It's the first time for me staying at this hotel. Staff at front desk were very friendly and helpful and gave me all the information I needed. Rooms are of a nice size and has everything your need. Cleaning and laundry service is excellent. Everybody is friendly and chatty and it makes the atmosphere really nice. I feel like home. There's a couple of nice bar areas. One on the roof top and on the ground level. Gets a bit busy on Thursdays and Fridays... Staff found out it was my birthday and they went out of their way to make sure I had a nice day. I really appreciated that. Thank you every body for making my stay so pleasant. I will be back.

This tower is relatively new and more cost-effective than the one in the city. But it is far away, and you have to take a taxi. There is a shopping mall nearby but nothing to buy. Close to the archaeological field, it is worth a visit. Once I arrived at the hotel, I was upgraded to a good room. feels good. The room was a bit hot, and the air conditioner had been on for a long time before it was cool. The bath water is not too big, but it can be washed. Breakfast is OK, Arabic food, can eat, but not suitable for Chinese stomach.

The Ayla Grand was a very pleasant surprise and we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay. There is an underground car park. Reception was friendly and efficient. In fact, all members of staff were excellent throughout. Our standard room (202) was extremely spacious, comfortable and well-equipped, with superb lighting and a particularly generous bathroom. The room included tea/coffee-making facilities and reliable wi-fi. The gym is superbly equipped and shares top-floor space with rooftop pools and the Sky5 café. There are good views from there, especially at sunset. We didn’t have dinner in the hotel but enjoyed a wide-ranging breakfast menu in the attractive Arla restaurant. Be aware that the hotel is “dry”. Fancy a beer after a long hot day? Tough! At least there’s a good selection of non-alcoholic cold drinks. We hope to get back to the Ayla Grand on our next visit to Abu Dhabi, later this year, and are very happy to recommend it.

Just arrived home after a night here with my wife and two toddlers (1 and 3). Loved everything about it. We got an incredible deal with full board. We arrived about 3 hours prior to normal check in time, which wasn’t an issue and were offered a room upgrade. The next day we asked when check out was, they told us it was at noon but also offered us a late check out with no charge. Food After check in we went straight to ‘flavours’ for lunch. Buffet starters and desserts, with a la carte mains (as it was very quiet- usually it’s buffet). All was lovely and staff were attentive and offered soft drinks (which we didn’t realize were included in full board). They also offered options for the kids. Dinner and breakfast the next day were even better, with loads of live cooking options. Everything tasted great, particularly the curry at dinner, the bread was super fresh (which I think is a good measure of a place), freshly squeezed juice at breakfast (literally in front of you) and service was great. Often full board options are naff buffets, this was far from that. Absolutely outstanding. Room A little dated but nice enough and clean. Comfy bed and a fold out bed for my son. No balcony furniture, but they brought stuff upon request (otherwise we would have had to go to bed when the kids did). Facilities Loads going on, but with small kids we only really used the family pool and play area. Both which are located next to each other, which is ideal. Pool is fab. Was set to 30oC I think, felt just right. The main attraction was the slide which our 3 year old loved. The pool itself had various depths which was great for our little ones and a small kids pool which didn’t have anything in it, but the kids loved to splash about in. Decent play area and swings next to the pool, great to give the kids a bit of variety. Other We were in two minds about coming to stay as we are in the midst of Coronavirus, with more advice and restrictions everyday, but once we got here, we were glad we did. The place was clean and they were doing their best to disinfect loungers etc and had thermal screening on the entry to the hotel. Pool bar was closed, but the main bar had a decent happy hour from noon till 5pm. Overall a brilliant, brilliant family stay, which was incredible value for money. Will definitely return, probably very soon!

Our friends booked to go here and suggest we try the hotel also. We arrived Fri afternoon for one night. Polite and friendly staff and wonderful location are sadly let down by Mercure management who seem to have let this place rot and crumble. Even for covid standards the menu was poor and limited at the only two restaurants open, pool bar and Belvedere. If you're happy with simple microwaved snack food then you will be fine here. After already booking direct and stating we were a family with daughter who needed her own bed we were emailed a price for our room which changed when we arrived and they tried to charge us for the extra bed which on phone and be email we had been assured would be fine no extra cost and bed would be set up. We rang a couple of times to ask for this bed which finally turned up in the evening but were chasing towels for our hotel room till the next morning and ended up using our pool towel we brought up. I can't fault the staff they seemed run into the ground and extremely minimal numbers and seemed equally frustrated with the poor organisation and management of the hotel as the guests were. The Belvedere restaurant is the only choice for evening food if you're not by the pool. We waited over an hour for food in a not even full restaurant. Our daughter was so hungry by this time that we cancelled our order so we could try to at least get her a pizza back at the pool bar. After many apologies (not by any management I may add), we finally got served food that was half cold and the rest looked dry and overcooked. Our other friends who stayed at the hotel didn't even get breakfast the next day as the queue was so long for getting in and their children were getting upset. They ended up having to eat at the pool bar and order and wait for non breakfast snack foods to have instead. The old saying 'you get what you pay for' would apply but we didn't get a specially great rate or anything so if you're happy to go and pay dirt cheap for basic food and amenities it will be OK I guess. Just to add we had chatted to reception about the issues but nobody seemed interested in rectifying complaints.

There could be nothing better than to enjoy your night stay at a hotel when you are not outside exploring Al Ain. Ayla Bawadi has drawn me several impressions, but ofcourse like another hotel, there are few things that need to be looked at for improvements. I will start with the Pros that are only based on my opinion and experience. One main reason why I chose Ayla Bawadi is the fact that although it is located 7-8kms away from the city, it is just a walk away from Bawadi Mall (not to mention Ikea a few meters walk too!). One always finds it a clear advantage when hotels are near a mall rather than not. The car park is just at the forefront of the hotel, so expect no basement parking nor vallet parking. Good thing is the parking area is covered with shades so no need to worry with the scorching heat of the sun. The hotel is likewise just approximately 13 few kms away from Jebel Hafeet. From the hotel, you can already view the mountain side from afar and it looks better at night. The 6 year old hotel offers a variety of health facilities which include Massage spa, Gym, Sauna and Jakuzzi (which i have enjoyed a lot). The rooms are tidy and well maintained. By the way, I stayed in a standard room which comes with breakfast. The comfort rooms are provisioned completely with vanity kits. The food are not bad at all and although there are not many choices, to be honest, I walked out of the dining with my belly full and satisfied. The pool is at regulated temperature. I am not a fan of cold water and I prefer to really swim on beaches at summer. But I honestly enjoyed the outdoor pool. Current safety measures only allow 4 people at a time to swim while only one for Jakuzzi and two for Sauna rooms. I am not going away without saying that somehow, the management should give a thought of the following: 1. Shower was not working in my room. I didn’t bother to complain though but I have raised with the receptionist. 2. Provision of two pairs of slippers could be helpful rather than requesting for one more. 3. Timely room preparation as I waited for more almost 2 hours before my room was prepared (fortunately I had to go out for a tour). 4. Could add more food choices. 5. I was able to connect my wifi from an interconnecting room without needing another username and password. Overall for a standard room that has no window view, limited food choices, I consider the price of AED 306 to be a reasonable price for the fact that, the hotel has an upperhand on facilities and a mall to top it all.
