3.26km from Abbey Point CafeWe booked a room for a concert we were attending at Wembley Stadium. As there were 4 of us we booked into the family room which was nice and light nad spacious but there was a distinct smell which was akin to cat pee, but my friend thought it might just be damp... there was a rickety bunk bed and a double bed in the room, in my mind the room is certainly big enough to remove the bunk and replace with 2 single beds which would probably be safer as due to this being an old building and the floors less than level made climbing aboard a bit like stepping onto a boat. The room was clean and tidy but there was not enough milk for a 4 person stay which was disappointing. As for Breakfast, all I can really say is don't even waste your time. This was a real let down for a B&B that otherwise was what you woudl expect for the price.. there was an egg boiler, with just 2 eggs in... toast, meat and cheese, yoghurt, pastries, cereal in big containers and milk and juice in jugs. All sounds wonderful, however everything was just on the cheap catering side of the market and not pleasant. The milk in the jug was actually off which when another customer pointed this out received a response of "is ok..." no.. it really was not. The coffee was also awful... I can recommend to the hotel that they would be better off just supplying toast & jam, individual cereal and individual natural yogurt with a berry compot (which could be frozen) and a coffee machine... this would be preferable to what was on offer. In all though, you get what you pay for and we paid for an average room which we received. The only thing over and above was the servcie of the barman on our arrival, who booked a taxi to wembley and was very pleasant and helpful. I did not catch his name though but he deserves a mention for his excellent customer service.
