Nook is a hotel chain that provides studios for travelers. This particular one was in a great location in Mitte, Berlin. Though it's quite in the thick of things, it's actually on a quiet street. I was able to walk to all the major attractions and also found lots of places close by to either get a bite, coffee, or purchase food. The street itself has some important pieces of German history, including Sophienkirche, which Martin Luther King, Jr. visited in 1964; a Jewish cemetery; and The Missing House. Though this was in some ways beyond the control of the host, I do want to note that the walls of the studios are paper-thin. There was an unruly family on my floor whose child kept screaming at the top of his lungs out of anger over something. The family also kept slamming doors and cabinetry quite early in the morning. I immediately wrote to Nook, and it turned out that none of their staff were actually on hand to deal with the matter. All this said, I really did have a good stay at this facility and can recommend it to others. Just maybe bring earplugs!

I think the cleanliness is OK, 15 minutes walk from the subway station. It’s good to have a drink with friends in the evening. It’s a bit unhappy. The room doesn’t have a hot water bottle. I can’t make my own milk tea. I’ll call one and say that I’m not going to go downstairs.

I have seen many hotels in Berlin and this one is by far the cleanest/most hygenic one! Especially now during Corona times, they literally send their cleaning team to sanitize door handles etc. every hour and they have a full no-contact check-in and check-out system that works by a telephone service that is always there for you. The cozy rooms and excellent location at Rosethaler Platz makes the stay just perfect. A secret tip: ask for one of their "signature rooms", created by local Berlin artists (no additional costs charged). Definitely a recommendation for everyone!

For a long while Berlin has been on our hit-list, and with the excellent flight from Edinburgh we thought why not. My wife found this gem of a Hotel in the Mitte district, for a three night stay. Just got home last night thoroughly loving this place. For newbies to Berlin, the Mitte district is perfect. so easy to get to from Tegel airport (don't get a taxi, be brave and use the efficient public transport!), a very short walk from Hackescher Mkt station and we were at the hotel Monbijou. Smart building, and beautifully furbished inside. Warm friendly welcome from the staff, who throughout couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. And don't you just love it when you arrive at a hotel and the staff member on the desk says, we've upgraded your room to a suite. And wow, what a suite!!! Top floor corner with just the most stunning view of the Berlin Cathedral on museum island. what a sight to go to sleep to, and then to wake up gazing upon. The suite itself was very clean, the bed was very comfortable, the room well equipped, even had our favorite Molton Brown hand washes. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough

We booked this Hotel for a weekend get away, a great spot, easy walking distance to the river and all landmarks we wanted to see, the tram stops just outside if you want to venture further afield, the Hotel is spacious, we had a room only deal, one room was a suite style with bedroom and sofa setup and the other was a double and good size, in room safes, great bathrooms and toiletries and hairdryers and good TVs in rooms, we would book again very welcoming and a good price for a room only deal, we grabbed breakfast round the corner at Starbucks near to the railway bridge. Reception has tea and coffee free to take to your rooms, and a small bar area, but get out exploring, you wont be disappointed. a great hotel and in a great location.

Would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay. Loved our time there. Very close to all public transport, great for getting around. Spotlessly clean room with modern design and a beautiful view of the city rooftops. Loved the artwork all around the hotel. Complete privacy if that is what you want - using the app to check-in and as hotel key was simple and easy. Cannot speak highly enough of the staff who looked after us. Staff at the reception and bar were happy to chat with us and point out some local gems in the area we wouldn't have found by ourselves! I had a small issue with the app after checking out and returning home and was looked after remotely by Thomas, and all was perfect. Thank you for a great stay.

Basic hotel, appropriately priced. However, if you look for anything “style” in this hotel, you will be disappointed. The design of the rooms is really poor, much worse than the photos might suggest. The visual elements of the room are poorly combined, the California theme is tacky and looks cheap. One of the worst looking rooms I have stayed in. Staff was friendly and everything was reasonably clean though. The room was quite warm (even when turning down the thermostat) which made it difficult to sleep at night. The breakfast is rather basic and I would suggest to look for options outside (of which there are plenty). The poorly designed room is the main reason for me to not visit this hotel again.

We spent 3 days at Gorki last week, slightly early Valentine’s trip. We love it as it’s just easy here, spacious apartment, clean, modern, great location and in one of the best cities in world! We cooked one day and ate out the rest of the time. With so many bars and restaurants within walking distance, you are spoilt for choice! Regarding the review below, not sure what that’s about, we’ve never had any issues, hence our third visit and not our last. Also, we just loaded the dishwasher ourself, we didn’t need the room attendant to do it! Love the personal service too, when we booked our visit, Constance messaged me the list of rooms to choose from, from the category we had booked. This was great as each apartment is different, no 2 are exactly the same. We are working our away across the different categories :) We asked for a late check out and were told it was €50, we declined that, but we were able to stay in the room until 1pm. We’ll be back in the summer, see you then!

Location is awesome. It's almost like living in a park atmosphere. Lots of walking trails nearby, close to downtown and most of the major tourist attractions, but still in a quiet area. Public transit is readily available (bus stop right across the street, and several trams within short walking distance). Front desk staff were incredible throughout our 5-day stay there -- from check-in to check out. As we were in Germany to assist a family member, ours was more like a working holiday than a relaxing one and although our personal circumstances were seemingly constantly in flux, the staff were EXTREMELY courteous and helpful in adapting our reservations several times. The hotel is very clean and well-maintained. There is a nice beer garden in the back where you can get an early start on "the German experience", but don't worry about all-night partying or rowdiness...it closes around 9:00 p.m. so, even though we had a room right above it, the noise was never an issue. Rooms are well-soundproofed so getting a good night's sleep was never a problem either. I would give this place more stars if possible, primary due to the outstanding staff and service provided during our stay. This will definitely be our "go-to" place whenever we are in Berlin.

Ocak (January) was a very pleasant surprise for our 4 days stay in Berlin. My wife’s criteria for choosing it was the bath tube and the private parking. And as we arrived we realized that was a wonderful choice. The rooms are spacious, queen size bed comfortable (much appreciated the extra pillows), more than decent wardrobe, a small kitchenette that we didn’t use, cozy living area and a generous bathroom with a pretty big bath tube. Everything clean & tide. Also a safe is available for your valuables. Parking place was the other surprise. As we were traveling all the way to Finland, our car was loaded with luggages. And Ocak has a perfect safe place in the i underground parking in which the access is done by elevator (the whole process takes about 4-5 minutes). The elegant restaurant was the perfect place for the variated breakfast (delicious and fresh). U fortunately it was not opened for dinner, and same for the bar (that had a good selection of drinks) because of the Covid situation. In less that a km you will find restaurants, a shopping mall and also a train and underground train station which makes the access to the touristic attractions (plenty) l very easy. We were delighted to find out that the hotel is owned by a turkish living in Berlin (and you can see in this in the attentions for details, architecture and guest oriented attitude) and that the employees - extremely helpful, kind & friendly are also turkish (delighted as Turkey is our souls home country, and if Covid kept us away from it, Ocak did a great job to makes us feel a little bit like being there). If there is something more that I would like from this hotel, that would be a balcony (as a smoker) and a minibar. But this won’t keep us away from returning here very soon and to highly recommend this wonderful location. Thank you Ocak for existing and for making us feel like home!

The location is good, it is very convenient to go to various attractions, and you can walk or take public transportation. Shopping around is very convenient. Reception front desk and doorman service are very good and very polite. The hotel's decoration style is more ancient, and it doesn't matter if it is different from person to person. It is difficult to comment. What the individual doesn't like is the breakfast mode provided by the hotel. The buffet style on the table is only a small variety of bread, butter, cheese, sliced meat, a little fruit, a little juice and so on. Any omelet or egg, or sausage, or hot vegetables, must be ordered in a variety of language menus provided by a single door. Although the speed of serving after ordering is OK, the taste is average and even disappointing. The taste of the drink is average. The overall feeling of the hotel's breakfast quality is not worth the price it sells. In particular, if you are accustomed to eating a self-service rich breakfast, you may not be able to adapt to this breakfast mode.

The location of the hotel is very good, with a subway/tram station next to it, and convenient transportation. There are many shopping shops nearby, and it is not far from the Haak Market. It is very convenient to eat, drink and play. The room is large, there is a hidden induction cooker, and there are kitchen utensils in the cabinet, which is very suitable for friends who want to cook for themselves. I really like the washing and care products in the room. The soap is black, which is very special.

I am a guest of your's. I am very happy here. I sing highly of your service. First of all, the hotel is so beautiful. It looks like a garden. I enjoy it. We always tend to stay here when in Berlin as the location is perfect for the gay area. Hotel staff are very friendly & accommodating. Room was warm & comfy but some of the furnishings are looking a little outdated now. Cleaner didn’t automatically come every day which was disappointing - no doubt another ridiculous Covid19 rule. The fridges with minibar seem to have been removed from the room which is a little annoying - shall we blame covid19 for that too?! The hotel also expects you to wear face masks which is a bit unnecessary as you can walk round any bar, restaurant, or shopping centre now without the need for a mask. I don’t blame the staff In the hotel for this rule but the company needs to get a grip & realise that most travellers are fully vaccinated now. How else could we have got to Germany in the first place? Having said that, we would stay here again as overall the facilities & location are good.

Ive known Axel Hotels from Barcelona and enjoyed the great atmosphere but this stay was not great. Room was clean enough, small but pleasant, nice features with fancy radio in mirror (didn’t work) and fancy light switches (cool but lit blue all night so not great for people who like dark bedrooms). House keeping didn’t refill shower gel nor shampoo during a 3 day stay and let’s say Covid measures were light hearted… and then the Saturday night 5am party is great for everyone on the corridor. Walls are so thin that we woke up and had to listen to the discussion in front of our door whether they should sleep on this floor or somewhere else - which made me wonder whether it was partying staff or anyone with access cards coming back? No one at reception anyway to handle it. Gym looked impressive- weights, cable machine a couple of cardio machines- but had one disinfectant spray bottle of 250ml from Dm, no wipes, no paper to wipe the spray and also not even the request to guests to make sure people disinfect the equipment used. One gym mat which looked like rice paper it was so worn. Restaurant upstairs with Peruvian kitchen looked nice enough, be sure to brush up on your school Spanish though if trying to order. Checked out this morning and while I noted at check in that this was a business trip, I was still asked to pay tourist tax which I declined. Two hours later, just about to board the plane I see a charge for the tax coming through. Fraudulent.

KADEWE Shopping The mall is about 10 minutes walk away; it needs to be emphasized: the hotel room is small, Wifi can only connect one device at a time, the speed is normal, the room just entered the moldy smell, originally wanted to change the room, the next day tastes slightly Better; convenient transportation, a few hundred meters in the vicinity is U BUS station or 100/200 station; next time it is estimated that this hotel will not live, because of the taste of the room, wifi, and cost. A great hotel in a central location. The breakfast was great, although the atmosphere was pretty noisy taking into account the huge number of people staying at the hotel. The only disadvantage is that for parking I was not able simply to drive into the parking garage, although it says that no prior reservation is needed, so I suppose I had to call the hotel in advance and tell them I'm coming with a car. So I would advise Ctrip to update this part of the information. Nevertheless, if you want to pay 10€ instead of the 22€ a day for parking in the hotel's parking garage, you can consider the parking area at Gleisdreieck, which is around 5 minutes on foot from the hotel.

Before I comment the hotel, I would really like to mention the Receptionist Mo!! He was at the check in when I got there, and immediately saw his positive energy and vibe and at the same time professionalism, which is very important as it’s the first impression when you step in the hotel. He also speaks couple of foreign languages such as Russian, English, Italian, German... I am working as a GM of Korcula Hill Resort in Croatia, and I have to say that every hotel should have at least one Mo!!! Very smart and polite guy, and really hope he will be soon upgraded to a higher position in the company as I’m sure he’s capable of managing more complexed stuff, situations and business decisions. Amazing guy!! Also, another young receptionist Ane, I loved talking to her on Spanish and we laughed a lot during my stay. Very cool persona and her English, is just brilliant with nice accent! As A Moxy lover, I have to say that this Hotel, again, was very modern, cool, funky, colors and decoration everywhere, the Vespa at the entrance... Rooms were clean, beds comfortable and the view not bad at all. Water pressure in the shower was perfect! Breakfast was good too. The location is great, only 300m to the S Bahn/U Bahn lines, very good connection with the city and Tegel Airport.
