|9.09km from city centerI chose this hotel as I was touring Berlin with a friend for a few days, but he was arriving a couple of days later than me. This proved to be a great option in terms of budget, distance from the city centre and proximity to public transport. Once you come up the steps from the U-Bahn at Siemenssdamm, it’s immediately to your right. The member of staff in the reception was warm and friendly and spoke very good English as my German is not very good after studying it a little at school 25 years ago. The room was large, very clean, and well-equipped. It was too warm for me, and turning the air con down didn’t help, but the window opens very wide. The bathroom also had a bath which was a bonus. The bed is firm which I really enjoyed, but I appreciate that won’t be to everyone’s liking. I’m sure I requested the room not to be serviced but the maid had been in every day. I didn’t use the TV but the Wi-Fi was a little patchy and slow at times. There is plenty of plug sockets including one near the bed. There was a soft light on the floor lamp and a desk lamp which was great. I had the buffet breakfast one morning, which had a great and varied selection of hot and cold food, this included cereals, bread, cold meats, cheeses, eggs, sausages, fresh juice, tea, and coffee. There is a supermarket across the road open till 10 pm, which was handy to get food for dinner. Yeah, it is quiet, and felt safe. I couldn’t hear any noise from any adjacent rooms. If I’m visiting Berlin in the future on my own, I will probably stay here again.

|3.1km from city centerThe good news is that the Illy coffee from the Illy machine in the bedroom is superb. All the rest is bad, and worse. Marriott seems to believe that lots of marble in the bathrooms is the most important ingredient in making a good hotel. They're wrong. The key to running a good hotel is service. And the service at the Hotel Berlin Central District is awful. As usual, my wife and I are traveling for both business and pleasure -- conferences in London and Berlin, a week of tourism in the wilds of Brittany, and a week of seeing friends, visiting art galleries, etc., in Paris. So we are traveling heavy. We need to carry a lot of clothing -- plus the tools for doing business -- multiple laptops, other communications equipment, etc. When we arrived at the hotel, there was absolutely nobody to help us get our stuff from the taxi into the hotel. In fact, during the entire week we were there, there never was anybody in front of the hotel to help anybody with anything -- including when we left. There is no concierge service. We asked the people at the reception desk to help us on a number of concierge-type issues. They were totally untrained to do so. For example, the first night we were there, we asked for recommendations for a restaurant outside the hotel -- within walking distance. We were given a map, with a circle drawn around an area near Potsdamer Platz. We walked there and found a collection of fast-food joints, such as Burger King, and a couple of pizzerias. She might have asked us if that was what we had in mind. It wasn't. On another occasion, I asked for help in finding a pharmacy. It took the lady about 20 minutes to find the name of a pharmacy and to print out a Google map showing Potsdamer Platz, with an arrow showing where the pharmacy was supposed to be. I wandered around the area for a bit, found nothing, and asked a taxi driver who was parked in a queue. He stared at the map, pulled out his cell-phone, plugged in the German word for ”apothecary”, and showed me where it was. The arrow was in the wrong place. On a number of occasions, I tried to call the reception desk from our room. Nobody ever answered the phone -- with one exception. After ten minutes of waiting, somebody picked up the phone -- and immediately hung up on me. Once again, the Illy coffee is brilliant. But the first day we were there, we were provided two capsules of regular coffee and two capsules of de-caffinated. My wife and I both like real coffee and lots of it. So we asked the people at reception to tell whomever that we would much prefer getting four capsules of real coffee. We also left a note (in German) for the cleaning crew telling them the same thing. The next day we got two capsules of real coffee and two of decaffeinated. I reminded the lady at reception. The following day, we got two capsules of decafinated and one of real coffee. And things got worse from there. After a couple of days, we ran out of Kleenex tissues in the bath room. I left the

Tea and coffee provided and a free safe. Bathroom was good, plenty of hot water and complimentary toiletries. Breakfast was of a good quality with the usual selection of continental and hot options. Nice restaurants and cafes nearby. - Clean and comfortable rooms. Nothing bad to say about that. Many pillows. - Nice views from the upper floors. - Late check-out was possible and didn't cost anything if you were a beOne -member. It doesn't cost anything to register as a beOne -member, and you get one free breakfast, one free bottle of water (big bottle) and if possible, a late check-out on Sundays (also for free). CONS: - Soundproofing. The noice from the streets didn't bother that much on the upper floors, but you could hear everything from the hallway, if someone is walking, talking or opening doors. - Breakfast. It wasn't necessarily bad, but especially with fruits and vegetables there weren't that many options. I feel like for that price the breakfast should be better. - Staff. Again, not necessarily bad, but could've been more friendly. - Lack of mini fridge. There wasn't any mini fridge in the room. Overall a good hotel which I can recommend and would also stay here again :)

They turned it to hot air mode, won’t tell you that, and you’ll be unable to sleep as temperatures resemble the Sahara. There is also the fire station next door which they won’t advise you on either. Sirens ALL night long. Don’t think you can open the window to cool down - you can’t. The noise will give you tinnitus! The management or lack thereof are a disgrace. Stay here at your peril. Fuller review: I booked two rooms for six nights at almost 2000 euros. Our party were unable to sleep due to the extreme heat and had to leave early on day two, but not before giving the hotel four opportunities to put things right. We are reasonable people. The hotel, not so much. We booked Sana Berlin as the hotel is advertised as having air conditioning. This was false advertising as management had decided a few days earlier to switch off the a/c with no notice to guests, and were unwilling to switch it on, despite me asking on three occasions to reverse or rectify the issue. Not having this facility made the room incredibly warm, and sleeping at night impossible. Did I mention you can’t open the windows? The hotel refuses to concede this as an issue, despite their own member of staff visiting our room, agreeing it to not be acceptable and visibly sweating and uncomfortable due to the heat. This was the same member of staff who advised he lives in the hotel and can’t open windows either owing to the fire station next door and extreme noise of the sirens… so, not just us then. Notwithstanding this, the hotel still doesn’t take responsibility or rectify this, and has charged me handsomely for two nights accommodation (663 euros). Disgusted yet? You should be. However as with any horror story, it gets worse… I may have mentioned that we did not sleep for two nights, how could we? The extreme heat combined with the loud emergency vehicles… it felt we were in a warzone, not on a holiday. Ah, the windows. Firstly, you can’t open them to cool unable the room down due to the noise. Even if you did, you’ll get no privacy as you can’t shut the badly positioned electric blinds and have the window open at the same time… so yes, if you do you’ll be in full view of the street. Nice if you’re an exhibitionist. I’m sure you’re beginning to get the idea now. So, what did we as guests do about it? Well reader, we tried! Lord knows we tried; Both my husband and I tried to address matters with the hotel to provide fair opportunity to resolve the matter. After the first night I emailed at 8am the following day, to outline the issues. The hotel did reply at 10am advising this (the a/c) would get looked at by the ‘technical team’ however after this did not provide any further updates and proceeded to ignore us. Cool… or not as it happens! I sent a further email at 15:20 the same day seeking an update before we returned to the room. This was of course ignored, sigh. On

Wie haben ein Zimmer zur Straße genommen da zum Hof eine riesige Baustelle ist. Klimaanlage sehr gut. Restaurant direkt im Hotel. Etwas ungewöhnlich, die Rolltreppe die zur Rezeption führt. Betten waren richtig gut. Mir fehlte im Zimmer eine Minibar. Meiner Meinung nach ist es vielleicht vom Preisleistungsverhältnis etwas zu hoch.

The room booked did not include breakfast, but there was a buffet on the first floor, 12 euros for one person. To experience the local breakfast in Berlin, we chose to go out and have breakfast in the bakery. The hotel helps to make a reservation for a taxi and needs to pay for the service. The actual taxi at the entrance of the hotel is not difficult to call. When leaving the hotel, it is a black taxi. It feels like being bypassed.

The rooms were cleaned every day and there was free water. The hotel is very convenient to walk nearby (this is the biggest advantage compared to the price). You can see the Gestapo Headquarters, Jewish Monument, Berlin Mall (shopping) and Balanmen Gate in 30 minutes' walk. There are restaurants and supermarkets nearby, which is basically very convenient. .
The inconvenience is that the hotel is too big and it is a tourist hotel. There is always a queue at the front desk and breakfast is always overcrowded. Don't expect any service. Just do everything yourself. This price buys convenience and safety. It's safe to walk around the surrounding neighborhoods.

We stayed in the studio apartment which was perfect, very spacious and clean and comfortable. Kitchen had everything you need - cups, plates, cutlery, washing up liquid, sponges etc. The bed was really comfortable with huge pillows and the shower was very powerful. They are in the perfect location, close to a selection of different restaurants all within walking distance and close to the subway. Check in staff were friendly. We had an ironing board in our apartment with no iron, so we walked down to the checkin in spot and asked for an iron which we were able to rent out for 20 euros and upon the return we got that 20 euros back. We asked for a late check out which was accepted at a fee. All in all, a perfect stay.

Both flights were cancelled. Ryan Air informed us for the departure so we changed to the night before arriving late and extra nights accommodation needed. The app still has us flying on the original date. The return flight was cancelled and the app stated we were checked in and even gave details of check in gate. This meant another night in a hotel and hundreds of pounds extra to fly the next morning. The app is useless. Book direct with the airline and watch Google as it steers you towards Trip.com automatically. The helpline does not answer the phone. Generic answers are useless just like Trip.com Please publish this!

Das merkt man. Die Zimmer sind einfach nicht mehr zeitgemäß: Kein Safe, keine Kaffeemaschine, nicht eine einzige Schublade, Badewanne mit Duschvorhang und Wäscheleine. Keine Kosmetikartikel (außer Duschgel, Shampoo und Seife), obwohl damit geworben wurde. Ausgefranste, hauchdünne Handtücher (siehe Foto), keine Bademäntel (obwohl Sauna und Fitness im Haus), keine Pantoffeln. - Im Bad roch es unangenehm, die völlig verdreckte und verkeimte Lüftung (siehe Foto) macht eher alles noch schlimmer. - Uns wurde beim Einchecken nicht gesagt, dass man Housekeeping extra bestellen muss. Wo gibt's denn sowas?? Man hatte uns aber zugesagt, zumindest die Handtücher zu tauschen, was aber nicht erfolgte. Das für den Folgetag von uns bestellte Housekeeping erfolgte dann eher oberflächlich. Toilettenpapier wurde nicht aufgefüllt, die leere Kosmetiktücherbox ignoriert. - Es gibt in der Tiefgarage weder Abstellmöglichkeiten für Fahrräder noch Lademöglichkeiten für E-Bikes. An der Rezeption wurde uns gesagt, wir sollen unsere Bikes einfach mit ins Zimmer nehmen und dort laden. Haben wir dann gemacht. Mit den Bikes durch dir Lobby, rein in den Aufzug, die langen Flure entlang gefahren und dann ab ins Zimmer. - Das Frühstück war durchschnittlich. Sehr viel Aufbackware und aus Großpackungen. Die Stühle im Restaurant sind teilweise fleckig und durchgesessen. Auch hier merkt man das Alter. - Mittags haben wir das Restaurant mal getestet. Die Qualität war ok, allerdings fehlten wesentliche Zutaten beim bestellten Salat. ”Die hat der Azubi in der Küche wohl vergessen”. Alles in allem aus meiner Sicht absolut keine Empfehlung. Wenn ich mir die ****-Dehoga-Kriterien anschaue, werden diese nicht eingehalten.

The foyer has a unique and fascinating light display which is a lovely feature to watch in the evening with a quiet drink . We understand that there is a pool and gym facility but unfortunately we didn't have time to visit that section of the hotel during our three night stay .

Kadewe is a few stops by bus. It’s also two bus stops from the Zoo station which is a major bus and train terminal. S9 takes you directly to BER if you need to catch a flight. The hotel is reasonably priced, updated modern and very clean. Typical European breakfast buffet included has lots of options like cold cuts, fresh fruits, bread, scrambled eggs, waffles, bacon, yogurts, etc. Housekeeping was done every day. The most important asset is the staff. Max L. was extremely helpful and enthusiastically helped us with all our requests. The only concern I have is we were assigned to a room on one side of the hotel which faces the train track. The train schedule is limited at night but we are light sleepers. Mary K. diligently and promptly resolved our concern about the noise and moved us to a higher floor.

Arrived in the vening, and upon check-in there seemed to be some issues with the staff, had no idea what it was. The guy told me that today the bar, usually open 24 hr closed at 10 PM. Got to my room and it was more spacious than the room I had in 2019 - extra space is nice. Little later I went down to buy a water and chips from the lobby kiosk, then a guy appeared and told me, in German, it was not possible. The kiosk was also closed. Strange! He did not speak a single word of English, but as I understood, the reception would be unstaffed for the remainder of the night. He said he was the security guy (if I got it correctly). Weird! Later in the evening my room got colder and colder. Only 4-5 degrees celcius in Berlin during the evening/night, and no heating in the room. The radiators were turned on max, but did not heat, so the room got very cold and uncomfortable. The guy in the lobby had no idea of what I was saying. I went to bed and woke up in the very cold room, still no heat. Felt little unwell as well. Very disappointed over this stay since my last stay was pleasant. Usually I enjoy the Moxy brand, with it's lively bars and so on. But this hotel was just cold and dull. Was a true pleasure to check out and walk 20 meters further up the road to the AC Hotel, where the bar is open and the in-room radiators are working. On a positive note - I like the location. Gesundbrunnen shopping centre is just across the street. So is the train station - with direct connections to Berlin Airport (twice an hour). You can easily get around Berlin from this location. There is a REWE futher down the road - open till midnight. Convenient when the lobby kiosk is closed. And the girl who did my check-out was very nice and friendly! Just like it should be at a Moxy :)

It is clear that they have not spent much resources on keeping the guest rooms up-to-date though, the air circulation was sub-par (very try air throughout the room) and the gym is a big disappointment. A few older treadmills and cross-trainers but no free weights or other equipment. Also, no room service before 5 pm is unheard of for property that markets itself as five-star. All-in-all more akin to an average four-star property but with a Westin brand attached to it. Will not be in a hurry to return.

|2.18km from city centerThe bright lights were the two very friendly guys, one slim German (?) at the reception, another bearded German (?) in the bar/restaurant area. The rest (mostly Spanish teenagers it seems) were obnoxious, pulling the plates from under your nose while you are still eating, walking around with a sour face like they own the place (and you should get out of their way). The arrogance we encountered upon our arrival and throughout our stay from the young ladies at the reception was revolting; putting this kind of people at the desk is a fail. Especially because I had to get at least ten times to the reception to activate the cards of our three rooms. They said it was because of proximity to our cell phones, but at least three times our phones were in the (locked) room …. Also one safe was blocked (battery dead, happens, but again making us face those ladies’ utter arrogance). We had three rooms. The cleaning people entered each room while we were still in bed (around 9am each time), in spite of the marker … they tried on other mornings but the door was closed, still quite unnerving to hear someone attempting to get in. Also some older women came to check out the service, just walking in asking if everything is ok… fawlty towers if you are old enough. Our rooms didn’t get cleaned every day, which you simply expect in a 4*, forcing us at some point to go and face the ladies at the reception to beg for towels, because they don’t pick up the phone. We got a commercial geste but rather had had a smooth stay without having to get things fixed or face unfriendliness all the time. I stayed in Melia hotels and this does not live up the chain’s standard. As you will see from my other reviews, I am a positive and constructive traveler. Positive points: location close to the metro; the gin and tonic; the breakfast buffet was very fine, managed by the friendly bearded guy; the slim guy at the reception desk helping us out. They lifted the place up (where the others seriously pulled it down, unfortunately).

Used it on my laptop and phone and had no issues. There were 2 downsides: for me, personally, the bed was way too hard. The first night it felt like I was laying on bricks. During my stay it got better, as I got used to it. The other thing was the airconditioning. As it was a hot period (30+ degrees), I chose this hotel as it had airconditioning. Well, it barely worked. The room thankfully didn't get superhot, because I was able to fully cover the window (so no sun could get in). A positive for me was the breakfast. I usually went around 9 am, and there was plenty of space for me to sit. Also the buffet was being restocked all the time and it got everything I wanted.

For that purpose, I went to Mrs. Hausweld and asked to please consult the availability and the price of the rooms for extra nights. In response, I was told that the final price, including the city tax for 3 additional nights would be 350 euros with breakfast included. Consequently, I was willing to go along with that reservation and requested to pay by card. Afterward, then Mrs. Hausweld offered me the POS terminal to go along with the payment, and the amount ascended to 419 euros. Due to that unexpected difference, I kindly asked for an explanation and was told that 419 euros were the final price, and if I was not happy with it I would need to leave the hotel immediately. As a result, I kindly refused to pay that amount and asked her to please consult the price for two nights instead of three. In response to that, the front desk manager told me that no more rooms were available for me and that I needed to check out now and leave the hotel. Following that conversation, I went on Booking.com and reserved a room for the same days, without breakfast, and surprisingly rooms were still available. Next, I went to the front desk and asked to please pay for my booking Mrs. Hausweld looked at me in an unfriendly manner and told me she could not find any reservation. After 5 minutes of searching, she could finally open my booking. Then, although I already provided a credit card in my booking, she asked me to show it to her because she was not believing that it was not mine. I answered that the card was in effect mine and offered her to have a look, but it did not have any numbers on it. So she got ahead to request me to write down my credit card details, including the CVV code, on a piece of paper as ”a security”. Afterward, I was asked again by her if I would like breakfast or not, despite I selected the no breakfast option on booking.com. A moment later I was offered the POS terminal to pay by card, which stated an amount 30 euros higher that the price I booked the room for on this site. Due to the reoccurrence of the same, previous situation again, I refused to pay and respectfully asked her why the price was higher again. Mrs. Hauweld answered in a very disrespectful manner that I asked her to have breakfast included and that I was confusing her again. After that situation, I kindly asked them to speak with her supervisor. She answered, that she had no supervisor and was the only person working in the hotel for the whole weekend. That experience left me in complete disbelief of her professionality and her being in that important role in the hotel. However, despite that bad experience with that particular staff member, I would like to note that the other front desk managers were very friendly and helpful at all times.

You need to prepare yourself. The nearest subway station walks for ten minutes. If you go to travel, it is not convenient to take the subway. The subway is a little longer. The surrounding environment is still quiet. It is not the place where the Chinese are getting together. There is an ice cream shop opposite the hotel. 1.2 Euro is delicious. There is also a outside. The atmosphere of the restaurant that eats the steak is very good. Below is the photo of the restaurant. It’s okay to stroll to the subway station. There is a supermarket. You can also go to the subway bus because Berlin’s public transportation is particularly difficult.

|3.31km from city centerThe location is great. We walked to many places from the hotel. We also hired bikes from apps which my son loved. The trains and buses are a very short distance. We got everywhere in the city and to Potsdam with great ease. The room was clean, big and comfortable. My only real issue is that the air con doesn’t turn on until summer but it was 23 degrees in April and the room was stuffy. We couldn’t have the window open as we were next to train tracks. The next day staff moved us to a garden room and it was much better. The staff were pleasant and very helpful. We didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel as my son is a fussy eater but the food looked great. The bar area is beautiful and it was nice to relax there after a full day of exploring. We would definitely stay here again.

The decoration design style of the hotel belongs to the small and beautiful style of children. If it weren't for the 1300 RMB one night price during the exhibition, the price would be worth 80-100 Euro.

The room was very stylish, neat and clean.
The minibar was free and German beer was also placed!
And the best part is the Jungle Sauna on the upper floor.
Self-roasting is possible in the Finnish sauna.
Pour water on the stove and adjust it, and a hot sauna is ready!
There is a rest space next to the sauna where you can take a shy bath.
Sparkling water and German beer were also available.
Please note that the sauna is a mixed-gender bath and swimsuits are prohibited.
Bath towels are placed in the sauna, so you don't need to bring them from your room.
Bathrobes can be borrowed from reception.
Stylish hotel, great sauna, friendly staff, everything was great.
I will stay at this hotel again when I visit Berlin next time.

|2.92km from city centerI chose this hotel for its location, its a 5 minute walk from the main station Hauptbanhof, where all the buses drop off. From Teigel airport I took the TXL bus to the station at a cost of 2.90 euros and door to door was 30 mins in total. Like nearly every hotel I have stayed in there were areas that could do with a lick of paint but on the whole it was a very clean, smart and quiet hotel. Most of the staff at the hotel spoke excellent English and we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. We elected to have breakfast every day, and the buffet is no longer permitted for obvious reasons. Breakfast comes in 2 courses, initially guests are given a platter of breads, croissants , cheeses, hams along with tea/coffee and juices. This is whilst your remaining breakfast is being prepared, namely eggs, sausages, bacon, or yogurts, fruit and cereals. I was very impressed with breakfast here. The bedroom we had was small but i was aware of this before I booked, but the bed was comfortable and the room was very quiet. There is no safe or fridge, but it does have a TV, but the only English channels i could find were news channels. However I did not come on holiday to watch TV so I was not concerned. The bathroom is small also but the shower is hot and powerful and soap/shampoo and shower gel is provided. The toilet is in the same room so if they both are used at the same time, you have to be very good ”friends ” with your partner if you get my drift. Free wifi is available and the signal was strong and powerful. My only minor criticism and its not the fault of the hotel, is that there are a limited amount of restaurants within walking distance to enjoy an evening out. The station has a lot of fast food outlets but proper restaurants were very scarce.
