Get off at Francesco Church Station. The hotel is 200 meters opposite. The first photo is after the bus gets off and the hotel is taken. The big house in the middle of the front is the hotel. In the first photo, the tall tower on the left is St. Francis Church (it takes less than 10 minutes to walk), and the second photo was taken on the hotel terrace, just walking to the center of the old city.

The structure and the centre, close to the Porcina is close to Assisi, clean rooms, not even saying, wonderful... Water and coffee, terrace tisane offered without “limits”... in the room a basket with other things you eat always offered by him. ... Dush towels that smell so much, all clean clean clean... I was hit so much that it's the only photo I leave ❤️❤️❤️ I advise who takes step here to find a room QUITE IS TOCKING THAT WITH HAND... compliments

|0.49km from city centerHotel located two steps from the door of Santa Chiara, you can walk and visit the beautiful Assisi. It has a comfortable parking (price not included) . At the upper floor there is a terrace and a living room available for everyone. The room was very nice and noisy, but if the windows were closed, the room was very noisy, and the shower was very spacious and clean enough. Breakfast: there is a little of everything, it's a pity that all drinks (including various types of coffee) are provided by the machines thousand “smack”. Good cakes made at home. nice staff and available. Recommended!

|0.27km from city centerLoved this hotel for the view and cleanliness. Our room had a balcony with a view of the amazing mountains which makes waking up with sun an amazing experience even from your bed. No AC but staff is very understanding and they offer a fan that you won’t need after sunset because the temperature goes down and you won’t need it. Few meters from the cathedral and very close to other stores we just walked to most restaurants. Breakfast was a buffet like most Italian restaurants. They have a great shuttle service.

Perugia
|0.3km from city centerFirst the positives......location. Now the negatives... Avoid Room 50 llike the plague. We had booked a superior double room and were pleasantly surprised to be allocated Room 50 with all it's grandeur, until that is one of us went to the shower. Only to find that the bathroom flooded to almost Biblical proportions !!! No amount of trying to mop up the water with spare towels worked. Response from the Front of House member of staff was to provide more towels, and an explanation of how a previous guest had accidentally broken one of the glass panes in the shower screen (which given it's appearance and condition had clearly been there for a good twenty years or more) which he claimed had been repaired, but that the problem persisted and that staff were aware of this.!!! His solution to the issue was to say ”I can't do anything now,we'll deal with it tomorrow” Our reply was that this situation was unacceptable and could we please be moved to another room. Reluctantly he agreed to our request and allocated us Room122. We had booked for three nights, for the remainder of our stay we had quite a frosty reception every time we encountered the said member of staff. On checking out and paying the bill with a credit card a most unusual thing happened. The Front of House staff member on duty that morning asked for payment of the City Tourist Tax in cash. In all our years of travelling in Europe and paying various city taxes we have never been asked for cash payment when using cards.Hmmm? La Rosetta did not live up to expectations, breakfast was average and the coffee from the machine was dreadful. Italian guests must be appalled with it. We wished we had stuck with our first initial choice and gone with La Fortuna around the corner.

Promosso a pieni voti.

|0.43km from city center110% - above and beyond/cannot recommend highly enough. Stefano speaks first class English and the team went out of the way and succeeded in ensuring I enjoyed my stay here. It has a wonderful clean good sized swimming pool. It was also wonderful to have a large ground floor room with outside seated area. The location is wonderful being between station and main town. There is also good parking right outside the property. Taxis available from train station before 6pm or alternatively easy 20 minute walk. I left on a Sunday so Stefano kindly ran me to the station complimentary as no taxis were available. Castiglione del Lago itself is a small but beautiful town with lakeside areas and you can even rent a boat. There are ferries to the nearby island Isola Maggiore which is wonderful with it's church, history and tourist shops. Great location also for quick and cheap train rides into the nearby town of Cortona and good location for trains to other hill-towns e.g. Orvieto. Breakfast was wonderful- cold meats and cheeses, yoghurts, pastries accompanied by coffee- I enjoyed their cappuccinos and you could even receive a top up for free. I hope that I will be fortunate enough to return one day. Stefano was extremely helpful from the beginning of the booking process to departure at the train station. Grazie mille Stefano and team. Tip: if you want the best rates book direct.

The mini-fridge is under the desk and was not stocked. The electrical outlets at the desk were not easy to access. The bathroom had a bathtub and a shower head. There was a bidet next to the toilet. There was a towel warmer but no face cloths. The liquid soap and shampoo were in large refillable dispenser. The free wi-fi was easy to connect and it was fast enough for my needs. The breakfast buffet was typical of Italy hotels.

|1.43km from city centerThere are very few reviews on Ctrip's foreign hotels. Although the speed of updating room availability is very slow, I often receive information after booking that the room is full, but the price seems to be the same.
The hotel is on the mountain, some distance from the attractions, but it's just a walk away. Compared with Rome, the room is very big and the price is cheap.
The rooms are all early, breakfast is quite simple, there is not much to eat.

Cascia
Migliorabile.

|0.68km from city centerWe stayed for a long weekend. We were excited to be in a 4 star hotel but was so disappointed because our balcony was very messy. The windows were awfully dirty! We had to ask the receptionist to clean up the balcony which we cannot even go out because the pull out bed was in the way. The cleanliness was a failure with molds on the bathroom tub. The breakfast buffet was good but with the a lot ofpeople theplates, food were running out! The signora in charge was good though!! Our room was small and we asked the receptionist to remove the yellow big arm chair which was occupying so much space, it was not removed. We asked for extra pillows and right away they provided!! So i give you 3 stars!!

|2.2km from city centerWe went to this Agriturismo last summer for the seventh time, it feels like coming home, the domain is maintained to the point and is a oasis of rest. The large pool is a cool day, the restaurant is a good restaurant for you to enjoy the Umbrian cuisine. The rooms are authentic, so great luxury as in a hotel you cannot expect. This would lose the setting of the old hove of charm. Our room is equipped with air-conditioning, shower, modern toilet and washing box a lovely bed. All you need. The central location makes it excellent for visiting the historical cities of the ancient Etruscans, natural visits and even a little riding to the lakes and the sea. I enjoy the rest of my holidays every time.

|0.78km from city centerWe were at Hotel Moderno from May 29 to 1^giugno: 4 couples of friends no longer very young. The staff is very professional, but at the same time friendly and friendly, always ready to meet any demand, including the problems of food intolerance. We chose the bedroom most early breakfast: the first night we decided to stop at dinner and we were so good that we stayed the next two evenings. Abundant meals, typical dishes, genuine kitchen: everything is okay. The rooms are also comfortable and clean. Certainly recommended, even for the proximity to the church of Porcinella and for the possibility, with comfortable public means, to reach all the French places.

Assisi
|0.18km from city centerAs every year, we spent the holidays in Assisi even during Christmas 2021. For several reasons we decided to try a new hotel and chose just the San Rufino, the girl's nice welcome, whom I unfortunately don't remember the name, who checked in and given the first indications. The simple room, we took a couple, but complete of every comfort and especially clean! I look under the bed because I am a powder allergic subject and this ”detail” I think it is important. Abundant and varied breakfast. The location is his winner card, especially for us was a nice choice as This time we decided not to take the car but to get in the air to Perugia and then take the bus to Assisi. The stop is very close but at the same time the hotel is also two steps, just two counts, From the beautiful duomo of San Rufino and then from the rest of the city through the typical viuces. If you have no luxury but essential requirements such as cleaning, welcome, location, the tranquility because near the center but far from the noise - admitted that there are no noises in Assisi - I think it is very recommended the hotel San Rufino. Excellent quality/price ratio.

Perugia
|0.3km from city centerThe bad room is very bad: hands-on, forced to be folded to not beat your head (also in the bathroom); old furniture, decent cleaning, small windows.
Despite this, the hotel hides very beautiful and ancient parts (a wonderful reading room at the third floor, breakfast room, a common balcony with table and chairs, the outer face covered with hera) but as the name suggests, it needs much Fortune I am about the room.
Good breakfast, not very good (including that it was paid separately).
A friendly and very available staff, this is.
Eventually beds or cuffs for small children for payment.
Possibility to leave baggage after check-out.
The location is certainly exceptional, almost in the centre, but it is also to be borne in mind that being close to the rooms and restaurants there will be a lot of noise at night and night.
Attention to reach the hotel in car, because to get out the area you pass through very narrow streets.
In the end, it was very comfortable to walk, but it was quite too expensive for the old and decrepit room they have turned us back (and they don't show any photos on the internet).

|0.62km from city centerWeekend of November, first time in Spoleto and stay in this place loaded by history, nature and charm! The hotel is simply wonderful, the view from the large windows is stunning at any time of the day, but the atmosphere of the hotel completes the framework. The hotel is located in the city's most suggestive location, and is very friendly and comfortable. Breakfast is served by two floors down to the reception, each corner of the hotel is well-treated and the breakfast room is set on a garden from which you can continue to admire the landscape. Breakfast is normal, not excellent, but it offers everything, sweet and salty, certainly you don't get up with hunger. It is a wonderful weekend in Spoleto, but certainly the added value is given by the Gattapone hotel!

Assisi
|0.43km from city centerThe Hotel Umbra is an excellent choice for visiting Assisi and exploring the surrounding area. My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights in mid-June, ‘23, and enjoyed it very much, The hotel is in a great location just off the Piazza Del Commune and in the center of the historic section of town. There is no long term parking nearby, so it is a bit of a challenge if you have a car to drop or pick up your luggage. The hotel sent directions that involved parking briefly in front of the Tourist Information Office located on one edge of the square, then proceeding through the narrow streets to a parking area (note, you can drive to the edges of the square but not through it). However, we wound up parking in the Matteotti Parking Garage then walking to the hotel for better driving directions. We then parked temporarily on the other side of the square in the Taxi Stand area, dropping one person and the luggage, then driving an easy route back to Matteotti. We reversed this when we departed. Rolling your luggage is slightly farther but still a reasonable distance. This may sound daunting, but it is worth the trouble. The hotel is a friendly and welcoming place with a lovely garden terrace at the entrance (a restaurant in pre-Covid days), a small cozy lobby, and a large breakfast room off to one side. The family owners were the front desk staff and were very helpful in providing directions, suggestions, and recommendations. Our room (#32) was on the 2nd (U.S.) floor, easily reached by an elevator. It was very large and had a nice rooftop view of part of town and the valley beyond. There was a sofa, a low and firm king bed, two night stands, desk, dresser with lots of storage space, an armoire, and a small refrigerator. About the only downside of the room was the scarcity of outlets, a legacy of the age of the building most likely. Wifi was strong and fast. The attractive bathroom was reached by a couple of steps. It wasn’t large but adequate, with a small shower and bidet. There was only a small amount of storage on the vanity. Breakfast was pretty good – some fresh fruit, fruit juice, single cup coffee machine, yogurt, scrambled eggs (a bit salty for our tastes), and an array of baked goods. Note that Rick Steves recommends the hotel and his tour groups use it. If you mention his name you may get a 10% discount. We also recommend it and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. It is a convenient, comfortable, and welcoming choice for visiting Assisi.

|39.88km from city centerAbbiamo trascorso un weekend lungo in famiglia.

Perugia
|2.23km from city centerOur stay left such a positive impression on me that I don't even know where to start. The Castello di Monterone is a historical property that's been converted into a hotel with 18 rooms. It's located on the outskirts of Perugia, about a 10-15 easy drive by car and it makes a great home base for exploring other Umbrian towns. HOTEL & GROUNDS: Walking up to reception was something out of a fairytale. The property is just absolutely stunning. Immaculately maintained with breathtaking views of the valley and Perugia in the distance. The hotel is an activity of exploration in itself with a number of common rooms which are open for use (sitting room with fireplace, library with books going back to the 1800s, wine room) and various medieval details to explore. A panoramic terrace is accessible on the 3rd floor. The outdoor grounds include a pool, two hot tubs, sauna, rose garden, sculpture garden, and courtyard. The pool isn't huge, but we never found it to be super busy and we were able to use the hot tubs with no issue. DINING: There's a restaurant onsite which is convenient. We had dinner on the outdoor terrace one evening (bring bug spray for mosquitos if you dine late). Food and service were excellent. Wonderful view. Breakfast was included in our stay as well and it was a good selection of items (meats, cheeses, sandwiches, eggs, bacon, juices, fruit, cereals, breads and pastries). ROOM: I wasn't sure what to expect staying in a room on a property as old as this, but found that our room was clean and comfortable by modern standards, yet maintained the character of a medieval castle. Obviously the rooms aren't huge (the building has been around since the 11th century). We had to be strategic about how we stored our bags, but otherwise we didn't spend much time in the room so it didn't bother us. Each room has a name and we were in the Opretoia which is a superior category room. This one is located on the main level of the hotel, but has the benefit of a door that leads to a lovely private outdoor terrace. It felt more private than some of the other rooms on the higher levels. Although it is across from the elevator so we could hear people coming and going, but it was fine. The bathroom is a good size, but the shower was a bit small with no edging and it was a task to try and keep water from spreading over the floor. I think this room may be an accessible room though so that could be why. There's also limited counter space, but it was manageable. SERVICE: Service is top notch. Friendly, welcoming staff who go out of their way to make you feel at home. One day we met Al who I believe is part of the grounds crew. He gave us a briefing on the history of the property and its transformation to a hotel which was fascinating. OVERALL VIBE: Peaceful and serene. Floral scents permeate the air. The valley is quiet and the chorus of birds that you can hear in the morning is wonderful. I'm so glad we chose to stay here instead of right in Peru
