We booked for a group of 45 cyclists to stay for 3 nights over the Easter weekend. We were given our own large room to store the bikes overnight safely. We had a db&b arrangement. We were well looked after by the hotel staff with great food and service. The hotel is old and full of character so consequently the rooms are all different and some are up steep stairs and tucked away in remote corridors but mostly they are well appointed and comfortable. We enjoyed pre-dinner drinks in the bar and even more so in the beautiful courtyard when the sun was on it. Thanks to all the staff for a very successful stay.

It is unimaginable that anyone would stay in this hotel for more than 24 hours. I am also baffled to see anyone rate this "farm" above one star. Furthermore astonishing that this room does not come furnished with warning or hazard signs. Our room sounded like our bed was located in the middle of the Formula 1 race track. White noise was provided in the form of thundering sounds and the vibrations of the lorry, bus, and car convoys rumbling past our room all day and most of the night. Although novel, it’s a shame that earplugs and double glazing were not provided or at least part of the package. How kind and thoughtful of you to send the housekeeping staff on vacation for 37 years before our arrival. The wooden pony-style front door was thoughtfully created with a gap at the bottom large enough for a room service tray or pigeon to walk through without opening. The multi-use pillow. Thin enough and hard enough to wedge under the front door to help reduce sound and light. The duvet is packed to its 1cm thickness with thoughtful lumps to keep my laptop from sliding away from me whilst writing this! The bloodstains on the bed and sofa cushion if you wanted to act out a scene from an episode of CSI. The teabag, yes, just the one. The mini bar for alcoholics - a box wrapped in duck tape and then painted black to match the mold on the window frames. Contents comprising the following items: One bottle of opened water, One can of Fanta, One coca-cola. The reversed bathroom taps. Turn on cold, and it's hot. So hot that I am surprised it didn’t activate the fire alarm. Such a surprise to find the bathroom turned into an inferno of heat so intense that I was effectively steam cleaned!! The Dermabrasion bath towel with slits and holes: Designed not just to dry, but also severely exfoliate you by removing two layers of the epidermis. The energy-saving lamps with invisible light switches and lose lampshades. Clearly, an attempt to save enough power to put Hinkley Point Nuclear Power Station into retirement. A mole-wearing bifocals would have been more than happy with their emitted light. The lampshades were decorated with DNA and held on by the light bulb so, in theory, you could host a game similar to spin the bottle if bored. The icky TV remote with most of the button labels invisible due to the gunk covering them… Switching on, reducing the volume level, and finding channels was like Russian Roulette! I’m sure the guests in the next room enjoyed the 10 o’clock news bulletin at 975 decibels as much as I did. A telephone with sticky keys to call down to reception or room service. Once you prised off the receiver, you could conduct a hearing test with the disconnected dial tone. The dust was so thick on the headboard, four-poster bed, and furniture I can only presume they were trying to grow their own crops. The hairdryer, imagine my shock (no pun intended) when it sounded like a Boeing 747 taking off, blew out dark smoke, and had mor

Opposite salisbury railway station, it is very suitable as a small base for people who want to go to stonehenge or other places, because the shuttle bus to Stonehenge is also here. I booked a suite. The front desk was very kind. The small hotel also prepared chocolate beans, apples, breakfast cereals, yogurt, etc. for free, which was very heartwarming. But it is a pity that I stayed very busy for 2 days. I ran around and didn't have much time to relax. The environment of the room was really good. There were high stools in the kitchen. It was convenient to play with mobile phones and computers while eating. If I have time, I really want to live here for a week. It should be noted that the front desk closes at 5 o'clock. Check-in after this can only be done by yourself. The closest food shop to the small hotel is in the train station, which is expensive. It is recommended to keep walking along the main road in front of the railway station. There are many restaurants and small supermarkets on both sides of the road. Near a bunch of buses are commercial areas, suitable for shopping. I wanted to take pictures when I left, but I forgot.
