This was my second visit to this hotel, we visited last year for one week and had such a great time decided to return this year for a two week break and I don't regret any minute of it. While all the staff were fantastic and a few do deserve a special mention I do want to start my review with a thank you to one particular member of the waiting staff in the Yacht Restaurant, Pantellis, he served us everyday for Breakfast and Dinner and without fail he always made time to come over and chat to us despite being exceptionally busy with other diners. He made us both feel very welcome and always made us both smile, so much so that we actually chose to dine in this restaurant over the others just to chat to our new friend. Thank you Pantellis and I look forward to seeing you when we come back. The room - We stayed in room 3121, a junior suite with pool and sea view. The room was lovely and although if you went out your way to find issues you would no doubt come across some I do feel these would really be nit picking. Room 3121 did have an AC vent in the private pool area which was a little louder than I would have liked but didn't really cause us any problems. The private pool was clean but the water was cold, I did expected this but agree with many other reviews that it would be nice if these private pools were heated. The room entrance way / wardrobe area was a little dark and could have done with a little bit more lighting but again that is finding fault when really there wasn't one. The rooms was clean and on arrival there was a bottle of wine, some fruit, bottles of water and a bottle of wine. The cleaning staff were all very friendly and did a great job each day. They really deserve a load of credit. They stocked up the room with 2/3 bottles of water each day, made the bed, cleaned the room and left a towel origami animal on the bed each day. The latter was a nice touch, we kept them in our room until we left building up our own little towel animal farm in the corner of the room. I agree with many other reviews that the mini bar didn't have a great selection, there was no wine in there and the beer wasn't the best. It also was only filled every three days. So an improvement would be to fill this more often with more options. It would also have been nice if the room got restocked with fruit and other snacks on a regular basis but this only happened on the first night. We spend a few evenings chilling in our room after dinner to get some R&R, there was a TV but there was very a very limited selection of English channels. I know the executive and superior suits both include satellite TV but the junior suits unfortunately do not. It would be a nice addition to add satellite TV to all rooms. In addition to above it would be nice if the hotel offered some hireable films/ tv programs that you can opt to watch on those nights where you do just want to stay in the room. The only fault I really had with the room was the beds. W

Had a lovely time at this hotel. We stayed in a bungalow and were very happy. The only downside for us was we were on the ground floor so had no privacy on the patio. The room was kept clean as were the grounds and pool area. The restaurant stipulates men wear long trousers which is absolutely fine. However they didn’t stop guests entering the restaurant in shorts. My Husband hates wearing long trousers on holiday but adhered to the request for the first few nights. However there were men wearing swim shorts, ripped denim shorts with football shirts - so my Husband wore his ‘dress’ shorts for the remainder of the week. The food in the restaurant was lovely - plenty of choice and of a very high standard. Sometimes restaurants in all inclusive hotels can be a bit cafeteria ish, but this restaurant was really nice. The A La Carte restaurant was fab - the food and service was amazing. The bar staff in the main bar worked their socks off - always ready to take your order an drinks were brought to your table quickly. We did get the overall feeling that the hotel was waiting to close - everyone seemed to be on wind down - but we were at the end of season so I guess that should be expected. All in all I would recommend this hotel.

Stayed in 2 apartments for 2 weeks with Dad, Uncle and three kids 14, 12 and 9. We were given a key for the connecting door which was a huge help. Spotless rooms that are very well equipped and really comfortable beds. The pool area is brilliant, extremely clean. The kids spent hours in there.... plenty of sun loungers and the bar is great with lots of choice. All of the property is very well maintained. Pedros and the other younger man work so hard and are very helpful. FOOD. All the meals we had were lovely, breakfast, pool bar meals and the restaurant, the Gyros plate amazing.... Must try the Stifado. The best ever.....kids really loved it. The night we arrived.... (almost midnight) they cooked us pizza which was perfect as we were all hungry.. we really appreciated it... LOCATION. It would be much easier to hire a car or bike. We chose to walk into Kos Town 30-40 minutes and use taxis on a night as the roads are not that great for the kids to walk back up hill to Sandys (Dark and cars, bikes everywhere) €7 from dolphin in Kos Town.... €6 air conditioning per night... works well. All in all we had a great time. TIP... if you buy the kids inflatables that need blowing up they’re more than happy to do it. No need to cram into a taxi 😂 Please eat at Sandys. Delicious.

I must admit I've been very lucky to have been lots of lovely places, my mum & Dad have a 2.2 million villa in Cyprus..... But I stayed here for 7 days & im going back next year for 3 weeks! There is nothing bad at all I can say about Angelos studios, it was a pleasure to have meet such a warm & wonderful family! It was so clean all through & set in a beautiful surroundings.. I've never been on such bouncy grass that is so very well looked after.. Your not far from anywhere I.E the beach wondful family run restaurant 's & not a 5 minute bus drive that takes you into the main town, or you could walk it in 10 to 20 minute 's. Every restaurants I went into even the places close to us was amazing & such good value for money. One last thing I have to say is that the owner Poppy of Angelos Sudio's is one of the strongest, welcoming & one of the loveliest lady I've ever meet ❤️ See you next year❤️

My partner and I stayed at the Peridis Family Resort from 30th August until 6th September. On arrival we were instantly upgraded to a superior suite which was beautiful with two balconies and a large four poster bed - the only thing I would add to the room would be a full length mirror, however there was a smaller one above the dressing table which was ok. The pool area was really great, surrounded by padded sunloungers and parasols with plenty room to sunbathe (at the time we visited there were less people staying at the hotelthan usual due to COVID regulations so we pretty much had pick of the seats). The main pool is very deep and I could only just stand up at the far end (I’m 5’7). There is a second pool which isn’t as deep and would be better for children or those who aren’t strong swimmers. The staff on the whole were faultless - thank you to the lovely bar men and breakfast staff, the ladies on reception and Petra who offered amazing spa treatments for a very reasonable price. I had a full body massage and would thoroughly recommend. Breakfast was sometimes a little slow as the staff were serving people at the buffet one by one rather than being able to help yourself, but this can’t be helped in current circumstances and any delays were only ever due to greedy people with eyes bigger than their bellies and plates piled far too high. The ladies did a great job to ensure social distancing measures were met. The reason that I would rate the hotel as ‘good’ rather than ‘excellent’ is due to a negative experience we had with Albert from the entertainment team. One night when we were in the bar he told us about ‘Mr Peridis’ competition he was hosting the following night and tried to encourage my partner to join. We had planned to go out for the evening as we did every night, but because he was quite pushy I told him that if we were there we would join, but we were almost certainly going out. This was a big mistake. He took as red that we would be joining and came to sign us up the following morning at breakfast. I told him again that we were going out for supper and drinks and his response was that we should go out earlier and come back. I repeated that we would be going out and would not be around. When we arrived back at the hotel after midnight, Albert was having a drink with another couple staying at the hotel and decided to come over to our table and hand my partner a certificate for the competition. He then told us that 9 people had signed up for the competition and that only 2 had shown up to take part. He continued to tell us how much work goes into preparing for these events and basically insinuated that he’d wasted his time. I got the impression that he was trying to make us feel guilty despite the fact I had made it clear we wouldn’t be around. He finished by saying ‘hey, it’s your holiday so do what you want’ in a manner which I felt was quite abrasive. Over the next three days my partner and I said ‘hello’ to Albert wheneve

We stayed here for a week and felt very much at home. The room was adequate, with a nice balcony and view of the sunset each evening. Kettle but no tea or coffee, which was a shame. The room was cleaned everyday which was fantastic. The bathroom was fine. The shower tended to flood as the drains were blocked, the shower curtain was also just annoying. Breakfast was fine. Very basic and little variety but it set one up for the day and was good value when considered. All the staff are very friendly and the hotel is situated in a great location just slightly out of the centre but within a few minutes walk of it.

Slightly concerned about a mid October holiday but there were blue skies every day. The free airport transfer was very efficient (40 Euros plus if you are making your own arrangements.) The hotel is a 15 to 20 mins walk to the centre of Kos Town (Nice walk to the daily newspapers flown in at 2.00pm). Magnificent views from the two balconies across the sea to Turkey and the interesting comings and goings at the Marina also seen from the rooms. Though the room was on the main road side we could hear no traffic noise at night. Beds were comfortable and very clean with sheets being changed regularly along with daily bathroom towels. Balcony had a small table and a couple of plastic armchairs. The flat was spacious in both bedroom and living room with a couple of extra sofa beds in the living room. Small dining table. Furniture was 60s utilitarian style but clean and in good condition. In kitchen end, fridge was fine but cooking facilities at a minimum. Two -in tandem- electric hobs, a microwave, and no oven. But three excellent tavernas close by towards Kos (third one an Aussie/Greek - great ambience. Bathroom appears to have been retiled and furbished. Hit and miss hairdryer. Good shaving mirror. Good over the bath shower - big stepdown - bags of very hot water. Toilet flush amusing though efficient. We had a slight leak from the toilet fresh water pipe. Two visits from plumbers plastering cement over the nut did not resolve the problem. Wifi was good with the occasional reconnection. Television a bit of a let down A CNN station in the lounge but no English channels in the room. but the Greeks are into English films with Greek sub titles so saw a couple of good ones. All the staff are quite lovely Room cleaners, Reception staff, and Bar Staff - all can't do enough for you. Excellent snacks brought out for you round the pool. Beautiful and spotless very large swimming pool. Sun beds and umbrellas round. Whether because of fewer numbers or season lateness, those booking bed and breakfast or evening meals were required to walk 10 mins to a sister hotel. So was happy we had not booked that way. All in all a great holiday. Thank you !!

We chose for the hotel to collect us from the airport and we were glad we did, as our flight had been delayed by an hour and a half and it was almost midnight when we landed. Hotel was in a quiet part of town, but close enough to walk to the main area's. Our room was comfortable and breakfast was included. There was no choice of breakfast, but what they provided was adequate for our needs and better than expected.

This place is amazing! There's a pool behind the building accessible from 9am to 8pm, the staff is super friendly! Giorgio, the owner, was always very ready and willing to give us extra advice about places, bus routes and trips around the islands. Also Auntie was super nice. The apartments are very well furnished, with electric cookers, all the necessary to cook from the first day (one pot, one frypan, various spoons, etc). Towels and bedwear are changed every day. Bike rental is literally two places to the right, the mini market is at two minutes walk and the super market at five minutes walk. The city center is about 10 minutes walk from Esperides. I would absolutely advice you to choose Esperides for your trip to Kos, do it now!

Was staying in this hotel because I was in town for business and oh my god I would’ve rather paying myself for a different hotel just to not stay here. The hotel is outdated and therefore does not look good, and just smells bad. But that was not the problem at all, The problem is that the staff was just rude (there were a few who were nice but all of the other were not helpful at all and there was one front desk lady who was just the worst.) Here are a few stories; •First when we arrived at the evening (9 ish) to check in we asked a breakfast to go for the day after because we were not able to attend the breakfast, the lady told us we can’t ask for that now and that we needed to call them until noon before we got there (while flying) because now there will be no one in the kitchen. (Wait does that means that they make the sandwich the morning before and just leave it there untill you take it the next day??) •at another time we did ask them the morning before but eventually my friend made it to breakfast on time so she didnt eat the take away (2pieces of bread with 1slice of ham, 1slice of cheese and 1slice of tomato, and an apple) and when she wanted to enter the breakfast she was told that it’s her problem that we asked a T/A and that they dont care she doesn’t eat cheese with ham and therefore didnt eat the sandwich and that we needed to tell them that in advance (I never got a sandwich as breakfast and I travel a lot for work. It’s usually ingredients and you can eat whatever you like) They just told her to leave and if she want breakfast she will need to pay for it again. •we wanted to go for a picnic and forgot to buy salt so we thought it will be okay to just ask a little bit of salt in a plastic cup. When saying this to the front desk lady she literally rolled her eyes, laughed at us mockingly and just called the kitchen and said something in greek. And then no eye contact, no OK, nothing. Just set back down and looked away so we went to the kitchen ourselves. •we were ordered a single room with double bad, so I asked to add one person to my room, (something that again I do a lot and usually they dont even charge extra, or just charge a few euros for breakfast if we want.) The lady told us it will be 25€ a night (the difference between a single room and a double with breakfast while booking is 8€ which is what we thought that we will need to add) We were told that without breakfast it will be 20€ (extra breakfast costs 10€ so why is the “discount” just 5?) ((FYI for this price and maybe a little extra you can [and should] take a new different room in a much nicer hotel)) •the pool is tiny and is in the middle of a room made of glass in the middle of the breakfast area, and it only has 2 chairs in there. I saw baby pools that were larger. •the hotel has no parking!!! It says they do but the “hotel parking” is just 6 places on the street with a small sign that says hotel, no one is in charge with that and the locals who live there

We had exceptional service at Kos Aktis. Everything from the arrival at the hotel (including a personalised transfer by a staff member from the port to the hotel since we couldn’t get a cab), to the exceptional breakfast service and the outstanding receptionist help throughout our stay. Patmos Atkis could learn a lot from their sister Hotel Kos Atkis with regards to service!!!!

i can imagine that a few months ago, this hotel must have been a rather nasty place. However, you can tell it has been completely renovated very recently. We stayed in the exec. suite for three nights and my word, what a stay it was! Not only was the suite super-spacious but also super clean and the staff deserve a medal. Very friendly, highly attentive and very welcoming, mostly young people working there. I love little gems like these. And I quite frankly haven't experienced such a nice stay at a ocean front hotel ever before. The cuisine (for what we tried) is outstanding! Priced in the ok-but-not-every-time-league your bang for the buck is guaranteed at the Albergo Gelsomino. Soooooo, to the downsides: There is none really. Just bear in mind you're not in the countryside. In other words, you will hear some surrounding noise when u go to bed early. But honestly, after a day at the beach and after a couple of caribbean storms (a signature drink, totally recommend) you just sink into that bed sent from the greek gods themself and falls asleep. Note: get up early to see the most beautiful sunrise from one of the balconies (yes, you have 4 access to different balconies.) So, few things to consider: - when will i be back? - whom do i have to bribe to get hold of that mattress? - will francesco succeed with his barber school? THANK YOU GELSOMINO-TEAM FOR AN AWESOME STAY

Lovely hotel, immaculately clean with very friendly and helpful staff. I went as a solo female traveler and was made to feel very welcome and comfortable, even with a majority of non-British holidaymakers. I particularly liked the breakfast eating area, cool and shaded with plenty of outdoor tables overlooking the gardens and the mountains to the left. As others have said, the beach can be reached very easily through the gardens (gate opens between 7am and 8pm) and I hired pedal bikes for 2 days at 5 euro per day. My room was perfect, spacious as it was meant for 3 people, I could only find a couple of UK tv channels (Star I think showed a few films and the others were news channels) and WIFI only worked in the lobby or front terrace. Aircon in the room was great (not noisy or cantankerous and at no extra cost), fridge, big enough wardrobe with lots of hangers etc. and a decent sized balcony. I was very happy staying here and would book again as the staff were non-imposing, friendly, helpful and everything was easily accessible. Thanks for a great stay!

The price was very good for the apartment which had 2 bedrooms a kitchenette with fridge and kettle but no cooking facilities which suited us very well . cereal and fruit is all we needed for breakfast and then eat out for evening meal. A bathroom with shower. Towels changes every couple of days. Maid service every day emptying bins and tidying bed. which were changed twice during our 10 day stay. No Tv available and no seating area or lounge just the 2 bedrooms. We had a big balcony with sun from morning till night which was wonderful although not private as you could see all the other guests on theirs.Good English breakfast available which we enjoyed. Snacks throughout the day. Only 5 minutes walk down to the beach where there are plenty of bars and restaurants. It was fairly quiet coming to the end of the season but open everywhere. Staff at Origin very friendly especially Tigga who, worth her weight in gold,. was amazing always there to greet and have a chat. Everywhere was clean. The pool was appreciated and sunbeds always available, cold yes but i loved it. Aircon on was an extra cost but we didn't use it. It's on a main road so can be quite noisy if balcony doors are kept open. Payment for safe was not refunded it was a one off payment . Masks were only necessary when going into shops but staff had to wear them most of the time. Hand sanitizer available everywhere and encouraged. Felt very safe re Coronavirus precautions and preparations. All in all Origin is a fun place to stay great location great price so would probably return there again if returning to Kardamena.

We spent a week at the Astron . Our room had a balcony overlooking the harbour. Really lovely and very relaxing, to sit drinking tea and watching the boats go in and out. I would say its the best situated hotel on Kos. Right in the centre of town so plenty of restaurants and shops about. In the harbour is the ferry to Bodrum and the day trip ferries too so it's easy to book trips. The nearest beach is a short walk. It is more shingle than sand but the sea is very warm. The breakfast was included in the price and very nice, again with harbour views. My only complaint was that the website said there were pool towels and there weren't. I complained and they have since taken it off their website. We travelled with Tui and only had 15kg luggage allowance so packed light and left towels behind as we thought the hotel provided them. The swimming pool was cold so we swam in the sea which was warmer. The Jacuzzi was drained and out of order. The staff were very nice. It is worth paying the extra for the harbour view, it really makes the stay amazing.
