      It seems that a Toyoko Inn review needs to start with an understanding that Toyoko's are inexpensive business hotels that are functional and convenient. And this is how they should be evaluated. Second, it is important to understand the difference between an inexpensive hotel and a "cheap" hotel. Toyoko's are not cheap. They are clean, safe, and professional. US citizens would be surprised and impressed. This Toyoko stands out because of helpful staff (staff are pretty consistently helpful at all Toyoko's) and spoke English quite well. The breakfast was clearly a notch above other Toyoko's. Examples during the 3 days we were there: rice with shimeji mushnrooms, soba with mizuna, tamagoyaki, juice (in some but not all Toyoko's), rice porridge and curry, in addition to the staples. Within a minute, you can shop at the bus terminal gift shop that has a lot to offer even if small, and a block behind the hotel is a hardware store. The proximity to the train station makes this a highly desirable hotel not just to visit the city but also the surrounding area.

      Honeymoon trip to Japan. Absolutely beautiful location. Very friendly and helpful staff, limited English but had a voice translator that worked great. Room was traditional and comfortable and staff even brought up our luggage and made up the beds during our private hot spring time. Private hot spring was super relaxing next to the waterfall and would recommend for couples. Dinner on the waterfall was spectacular multi course meal with a fantastic atmosphere. Warning for Americans, it is a very traditional style of food but highly recommend giving everything at least a try. Women can rent a nicer yukata and there are multiple colors, patterns, and sizes. Take a taxi from the train station, navigating the bus and shuttle without speaking Japanese is a little tricky, save yourself the hassle. By far our favorite place we stayed in Japan and would highly recommend to other couples or those looking to have a relaxing time outside of the big cities.

Higashiyama Onsen is adjacent to the city, so it runs to Higashiyama Onsen hot spring to be troubled. The entrance of the hot spring was remembered immediately, but the location of the hotel? I found a sign with a "moon light" at the entrance of the hot spring town, but even if I looked around, there was no signboard. It is far ahead when searching on the net again. If you put out a corner signboard, you want to display the abbreviation and distance. Yes. Check-in is smooth even in the net reservation just before.
