRYER (I did not ask at the front desk if they had one to borrow- I did at my next Israel hotel when I encountered the same situation & they did, so maybe that’s how it was at Diana(?). Don’t forget to turn on the boiler 15 min b/f showering. The daily housekeeping consists only of providing fresh towels & removing used ones & pulling trash. The ladies at the front desk were very nice & helpful. There are a few grocery stores within 1-3 blocks that they directed us to that also sells beer, wine & spirits(only til 11p in Israel). Finally, there is a laundry room in the bottom floor (instructions posted in English too) with 2 washing machines (15 nis) & 2 dryers (20 nis) -the laundry detergent is included & is in the white “garbage can” in the pic

This was a really clean and beautiful place, and the staff were friendly. We stayed 3 nights and were surprised our room wasn't cleaned once! The team cups weren't replaced and I wouldn't have minded cleaning them but there was nothing left to clean them with. Also the shower leaked all over the floor and there was no bath mat either so we had some wet towels which weren't replaced. HOWEVER, saying that, the location was brilliant - really close to a street full of restaurants and really close to the Baha'i Gardens. I would definitely recommend but cleaning would be preferred...

We have ordered room for 3 nights for 2 adults and 1 child. On arrival we found the room has only one double bed, and no bed for child. Only after long arguing on phone room's owner agreed to add folding bed. The bed quality was so bad it did not allow normal sleeping, and room owner just refused to help anymore. There is no room cleaning nor towels replacement during the stay, one roll of toilet paper. Location is pretty nice, the building is just next to nice beach, with some restaurants on it. There is a free parking, however it's not easy to find free lot near the building itself, but usually there are free lots if you walk few minutes. If I understand correctly, rooms in this building owned by different dealers, so if you find a friendly one - stay here can be nice.
