It is not the first time we stay in this room in the outskirts of Rome from the very good price quality. The hotel is very friendly and welcome to the reception and the staff are available. Breakfast varies both sweet and salty (for the salt you need to ask, but it is still included in the overall cost. The buffet staff is nice and available. They offer the possibility to leave the car in a garage at a cost really low And they are always kind to allow you to leave for a few hours more after check out, for a last visit to the city. Metropolitan comfortable at 2-3 minutes. We are always happy to return.

The hotel is very close to the subway and it is a few steps away. Although the hotel is not in the city center, it is very convenient to go anywhere. The room is very clean, cleaned every day, and the hot water is very big. The mattress was very comfortable, the staff was very friendly, the lobby had a microwave and there were two large supermarkets at the door. Quiet at night, except for the last day, the guests next door at night were a bit noisy. I should stay here again next time.

My rating for this hotel is actually 3.5. The hotel is advertised as a 4* which is fair but I’d say not quite there. We had room 108 which was located on the ground floor down two small flights of stairs. The room was lovely for what we needed, but a little on the basic side. A bit more furniture would have been nice (drawers to store things etc), the air con didn’t work, which wasn’t too bad this time of year, but in the summer air con that pumps out hot air wouldn’t have been ideal and the mini fridge didn’t cool, just stayed at room temp. There was a bit of damp on the bathroom wall too which is to be expected based on the size of the bathroom, but generally the bathroom was near spotless. I would’ve liked some liquid had soap too as I find the bar soap to be very drying to use (personal opinion as I suffer from dry skin on my hands). The staff were lovely and very attentive from the moment we walked in, to the moment we checked and the housekeeping lady was no different. The reception staff also allowed us to leave the keys for the day while we visited the city as they do not use card keys, and the chains are like mini paperweights. We had breakfast included too within the cost, which again was very basic, just standard continental, but had everything you need to start the day. Overall the room was very clean, staff were great and the stay was nice. The hotel was also a short walk from Conca d’Oro metro station, which made getting around so much easier, but a decent pair of walking shoes is a must as the area is very hilly (so much so we opted for lime scooters to get us up most days). If you’re looking for a nice little hotel for a few days away, I would definitely recommend, the area looked like it had a couple of nice local bars too and there is a small supermarket outside the metro station which is handy for picking up a few Italian snacks for the day ahead.

      Near the Vatican City
The hotel is small, the breakfast environment and the room layout are bright and simple. Just the quilt and the towel are a bit old; the bathroom is bigger, but there is no place to put things. We stayed in the room facing the street, very embarrassing. The soundproofing in the building is normal, and the sound of going up and down the building is heard. Opposite the road is the main entrance of the Vatican Museum, the visit is more convenient, not too far to find a restaurant, but people who are afraid of it are not recommended to stay. Hang 4 stars and give 3.5 stars.

Rest in this hotel in March 2019. Then I read a bunch of horrible reviews , but I wasn't scared because the location is beautiful. I work in the tourism agency myself and know a lot of hotels this year. But here you need to just answer the question of what you want, not complain afterwards that everything is not as you would like. Do you want a tough condition - pay more) 1. The location is better not to come up, and this is the main thing in a city like Rome where the purpose of the trip is to see as much as possible. 2. Rooms: very good for 3*, There are better, but much worse too:) Comfortable beds, TV, decent plumbing, safe - free. 3. Clean well, every day change towels, bed changed 3 times a week) 4. Wi-fi works perfectly, not only in the room, but on any floor of the hotel. 5. The hotel is in an old building and there has been no repair for a long time, but something repulsive and terrible there is definitely no) 6. Breakfasts are for 3* excellent, coffee from the machine, but taste more than in 5* Cuba hotels: ) unreally tasty baking, delicious than in cafes on the street and very fresh, baked right there, a little sausage, cheese, chips and fruit salad. 7. Staff - well, here on whom you get

Imagine: you spent 24 hours running between airports. The airport loses your bags, which contain all of your shoes, clothes and toiletries. You ask yourself, is there any way for the day to get worse? And then you realize you don’t have service abroad, so you will have to guess where you’re going, unable to get an Uber. Not to mention your card also doesn’t work. I took a train to Termini and walked to the hotel. It was supposed to be a 15 minute walk, but I hadn’t eaten or drank since the night before; the walk to the hotel took an hour. Upon arrive, I meet Sami/ Sammy. I’m disheveled, upset, tired, and really having the worst day imaginable for me. I have spent the last hour walking in crocs with a backpack on, in sweatpants, and Sammy immediately greets me with “oh you’re the famous one!” And kept telling me how everyone knows me, I’m famous, he can’t wait to see the review! I’m from Midwest, US. The closest to famous I’ve been is the I80 truck stop. It made my day. I had had this awful day, and Sammy took the time to make me smile and laugh. He was considerate and kind. The boy making espresso was kind as well, keeping water out while I studied and giving me a shot of espresso to start the day! I will be staying here again. And I hope Sammy gets the recognition he deserves because he is the reason I did not change my flight home to today.

Breakfast is good, especially the scrambled eggs are very tender, but I do n’t know that the fruit is bitter, but in fact it is still very rich. It is convenient to live next to the subway and train. There is no pressure to travel, and there is a lot of food around. Basically all in place, but also helped us to devise suggestions for the best transportation to the airport, in short, it is recommended

I booked my trip to Rome in an emergency for personal business during turbulent time at the height of second Covid19 wave. Hotel Giotto Flavia was reasonably priced and checked off everything I was anticipating for a comfortable stay. The Hotel management had taken all precautions and were constantly in communication to ensure I checked in safely and comfortably while maintaining social distancing. Next morning the Property Manager personally greeted me to ensure that everything was in order. He was really friendly and was gracious enough to explain the city map which allowed me to design a travel path that ensured I was able to shop from the best stores on a budget, see the major tourist attractions within the first few days and attend my business appointment comfortably. Because of this reason I was able to develop a list of experiences tourists miss out on due to short stay vacations and started checking off those. The hotel was ideally located within walking distance of Termini station which aided in my travel plans. I also told the Property Manager that if I had to avoid quarantine upon my return to my resident country I would need to perform a PCR test. As some of the laboratories in Rome I initially contacted were booked, he continued to check up on my appointment status and hotel management were gracious enough to book an appointment for me at another laboratory. This personal service took most of the stress out of travelling in such volatile times. I requested that breakfast be served to me at 8 AM so I can be out in the city within a couple of hours and the breakfast would be served at exactly 8 AM each day. I would usually return to the hotel around 1-2 PM for a short break/lunch and would always find the hotel room spotless and mini bar stocked with my favorite beverages as requested. If you want to have a comfortable stay with good hotel service, at an ideal location in Rome at competitive prices you should definitely consider Hotel Giotto Flavia.

Reduce your expectations. This is not a 4 star hotel, and I don't know how it got this rating. We stayed in better 3 star hotels. The only saving grace, was Katie, on reception, who went out of her way to assist us. The entrance, as noted on other reviews, is shared with two other hotels. This shared street entrance, was dirty and shabby, whereas the first floor entrance to the 'hotel' was better maintained. It didn't seem like a hotel, rather one floor with bedrooms, having a small reception/check-in area and a separate breakfast area. The bathroom was very small, fitted with a large 'jacuzzi' shower which looked promising but the basic shower itself had a faulty dial, which meant that when I turned it, whilst in the shower, to an 'off' position, I couldn't get it back on. A maintenance man, eventually came and just 'strong armed' it around again and looked at me as if I had two heads. Neither I or my husband could turn the dial. I noted on other reviews that the showers can give problems. The bedroom area was fine, except, that while it it had mugs and coffee sachets, it had no kettle ! Neither was there a mirror in the bedroom.. the only one being in the bathroom. As for toiletries-- basic and minimal... not what you would expect in a 4 star hotel. So glad, we were only staying there one night.

When you check in, the handsome guy at the front desk will give you a map, tell you the strategy and precautions, and show you the room and access control. The location is super convenient. It takes five minutes to walk to the Republic Square subway station, 10 minutes to the railway station, two bus stops or 15 minutes to walk to the Colosseum. Security issues, the sense of security is overwhelming. Opposite the hotel is the government building. The police are on guard. We arrived at the hotel around 11am and stated check in was not until 2pm, however they allowed us to have an earlier check in - which was amazing as Rome was in the middle of a scorching heatwave and we had a traumatic morning at Stansted airport. The rooms and hotel itself are lovely, modern and clean. Plenty of towels, secure, and a smart TV which pleased our 10yo in the evening. It is so close to the Termini, so always easy to find if travelling around Rome by bus or taxi. Breakfast was really good, with lots of choice. Staff were friendly yet quiet (which I prefer!) and were very accommodating in booking us taxis. We also sat down in the gorgeous courtyard every evening and they kindly bought us out wine glasses as we had purchased a lovely wine on our travels which we wanted to enjoy. I have recommended this hotel to all of my friends & family due to the location & hospitality of the staff. I would stay here again without doubt.

A chance few nights break in Rome took us to this hotel on the weekend of the Rome Marathon. We had landed with no plans but booked bed and breakfast accommodation whilst we had a quick look round the city. On arrival at the airport we took a fast train to the main railway station, it was about 20 minutes walk from there. We googled the taxi fare which enabled us to dodge any unregistered taxies, so we used a proper taxi at a much reduced rate to the touts at the station. Hotel reception was clean and tidy, members of staff had an excellent grasp of the English language and quickly saw us to our room. This was tidy, very clean and comfortable with a balcony overlooking the building opposite. Note on the top floor there is a roof garden overlooking the Colosseum and many other buildings. We slept well in our room. Breakfast was continental style with an option of scrambled egg if you wanted it, a very good start to the day. Going out into the town, just around the corner from the hotel is a small cafe selling ”Italian Street Food” here we tried our first authentic Bolognese and Lasagna, delicious and with a beer each it was about €10. We went back a couple more times. Visiting the Colosseum and other sites. We could have explored for a fortnight and not discovered everything. After being approached by several touts we discovered that the best way to buy tickets is online at the official site. Our tickets enabled us to visit the previously unaccessible, recently opened under arena area as well as acting as passes for other sites over the next couple of days. This was an amazing experience, looking up through the floor where the gladiators had stood thousands of years ago. Our guide was also very amiable and answered all questions, also giving us time to stop and take in the ambiance. We have come to the conclusion that sightseeing in Rome was an adventure and we'd definitely do this again. Food, there are many nice places to eat in Rome to suite all budgets (ours was small). Ice Cream, gelato, the couple we had were home made and second to none. On booking out day our flight was in the evening, reception held our bags with no problem. In order that we didn't have to take another train or random taxi they ordered one for us which was a set price of €50. This was a similar cost to our previous train tickets and taxi fare combined. We left our bags, did some more exploring then went back to a waiting taxi, couldn't have gone smoother. Journey time using a single taxi was a little shorter than having to go and find a train, tickets, etc and thorough recommend. Just not sure how to get one of these deals from the airport to the hotel. Covid Pass and mask, we were continually asked for these throughout our trip, so I screenshot my NHS pass for their scanners to save logging in every time we went somewhere new. Our hotel reception made us feel welcome, breakfast room staff were all very attentive and when we asked cleaning staff questions they were only

It is the most satisfying hotel in my European travel for more than ten days. The decoration is very delicate and the breakfast is very delicate! I like it very much, shopping is very convenient, and all the snacks and drinks in the mini bar will not be charged extra.

We had booked in for 4 nights and stayed only one. Town House 62 advertises itself as having luxury rooms. DO NOT believe the pictures or the descriptions. This accomodation is set in an old office that has been converted and actually reminded me of modern student accommodation. It is 5 rooms off one small corridor with a private room that is a kitchen where breakfast is put together. On checking in we couldn't help notice that the room was very dark and remained so even after opening the shutters. There was also a very stuffy smell. On opening the window we observed that the advertised courtyard view actually looked onto the rear of a cafe and the bins, etc. Luxury is not what I would describe this as. Basic would be a better description. There was a hole in the bathroom door, the leather bench was torn and the finish of the decoration was poor with paint on the tiles, etc. There was also quite a lot of dust on top of the shower, hairdryer, TV, etc. which you do not expect in a room described as luxury. The room was also quite compact with little room either side of the bed. There were 2 coffee pods for the coffee machine and the ”minibar” had a bottle of water, 1 beer, 1 coke, 1 fruit juice. On our first (and last) night we were disturbed by noise from the staff of the cafe below emptying the bins and chatting (even with the window closed). We were then woken by other guests returning to their rooms as the the wooden floors in the corridor were obviously noisy and the rooms are far from soundproofed. We were later woken by a baby crying in one of the other rooms, which was obviously not the childs fault but highlighted how thin the walls between rooms were. Finally we were yet again disturbed by the staff arriving (06:45 approx) and proceeding to clatter dishes around in the adjacent kitchen. On deciding that we did not want to risk ruining our holiday any more we sought alternative accommodation. When we spoke to the member of staff to say we were checking out they did not even ask why and didn't seem to care. When I explained to them that we had hardly slept the response was, ”That's not our problem”. They refused to provide a refund when I asked for 50% of what we had paid and then had the cheek to ask us to pay the city tax, even though they had been paid for 4 nights and we were staying only 1. Positives? The location is good for the Vatican and the shower was powerful, although having had a shower in the evening we were faced with damp towels in the morning as the heated towel rail wasn't heated. We thankfully found a simple, clean, quiet apartment which meant we had a good break but I could not recommend this accommodation in any way.

      Trevi Fountain Surrounding
The hotel is in a good location, 2 minutes walk to Renaissance Department Store and 5 minutes to Plaza Espanya. The front desk, concierge and other staff are also responsible. Minus items: 1 The standard room booked is the smallest room on the same floor. 2 Personally think the room sanitation is not up to standard, the carpets and walls are very dirty, this is no longer a problem of room cleaning 3 The air conditioner is not cooling, and the bathroom heating is also not cooling. Hot water is sometimes not available, and it is not for a long time. You can only use the built-in kettle to boil your face.

Spent 4 nites vacationing with family in Rome. This hotel is located in a great area. The Spanish Steps are a short 3 minute walk, a small grocery store located just again a 3 minute walk. Many restaurants and small shops are close by. The hotel and its staff are very attentive, and a full of information so just ask, more than willing to assist. The hotel itself is situated on a quiet street almost unassuming. Rooms are very comfortable and offer everything you would require after exploring the streets of Rome. The gentleman who works the breakfast is professional, we enjoyed the breakfast and the Coffe was delicious with the warm milk served. Would definitely stay here again if we find ourselves visiting Rome.

The hotel is very beautiful and the room is very hygienic. The first floor is arranged for us, and there is a small courtyard at the entrance. The hot water is very comfortable and the bed is comfortable. Breakfast is OK, both are very sweet breads and drinks. The service staff is also very friendly. The only fly in the ointment is that we booked the shuttle bus to the city center the next day. Before I left, I confirmed that the car was at the end of the Colosseum. The driver confirmed it. But halfway through, the driver put us down and said a lot of Italian that I don't understand, as if it was a martial law in the city center. In any case, we should inform us in advance, instead of throwing us down halfway.

We have just stayed at the hotel for 6 nights. It was very clean and comfortable and we found the staff very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast on the roof terrace was a lovely start to each day; as was the plentiful supply of food! The hotel is in a great location as it only takes about 15 minutes to walk to The Coliseum or the Metro. We would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at the Hotel San Valentino for a week while vacationing in Rome. The staff is professional, friendly, and very helpful. I received many good ideas for restaurants and transportation from them. My room was clean and spacious; housekeeping was always on top of things and friendly. The TV and air conditioning were stellar, and the room had a small refrigerator and safe. Next door to the hotel is a nice little neighborhood cafe that I loved, and restaurants and pizzerias of various caliber and price are scattered around the vicinity. The entire area feels more like “normal” Rome than “tourist” Rome, which I found appealing. The hotel is one small block away from the Lepanto Metro stop. I regularly hopped on the Metro and traveled a few stops to have lunch or dinner near the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, even Piazza de Popolo. (Still can’t figure out why Piazza de Popolo isn’t packed with tourists, btw; Santa Maria de Popolo Church is gorgeous, and a few Euros will get you a quick snack or lunch of arancini at nearby cafes.) San Valentino’s proximity to the Metro station is only one of its conveniences. A front desk staff member was kind enough to point out a city bus line that stops at about the same location as the Lepanto Metro stop; I used the bus to get to the center of Trastevere for 1.5 Euro. In addition, the Vatican Museums and St. Peter’s Basilica aren’t far by foot. I’m a bit decrepit, so it felt like a long slog, but I made the hike at least twice, so it’s do-able. (You can travel from the Lepanto Metro stop to the Ottaviano stop, which cuts the distance to the Vatican a bit, but I didn’t feel it was worth 1.50E to travel one quick subway stop.) For the record, the San Valentino is adhering to Italy’s strict covid protocols. You’ll be able to pick out the hotel’s entrance from the end of the block by spotting the hand sanitizer that sits on a little stand just outside the door.
