Stayed here in December 2020 with kids Pros: - We selected the zoo facing room which the kids absolutely loved. The giraffe, wildebeest, zebra, deer are all literally on your doorstep and its wonderful watching them go about their business, kids love it and couldn't get over it. - The zoo entry is free for those staying in the resort and has good selection of animals, you can feed the animals (giraffe, hippo) good bird show, sea lion presentation, horse ride, making it very engaging for kids. - The breakfast options were good, full english available and though buffet isn't available (covid-19), they were more than happy to pack-in extra hash browns, muffins, coffee, etc. - There is a kids pool available on-site (hidden away though) which explains why we were the only ones using it. Cons: - The rooms are dated, the sofas are stained, showers dont have power showers and the floor tiling can make you dizzy. They only offered bath towels , extra pillows, duvets for the single bed after asking reception. No bathmats available either, how strange! - The room hygiene is very poor, despite cleaning staff there who do the superficial bits, the entire place needs a deep clean, perhaps paint and decorate to make it more habitable. - Some kids got excited and started tearing down leaves to feed the giraffe which few parents objected. The next day a security personnel was on patrol to ensure no one repeats the offence. It would help if the resort offered spare giraffe food or even paid (10 aed in the zoo) for those staying in the resort, problem solved and everyone has a nice time. - Definitely don't select the non-zoo facing rooms, though they come with a free time machine. Overall, the mute animals were more hospitable and welcoming than the staff who had an option to speak but chose to remain gloomy and depressed throughout!
