Its the cheapest Holiday Inn Express in the Edmonton area... now I know why. Its an Average Hotel...and there is nothing wrong with average .Its a clean place which is great, Staff is very nice. The lovely lady serving breakfast in the morning was very nice and helpful. However, the thin walls and the train tracks right outside of the window were a surprise. The tracks are very close to the hotel and trains run all through the night and day, and they are not quiet. The walls are not very insulated as you can hear guests use their washrooms and walk through the halls etc. I also hoped to be able to get something to eat nearby but everything was closed and I had to drive around. Lots of construction in the parking lot so in the future there will be some options for food but not now.. Esso convenience gas station is your walking option. The big bonus is the adjacent gym which does not belong to the hotel but hotel will provide you with a pass which is fantastic as its a fully equipped 24hr gym. Ofcourse the free breakfast is always a selling point of all express locations.

I stayed there for two nights because of the low price in December between Christmas and New Year. And it was then that I found out that that location in Edmonton is actually the HOOD of the city. So if you don't mind that, then go ahead. Price is good for sure. Across the street is a lot of amenities: Walmart, No Frills, Boston Pizza...and located right inside this Travelodge is a Chinese buffet restaurant. The room is clean and renovated. WiFi is strong. Lots of free parking. There's even a church that rents a room in the basement for sunday worship. Breakfast is very simple. There's frozen waffles with a self serve toaster. Fruits, muffins and cereal. Nothing special. The staff are friendly. Hope the above info helps.

I cannot complain about parking, lobby, rooms or breakfast at this hotel. In fact I will say all that is pretty decent here. However, I am shocked about their payment policy at check in. I wonder if other guests noticed what is done. A month ago we stayed here and saw the clerk write our credit card number on a piece of paper. All our cards are chipped cards - this is the year 2020. We told the clerk to immediately block that out. She argued and said its their policy to do so. After some time she did block it out with pen, but in the morning when we checked out we noticed she wrote it on the paper again after we left the counter. Now tonight same situation. Different clerk, but she stated its their policy and refused to check us in unless she wrote the number down. I booked the room using my Wyndham app which has my credit card registered - which the hotel could easily and safely use electronically to verify that I’m good for payment for my stay. The clerk said we must trust them they shred the pieces of paper in the morning. How ridiculous: they have electronic proof that I’m to be trusted and they do not trust me, but I have to blindly trust them while they demonstrate boldly to me in my face that they have no regard for security? This hotel cannot be trusted in this day and age where identity theft and credit card fraud runs rampant. I will personally watch them shredding the paper in the morning, and then hope against all odds that no one copied my card number for personal use over night. I have no choice but to stay here tonight, but this will be the last time.

Stayed here as a staycation with my 2 sons. Due to COVID 19 you have to book a 45 minute pool time- you can't go when you want & for how long. But the pool was great, slide works. The rooms were ok, everything was clean & check in EASY! Staff polite & helpful. Also due to COVID 19 the breakfast has been changed- but disappointing- very disappointing. You get a pre made container, zero choice of anything. In the pre-packed container was an apple (fresh), a walnut muffin (very surprising due to nut allergies), an uncut still half frozen sunflower seed bagel & a yogurt. No choice in anything, no juice, no water etc. I think giving customers a choice would be better & reduce waste. None of us ate the bagel - thankfully no nut allergies so we all ate the muffin. We each got different yogurt flavours.

I booked a suite in this hotel for the location as it was close to my nieces. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice our suite was. The front desk staff were very friendly at check-in and were very helpful with any of our questions and needs throughout our 4 night stay. The suite was very clean and there were no problems. The bed was comfortable and there was a choice of two pillows, one fluffy and the other flatter which I appreciated as I like a flat pillow. We ate at the restaurant and the service was fantastic and the food was great. The housekeepers were very friendly and even as I walked down the hall they would always say hi. I would highly recommend this hotel and for the price it was impressive.

The room was very clean and cozy. The area has lots and lots of restaurants and shops. The location was great for us as we were visiting family in Sherwood Park. The only suggestion I would make is that the staff stocking the complimentary breakfast had trouble keeping up. They were out of coffee and it took about 10 minutes. I was not in a rush so it was no big deal. They were doing their best and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Could be a one time situation.

Our room was sparkling clean. we always had fresh and new towels and kept our room clean and organized. I'd like to commend Katie, whom we met from morning breakfast who went beyond the extra mile. I woke a little late and was in a hurry for a meeting one day so I went to the lobby for a quick breakfast. I was late that Katie was cleaning already the area but still she asked me what I want to eat. She made and prepared what I requested. It felt great to be treated special. I had a great moment to start my day. Also, I had a great experience with Jaemille. We had a small chat while I was checking out but her sincerity for serving others reflects the way she smiles. This hotel have staffs that are not mere employees but friendly people.

The Four Points Sherwood Park facilities were clean and fresh as well as very modern. The guest rooms were clean and well equipped with all amenities. The king suite was excellent for our group to gather for a pre-meeting welcome. The full order off the menu breakfast that was included with our rate was delicious and much appreciated! The location of the hotel was close to the highway and a choice of restaurants.

This is our second visit to this hotel. Always friendly and helpful front desk clerks. The lobby area is always clean. Room is spacious and clean. The room was also quiet. The breakfast that is available is awesome. Always something for everyone. Hot food is just that, hot. Not lukewarm or cold. Breakfast room is spacious and clean. Breakfast room worker is always friendly. There is an exercise room, pool and hot tub if you're interest as well. Shopping is short drive away. If you're in Sherwood Park Alberta it's definitely worth a visit.

This budget motel meets all the requirements, it's very clean and mostly quiet with comfortable beds. The rooms are recently renovated. The staff is friendly and accomodating. Although it can be a little tricky to find your way into the motel it is still right on Calgary Trail S so you can expect heavy traffic noise. There is no available coffee which while sad there is a Tim Hortons just down the street. Ice is available but seems to be a very limited but no ice buckets or anything to put it in. There are also several different restaurants less than 5 minutes away. Although this little motel seems to be fairly busy the staff is happy to make you as comfortable as possible.

I have paid $140.61 total for one night (Thursday to Friday). Pros: - Helpful front desk worker: asking for quiet and clean room she switched the initial room assigned to me with a quieter one on third floor. - Fast and smooth check in process - New or new renovated building with modern interiors - Clean bathroom and good quality soft soap, shampoo etc. (Neutrogena) - Functional and good quality tv set - Good Wi-fi (good speed, easy to connect and sign in) - Clean linen and beds - Big parking lot with a lot of vacant spots. - Breakfast included in price Cons: - The breakfast is included in room price; even the hotel website says under breakfast link that I can choose “over 400 combinations of food”, they offered us only wafers (because apparently was wafers day ????) sweet yogurt, some fruits and average quality coffee.

You can’t be the service and accommodation at this hotel. From our phone call to make reservations, Jesse went to the extra effort to be kind and compassionate to our needs and remained the same during what ended up being 30 days. All of the front desk staff, the cleaning ladies, the maintenance man, the waitresses all ensured that our needs were tended to without hesitation, not to mention the manager who took the time to talk to us and help us out. They all helped us through a very difficult time and we will never forget any of them.

The woman working tonight Feb 20th with fake eyebrows, short stature, dark hair, she is a liar. I hope this hotel doesn't condone her behavior. Two weeks ago I gave this hotel a 5/5 rating. Today it's a negative rating. No one should ever lie to their guests. Upon check in I asked the agent if a king studio was available. She said, "no we're full". I said, the whole hotel is full? I'll pay for the upgrade as the booking is pre-paid via 3rd party. "No, we are full. Ever since the health restrictions were lifted we've been full". This is not true. In fact the underground parking at this hotel tonight has just seven cars so far and it's 9 pm. But the real kicker? I can still book multiple rooms in the king studio category for TONIGHT, and it's 9pm. She also didn't tell me about the underground parking (but I knew about it from my previous visit). And she told me the pool was open but then said "oh it's fully booked". She didn't even mention a possible booking for the morning. Truly unprofessional, and extremely uninviting experience. Also, this particular room they have me in has marks all over the wall as you come in. It looks like a kindergarten class painted the wall. The behavior I experienced from this front desk agent is inexcusable. The hotel manager should contact me to discuss this situation so that it does not happen to others.

So first of all, I originally booked this hotel through air miles and I accidentally hit the back button as I needed to change the nights from 2 to 1. This reset my dates which I did not realize and upon hitting submit I realized instantly I had made a mistake so I called air miles within seconds of making this mistake and I'm a little peeved to say the least because as hard as air miles tried, the hotel wouldn't simply just change the date. I am now out almost 1,000 air miles that air miles is working to get back for me. In the end it worked out and we ended up splitting the hotel with our friend. The location of this hotel was close to WEM which we attended for the Soundwave music festival. The location was probably the only good thing about this hotel - I will not be going back to this hotel if I can help it. The bed were super uncomfortable and our floor was very loud. We could hear every conversation had in the hallway. We ended up leaving a day early and getting an extra night due to the possibility of freezing rain. Our drive was 6 hours so we arrived at about 11 and were in bed by midnight and it was like party central in the hallway. Also at sporadic times our whole room was vibrating... not sure what was going on below us but it was shaking our whole room. Yes, we are party goers but being able to hear conversations in the hallway at midnight when we needed to get some rest before the festival wasn't the best. The bed were also SUPER uncomfortable! I've stayed in 3 star hotels which AMAZING pillows and super comfortable bed! We stayed in a room with two queens. Bring your own pillows if you plan on staying in this room. Also, if you make a mistake in booking, the hotel has a VERY STRICT no cancellation policy even if was seconds after you made the mistake.

We spent one night at the holiday inn while in Edmonton for medical appointments. The location was not awesome as it is near a car dealership and a business park. While we did not like the location. We did enjoy the hotel itself. The pool while small was nice and the family enjoyed a dip in the hot tub. The room is nice and clean and the beds were quite comfortable. Best of all the price was very affordable. However at Tim Hortons next-door you can get a cheap breakfast. The hotel gave free breakfast for the kids if the adults eat at the Ricky’s restaurant on site. Although it was still steep even with the kids meals covered. Overall the hotel serve their needs and we would consider staying there again if we needed to travel to nearby Saint Albert or the West Edmonton Mall.

We stayed at the JW Marriott in Edmonton overnight on October 31, 2020. Having been frequent travellers as a family over the years, we have stayed in Marriott properties all over North America, Europe and Asia. It was an amazing experience to stay at a hotel local to our home town which had the feel of a world class hotel. Right from check-in, we experienced friendly, thoughtful service from Waseem. With our lifetime Titanium Elite status and suite upgrade certificate, we still appreciated the upgraded suite and the next day late check-out. When we told the check-in team that we were staying at the hotel to celebrate our daughter’s 18th birthday, they happily said that there will be a little surprise. We went up to our beautiful suite, which was beautifully appointed and very spacious. The bathroom itself exuded luxury which we have not found in any other hotel in Edmonton so far. My wife said she even appreciated the art in our room, which included something from a local artist depicting the North Saskatchewan river in a creative way; she thought it was special for the hotel to show off a bit of Edmonton. In a short time, a beautiful tray of yogurt parfait, fresh fruit, and a delicious slice of cake was delivered to us, with a special, hand-written card (by Aryan) for our daughter, wishing her a Happy Birthday. She was so thrilled with this gesture, and this marked nicely the beginning of her birthday celebrations. We were excited to participate in a Paint Night at the hotel that evening, which included an Art Tour led by a very knowledgeable Chef Concierge Kyle. Our family was WOWed by this facility in so many ways. Such thoughtful design from the art hanging on the wall, to the shape of the lobby, to echoes of Edmonton’s hockey greats in various public spaces, to beautiful living wall enclaves. And the fitness center!! Extremely spacious with state of the art equipment. Kudos to the design team for this facility for incorporating local flavor and “ice district” highlights in so many beautiful ways. We were in and out of the hotel throughout the stay and every time, greeted enthusiastically from each member of the staff that we walked pass. Chats with Waseem, Aryan and Kyle, comparing notes on various properties around the world, and even sharing bits about our families made this hotel stay unlike any other, so personable and welcoming in every way. This is a hotel that we will definitely return to whenever we want to take future Stay-cations. In fact, we have already recommended this hotel to friends and family. Thank you so much, JW Marriott Edmonton team. You gave us a memorable, fantastic stay.

Overpriced due to the location in West Edmonton mall. Parking is awkward & mostly unavailable at this time of the year so using the valet is a good idea. Absolute mayhem in the lobby and after a lengthy wait there wasn’t even a welcome or hello. It was very noisy & hard to hear or make out what the front desk clerk was saying especially with such a thick accent. People lined up all over the place & frustration ensued with line jumpers. No facilities to speak of as most are at the mall for a cost. We did not have a fantasy room & were located in the “Western” section where the room doors had horses in their stables. The housekeeping staff are very polite & helpful and the room albeit showing it’s age, was spotless. The rooms were quiet, beds are extremely comfortable, great to have a fridge & coffee maker as well. Lighting is awkward and not many outlets for charging. Great checkout time of 1200. Definitely need some updating.

My husband and I stayed for just one night coming from out of town. We had a spacious room on the 6th floor with king bed and large bathroom. Pillowtop mattress was awesome and we slept well. The top floor was quiet, we did not hear anyone, even though the hotel was busy. Hence, we had to park a little ways off the main entrance which was not ideal, but found a side door that provided access closer to the car. Our stay included a hot breakfast (for $95.00/night- great value) and the buffet had plenty to choose from including fresh fruit, cereals, various breads and hot breakfast foods. The staff was very courteous and helpful making sure we had everything we needed during breakfast.

Very satisfied, very clean, free parking, there are two big supermarkets, save on foods and Shoppers, seven or eight minutes walk is the most lively food festival, there are several restaurants with good value for money, it feels like a local online shop. The hotel provides a laundry room, two knives for laundry, two knives for drying, and two knives for washing powder. The little girl at the front desk was very nice and gave a lot of help. The pancake machine in the morning was the most advanced inn that I lived in, and it was automatically clicked. Think of a blank inn in the American Innn who bakes a pie. Of the many hotels I've stayed at for work and/or business, the Tru is one of the best, if not the best for the price. It's clean, modern, friendly, and scaled back to what you really need when travelling, yet I never felt that I lacked a thing. The lobby amenities (games, snack bar, free breakfast, free magazines) were a pleasant addition for us. I stayed with my 9 year old and 3 month old sons and had a great time there.
