My wife and I just came back from Zakynthos where we celebrated her birthday. We wanted a town holiday, not your typical beach holiday. Well the Diana Hotel really didn't disappoint at all ! It's in a fantastic spot right in the prettiest part of the town and near everything you could want. Excellent bars, tavernas, shops and even a cinema are all on the doorstep. Being a town centre hotel the rooms are obviously not large, but they are spotlessly clean (cleaned every day) and the free air-con was a welcome bonus. Of course you can very easily travel to other parts of the island for large beaches etc. All the staff - reception, cleaning, breakfast - are really friendly and always helpful. Thank you to Mariella for my mini Greek lesson every morning over breakfast! For a pair of adults wanting a peaceful break, I would not hesitate in recommending the Diana Hotel. Thank you all, Mark & Kelly

To say the Information given by the owners of this 'Hotel' is Misleading is an understatement! The Room was built for Hobbits! Asked to pay for bigger room, refused saying full up and all rooms are same size. Sink plug was broken, could not have a shave as water just went down the hole!.. Took broken plug to reception, said they would fix it, still not done after half a day, so took it down again... they said all the sink plugs in every room were like this, .. Broken!.. I Insisted on some sort of sink plug. I think they went and bought one! 'Bathroom' was a joke! No shower curtain on first day, water was everywhere!, 2nd day it turned up, the space to actually shower was less than the bare minimum, constantly catching the control, either turning it off or making it boiling hot or cold. The shower head had to be handheld or attached to the wall at a ridiculously low height, just useless! Breakfast served 7.30-10am, went down at 9.40, asked if there was any English Breakfast, I was shown over to containers, there were only a few beans and tomatoes left, the Cook said, 'All gone!' and walked away! ..Which quite clearly meant no more would be cooked! Is this place for real?!...So we had a coffee and left never to return to the dining room!...I made a point of saying a BIG EFHARISTO to the Cook...I don't think she got the Sarcasm! Air conditioning switched off during the night, and it was sweltering! Rooms are all overlooking a very busy road, constant deafening noise of motorbikes, coaches and lorries at all times. 'Balcony' is minuscule, just enough room to fit 2 small chairs (or a Hobbit!) and little else! By the end of the first night we decided to rent an apartment somewhere else for the last 2 Nights of our 7. This place is awful! I honestly think this 'Hotel' was designed and built by someone who has only ever stayed at Hostels! And to promote this place as a Holiday Hotel is surely a breach of Trading Standards! We were actually locked out of the place one night, it was only 1am!...1am in Greece is EARLY!!!...The guy, (probably the owner by his stinking attitude, answered the Bell virtually naked after being woken up by us, there is a small room at reception to accommodate the Night Staff. Oh, yes, and the Room Key is to be left at Reception every time you leave the Hotel!..The Keys are placed on the Front Counter and absolutely anyone can walk in off the Street and just help themselves!. Absolutely LOVED leaving this place to stay at an absolute GEM of a Hotel in Kalamaki...Yria Owners should just spend a little time looking around other Proper Hotels to see just exactly how it's done!

This Hotel has been refurbished to a high standard worthy of more than 3 stars, the double beds so comfortable, the power shower was excellent. Reception and Restaurant staff were helpful, with a special mention of Irini, nothing was too much trouble and she was so sweet and recommended a restaurant, we stayed over Christmas and the Hotel was quiet, therefore our breakfast was cooked fresh to order. Hotel Restaurant was noisy in the evening, music too loud and no quiet area to sit, but cuisine was a good standard and pleasing decor.

My husband and I stayed here for a week. We will never forget our holiday in Zante town. This hotel is very convenient, walking distance from the center and the beaches. Breakfast is fresh and delicious. Rooms are spacious, clean and in a quiet neighborhood. What made our stay even more memorable was the hotel's staff. Shout out to Spiros, Anastasia, Katerina and Stefanos for their wonderful customer service and friendliness and for going above and beyond to make our stay an enjoyable one. We will definitely be back.

I wanted to stay in Zakynthos town and ideally somewhere with a balcony where I could watch the local life go by… Dali Luxury Rooms was perfect for me! Easy, quick, friendly and efficient check-in, to my lovely spacious modern room. Great storage space, chairs, lighting and a luxury bathroom. The balcony was quite a sun-trap in the am, so perfect for a morning coffee and watching the local life, boats head out and all the hustle and bustle of Zakynthos town. I have been into the town before (a few times) however there is something quite special to be there in the evening or early morning when there are not so many tourists. So lovely to see the locals in the evening all dressed up in Dionysios Solomos Square. I also went exploring the beach and tavernas, in the early evening which was something I felt I would have struggled to do on a day trip. There were some amazing boats and yachts in the harbour, including a super yacht - When the owner was on deck I thought - I have the better view! I was travelling around the island and had booked for 2 nights, when there wish I had booked more - so I guess I will have to go back.

Hotel Varres is a beautiful hotel tucked beneath a valley filled with orange trees and olive trees. Our room balcony and the breakfast terrace overlooks the greenery which is stunning! The room was comfortable with air con that worked perhaps a bit too well (it got very cold!). The bathroom was clean but the shower kept falling out of the socket and so only worked as a handheld shower. The pool looked nice and clean but as it only opens at 10am, we didn't have a chance to use it as we had an early flight. Not sure why this time is in place but the staff were not willing to budge on letting us into the pool area at 9, even though we just wanted to lie on the sunbeds. The breakfast was great with loads of variety, from eggs and bacon, to Greek yoghurt, fresh fruit, pastries and cereals. Lots of selection of teas and coffee. Despite the description saying its just a 15 minute walk from town, it is actually NOT walkable (it's about a 30 minute walk with undulating hills). We were advised by hotel staff to drive instead. A shame as we had booked hoping to be able to explore on foot and enjoy a drink or two. Peaceful setting all the same.

It was our first time in Zakynthos and we stayed here for 4 nights. I wish we stayed longer, honestly. The hosts are very nice and helpful, they even came and picked us from the airport without charging us. They also helped us with the car renting. And it's nothing like car rentals. That means that you don't have to pay in advance for an insurance or garancy. On the contract it's stipulated a sum to pay if somwthing happens with the car. And that's it. So much easier. The building is big and it has many spacious apartments. You have a spacious kitchen with everything you need to cook your own food, a big bathroom with a very good shower& toilet and even shaving kit, ear sticks, shower gels& shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste and a hairdryer in the bathroom. The bedroom is big: you have a big bed and a sofa and other pieces of furniture and also a balcony from where we enjoyed a morning coffee& a beer in the evening and see the mountains. It was a pleasure to come back in the evening after a full day and spend time on the balcony. This place is situated near the downtown, has a supermarket behind the building, a bakery and also a pharmacy very close. It's also important to know that it has a huge terrace where you cand spend your time in the evening& even have a grill over there if you're a group of people. It also has a big parking lot. 10/10 definitely recommend!! ❤❤

My husband and I came to stay at a villa at St John's for our two-week honeymoon. We had a wonderful stay at Tulip Villa and enjoyed every minute of it! We were allocated a three bedroom villa which had more room than we needed but it wasn't a problem for us! We spent quite a lot of time at the villa, choosing to go to the beach and on days out every other day so we stayed at the villa for most of our honeymoon. The pool was lovely. We spent a lot of time sitting outside reading and relaxing and the occasional dip in the pool when it got too hot was perfect. The hotel staff are very helpful and professional. We treated ourselves to room service on a few occasions and meals were delivered to the villa in a timely fashion with a friendly smile to boot. The food at the restaurant was outstanding in our opinion. The chef did a marvellous job - each meal that we had there was delicious and filling. Truly our favourite restaurant of the whole holiday! Waiters, Nick and Mike were very friendly and looked after us each and every time we visited. Food was enjoyed looking at the lovely view out to sea - perfect. The walk back up the hill to the hot3el from Tsilivi resort is not for the faint-hearted (like me)! We generally made sure we had £6 to catch a taxi back home. All in all, our stay at St John's was perfect - we couldn't have asked for anything more. Thanks go to all the staff for looking after us so well. We will be back.

This is a very nice place - the apartment and the area around. Our apartment was well equipped - even if the kitchen seems small, it had all the necessary to cook a few meals. The rooms were spacious and the view was something to remember. Both rooms had well furnished balconies. The only minor thing I would improve would be to add a glass or curtains to the shower cabin, as it got a bit splashy all over whenever we took a shower. Oh, and some non-Greek tv channels. Otherwise, it was a very clean apartment and it was cleaned daily. Air con worked properly. Free parking on the premises. Friendly host. It is really a great choice to stay in Zakynthos IMO and great value for money.

Stayed here August for the week. Food- Very nice, loads of choice, if you got a sweet tooth like me then you might be in trouble. I walked out to the pool area after every lunch looking like I had a man baby. Desserts are lovely!! Grounds/pool area- Ideal, comfy sun beds, pool bar, staff brings drinks to you. Beach lovely, staff again bring drinks to you. Free sun beds. Water shallow far out and warm. Room- we stayed in partial sea/pool view, was a nice room, good shower comfy bed, nice balcony. Cleaned every day and drinks topped up in fridge daily. Staff- very friendly, top class As you see all the above are positives but see general notes below 1 toaster in the restaurant for all the guests. If I’m wrong and missed another toaster somewhere then apologies. Entertainment- Not great, dj was on once a week which was good though. The flamenco dancers were good also. I think having a dj on just for a couple hours after the acts or even just done party music would give more of a atmosphere giving people the opportunity to have a dance. Trousers to be worn in restaurant - thank goodness they scrapped this rule. I will say though the air con in the hotel including the restaurant was great!! I sweat a lot and this was a blessing The cocktails, strawberry pina coladas so tasty, not cheap alcohol tasting stuff. Beer nice too. Lighting in our room could have been better and English TV channels very poor. Basically just the news. Wi fi in rooms good touch though. The Al La Carte meal wasn’t worth doing, the buffet was much nicer. Location - very good, enough restaurants bars etc in the area outside a couple mins walk away. Nothing too mental but just right. That’s it from me, would I return, for sure I would. Thanks to the Hotel and staff we had a lovely time.

Comfortable room, everything you need is there. Spacious balcony with wonderful view. Lift in the main building. Nice shower, lots of hot water, everything is impeccably clean. Location of the hotel is very convenient and beautiful, just by the beach with long walks. The hotel grounds are vast compared to other hotels. Even when the hotel is full, which is practically all the time, you do not feel crowded anywhere on the grounds. My husband and I have been coming to the Bay for ten years twice a year and every time we are enjoying ourselves tremendously and are sad to leave. Looking forward to the next year and meet again all the wonderful staff and to enjoy tasty food produced by the restaurants. Highly recommend this place for couples looking for peaceful and relaxing time.
