A nice location in Aberdeen, a 5 minute walk to the centre. The hotel actually used to be a Police station, we asked a local, and that would explain the blue window frames, the concrete facade and the underground car park area, which would have been used to take detained persons (DPs) into booking. Inside however, the building is nice and modern, and in the middle of a refurb. They only have one lift working currently, the other one wrapped in plastic as of it is new and the walls around the lift needing a plaster and paint. The rooms are also nice and big, different to the newer hotels, which have much smaller rooms, but still have the classic Premier Inn feel. The only reason that I’m knocking off 1 star is the extortionate pricing of the car park. It is £7 for up to 24 hours for hotel residents, but if your not staying in the hotel, it’s £6, which is crazy. The friendly staff also left a nice present in our room, with 4 chocolate bars, 2 yorkie & 2 aero, to say thanks for staying, which was a very nice touch and I’ve never had that ever when staying in a Premier Inn. Very nice.

Everything about this hotel was great. The location was fantastic, near the shops and only a 20 min walk to the beach. All staff very helpful. My room was clean, bed comfortable and the best thing about it was the air conditioning!! Walking into my room to be greeted by a lovely cool wave was so good after being outside in the heatwave all day! Wifi was excellent and I had a good sized desk in my room to work from. Breakfast had a great selection of food. I would definitely stay here again when I next visit Aberdeen.

The noise from the bar was unbearable. We were traveling with family, and couldn't sleep until the bar closed at 1 AM on Saturday night. I litterally had a pillow wrapped around my head to try to sleep but I could still hear the music, bass and voices through the paper thin walls. We thought that our Sunday night would be better, with the bars being slower and closing earlier, but the noise issues continued. This time, we could hear guests in another room talking, playing music, slamming doors until about midnight. But it didn't end there. We could then hear them loudly having sex for about an hour until 1 AM. It was great to try to explain to young people what was going on in the room next door, considering we could hear these people as if there were no walls at all. Then, at 6AM the following morning, we could once again hear them talking, even yelling. Combined for two nights, we got about 9 hours of sleep during a very busy and very tiring portion of our trip. The noise nearly made me forget about the impossibly small shower. I'm tall by European standards at about 6'3'', but the clearance of the ceiling in the shower was only about 5'6''. I've dealt with low shower heads before, but I don't recall not even being able to stand in a shower. It was one of, if not the worst hotel experience we've had.

Me and my partner decided to go on holiday for a week in Aberdeen. We enjoyed the night life, the beautiful places the restraunts. However if there one thing we didn't enjoy it was the conditions of the hotel room at the Station Hotel. The walls was disgusting dirty marks, the room wasn't clean except the bed. The carpets had stains on them, no blackout carpets, no air conditioning me and my partner was boiling hot. Absolutely shocking I even called to get our room changed but we didn't. We had a loose toilet seat, the TV was faulty, had scratches on them, some channels were not working (poor signal) the sound was awful. Oh and how can I forget the noise of the Seaguls. Windows was covered in Seaguls droppings, the windows were so high we had to get a chair to open the windows. I let the reception know that we needed our bathrooms and room cleaned. Was told our rooms would get cleaned, the rooms didn't get cleaned we had to buy a bottle of flash. These problems caused me and my partner not to get a lot of sleep. When we arrived at the hotel we didn't get help with our luggage, we were on the 4th floor. We had to get a lift to the 3rd floor then climb up the stairs. It would have been nice if the staff helped as we had a lot of luggage. Not a great experience We loved Aberdeen but hated the hotel. Please avoid this hotel. We won't be back we feel robbed.

Superior location. The hotel has good facilities. In front of the gate is the river. It's safe, too. I do a lot of running in the morning. Next to it is a new shopping mall. Later, I found that there are many noodles to eat. You can also see the scenery outside. Very good.

The small sink is so cute! !! If you catch a flight the next day, it is a good choice for classmates and parents. A 10-minute walk from the hotel to the airport is very convenient, and you can get up late in the morning. [Location] The hotel is next to Aberdeen Airport, 10 minutes away. If you enter the city, take a taxi: 01224 494949, which is about 15-20 pounds. The bus is also very convenient. It takes 727 to walk for 3 minutes, and the one-way fare is 3.5 pounds. [Health] Very clean hotel [Value for money] High value for money, newer equipment, the cheapest Courtyard hotel in the UK is 600 yuan a night (may be slightly more expensive in November, winter and summer) [wifi] Wi-Fi is free [Room size] The room size is normal, not big, but not small. Two people will not feel crowded when staying. Better than too many European Hiltons. [Parking] You can park downstairs [Service] The ladies at the front desk are so warm and tender that they can melt into their sweet smiles. When you stay in Scotland for a long time, you will have a glass heart. Because the Scottish people are too enthusiastic, London will not, and the front desk will not answer (not for the Chinese but for everyone).

Overpriced food and drinks, friendly, attentive staff. Excellent location for us as we had to be near Aberdeen infirmary. Room was lovely with a super comfortable bed, crisp clean sheets. Excellent bathroom, with amazing shampoo/conditioner/shower gell etc, really power shower. We decided to order room service at 9pm as you have the option of “nite bites” which is a little cheaper only to be told call back 9:30pm despite advertising from 9pm. Called back 9.30pm to be advised only a la cart menu available, so we chose to leave it. Some were for a special occasion which you can save for, unfortunately we didn’t have that option due to personal circumstances

We travelled to Britannia, Aberdeen with Caledonian for a 5 day, 4 night trip. Due to the bad reviews the hotel receives, we were not expecting much. To our surprise we couldn't have been more wrong and so glad that we ignored the bad posts. We had a problem with the hot water which the maintenance guys tried to fix but eventually we were moved to another room. Both the rooms were big with loads of space for clothes and the beds were very comfy. Although the rooms are not cleaned during your stay (unless you ask) we could get supplies of towels, tea, coffee, milk etc whenever we asked from reception. All the staff worked extremely hard, were always friendly, helpful and a credit to Britannia. A special mention to the barman (I'm sure his name was Alan) as he made everyone feel welcome and worked tirelessly. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and dinner and although we planned to go out in the evening we decided to stay at the hotel, relax and enjoy talking to other guests. Instead of writing bad reviews, customers should just speak to reception who I'm sure will try to sort out any issues.

Stayed here just for the one night. Check-in was great, fast, efficient and really friendly. Room was typical Premier Inn standard, the only way of cooling the room is by opening the window the small amount that is possible, the ”A/C” in the room only capable of heating. When checking in I overheard the lady behind the counter talking about fans in the room, but unfortunately there wasn't one in my room. When going to dinner I asked at the desk if there were any more and I was advised that they were all gone, but that they would try and find me one. By the time I got back they had already put one in my room. Made the night 100% better as it was so hot (recent hot weather period) but the circulating breeze was just enough to cool it and allow a reasonable sleep. The adjacent eatery (The Shepherds Rest) was great, friendly staff and the food I had there (fish & chips for the evening meal, and breakfast) were all really tasty! If you're in Aberdeen, unless it's a heatwave, would recommend staying here

The only disadvantage I can think of is that it's a good twenty minute walk from the centre of town, but once I had the buses worked out, that wasn't a problem. The Chester is a stylish, classy hotel, a bit disjointed as it's converted from a number of separate houses knocked together but there's good signage so once I knew it was simplest to access my room from the restaurant entrance, it was easy to find my way around. I had a club room and it was enormous, with an equally huge bathroom with lovely deep tub. It was all very deluxe, although the colour scheme made it a bit masculine for my taste. But this is being picky - I had masses of space and it all felt very chic. It was quiet too. I really appreciated the refiillable bottles of water in the fridge, and a proper kettle so I could make my own tea. I ended up eating in the Gallery restaurant on both the nights I stayed as the food was so good the first night. The young staff are terrifically friendly and helpful, and really made my stay. I would happily stay again.

My parents enjoyed their stay here last year so decided to return again this year. They stayed in a normal room last year but decided to book a deluxe room this time. The deluxe room was much smaller than the normal room and had an even worse view. It was pretty disappointing just how small the room was, there was no table in the room and only one chair to sit on. The window looked into another window from a different part of the hotel at the side, and there were extractor fans below which didn't turn off until midnight. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room, just the electric base for the kettle but no kettle (this was rectified however by speaking to reception). My parents were a bit tired after their journey, so wanted to have a take-away in their room on the first night but this was impossible as there was no table and only one chair. The end of the beds were so close to the old tatty desk in the room that you had to squeeze past to get to the bathroom. The staff were all really friendly and helpful, but there's been a noticeable drop in standards since last time which is a shame. The price they paid for a deluxe room really wasn't good value as there was nothing deluxe about the room, other than the addition of two bath robes. They said the breakfast was good on each day.

Having previously stayed at this hotel and others in the chain we booked this for a seldom night away. Firstly, I cannot fault the staff, they were very polite and lovely however the standard of the room was so poor that unfortunately we would no longer return. Our room had not been cleaned on arrival, simple things such as the bathroom bin not being emptied, questionable marks on the bed and flooring and evident that the sink had not been cleaned with previous occupants left overs. Finally, the air conditioning was not working despite a number of attempts to rectify this, and the reception acknowledging this was a fault they were aware of. We made reception aware and it was not until approx 2100 we moved rooms as we had left the room as it was far too uncomfortable to sit in. We were moved to another room and was told this was an upgrade, this was not the case and this room was the standard room. Was fine for the night however many of the channels did not work. The whole evening was kinda ruined as we could not enjoy the room to relax, we had to pack the room up. I had completed a questionnaire stating about the stay and received an email which stated it was a standard room and I could upgrade however I feel the point is regardless of status of room we should all expect the same standard of cleaning and maintenance which fell short. We were unable to utilise the pool on the evening due to room situation so it was a short visit on the Sunday. Additionally I will add I did attempt to make staff aware if this again on the Saturday evening but the reception would appeared to be busy therefore no answer and was only one attendant on to a number of guests on the Sunday morning. Shame as staff are lovely and we have previously enjoyed our stays as a family and couple.

This has always been the go-to place to stay when visiting our daughter up in Aberdeen….not any more. We always stay in a standard room - it’s clean, affordable and a decent size. This time when we arrived we were given a room that was tiny, not the end of the world but not ideal. I returned to reception and asked if they had a bigger room. I was advised that the only way we could get a bigger room was to upgrade to a premium room at an additional cost of £15 a night. Not a huge amount I know so took them up on the offer. However, when getting into the so-called premium room I found it to be the normal standard room that we’ve had on every other visit. I feel that to move us they simply took the opportunity to charge us more. The hotel seemed to be very quiet and I think the lack of staff members maybe backed this up. What was previously a busy bar area was pretty much deserted with reception looking after that area. On the positives, rooms were clean and well maintained. Beds not too bad, not great either. Really nice shower. Disappointed in the general way the hotel seems to be going and quite annoyed that they can charge for upgrading when simply not the case. It’s tough for this type of business coming out of a pandemic, they really need to do more to get people back. It’s in a great location but the poor service will keep people away

Aberdeen airport is always a delight to fly through though this was my 1st stay at this property which is very convenient for the terminal. Just a couple of minutes via a mainly covered walk way that you access via turning left as you come out of the terminal leads directly to the hotel car park , shared with the HIEX which saves the hassle and need of taxis and shuttle buses. As an IHG Diamond elite member, I booked a rewards stay thoughMy pre arrival was a bit messy. I contacted the hotel in advance of my stay to ensure that they were providing the new inclusive welcome breakfast benefit to diamonds which most CP's and IC's have already started doing. I was told No, they were not providing this benefit until the required date stipulated by IHG, so I immediately cancelled the booking and then rebooked into the adjacent Holiday inn express, next door. I mean why wouldent I when I can obviously get an included breakfast, next door at the Holiday Inn??? A day before my arrival however, I was called by HIEX informing me I was give a diamond weekend upgrade to the adjacent CP with all HIEX benefits included. Thank you!!! would have just saved all the hassle for everyone however if CP management could have just responded by saying Thank you for being a valued diamond member of course you can enjoy free breakfast with us!!! At check in, my status was acknowledged and I was given the option of points, free drink or lounge access. I obviously accepted the lounge access. I had missed the evening drinks reception which i understand runs from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, which does seemsvery early. 6:00pm to 8:00pm is the norm in most hotels though to be fair i would have missed this anyway. It was not really a major issue for me, while its nice to relax with a glass of red in the evenings the importance of a lounge for me is a space where you can hangout and enjoy a decent cup of coffee and the lounge was very spacious and comfortable and certainly provided a nice coffee machine with a selection of very high quality soft drinks aswell as sweet and savoury snacks always being available. My room was on the 5th floor with a lovely view of the airfield. I assume it was a club room, yet I still had to request bathrobe and slippers which are a standard amenity even in entry level rooms at every CP around the world!!! Can management kindly address this please!. Room felt very small by usual CP standards but was very comfortable with all amenitys needed. I was however bathroom only had a walkin shower and no tub, again very unusual for an upscale CP. Air con unit was somewhat noisy and irritating even when switched off. Staff were helpful in trying to address this by offering room changes but problem seem to be prevelent in all rooms and no maintenance staff on site. Fortunately the noise disappeared by midnight but came back on about 6:00am, again this needs addressed. I did however get a good restful nights sleep. I eventually got to enjoy the lavish breakfast buffe
