Updated rooms are beautiful and clean which are phenomenal and much more inviting then they used to be. Shower has excellent water pressure and it's very comfortable to shower in there. The bed was my favorite part, it was very comfy I woke up with no back pain. Staff was very friendly and kind to us. They without any issue, accepted my service dog onto their premises. The only minor downfall is how strict some of the rules are however everything else makes the stay worth the money!!

The biggest advantage of the hotel is that it is close to Lake Tahoe and built next to the lake. The lake is a beach and the lake is super clean. Others have no advantages. The room is small, reference to the size of the country for 7 days; no bathtub; there is a fireplace; when I came, it was not the peak season, the guests were few, the room was thick and gray when I checked in, and there was still gray on the furniture for the next few days; there was no breakfast. If you have to say one more advantage, the coffee provided in the room is a Starbucks bag, but it is not good.

Very large hotel with all the facilities. The rooms are large and comfortable. There is a free breakfast and the quality is good. It is very suitable for family discharge. The area around the hotel is very convenient, ski resorts, shopping centers, food, ice skating rinks, hypermarkets, cinemas are all very close. However, the disadvantage is that the pickup time is slightly longer, and the indoor air conditioning noise is a bit loud.

The two-bedroom and one-living room are very large. The rooms are well-equipped. The hotel is the most satisfying. The parents are also satisfied. There are three bathrooms in the three houses. The rooms are private and have a family gathering feeling. There is a supermarket next to it. The hotel is a resort nature. There are many entertainment facilities inside the hotel. Starbucks pizza and burger restaurants are very convenient. Parking is required. Please ask my little brother for 29 dollars a day.

The hotel is located at the southern end of Lake Tahoe. It is extremely convenient to watch the sunrise and sunset. The hotel service is quite satisfactory. The rooms have kitchen supplies. They are suitable for making simple meals, especially for families and families with children. High cost performance.

The rooms are very clean and comfortable, the decoration is quite new, but there is no peculiar smell; although it is not very big, it can be opened completely. When we went there, it was cooling down, but the air conditioner was very warm, so it felt very warm, but the noise was still a bit loud, so I turned it off before going to bed and added a layer of quilt. The bathroom is also very clean, the space is also large, the hot water is very hot, and the bath is very relieved! Parking is also free. The hotel is in the South Lake Tahoe area, you can walk to the lake across the street, and you can see the starry sky at night. In short, it exceeded expectations!

We booked breakfast without breakfast. It is very suitable for bringing children. Next door to our room is a family of three with children. There is also an outdoor swimming pool. There are not many people swimming, but unfortunately there is no swimsuit, just We are coming from the holiday in the United States. The price of the room is more than 500 RMB higher than usual. Others are good. The self-driving tour can also park the car at the door of the room.

We stayed here on Valentine’s Day weekend. The location is excellent! Walking distance to shops, casinos, restaurants and ski gondola ride to Heavenly. Pros: •Bed is comfortable, comfy sheets and pillow soft •Excellent location •Free hot breakfast (biscuit & gravy, toast, fruit, juice, oatmeal and etc) we didn’t try it...chose to sleep in. •Free parking •Amenities in the room: small bottles of Shampoo, Conditioner, & Lotion, soap bar, hair dryer, iron, iron board, safe, mini refrigerator (no freezer), tv •Dogs allowed •Restaurant on site...X Crows (BBQ this is also the place you get your breakfast) Cons: •Loud!! Bring ear plugs to sleep. You can hear doors closing (more like slamming), dogs barking, people talking outside. Does not have double pain windows •RESTLESS SLEEP!! •Water pressure horrible. Takes a long time for the water to heat. •No pool •No gym •No DVD • Only one outlet by the bed. The nightstand closest to the bathroom did not have an outlet. Had to charge my phone on the desk. •Limited parking even though it is free •No fireplace This place received a cosmetic upgrade but not a construction renovation. There’s a few items that needs to be addressed and can make this place a 5 star. For us if we are waken up every hour of the hour with loud noise, it’s not a hotel we would like to experience again.

My family of 5 (3 kids 11,13,15) stayed here for Spring Break to snowboard at Heavenly. I’ve read the reviews that it is a little dated, and I was a little worried. But this place was awesome! 1) Less than 5 minute walk to the Gondola and Heavenly Village shops and restaurants. I’d say 3, even with kids laden with gear. 2) Free breakfast had tons of yummy choices. Bacon, sausage patties, scrambled and hard boiled eggs, bread (cinnamon raisin toast was a family favorite), bagels, danishes, premade waffles (and syrup of course),fresh fruit, cereals, yogurt, cottage cheese, juices, Starbucks coffee and one “special” - we saw quiche, Belgian waffles with fancy toppings, omelettes and biscuits and gravy. We were warned that things might run out if we got there too late (hours between 6:30 and 8:30). Latest we ate was 7:30, with a big crowd, and everything was plentiful. As a family who has wasted SOOOOO much on hot breakfasts for the kids before we get up on the mountain I cannot rave enough about this great feature! 3) The website and TripAdvisor reviews don’t mention onsite laundry rooms, but they have 3 separate ones in 3 different buildings. Wash was $2. Dry was $1. Hallelujah! 4) Units were spacious - we had a 2 bedroom. Sure, the units and decor are not brand spanking new, but everything is comfortable and functional. Floors are creaky, but REALLY, come on. Kitchen has oven, microwave, full-sized fridge, plenty of dishes and utensils. Grocery store is a 5 minute walk. A little lean on cookware. We had a big pot, small pot, and very small frying pan, but I have no doubt they would have helped us out if we asked for anything else. Also, the beds were REALLY comfortable - and I am very picky. 5) Wine and cheese reception every night from 4-5 was fun FREE! and always well attended. 6) The kids enjoyed foosball and “basketball” in the game room off the lobby. They also have board games and Xbox games. 7) Pool is closed during the winter, but the family enjoyed the hot tub, which was clean and big enough for at least 6. All in all, I would highly recommend this place to anyone - especially families. We’ve stayed at higher end condos at other ski areas, and I would prefer this experience to anything else we’ve encountered. And the price is terrific. Hope to return next year, as long at there is snow at Heavenly!!!!

This hotel is the most cost-effective one since coming to the United States so many times! For skiing friends, this hotel is the best choice. The location is right next to the Heavenly Ski Resort, about 2 minutes' walk. The hotel has a parking service, free of charge, and of course free tip. The price of more than 200 RMB per night is super value, and there is no one and only one! The room is large, at least it can accommodate 4 people, the room is a big bed, the living room is a sofa bed, there is a spa bath between the room and the living room that can accommodate three or four people, the room is clean, the microwave and refrigerator are complete, the lobby front desk also helps me Print documents for free, friendly staff, and take the initiative to introduce how to rent skis. Can I give 10 stars!

Reasonable clean, located near stuff, but still needs driving. The surprise was that there's no AC. Generally this place is livable but could use quite a few updates and refreshes. Rooms are smaller than usual but worked fine for a one night stay.

The Alder Inn is well located just a ten minute walk to Lake Tahoe and the Ski Run Marina which is where the Safari Rose cruises depart. See my separate review. I also took a bus trip around the lake which has a pick up at a bus stop outside the Lake Tahoe Vacation Resort. My room had a very comfortable bed, a small refrigerator and tea and coffee provisions. In short, it has all you need. It was too cold to use their pool but they have a well heated jacuzzi available year round. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, including a Whole Foods so you don’t need to drive. Getting to the Alder Inn from Reno Airport if you don’t want to drive is a cinch. You take the South Tahoe Airporter to Lakeside and get a Lyft/Uber the rest of the way which takes 10 minutes. Book your return bus trip from MontBleu which is their last casino drop-off. This avoids having to sit on the bus as they do drop-offs and pick-ups. I’m so glad I didn’t base myself at the casinos. They’re nowhere near as close to the actual lake and they reminded me of the tacky parts of Niagara Falls! The Alder Inn was better priced, is in a superior location and the management was great with customer service/email inquiries etc. Lastly, Lake Tahoe is so worth the visit. Don’t miss it!

I reserved a two bedroom suite with one of the rooms having two queens for 3 nights. The room itself was spacious and well stocked. It had all the amenities we were looking for and more! There were 5 of us staying in the room and we felt like there was plenty of space. The real strength of this place is the location if you ski Heavenly. You can walk directly to the gondola. In addition, if you are staying at the Marriott, the rental shop will hold your rentals at the gondola. In addition, you are located in a great area with tons of shops and restaurants. The casinos are about a 5-10 minute walk. I'm not sure there is a better located hotel in South Lake Tahoe. Some of the people in our group did a massage and liked it. In addition, others joined the ballroom dancing class they had and also enjoyed that. I do think it is strange that they charge for DVD rentals to their guests. It seems like that should be complimentary. As a Platinum member, I got a few bonus points on check in, but otherwise not really any benefits. They sent an email before and were very upfront about it though. I would definitely stay here again.

We need a room that night when my friend check in and ask them if they can accommodate us. The guys was really nice and even give us same rate with my other friend. He said he feel bad since we have baby. The bed is comfy. But overall thank you for having us when we don’t have place to stay since Days Inn messes up on us

I booked this hotel because it was advertised at a really great price and it was in a great location but was a bit nervous after reading the previous reviews. I'm not sure if there are new owners but I was so happy with my three night stay. I had asked for a room with two queen beds, they both had separate rooms within my room for privacy which was perfect, both had tvs. There was a table with chairs, a closet space for storage and a bathroom. The hotel is close to a supermarket, a cafe and it within walking distance to the lake. The hotel had coffee available, which I didn't try, but it didn't offer any breakfast options which I didn't mind because of the nearby cafe. There was lots of parking out the front of the hotel but I was mostly pleased with the cleanliness considering the previous reviews. This was one of the cleanest hotels in this price range that I have stayed in. The linen and bathroom were clean, I have no complaints at all about the cleanliness and I would happily stay here again! The service was great and the wifi was fast as well. The picture is of the room that was off from the main room.

Me and a friend of mine had car trouble leaving our trip to Tahoe and had to find a last minute place to stay so the car could get fixed. I I didn’t have great internet and it was getting late so I booked Alpine Inn on Booking.com. It was a reasonable price for a Friday night and the pictures and reviews on that site were good. Boy were we fooled!!!! We arrived around 7 pm and were horrified when we saw the outside condition of the place. The pool was drained and dirty, people were loitering outside the property who didn’t belong there, and it looked nothing like the pictures on the booking.com website. We knew we needed a place to stay so we went to the lobby... well, the guy (David) wouldn’t let us into the lobby but instead had us come to the barred windows (I should have just turned around after seeing the bars). David gave us a key to our room and we decided to check it out. We opened the door and the room was clearly being used by another desk (beds unmade, suitcases in the room, clothes everywhere). Irritated, we went to the front desk and told David that the room was already occupied and that we were getting nervous about staying here. I mean, what it he gave someone else OUR room key and they just walked in? So, he gave us room 110. We walked to our room and opened it. Upon inspection we found that the chain lock was broken (the only security if someone were to try and get in our room). At this point we were done. We went back to David and waited for another guest to complain about finding black hairs on his bed and old food in the fridge. We kindly told David that we did not feel safe staying at this property and we asked for a refund. He adamantly refused and told me, “ people like you come here every weekend expecting to be at a nice property for $200 a night and ask for your money back when you realize what get.” I joke, the guy said, “you people”. My friend and I (two girls) felt very unsafe with staying at the property and decided to just leave and pay the money to stay somewhere else. I ended up paying $500 in hotel fees for one night... Booking.com has been no help and gave us the runaround...My husband called David the next day and he offered him a two night stay. Absolutely NOT! You couldn’t pay me to stay in that place. No matter how desperate you are to get a cheap place in Tahoe, DO NOT STAY HERE. You will instantly regret your decision. I will continue to fight for my money back...
