Don’t expect to eat weekends, even though the website states restaurant open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner. This is nonsense. I booked to stay on a Tuesday and then asked them to save a table only to be told they were closed. On our return trip we booked to stay on a Saturday and again asked for a table and were told again the restaurant was closed weekends. This is very bad as it is not possible to cancel booking without paying. This hotel should be taken off the Kyriad group as it is letting the good name of Kyriad down.

Rooms were very clean, loved the fact they had roller shutters outside, we were there last week W/c 16th and we had a mini heat wave 30 degees air con came in very handy. Service was excellent and the foods was very good value for money and also excellent, no on-site parking but there was plenty of local parking, within mins walk. Also only a 10 minute walk into the town, highly reccoment this hotel.

We chose this hotel literally as just a quick 'pit stop' on our drive to southern France, it was very cheap and we did not expect it to be very good. I have rated it as 'very good' as it exceeded our expectations. The car parking was easy and there was plenty of space, and the people (family?) running the hotel were all very friendly and helpful. The room was somewhat dated, but pleasant and clean, and the public areas were nice and well kept. The only slight downside for us was that there was no restaurant, and arriving in the evening after a 12 hour drive we were too tired to bother going out to find somewhere to eat.

Second stay here as it’s handy for an overnight stop on our way to a week’s fishing in Limousin. Comfy beds, clean and reasonably quiet. Could do with a makeover but excellent value for the price. Decent bar down the road for a drink and a bite to eat. Will use again in June, it really ticks all the boxes for an overnight stay if travelling through this area.

This hotel is perfectly located near the pedestrian center and in front of a secured parking. I came back for a third time and enjoyed the efforts they continuously make to maintain the service quality. The owner, as always very kind and helpful, was upgrading the WiFi after having cleaned the front of the building. Great job. A trick? Don’t forget to put the switch in permanent mode to keep lights on while taking your shower ;-) Indeed, the lights are switched on/off automatically to avoid wasting energy in corridors, but also in bathrooms.

This was our second visit to the hotel. It was not their fault that we were late in arriving - after both the Reception and the Restaurant had closed! - as this was due to some major hold-ups caused by the blockades arranged by "Les Gilets Jaunes"! To their credit, a quick 'phone-call had a Receptionist arrive, followed by another gentleman whom we took to be at managerial level. We were eventually registered (we did have a booking!) and took our baggage up to our room. We then decided to go out to find something to eat as, with the various hold-ups, we had not had a proper meal all day. Sadly, by 11.00 p.m. Chateauroux provides no eating establishments that we could find! The few that were still open were not accepting any new custom. We returned to our room - to discover that we could not enter. I went down to the Reception area, and discovered other guests with, apparently, the same problem. Our 'keycard' was dealt with in a machine; I went back up; and this time it worked. Before we shared the one apple that we had :-( ,my wife decided that a bath would help (she suffers from fibromyalgia). That was when we discovered that although there was a bath in the en suite, there was no way by which the water could be retained! My wife managed to hold a cloth over the drain hole, with her heel - but that was hardly satisfactory! It was, of course, now too late to go searching for staff. Later, there was excessive noise - one assumes from fellow guests - but I don't suppose that the hotel can be held fully responsible for that. All in all, a less pleasant experience than our previous one. It is now unlikely that we shall return.

This was a carefully chosen overnight stop en-route to and from Spain based on other guests reports. Everything about our stay was excellent and breakfast was the best we have ever experienced in France. Parking is in a secure car park directly across the small side road at a small cost. The building is a converted (2006) old tobacco factory and regional government offices adjacent to the hotel. We had a good value local steak (€22) on the way down and veal medallions (€18) in whiskey on the return. A good choice of reasonably priced wines on offer but beer at €7,90 for a half litre was overpriced! On the Saturday morning the owner was present at breakfast and showed a real interest in his guests. This will definitely be a regular venue on journeys to Spain.

In temperatures of 40-45, the Integral underground garage with Ibis-only spaces was a godsend. Hotel itself is clean, comfortable, well managed, with pleasant and helpful staff. Lots of restaurants and shops within very short walking distances. The only reason for rating “very good” and not “excellent” is that we woke up with itchy bites that we didn’t have when we went to bed — probably flea-bites. The hotel accepts dogs, and if course some people allow their little darlings to sleep on (and sometimes IN) beds intended for human beings only. I would like to know if it is possible to specify non-dog rooms.

The large notice in French on the reception says "Bienvenue chez vous" which could translate as "Welcome home". The B & B literature stresses "friendly staff with a smile on their face, there to help... a quality welcome is a priority". UTTER RUBBISH ...COMPLETEMENT FAUX was the experience of my wife on I on checking in at the B & B hotel at Deols, near Chateauroux The oldish man on reception (and I speak fluent French) was unfriendly, disinterested and initially claimed that there was no reservation (I prebooked online and I showed him the paperwork). Also a completely unwelcoming attitude and this man would not try to make small talk even though he did not appear busy. He just gave the key number but no advice as to floor, the number nor where to walk to gain access. Later he was rude when I queried only finding one towel - his response "just look all over the room" and yes he was correct, there was one hidden in a corner outside the bathroom but politeness was very lacking. When I simply asked if Wifi was available in the hotel - the reply was that he was only on reception and I should not ask him any other questions. GOOD POINTS: comfortable bed, clean, good shower, friendly cleaning lady next morning, reasonable breakfast, free parking next to hotel. There are eating places within a short walking distance but beware of opening times. NOT GOOD POINTS: Awful rude male receptionist on arrival, loose shower plate in bathroom, cooked breakfast food at 08h10 not very warm, the woman on reception spent much time speaking to another (staff?) person in the dining area - obviously not her job to consider who should wipe down the breakfast tables from crumbs, coffee stains etc. The room was not very large but for a budget hotel, perhaps not unexpected. Not uncommon but heard noise from people in the corridor near to our room. Single pillows, and towels of just enough drying quality for one shower My wife and I have stayed in numerous B & B hotels in the past in France but this was the WORST experience of any B & B hotel - mainly due to the grumpy unwelcoming man on reception. I am willing to accept that all of us perhaps can have bad days - but sorry I cannot overlook this experience. B & B management hopefully might take note that politeness and a friendly attitude are very important if they wish to retain customers who in turn (such as now) go on to repeat their hotel stay to other travellers!

We had stayed in this hotel and it was good to see it had been refreshed and was looking good. The room was very hot on our arrival so we switched off the heater and opened the window. After going out for a meal we returned and were greeted by the receptionist who was very pleasant. The only thing I could say was the new mattress was very hard( I know these are an individual thing) We would stay here again as it’s close to the motorway for a quick getaway in the morning Thanks to all staff
