I stayed here on a whim while passing through MOSCOW. This hotel is on a prominent corner in downtown and is well-located to access the U of I. The hotel has been here since the 50’s and over the past few years has been updated to mid-century modern in a REALLY excellent way. I only saw my room (#12 which was a suite made up of two original rooms with the wall removed) and the lobby...but I think they nailed it. The furniture is authentic, the bed and linens were high quality AND there were real photographs for decor. This is an independent owner/operator who is making another special place for visitors to savor and enjoy. My room also had a great looking couch that was a pullout, but I didn’t sleep test it, along with a second full bath (each room originally had one each) so this would be cool for groups or families traveling to Moscow for graduation or other big events when rooms are scarce and everyone wants to look good. There are many dining options within strolling distance. It’s a two-story configuration with stairs only- no elevator. Can’t wait to stay here again!

In a hardships of my life during a crisis. I found hope from the amazing front desk and housekeeping staff here at the moscow Super 8. They welcomed me s though I was family from the begining of the phone call to them and continued to when I arrived in person.Due to me loosing my house and all of my personal items in a house fire. Treeva, Darlene, Brooke, Gary, Nickie, and Michael have been a huge positive vibe I needed at this point in my life. They are all super amazing and all so very welcoming and joyful from the moment you walk into the Lobby.

Wonderful staff and the Presidental suite was perfect for a family birthday party. Access to courtyard and swimming pool. Birthday boy was very surprised. It was perfect. It felt more like a resort than a hotel. Going out the sliding doors to the courtyard and patio tables it felt more like we were at home. Well worth the expense.

Wife and I stayed here one night (2/22/20) to visit our son who is going to college in the area. We booked this hotel because it offered two amenities we like at a reasonable price. We liked the fact that they offered a complimentary hot breakfast and they have a pool and hot tub. Our room (standard double queen) was very nice, clean with nice appointments. We were more than comfortable in the room. After we went to dinner we decided to try the pool and hot tub. The pool water was the coldest pool water I've ever experienced and I put myself through college working as a lifeguard and swim instructor. Five minutes in the pool and my teeth were chattering so bad my wife couldn't understand what I was saying. Might be because she was laughing at me though. Anyway, we tried the hot tub to find out that it's temperature was Goldilocks water, not hot, but not cold. It was about the temperature you bathe small children in. Needless to say, the aquatic experience left a lot to be desired. Fast forward to the next morning after a restful night's sleep we went to breakfast. We were pleasantly surprised to find that they use real plates and real silverware. They offer the ubiquitous waffle makers, though they offer two types of waffle mix (regular and cinnamon). They had scrambled eggs (yeah they were instant, but it was free and these weren't swimming in water so that was a plus), link sausage, biscuits and gravy. They also had yogurt (about 4 little cups equals a normal cup at the store), and cereal in three different flavors. They topped it off with two juice options and coffee. Everything considered, the stay was pleasant and restful, but they should warn patrons that professional athletes take warmer ice baths than they'll get with a dip in the pool.

The hotel is in a good location. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to Pioneer Court Square or the river. Taco bell and subway fast food restaurants are nearby. The hotel does not include breakfast, but the big supermarket less than 5 minutes walk can completely solve the problem. The hotel has free parking and the front desk staff are polite. Just because I was not diligent enough in sanitation, I stayed in a hotel for three days, but one day I didn't hear anything.

Facilities/Amenities were nice! Room was super spacious and comfortable. Temperature was warm even with thermostat down to 69 degrees but it also may have been because the blankets are suuuper warm, made it a little hard to fall asleep. Service was solid, the receptionists were nice/friendly. I got a tiny tiny cut from the sink’s pull knob(?) by pulling it too hard/carelessly, so just be careful/slow when using it, the sides are kinda sharp. There was a little bit of trash and a left behind mascara under the bed on the side that wasn’t ours. Price for the room was super affordable, it was a really good deal and I’d be down to stay again for sure!!

The front desk service was very enthusiastic. At first, credit cards in China and Canada could not be swiped, but it was processed quickly. The hotel location is also very convenient, walking distance to 7-11 convenience stores, and McDonald's, a little further away, there is Safeway supermarket, and it is also very close to the city center across a bridge, the accommodation experience is still very good, recommended!

The location of the hotel is quiet and safe, but it is recommended that friends who travel by car choose to drive a short drive away from the city. Parking is very convenient. The decoration is modern and clean, which is very suitable for couples and families traveling by car.

After 5 years in Portland, I returned to the old land and chose this hotel. The interior decoration is very Portland-style, and shopping is not far from the city center, which is very convenient

I booked two room for my family. There weren’t two rooms adjacent or even on the same floor. So they asked if I wanted to upgrade $25/ night to a corner room so that i can be near my family. I think they should’ve waived the $25 because it wasn’t my request for he corner room, it was only to be near my family on same floor. The engineer had to be called into my room because the movie order tv service isn’t working. Has to be fixed tomorrow.

Customer service was solid, they had to go breakfast which was a nice bonus(rotating hot food item, yogurt, drink, pastry, fruit), there’s also complimentary coffee/tea available in the lobby. Our room was pretty comfortable. Our second time staying here and I really liked it both times. Room AC worked well, WiFi was good. I’d recommend!

The location of the hotel is superb, just next to the MAX light rail station. After the airport is out, you can take the MAX directly (but please note that the Convention Center station is closed at the end of May, 2019.2.20, and you may have to get off at the previous stop). It is also very convenient to the city. The stadium of the NBA game is nearby (the distance of one stop). If you want to eat, you can choose from the distance you can walk. If you want to shop nearby, you can visit the Lloyd Center Mall (about ten minutes walk). The room allocated was quite large. There was a coffee machine, a microwave oven, and a small bar in the room. The only thing was a bit noisy for the light rail station, but it didn't affect me without sleep disorders.

Hotel location is good, but the front desk staff is better, warmer, friendly, the room is much better than expected, the booking does not know it is studio, go in and see, the room is large, functional partition, all equipment for cooking, Although we can't use it. In short, very satisfied.

Can’t brag about the Hoxton enough! We had a lovely stay in Portland thanks to this hotel. The girls working the front desk, August and Joy, went particularly out of their way to accommodate us. They upgraded us rooms and helped us work out some missed travel info. They also wrote us three separate lists of their favorite restaurants for each meal of the day. We went to several of these places and were not disappointed. Our favorite part of our stay was their lounge area in the lobby. It’s a massive space with tons of vintage couches, tables and chairs. They have a coffee shop down there as well. It was perfect for our morning devotional time reading our bible and there was plenty of space between us and other guests. Sadly we missed out on their rooftop bar, but it sounds like they are opening that soon. Can’t go wrong staying here!
