Lovely family run hotel, location is very good for the beach and close to all restaurants and bars 5 mins to harbour.our room was cleaned every day except Sunday, towels changed every other day. We were in room C which had a pool and sea view, there is a fridge in the room. Pool bar food is very good and reasonably priced. Breakfast consisted of bread, ham, cheese, jam, orange juice and tea or coffee. Next day was a boiled egg, bread, jam.., orange and tea. Mike,Eleni and there daughters were very hard working and couldn’t do enough for you. Will definitely be back.

These apartments are run by a lovely family who cannot do enough for you. We arrived in the early hours of the morning and the owners had waited up for us and left us a bottle of water and some beer in the fridge which was most welcome. The apartments are spacious, having 2 beds in the bedroom and another in the lounge/kitchenette area. They are a little bit off the beaten track but it’s only a few minutes walk to the main street with numerous bars and restaurants. The apartments don’t have a pool but we used the beach or the pool at the Albatross Apartments so this wasn’t an issue for us. We had a lovely stay here and would recommend these apartments for a nice laid back break.

Returned yesterday from a brilliant relaxing week staying in Christina studios. Spotlessley clean, bedding/towels changed daily. Lovely homemade biscuits waiting for me on arrival along with water & milk in fridge. Fantastic sea view from the terrace/balcony , room spacious, bed bit hard for me but didn’t stop me sleeping. Christina is a lovely friendly lady. Have no hesitation in recommending these studios, lovely quiet location near to,all restaurants, bars, supermarkets etc. Only 2 mins walk to harbour and seafront/beach. Although there is no pool you can use the pool/snack bar at either Villa Poppi (next door , down few steps) or as I did at Andreas Apartments, situated across the road from Christina’s. I’ll definately be returning next year for 2 weeks.

Booked these apartments for a Family wedding On arrival no one to greet us just a small blackboard with your name and room number no instructions how to operate the air con just a notice to say keep windows closed when the air on is on, perhaps a notice to say that the air con will not operate if the French windows are open as there is a sensor on them😡 Our French window did not lock, so told Joanna, her response was use the safe, it took 3 days to have the lock repaired, but did not stop Joanna asking for the bedroom tax. Rooms spacious spotlessly clean with lots of wardrobe space and drawers for your clothes. Kitchen needs to be upgraded as swollen cupboards which do not close not enough utensils very sparse, needs toaster and microwave, fridge door would not close. On arrival towels where lovely white and fluffy, but the next Linen change they where old and threadbare. Bed Linen and towels not changed enough, shower facilities where not too bad, shower rail was ok if you were 5' as the shower curtain was hanging 2' lower than the shower tray, the whole place needs a complete overall. Pool area is lovely, unfortunately 80% of the pool furniture is repaired or cracked and painted. Roxanna who operates the pool bar is great, and the only one there that can speak English, she translated our problems to Joanna. Raised voices quite often between Roxanna and Joanna which you do not want to hear during your holiday. Requested to have a late checkout told not available on any of our rooms but could use another room for 20 euros, but as our family had 3 rooms and we could not have late checkout Joanna informed us that it would be 60 euros for the room because there were 7 of us from 12 noon till 6pm, so decided to just have the one room for late checkout, other members of our party very unhappy as Joanna promised my daughter a late checkout room, then changed her mind and said the room was not available. Joanna was changing beds and cleaning the rooms when we were still in our rooms on the last day of our holiday which should be able to use until 12noon, she also entered rooms without knocking turned down or turned off the fridge. Our late checkout room she turned the air on off so that we could not use it. Hotel location is brilliant Roxanne and the cleaner where lovely, unfortunately Joanne is a tyrant, our family will definitely not be returning to Kontessa as long as Joanna is there, LOVELY LOCATION, Lacks organisation + Joanna is rude

Booked via booking.com. €60 double room Air con included. It was very efficient. Got off at bus stop. Albeit Hotel it is only 100m from road. No direct path. Had to walk a massive dogs leg to get there. Owner did say he would have picked me up. I did not know this otherwise would have defiantly done it. Room very tidy. Nice bed, but shower cubicle small, in fact would say if you are of a large disposition, you would not get in it!! Breakfast continental standard fare.

We have recently returned from a 10 night stay at this friendly hotel. With its beach front location this hotel offers excellent views across the bsy. The reception area is bright and airy with plenty of seating to relax in at the end of the day or whilst waiting to be picked up for trips or return to airport. If you arrive late you may need to go down to the bar area to get someone to check you in. The majority of rooms have a sea view, some more than others, ours had a full panoramic view and the sound of the waves in the store was a very relaxing sound at night. Though the rooms are compact and have set rooms, rather than a bathroom, they are comfortable and let's face it your only going to use it for showering and sleeping because the rest of the time you will be in the sun or dinning out. The balcony or veranda has a table and chairs with room to stretch out. If you want either a kettle or fridge in your room these are available at a charge as is the air conditioning and safe. The pool is small and has a limited number of sun lounger though there are plenty on the beach, again at a charge, or just spread you towel out on the sand. Breakfast is of a continental style and is adequate, most people should find enough to eat. The two restaraunts attached to the hotel sell a range of dishes, that big that two people could share one,. The bar area has plenty of seating and offers a range of local and international brands. All the staff and cleaners are friendly and helpful with some speaking English better than others. Our overall impression is that this a relaxing place to unwind.

I am staying here at moment and I am having the most relaxed holiday in an amazing setting. The rooms are basic but spotless and are cleaned every day. I asked for a sea view and I got one and I am not disappointed. On arrival at 9-30pm we were greeted by John who was very friendly and gave us a large bottle of nice cold water which was very much appreciated after our long journey from glasgow. Nothing us too much bother from all staff who are very friendly. Chrissie the manager runs the pool bar and she is so friendly and helpful and speaks excellent English. She knows all customers by name which I think is brilliant and makes u feel welcome. The pool is amazing with amazing views of the sea and it is located right on the beach. The food is great and very cheap and large portions given. The hotel bar closes at 6 but this is not a problem as there are many bars and tavernas within walking distance and it's great to have the peace and quiet on our return later that night. I would happily return here again and I highly recommend a visit. If u are thinking of coming here DO IT u won't b disappointed. I am here until the 1st Oct 2018 and I am absolutely loving it. Thank u Ionikos for a brilliant holiday in amazing settings.

One of my favourite holidays. I have been here two separate times - once with family and then a year later with my partner. Both times we chose to stay in a room with an attached to a pool which was certainly a very good idea and was well worth the money. The view from those rooms is stunning and the pool was so nice and quiet which we all really enjoy. The food here was lovely, especially the fact there were different themed nights most evenings with lots of different food. The locality to the local town Kardamena was not the best however we chose to get a taxi into the town several times which was extremely cheap and the town is lovely. The staff could not do enough for you, even offering fresh fruit when me and my partner arrived and when our flight got delayed on the way home they let us stay and have drinks around the pool before we got on our coach. Although it says we went December 2019 I went in 2016 and 2017 and I would still recommend to this day. Lovely hotel.

Arrived here on the 19th Oct, first impression on look of hotel and surrounding area NOT GOOD... Reception area like something from a 1960 Moscow Hotel, after a long speech from the manager and requesting a credit card copy.....why very unusual, he then requested a tax up front... no settle in first.... we must have it. We went to our room that was facing a waste area, not a plant in site, the high stone balcony blocked any view, looking down we saw scrapped cars and machinery, as the previous reviewer said, the room stunk, it was a terrible start to our hols.... we went downstairs and only ever heard the manager telling people what to do.... The concrete pool area again reminded me of a 60s Moscow Hotel, sunbeds actually rusty... no cushions, pool bar rough and unkempt.... we got out of here and had a drink to try and calm down.... my wife decided she could not spend 12 nights in here and was close to tears, I mean, we are away three or four times a year to various Greek resorts and know the Greek lifestyle, but this was something else man, went back, got our cases still unopened explained to manager and he said he would refund my tax I paid....... still waiting.... never got asked can they do anything, which was fine as I just wanted to be away from this awful place, we were quoted £350, for a deal in a hotel in Kefalos, which is Ten Times nicer than Kardamena resort... we stayed at the Hermes, my God what a difference and what splendid hosts Diana , Sebastian and Nic were, The Jet2 Rep Sharon was straight on the case, organising a transfer saving us £350... what a star, no doubt the rep from Kris Mari would have done this, but hones, we could not even stay one night.... I sat and thought for a couple of days....... how can anyone give this a good review, it just doesn't add up, its awful.... I cannot also understand how Jet2 keep this on their books..... As afore mentioned we are avid traveler's and never expect more than what you pay for....... but just could not stay at this baron place at the end of the resort with broken down cars and abandoned buildings all around you.... There it is. Never want anyone to waste hard earned money on a substandard accommodation..

We had exceptional service at Kos Aktis. Everything from the arrival at the hotel (including a personalised transfer by a staff member from the port to the hotel since we couldn’t get a cab), to the exceptional breakfast service and the outstanding receptionist help throughout our stay. We have spent 10 days at the More Meni hotel. We had a ground floor based room which I think is described as a suite but is just a large room with a bathroom. Putting that aside, the room qualify is exceptionally high on Greek standards. The rooms are very modern and exceptionally clean. The rooms were cleaned every day. The rooms have a small fridge but do not have tea and coffee making facilities. The hotel is located in the centre of the main street close to great bars, restaurant and with easy reach of the beach. If you are on a half board basis the meals are on a buffet basis. Breakfast consisted of a choice of fruit, bread, continental, pastries, cereals and a number of hot items. The choice does not vary on a day to day basis but there is plenty of variety. Evening meal was three courses: salad starters, mains normally had three choices, and desert was fruit or local cakes. Generally we were pleased with the food quality and choice but there is not much variety. The dining room can get quite crowded as tables operate on a first come first serve basis. The restaurant referred to in other reviews, is attached to the hotel but is actually chargeable. It is very good - a modern twist on traditional fare and very reasonable priced. Overall we were very happy with the hotel and will definitely stay here again.

I have just booked my return visit to Roselands, and looking forward to my next, peaceful, relaxing break here next May. I cannot understand why other reviewers complain so bitterly. Yes, it is quiet, as described within the hotel description. Read it. Yes, they charge tourist tax. It’s the law. No, they do not want you filling your germ filled water bottles directly out of the dispenser. Neither do I. Buy water, it isn’t expensive. Food is fine. Not brilliant, but good for the price. If you want better, go elsewhere, and pay a lot more. Pool area superbly clean and well kept. Rooms cleaned regularly. Internet only works in the reception area, exactly as described by the hotel. Sorry to all little Englanders, but yes, other nationalities holiday here too. So if you hear Russian, Italian, French people talking and having fun.....get over it. Some people expect everything, but want to pay a minimum. Life isn’t like that......for what you will pay to stay here, you will get great value. Ignore all of the poor reviews, trust me.

Arrived late at night and got a good welcome. Room was a two bed apartment both were spacious, balconies on both rooms. We were 4 Adults sharing this apartment but think its geared up for a couple with children as only one room had a wardrobe and air con.. It didn't affect our stay. I requested a blanket as i get cold easily and it was brought up immediately with a smile. The entire staff here are really nice polite people. Fresh linen, cleaned spotlessly, The shower is just a single base unit, none of us found a problem with it or the water pressure. always hot water at any time of the day! Complimentary shower gel and shampoo, dont know if this was replenished as we brought our own.. Rooms cleaned every day and towels replaced. Bring your own washing up liquid and tea towel As with most self catering its not provided.. We didnt need a hairdryer or iron which both could be accessed from the reception. Never used the safe either which is downstairs at the reception (small fee for it) and not in the rooms.. This is a family owned and run apartments and they work really hard to make sure you have a lovely holiday. The bad reviews do not reflect the place one bit! In fact ignore them and focus on the good reviews. The pool area is also spotless no signs of any wear or tear, plenty loungers and the pool tavern is open from 7.00 am to 7.00 pm. We ate and drank here every day. prices were reasonable and food was of an excellent quality and cooked to perfection. Big portions as well.. Cooked fresh so order in advance! The bar comes in to its own, Pedro was our server most of the time we were there, and to put up with our drunken antics he needed a medal !! Fair to say the bar was used into the early hours and he smiled all through the night... You are less than 3 mins from a supermarket, Gyros takeaway and the strip which has bars and eating places in abundance. Also local bus stop and Taxis. It really was the perfect place for us, a group of 8.. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Elga to anyone.. If we were ever to return to Kos I would be booking here.. Thanks for a fantastic stay..

In regard to our stay at the Bristol Sea View Apartments from the 15th – 21st August, 2018, we would make the following comments; 1.For most of the time that we stayed at the apartment, there was no hot water, only during the evening for showering for a limited period of time due to the hot water being dependant on Solar Heating. During the day there was no hot water available at either the kitchen sink or in the bathroom basin. 2. The pool area was locked and inaccessible after 6.00pm. This rule would seem to be difficult to understand since the owners (ie reception) were due to be present until 9.00pm. 3. The Kitchen area was lacking basic essentials such as dishwashing liquid, brush and scourer. No Toaster or salad or serving bowls or dishes were available. 4. There was insufficient lighting in the bathroom, especially for shaving and putting on makeup. 5. There was no ceiling fan in the room to move the air on a hot day. 6. There were no Reading lights available. 7. The Safe, where valuables were stored, required a key to lock the safe. This situation was unsatisfactory since a duplicate key may have been available. 8.No Iron or ironing board was available. 9.In regard to the use of toilets in several of the units /apartments that we stayed in Greece, there was a metal sign in the toilet area stating that “ No paper must be placed in the toilet “. This request was quite alarming since toilet paper containing human faeces should only be placed in the toilet for health reasons. What we believe the sign should have stated was that “only toilet paper should be placed in the toilet”. Overall Rating: 5/10

We spent a week at Hotel Kalimera Mare Aug 2019 with our 2 kids age 8 & 10. It couldn't have been better - the staff are really genuinely friendly and helpful, greeting us by our name when we arrived, the hotel is spotless, rooms basic but very comfortable with a stunning sea and countryside views, serviced to a high standard every day. The food is excellent, lovely freshly prepared food every meal with a great choice of starters, breakfasts and puddings and a choice of 3 hot main courses & good waiter service. Greek night (Thursdays) was fun with traditional Greek dancers and an outdoors buffet for guests. It's a peaceful hotel, no local noise, no noisy guests (families or couples), really near the beach although it's stoney so bring beach shoes to swim in. Great for snorkelling and watersports. There's a tiny supermarket next door (really only good for drinks, snacks and lilos) but Kardemena's a 4km walk/cycle/bus trip which has supermarkets, restaurants, bars, shops and OK beaches. The hotel pool's nice but we spent the week using next door's pool which guests are allowed to use, much bigger, no-one around, clean and has a friendly and relaxed pool-side bar which does great cocktails, mocktails and light bites. We squeezed in Nisyros volcano via the pirate ship (!), cycling, snorkelling, a trip to Kos town, a day at Aquatic Waterpark - excellent and not too busy, go-karting, inflatable towed by a boat and a windsurf lesson. We'll definitely be back.

Our stay at Andromeda was just perfect! The rooms and the facilities were incredibly clean and well maintained. We only know this kind of cleanliness from the good 5 star hotels in Dubai, but Andromeda can definitely keep up with that. We already felt comfortable as soon as we entered the hotel. The pool area and also the garden are very nice and well-kept and only invited us to relax. We felt warmly welcomed in this family run hotel. Grigoris and his sister Marietta are very friendly and kind people. They are very helpful and courteous. Whenever we needed advice on activities or restaurants, they always took the time to give us valuable tips. Marietta is super open-hearted and took us on a little private tour of the complex, showing us all the beautiful fruit trees and telling us interesting stories about the hotel and how it was built. The location of the hotel is perfect, with a rental car you are in the city in 5 minutes and everything else was also super easy to reach. A bus stop is also directly at the hotel. We were there in Corona time and have to say that they put a lot of effort in following the hygienic measures and we felt very safe. We will definitely come back and recommend it with pleasure. Thanks Grigoris and Marietta! :)

Just returned from an amazing October half term holiday here with our 3 small children. Booked 18 months ago, and almost cancelled last year after reading some terrible reviews on here. So so glad we didn't! I'll go through the main things I was worried about, just in case anyone else is looking at the same situation / time of year. We went 19th-26th of October, and it was 26 degrees! Yes the pool was freezing, but we all got used to it after a few minutes and the weather was hot enough to make up for it. The great thing about this time of year was that it was fairly quiet, no problems getting a sunbed etc, yet all of the entertainment was still on- great as the animation team are a particular highlight of this hotel! They worked so hard, the kids loved them and the grown up Aqua gym was pretty fun too :) (That said it's worth checking your half term dates- we were grateful ours was last week, as it was the last week of the season. The mini disco and pool programme etc was closing up the night we left. I know other boroughs are on holiday this week instead, in which case everything would be finished and the experience would be v different.) Sunrises on the beach were amazing! Yes, the beach is stoney and the sea is deep, but our kids liked playing with the stones and were happier in the pool anyway so it wasn't a problem. The hotel is huge and well laid out. There's an excellent park which our kids loved, and we were amazed at the size of our room. I emailed ahead to ask for a ground floor apartment as I was worried about the toddler climbing on a balcony , and they provided for that. Our Air con was broken first night but was fixed by the time we returned from breakfast the next morning. We found all the staff friendly and very helpful, and I personally found the other guests- regardless of nationality- friendly too. Again, due to time of year, the restaurants and bars were quiet, which was nice. The food was good- admittedly not all of it!- but there was plenty on offer and lots of it good quality too. The giro station at the pool restaurant was particularly good, as was the desserts and ice cream! I can't comment much on alcohol as we had three under fives with us so didn't get much chance!! But the anniversary card and bottle of wine in the room was a lovely touch- especially as we sat on our porch most evenings while the kids slept! There were lots of comments in reviews about "childish plastic cups". This concerned me from a pollution point of view, so we brought our own reusable cups and straws from home. Rinsed them out after drinks and washed properly with a little washing up liquid on a night in our room. So easily done, saved a ton of plastic waste going into landfill/the sea. Why not consider doing the same? The bar staff were very happy to oblige and I had a good chat with one of them about how plastic could be reduced at the bar on a larger scale, ("nothing really gets recycled on this island"). Something to think about! Not

This place is amazing! There's a pool behind the building accessible from 9am to 8pm, the staff is super friendly! Giorgio, the owner, was always very ready and willing to give us extra advice about places, bus routes and trips around the islands. Also Auntie was super nice. The apartments are very well furnished, with electric cookers, all the necessary to cook from the first day (one pot, one frypan, various spoons, etc). Towels and bedwear are changed every day. Bike rental is literally two places to the right, the mini market is at two minutes walk and the super market at five minutes walk. The city center is about 10 minutes walk from Esperides. I would absolutely advice you to choose Esperides for your trip to Kos, do it now!

Greece is my favorite place in the world for relaxing. And if you don't want to spend a stupid amount of money, Maritsa Studios is the place to go. The owner is a wonderful and helpful woman, the place is on the edge of the town, only a 10 minute walk to the beach. The hotel is clean and better than you expect. I recommend an up stairs room for the view but the down stairs rooms may be a bit cooler being not near the roof. There is a fabulous restaurant up the hill about fifty meters. This is a great restaurant! I can't recommend it highly enough. Good value, sea breeze, lovely people, and great food. If you want something fancy, don't go to this hotel, but for a wonderful relaxing time, away from all the fuss, this is the place.

I've just return from a three day business trip from Kos.I choose MARITINA a nice cheap city hotel at the middle of town.We were a team of three persons and we reserve a nice room with three beds at the second floor at the backyard of the building(No 219).Nice decorated, good dimensions, with a nice flat tv a safe deposit box(without charge)and a mini refrigerator. At the lobby area there is a bar and also an internet corner .There is a small parking zone at the front of the hotel(the space is very limited only for three cars.Of course there is a small problem with the doors of the rooms. You must take care to close carefully. There a pool bar with a small pool at the upper floor of the hotel,Nice to have some relaxing time over there. The prices at the bar are logical. All the stuff are very helpful and polite. The breakfast area located next to lobby. It was nice but I expected more. There is free wifi at all the area of the hotel.I read some reviews about the A/C at the rooms but ours was functionalThe only negative was the small balcony and without view. Thanks a lot all the staff.

In brief :- A reasonable small complex amidst largely agricultural land. Tidy and reasonably kept, Facilities may be inadequate at times of full occupancy (there was competition for evening bar seating, evening meal seating and pool sunbeds in late September/early October). A twenty minute unchallenging walk to the pleasant local beaches. All inclusive isn't quite all inclusive. Location. Set amongst fields with a few vehicle hire establishments, tavernas and other hotels in the vicinity. Nearest decent shop is half a mile, the nearest beach (without sunbeds) is 3/4 mile and the nearest beach with facilities is just over a mile. The nearest reasonable shopping town is Tigaki, about two miles past the salt pan with it's flamingos. If you wish to be away from noise and bustle the location is pretty good. The Hotel. Tidy and well kept, it comprises a number of small blocks spreadout over the site as opposed to being one large block. Cleaning is adequate and the cleaning staff are friendly though the toothpaste splashes, there when we arrived, on our bathroom wall were never cleaned off and we didn't fancy the job. The beds are comfortable and the rooms adequately sized, the view from the balcomies is reasonable if your room faces outwards, otherwise you'tr looking at (and being overlooked by) other rooms. Facilities. As stated at the beginning, bar and restaurant seating and pool sunbeds were insufficient in number at a time when occupancy wasn't full. We tried to find sunbeds twice at around 9.30am and failed, thereafter we went to the beach and paid for the facilities. The pool looks ok though. The restaurant is tidy and clean as is the bar. The staff are on the friendly side of polite so no problems there with the exception of the night receptionist who seemed offended by our 00.30 arrival disturbing his nap. All inclusive. Be aware - Included alcoholic drinks are wine, beer and ouzo. Locally produced spirits a Euro a hit, "proper" spirits and cocktails can be a costly (if pleasant) habit. After 22.30 EVERYTHING has to be paid for. All inclusive snacks between mealtimes? dont. The meals are adequate if a little boring, but everything seemes to be pretty fresh. We ate out midday or evening every other day just for variety. Overall. Pleasant enough place but hire a quad or car for at least four days and go visit some of the interesting and /or beautiful places on this charming little island otherwise you're trapped in the same place for the duration of your holiday (unless that's what you want). We explored and had a great time doing so.

Seven friends and I showed up to Atacames for Carnaval with a larger group than expected, so 3 people from our group were ready to stay in Rio Atacames as we found it was one of the only hotels in the area with fair ratings. We show up and are greeted through a peep hole, and then do a short tour. After a brief inspection, we decide it looks clean enough to sleep in for a few nights so we decide to pay for a room up front in cash for all 4 nights. We come back later with our friends who will be staying there to drop off their bags, so the lady running the place takes us up to the room with towels and leaves them on the bed...which we then realize has bed bugs/eggs all over the pillows. When we bring that to her attention she rushes to a new room without a word and ushers us in there to inspect-no bed bugs are found- so she moves their bags and towels(now covered in bed bugs??). My friends are hesitant to stay there, but without a bed bug in sight they settle on staying there. Fast forward 5 hours: bedtime comes around and we head our separate ways. Once they arrived to the hotel, they checked the beds one more time-THANKFULLY-because low and behold there are more. bed. bugs. They leave and find a new hostel to spend the night before heading back to get a refund. THE REFUND WAS REFUSED. FOUR NIGHTS WORTH. The next thing I hear is that my friends had to get police and the owner of a major hotel involved to get even a partial refund (wouldn't refund us from the first night+deposit). The lady in charge and her partner stretched out the refund-paying over three days, with each day grew our frustration and their hostility: first day half in cash, the second day half in COINS which we had to count and got yelled at for questioning their counting abilities, and we came back a third day for $5.... Thankfully we have no intentions of returning to Atacames or to Rio Atacames.

This was our first trip to kos, read the reviews on the Aegean Houses and all looked good. So on arriving we were greeted like old friends, we were offered refreshments so they could check our room was ready for us. First impression was the bar, reception, restaurant and pool area all look fabulous. We then made are way to our room and yes like a lots of other reviews the rooms are dated, but clean and all you need for a self catering holiday. The big bonus to this hotel is the staff, all work so hard to make your stay a happy and relaxing time. We have to say a big thank you to kyros the evening barman, he was amazing, made you feel right at home, introduce you to other people and made the most amazing cocktails , we found ourselves going back EVERY night for a few drinks. We did have a few bar snacks and they were very good as well. Plenty of place to eat near by, we went into Kos Town most evenings, only 20 minutes walk, and the choice in here to eat is fantastic. Had a car for 4 days to explore the island to be fair you could do it in a day, but it was nice to do it at a relaxing pace. Would I return yes, but with so many other Greek islands to explore, it would only be a short break.

We couldn't have picked a better hotel for our short break to Kos town (using TUI). In these difficult times the break was a welcome tonic and made especially better by the hospitality of the family team who run it so well. The whole hotel is amazingly clean, room was very good with a modern ultra clean bathroom and the pool area is a delight with a great bar area as well. We enjoyed a continental breakfast every morning (yoghurt with honey very good) on the lovely sunny terrace at the front of the hotel. It was quiet whilst we were there (end of the season and COVID impacts) but nothing was too much trouble for the staff / management - we really enjoyed their company and exceptional hospitality. It is in a great location - near to beach front bars and a short stroll into the harbour area and central Kos Town. No complaints at all from us and we fully intend to return - thank you to Michael, Tony and Irene for hosting us so perfectly in your excellent hotel! All the best, Phil & Nicky.

Unfortunately our holiday was cancelled due to our travel agency going into liquidation a week before staying at the Aqua Blue. We re-booked and asked for our original high room floor with a sea-view which we had paid for. Unfortunately our room was on the ground floor, very underwhelming and in poor condition. We stayed the night as we had travelled from Australia and spoke with Maria the next day. All thanks to Maria she moved us to a much nicer room and is a genuinely lovely lady. If we had stayed in our original room the hotel would have been given 2 star, the food for breakfast was lovely, although some things were lost in translation when ordering. (omelettes) Like other reviews not quite 5* -(especially as its very expensive) no free water in room, bathroom sliding doors didn't fit exactly, shower was standing in the bathtub and had to wait for room to be made up on 2 days until 3pm. Overall Maria and the staff were friendly and polite and the hotel is spotlessly clean which makes an enormous difference. Location good, local bus to old town and beach (although not like a beach in Oz lol) has comfortable sunbeds and a view of Turkey over the way. Would we go back. No.

We were dreaming of going to Casa Cook (now OKU hotels) for so long but unfortunately we were pretty disappointed by the experience. First impression was very good. Friendly & helpful reception staff, gorgeous location and architecture/design. Same for the rooms. The beach is beautiful and the whole vibe is super relaxing. However little by little the flaws were showing and by day 4 (when we left) we could conclude we had a good stay, but wouldn’t come back nor recommend it to other people and here’s why: First of all I was expecting a middle size boutique like hotel, but OKU Kos is actually a resort size hotel. No offence to the hotel for this, I misinterpreted the website gallery and my preference is more for smaller hotels but this is personal. We stayed for 3 nights - 4 days and our room did not get cleaned once. I don’t need fresh linen every day but at least a quick clean and making up the bed is a bare minimum for this price (we had the junior suite). Also there was a septic smell passing by now and then and everything was super humid and smelled humid. We were given only 1l of complimentary water each day, and water in the restaurant was 4,50 euros the bottle. NOT OK. The restaurant was very big and cafeteria like, the tables are not beautifully set as the pictures in the gallery, you just receive a napkin with cutlery once you’re seated, and it is super expensive. The staff in the restaurant and bar were not very professional, lacked a proper maitre d’, their uniforms were very sloppy, and all due respect for the hassle of wearing mouth masks but PLEASE if you’re going to wear them, wear them the right way and not with your nose sticking out (90% of them 90% of the time). But this would be easily forgotten if they would be friendly, and although some of them were very friendly and helpful, a lot were NOT! This may have been the biggest bummer of our trip. I spent a lot of time trying to catch their attention to order something, and once I did, they were uninterested or even arrogant. When I spilled my glass of wine (yes I’m clumsy), no one of the staff came to help or clean the table, they just passed by. We eventually cleaned it ourselves with our napkins, the floor was left stained… Oh and also, the music in the lounge area and restaurant for me is not necessary the whole day long. Some times it was really nice, but mostly it was just disturbing the chil & relaxed vibe. So I would say for OKU Kos yes… but no.

Only a short walk from the downtown harbour/shopping/restaurant area and less than 5 min walk to Lambi beach, a great spot to be. Our unit had a view of the hills from the back and you could see the sea from the front. Keep the doors and windows open and the most amazing breeze blows thru. A/C in the bedroom and stand up fan available upon request. Great water pressure in the shower and hot. Kitchen has the basic tools to cook and a table and chairs. Microwave, mini fridge, kettle, toaster and a hot plate. Apartment was very clean. Lots of bedding, towels and a table with chairs on the balcony. There was also a collapsible unit to hang your wet beach clothes. Pool and pool area always clean as well as a bar and breakfast area. The owner and his son were super warm and welcoming. Always a smile to greet us and answer any questions we may have. Due to Covid, we were lucky to be able to stay here as usually it's always booked. If you can get a reservation, don't hesitate.

Only had the two nights booked as due to fly out at an awkward time as we had been staying at another hotel for our previous nights which was lovely but no where near to how lovely this hotel chain is. Everything you could want from a 5 star hotel is here! Just don't understand about those who moan about Norida. Meals wonderful! Service excellent, entertainment ok but it is October at least there is something, all the usual mitsis offerings, tea and coffee facilities in room, drinks in fridge, beach towels, cocktails included in price, bedroom comfort, excellent! What I will compliment Norida on is the way they have organized the buffet area it works perfect! To each servery there are ways in and ways out, personally I found it worked, and they offer you good servings too. No problem. For October we had good weather 😎. If you're luckily enough to visit this hotel enjoy the experience! 👍

We have stayed in Blue Lagoon City hotel bet. 17 - 20 th Noweöber. Its a new hotel only 1 yrs old. I can say everything is brand new. Our room was so comfortable , large enough for two people and fashionably designed. Hotel has a futurustic and minimalistic decortion free of unnecessary details. Comfortable bed, warm room and beautiful breakfast ! I must also mention that both ladies in the reception were extremely helpful to fulfill our needs. They were simply amazing !! The location is fair enough for a maximum 10 minutes walk to town center which makes the location satisfying I may say the only missing things were the minibar was empty and there is no printed or digital room service menu avaible in rooms. Of course they did not even make asmall negative percentge for our experience... Blue Lagoon City hotel is our permanent home when we visit Kos from now on !!!

We cannot fault anything about the holiday we had in the Astir Odysseus. We travelled late September (27th think) and stayed for two weeks, so we knew the holiday season was coming to an end. We booked a family room through Tui as this was the only accomdation options available at the time we booked. Though only two of us, the extra space the family room gave us was helpful. If its not clear from pictures, as you enter the room, there is a sofa bed on the right which would easily be ample for an young adult or children. It also has its on air con in this section and there is doors that seperate this section from the main bedroom. The wardrobe was easily enough for two, so easily stretch to three. The main bedroom is large with a sofa and ours lead onto a balcony that looked over the main pool near the hotel. We stayed in room 222. Would recommend this to anyone. The room was great, though had a few occassion to get maintennance support for the air con but was fixed in hours of us raising with reception. Room was cleaned spotlessley every day with the beds made. Couldn't ask for more. We primarily stayed around the main pool and I guess possibly being the time of year but it was so nice not having to get up at crack of dawn to save a sun bed. We would just leisurely sure beds after breakfast nearly every day after 10 am. Relaxing. And even more relaxing, downloaded the app and was able to order drinks to your sun bed. We found at best it took upto 5 mins or less to arrive. Excellent. We booked with All inclusive, so a good range of cocktails were available and made from scratch in the main bar (think beach bar may have had pre-made cocktails but still pretty good). Local beer on tap was ok but i preferred the local bottle beer, still included but less gassy. Also they had gluten free beer, which I preferred. Stripped them dry within a few days. But bless them, restoked within a day or so. Onto that, bar staff were brilliant, attentive and got to know a few of them (Stellios and a one I name Roy Keane) who were great to have conversations and always genuinly happy to serve. And if you want something different they have a range of craft beers and cocktails no on the all inclusive list you could buy. Yes, they were 5-7 Euros a go but reasonable if you leave them as treats. Food was excellent. So much choice and every day something different if you dared to try, though there was regular dishes (pizza, pasta, chips) and vast ranges of salads. They had a great display of olive oils - over 25 bottle or so, which was great to try with various breads. And the deserts, we've been to a number of greek islands and hotels, and the majority serve what we regard as puff and fluff - they look nice but no substance. Astir Odysseus you have broken the mould. Chocolate that tastes like chocolate, patisseries with substance. Brilliant. You could choose to eat inside but lots of outside options which we preferred and meant it didn't feel like canteen like ot

Stayed here last October with my partner. We had a modern room with a sea view and it was spacious enough for the two of us. The breakfast was our favorite part of the stay, really tasty and good variety, you could sit either inside or outside on the terrace watching the sea. The staff was helpful, special mention goes to the cleaning staff who greeted us with a huge smile every morning! The pool area was smaller than we expected and had shade almost the whole day but all in all we had a nice stay and would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a place in the town area.

Upon arrival, we were greeting by amicable reception staff who immediately made us feel at home. As we arrived a little earlier than expected, our room wasn’t ready; however, after a couple of phone calls from the helpful receptionist, we were able to check in much earlier. Throughout the holiday, every single member of staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome; from the poolside waiter, who remembered our order every day and even had my favourite bottle of wine delivered from the restaurant as he saw me arriving at the pool bar, to the attentive evening staff, who offer the best cuisine recommendations and the maids, who deliver sweet treats and bottles of water to your room every evening. The setting and hotel itself are both beautiful, with picturesque vistas and a private beach across the road. The location is perfect for those wanting to pop in to Kos town. We took the bus every evening, which was about €6 (for two) return (buy your outgoing tickets on the bus and return tickets at the kiosk where you’re dropped off). It’s about a 10-15-minute journey due to several hotel pick-ups (and drop-offs on the way back). A word of warning, the bus is never on time (reception can provide a bus timetable); however this didn’t bother us. If the bus was running too late, we would grab a taxi from the rank opposite the bus stop in town and take a walk along the beach whilst waiting for our outbound trip. When in the town, there’s an abundance of restaurants and bars to visit - we’d highly recommend Sitar in the square (a short 5-minute walk from the bus stop), which sells IPA and Pink Gin for us Brits! Food in the hotel is out of this world! Little details like gifts from the chef really make eating at this hotel special. What’s more, the buffet-style breakfast is fantastic, which caters to absolutely all tastes; with full-English, Greek yoghurt, a wide-ranging variety of pastries; and much more. The food is rotated too, so you don’t tire of the same choices. The hotel also set up weekly activities such as runs along the beach, jazz nights and movie nights under the stars, which is perfect if you want to avoid the bus into town one night. Attention to detail is what makes Lango stand out from other resorts in the area; the concept of relaxation has truly been adhered to, and I think it’ll be difficult to find another hotel that epitomises wellness as seamlessly as Lango. I would definitely recommend Lango to anyone looking for first-class service and a truly ‘revitalising’ holiday. We will certainly return once we’ve explored more Greek Islands! Thanks Lango, see you soon!

An amazing 11 night stay at the Dimitra. A warm welcome at reception when we arrived and a nice welcome drink. Delicious and always fresh hot food, themed nights through out the week one a weekly turn over. The staff and service made the holiday, I have never experienced such wonderful hospitality and they were always happy to see you and have a chat. We stayed in a deluxe beach bungalow and it was beautiful, clean spacious and had everything you needed in there. We stayed around the activity pool as the pool bar and the pool below that was actually really dirty. There was a film of scum on top of the water, but the activity pool was really nice and clean. Never had any issues with sun beds, there were always ones available. People do reserve them which is a bit annoying and there really is no need because there are plenty for everyone. Entertainment was really good, usually I hate hotel entertainment because it's so cheesy and they drag you up every 5 minutes, but this wasnt the case at all. It was more adult friendly entertainment, performers who can actually sing and dance and they do a traditional Greek night every Wednesday, which is really good fun!! Lastly the view...say no more. Stunning!!! Gorgeous views over Turkey and the sunsets are just beautiful. This was our first time to Kos and definitely wont be our last. Thank you Dimitra for such a lovely holiday and creating great memories for us c

This is by far our best holiday (honeymoon .... we have both had one before and can say that with integrity) we have ever had.... We will certainly be back there next year. We have to say that there are some faults with this hotel (I will address these) however we have had such a fantastic time that they pale well in to oblivion.... the staff are so so so cheerful and happy and accommodating that you almost feel part of the hotel family. The rooms are comfy and clean ... I have seen the shower comments of past (on trip advisor) however it’s not a chore to hold the shower really is it??? Yes if it was on the wall then it would be the icing on the cake.... but really it’s minor! Food... yes was on the cooler side but i found it tasty and good to eat... PS no issue on the food poison front.....we always go out for a couple of meals during our holiday and we didn’t change that.... if you stay here or you do you really need to eat at Mama Marianas ..restaurant behind the hotel.... the garlic cheese bread is to die for!!!! You will have seen the mention of Alexandra in the bar.... she is the hart and front of the hotel.. yes she is the most amazing person that makes all of you feel the most important one of her ‘baby’s’ as she call us all 😂 however she is a person that means exactly what she says ... you want something she hasn’t got it she sends out for it. All in all this is a fantastic place.

As a couple we booked this hotel after reading the excellent reviews. The Agrelli family are welcoming and friendly as are all the staff. We were in a twin room, although small it had everything we needed and spotlessly clean. It had a small fridge, kettle and safe deposit box (small supplement)As you will read in most of the reviews it was difficult to not soak the bathroom floor when showering, typical for Greece. Breakfast is greek continental, toast, crossaints, ham, cheese, boiled eggs, tomatoes, cucumber, yogurt, fruit(tinned),jam, marmalade, fruit juice,tea/coffee and sponge cake. The pool area is small but very nice.We only stayed once as we prefer the beach, there always appeared to be sun loungers available. The hotel is in a good location approx 5 min walk to the nearest beach which was a small cove and a little rocky a further 10min walk along the front and past the harbour will get you to a sandy larger beach. The sun loungers are free to customers of the beach front taverna's.There is a supermarket less than 5 min walk from the hotel and a restuarant (Sun Mediterranean) and bar nearby, Kos town is approx 45min bus ride away, the bus stop is approx a 10min walk along the main road, it is worth a visit it has plenty of history shops bars and taverna's.We would definately recommend this hotel.
