I stayed here for whole 3 weeks and it was great stay. Its very near, oddly 200 m, to Larissa station on red metro line. The good things go first. - Friendly staff. - Good house keeping. - Delicious breakfast. - Nice amenities But for long stay, I felt the room was bit clumsy and even the shower cabin is too small. Me being vegetarian, always carry some ready to eat instant foods which needs heating in microwave. But unfortunately they did not have microwave in their kitchen at least.I got to use the electric kettle available at the dining area. If they offer electric kettle for using in the rooms(at least I need one for making my morning/evening tea/soup) and provide a microwave for the guest's use in dining area would be great. The stay was decent and comfortable. Laundry service is not available and will be nice if that is made available.

So basically I chose this hotel as I was only planning on spending the evenings/nights here, shower etc. Good features include the cafe on the roof, the housekeeping, the fact the metro is only 5 minutes away and is quite central to all the main sights (never more than a 45 minute walk to and from). Staff were also lovely. Downside include quite hard mattress, tape around hairdryer (unsafe), bulb missing from one of the bathroom lights (that was linked to another above the mirror, also unsafe). Another upside is one nightshift staff called Chris was the friendliest human, when I struggled sleeping he made me feel welcome, happy and spoke to me for hours until I felt I could sleep and also seeing to fellow customers! He’s an awesome guy.

do not let the area put you off... the hotel is stunning and staff are amazing. My daughter hurt her leg on the very first leg and they could not do enough including regular visits to the room with bags of ice. We were more than safe in the area and turned right outside and up the hill past the 'locals' with no issues and popped into the large Afghan café at the top for some great food. The same with the kebab shop just to the right of the metro station; cracking food. Once you get used to the metro and get a ticket that lasts for a few days, you are sorted. Nothing to do with hotel but just be careful of pickpockets, they tried it twice on me, going up escalator and on metro but daughter sorted them out..... otherwise enjoy it is a great city with great museums and love bars and cafes hidden away in the side streets so do not be afraid to venture out. Took a trip out to Thermopylae and next time with hit Sparta (we are all history geeks sorry). Enjoy here folks it is well worth it

I stayed here for 2 nights in March 2019 as a way of breaking up a trip between Australia and Sweden, and a way to see a new city. This hotel is well connected to public transport, with both the overground trains (Athina station) and the underground metro network (Larissa station) being within 300 metres of the hotel. I was placed on the 4th floor, and quite crucially, this hotel did have a lift available to use, something that doesn’t always happen in European hotels of this style. My room, whilst a touch on the small side, did have enough room to easily move around and place my bag flat on the floor. There was a smoking balcony attached to my room, as per a lot of Athenian/Roman style hotels from the second half of the 20th century. Using my balcony, I had a view of the Athina train station, the main road, and a basketball court across the road. Further, I did think that it was a nice touch to have a poster in the room, which had a number of basic Greek phrases and their translations into English, I did think that this was helpful. The staff I encountered whilst checking in were amicable and the process was completed relatively quickly. A complimentary breakfast was offered to all hotel guests. This breakfast was representative of a continental European breakfast, and as such was quite disappointing. The breakfast consisted of some cheese, corn flakes and a small selection of tea, coffee, juice and water. For what it was, the hotel achieved its aim – it was well connected to public transport (including to Eleftherios Veneizelos Athens Airport) and the bed was reasonable. As such, for a relatively cheap price I would consider staying here should I desire to stay in Athens again.

The hotel was clean and beautifully designed. Close to the train station which was convenient to travellers like us. Shower was good. However, some of the floor laminates/furnishings were old and peeling, and the room was a little small. It was a little noisy at night because it was too close to the road and train station. In addition, I’m not sure if they changed the bed sheets because I saw some hairs of previous guests on it. Staff was friendly though and cheap/good for value overall.

Omonia
Extremely noisy place. 3 lane street downhill, dont take a room facing the main street. Asked for a silent rooms when booking but got the worst, had to spend one night without sleep, as they could not change first night, despite our request when booked. Room at the back are dark with milky windows. Chabby, no ventilation etc, they use perfumes to fix the air. Bad beds, worn out here and there. Had to ask for changing one. Breakfast poor quality, old eggs, Juices were syrups really, etc. The square outside is a sleeping area for homeless and chabby blocks behind the hotel. A bit far from main attractions as well. Reception helpful to say something positive..... We paid 110:-/night, (Oct 2019) ~50:- would be more appropriate. Got over charged by 110:- as well, had to deal with that also. Look for another hotel! "3 Swedes"

Koukaki
Good, well-maintained hotel near Acropolis, Parthenon, Placa. All major tourist attractions are well within walking distance. We took a family room meant for four persons. It's tastefully decorated providing all required amenities. The balcony attached to the room, overlooking the busy street below, is an added advantage. We spent a lot of time there. A good breakfast was provided. We especially liked the high quality of their boiled egg. Staff members were always helpful. Will definitely stay there again.

Metaxourgeio
I stayed at Crystal City for 11 nights. The room was a good size for me, although the bathroom was a little small, and could maybe benefit from a shelf or two. There is a fridge provided in the room, a kettle for making coffee & tea, and a safe. I found the heating system a little quirky, but ok once I figured out how to use it. Being at the back, my room was pretty quiet, although the view wasn't brilliant as it backed onto other hotels. The free breakfast provided was more than adequate, with a large choice of food- pretty much any option, including eggs, sausages, cerial, bread, cheeses & cold meats, you name it. The coffee from the machine could be better though! The hotel is minutes from the metro (Metaxourgeio station on the red line), and close to bus & trolley lines. It's located just off Karaiskaki Square, which is within walking distance of Omonoia, Syntagma & the Plaka area, the Acropoli & the museums. The free WiFi was great throughout, and the TV in the room was fine. The staff were generally friendly & helpful. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Psiri / Monastiraki
This is the Monastiraki Plaza Hotel. There are actually two 360-degree hotels. The hotel is about 100 meters away from the street next door. There is also a 360-degree hotel. The front desk and hotel are much better than this one. I have seen it on the spot. Later, I found that the hotel used a photo of another hotel. The entrance of this hotel is very small. It is not easy to find. I missed it twice to find the door. I went to another 360-degree hotel and asked if they were a family, but obviously another. The family is much better than this one, and I don’t know how to book it. This is the feeling that the front desk is very small and a little small hotel. The breakfast should go around the roof and go down to the restaurant to eat. There is only one cup of orange juice per person. Going out is the hotel, there is also a grilled corn, 2 euros, tastes good, walking to the Acropolis, but the Acropolis is on the top of the mountain, climbing up requires physical strength, if you live in another 360-degree hotel, you can watch the balcony The panoramic view of the city, the airport to the hotel 10 euros direct subway, especially convenient, the Constitution Square can walk in the past, the subway will be one or two stations, there are many restaurants nearby, it is said that there is a red light district, The square is particularly lively, that is, the little girl who sells roses, tells you that it is free, but I really don’t dare to accept it. The law and order is not good, there are many black people. In fact, the opposite A for Athens (A Athens) hotel is also good. It should be better than 360 degrees, the price is almost the same, try A for Athens next time.

I spent two nights at Athens Sofitel, while having a Coronavirus test at the airport, and waiting for the result, before flying. The convenience of the hotel is superb and I was given a free upgrade, without asking, which was a lovely touch. Due to Covid, the services are limited. Breakfast is served in your room, on a tray. The breakfast was overpriced and not very good. The first day was a cold bowl of scrambled eggs, together with ham, cheese, bread rolls and croissant + orange juice and nice coffee. The second day I opted for the fruit and yogurt breakfast which was nicer, but vastly overpriced (pear; cornflakes; yogurt + breadroll, croissants, orange juice, coffee). In no way does this compare with a buffet breakfast. The tray was not collected, nor was my room serviced. The wifi was patchy and kept cutting out. The hot water in the shower turned cold and hot while showering. The hotel room looked beautiful, but I expected a higher level of service and facilities. If these could not be provided due to Covid, then I think this should be made clearer and a discount provided.

we were actually upgraded to this hotel but were actually booked with hotel Delphi Art..the latter had some issues with electricity supply to the room and since the booking was pre-paid we were automatically upgraded on arrival to Athens and the icing on the cake..they booked and paid for the cab for our transfer to the hotel.. the room was great and cosy, the bathroom was however, pretty small for the size of the room and obstructed free movement with opening and closing of the door. we were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary red wine and snacks in the room, they also had provision for tea and coffee and a bottle of water... the complementary breakfast (another great offer made by Delphi Art as part of the upgradation) had an amazing and veritable menu..pretty sumptous the elevator was however very small, mentioned for two people but I doubt so. the neighbourhood is not the very best and it gets a little worrisome at night, especially if you are a female solo traveller...the location is very close to Omonia square metro station, just take the Ag Constantinou exit and couple of blocks...although we never had any issue but doesn't feel very safe at night. The staff was very helpful and helped us with recommendations..especially with the proper delivery of our delayed check-in baggage which arrived a day later from Abu Dhabi
