This hotel is in a good location and the staff are very helpful and friendly, although those on reception are not always very fast (or their systems are unnecessarily complex). The breakfast is excellent and there is a lovely garden for al fresco eating. The ladies on the breakfast team were brilliant; the men rather less so. (Why keep on clearing tables without a tray so you have to go back and forth three times as much, as well as it looking and being very unprofessional?) The hotel is quite dated and the bathrooms definitely need an upgrade. Our room had a small TV on a stand, which I haven't seen for ever, with no Sky or international channels as far as we could make out. They also don't appear to have enough housekeeping staff, as when we returned to our room at past 3pm, it still hadn't been cleaned. But the main problem was the group of Greek 16-year-olds who spent half the night (until near 3am on one night) rushing around, yelling, banging doors, etc. The person in charge of the group couldn't have cared less about this antisocial behaviour, and the hotel staff were far fewer than all the rowdy adolescents, so it was a losing battle. This ruined our stay, as well as that of many other ”normal” travellers.
Booked a couple of nights in November around a football trip. We stayed in a twin room which was roomy, good shower and very clean. While not in the centre there are plenty of bars and restaurants close by and trams and Metro within a 5 minute walk. For what we paid i'd highly recommend. I'd stay there again.
Piccolo Hotel is 500 metres from the MICO congress centre and about 20 minutes by public transport from the Rho FieraMilano centre and Expo 2015 exhibition site. Free WiFi is available throughout. The Piccolo is run by the Belcastro family, hoteliers since 1960, who take great care with assisting their guests throughout their stay in Milan. All rooms are air-conditioned and en suite.Available from 7:00 until 9:30, the self-service breakfast is available in a large, bright room. A reading and TV lounge are also available. The hotel is non-smoking throughout. The hotel enjoys good transport links throughout Milan, and the Milan Nord Domodossola train and metro stations are a 5-minute walk away. The Sempione Park and Sforza Castle are 1 km from Piccolo Hotel. You can ask reception for information on bus links to Milan's landmarks like Milan Train Station and stadiums. Milan’s historical centre is 10 minutes away by bus.In the area you can find several supermarkets and restaurants, and the Fiftyfive bar is located next to the property.
the hotel was very comfortable. room was perfect. reception was very friendly and helpfull. very close to the train to como lake.and to metro station to duomo and garibaldi where has the best city night life
The hotel is relatively quiet. It takes about 15 minutes to walk from China Town and 10 minutes to the bus station and tram station. It is still very comfortable to live in. There are free baby cots and taxi service, but it is inconvenient for strollers. Friends are still very comfortable
Hotels Near Amarcord Piada Gourmet In Milan Review
Newly refurbished hotel. Modern and clean. Very comfortable bed. Lovely peaceful garden to have your coffee or aperitive. Close (350m) to Metro station and only 3 or 4 stations from Central. Little outside of main tourist areas but felt like I had a more authentic experience. Excellent choice of food and coffee at close by restaurants. Very helpful staff - especially grateful to Daniel. Staff spoke good English. No desk in the rooms but there were tables near reception and outside that were comfortable for working at. Good Wi-Fi. Reception staffed to 11pm - pass card access after this time.
Fortunately, the waiter helped me carry the luggage. There are two narrow steps into the room, which is quite difficult to cross. The location is very good. There is a subway 200 meters away. It is convenient to travel by subway in Milan. I have been in Italy for ten days and finally visit a big city.
Me and my wife stayed here for 2 nights over Valentine’s Day. We arrived early at 11am and were allowed to check in! All staff spoke perfect English and were friendly and welcoming. Our room was perfectly fine and overlooked the street. All the main public transport lines are literally across the road so no trouble getting anywhere. The room has a minibar with reasonable prices, fresh towels and toiletries all provided. We didn’t sample the breakfast so cannot comment on that. Oh and a highlight is across the road from the hotel is the Lamborghini showroom!
Convenient location, around 10 minutes from the Milano Centrale Train station. Its inside of a big street with a lot of shops, restaurants and supermarkets. Capsule rooms are decent in size and clean. Heating works properly in the rooms. Expect a fair amount of noise as the capsule is made of thin metal so you can hear banging sounds. Bathrooms are big in size, and clean. If you have your own washing liquid, you can use the washer dryer for free. You also get a welcome drink when you move in. If you are under 27,you dont have to pay the city tax, just to let you know. Overall, it was worth the price and the staff are very helpful.
The hotel is very near the Central station, excellent service.
But there was a hiccup with the booking reservation at Trip or hotel end, and we didn’t get the King Room as booked and got a smaller room with wrong beds instead.
But reception service was good and friendly
Very good hotel The front desk is warm and the drinks are free of charge. The room is also fully air-conditioned. The travel is convenient. The subway to the train station is a maximum of 5 minutes. There are restaurants next to it. A 2-minute walk and a single penny single room are just fine.
My wife & I stayed for 4 nights in early June 2022. We arrived around 11.15, very tired after an morning flight from the UK. We did not expect our room to be available for several hours, however, the man on reception spoke to the cleaning staff and our room was ready by 11.45. Superb service. Similarly, there was no rush for us to vacate the room on departure - a welcome change from the rules brought in by many hotel chains during Covid. The Hotel Regina is an established hotel well situated for access to the centre of Milan, the shopping & the sites. It is also close to the lively Navigly area and a metro station is around 7 minutes walk away. We stayed on a bed & breakfast basis, and the breakfasts provided were very good with a selection of meats, cheeses, cereals, eggs, yoghurts etc. We found all the staff very friendly and they could not do enough for their guests. The rooms are a little on the small side, but normal for a city centre type hotel. I am a light sleeper and therefore I had requested a 'quiet room'. We were therefore allocated a room at the rear of the hotel and apart from a little vibration from the local trams, the room was fine and I had no problem sleeping. All in all a good quality hotel close to the centre of Milan. Recommended.
This was my first experience in a hostel it was awesome !!! Thank you guys for these days, I really enjoyed everething. The hostel is so close to the Duomo, it has a lovely rooftop terassce and the rooms are very nice and the bed is good. You get a key for your locker whre you can deposite your stuff. If I m coming again in Milano, for sure I will stay at you. Breakfest was nice and the coffee is really good. Thank you !!
Milan is an expensive city, yet this Hotel is very reasonably priced. A family hotel for more than 100 years, the furniture and art reflects an eclectic collection built over the generations. My daughter and I found it quite charming and delightful. Our twin room was a good size, with excellent air conditioning and chilled sparkling and spring water refreshed in the room each day. Expresso coffees will be made by staff on request at any time, and there is also a bar on site. The bathroom in our room included a full bath and had excellent lighting. The complimentary breakfast provided was a generous spread. We requested soy milk for our coffee on the first morning we attended breakfast (due to allergies) and as none was available we quite happily drank our fresh coffees black. Without requesting, the next day soy milk was on the menu! The hotel is a convenient walk to the metro and the tram stops right outside the door. It took about 20 minutes to get to the Duomo Cathedral. This is not a luxury hotel, nor does it pretend to be. The staff were very friendly, helpful and we will return.
The hotel on a business trip is not bad. There is an Italian restaurant opened by the Chinese. Walk to the pavilion for 10 minutes and walk to Citylife for about 20 minutes. The hotel lobby has a Chinese style, with water and sweets in mind. Breakfast is 19 euros, and the discount is 15 euros, so it is expensive. Check out to 5 euros one person's city tax, the payment still has to pay, a good choice for a special period.
I liked the cozy atmosphere of the decoration and furniture. Really nice idea. The continental breakfast is pretty good. Everything was clean and good managed. The personal i can describe as attentive and polite, that is really important.
The oldest 5-star hotel in Milan, the service is top-notch and the facilities are not new, but it is highly recommended for those who want to experience traditional luxury hotels. Let yourself slow down.
The environment is okay, the price of a 4-star hotel is not expensive at 400 per night. The location is in the big suburbs. It takes 15 minutes to walk off public transportation and 30 minutes to the city center by subway. It is not convenient to go anywhere. It is cheap Good choice. There are not many facilities in the gym. Wearing slippers in the wet bathroom is easy to slip. What I want to say is the attitude of the front desk when I check out. My English is very poor. I didn’t understand the tax. I thought it was going to the airport or the city of the train station. It was 30 Euros for two people. I said it 3.4 times. I was very impatient. Then I didn’t understand and I took the one at the front desk. I knew what she meant by looking at the sign. Why didn’t I just take it out when I didn’t understand it the first time? Anyway, choose the city center next time.
The hotel is 2 minutes walk from the metro station, 5 minutes to the nearby park and 10 minutes to the cathedral. Overall the location is good. The service is also good, the lobby staff always answer questions with a smile and patience. The breakfast is simple, but it is enough and the dining environment is very comfortable. It would be better if you had a gym.
Breakfast is good. The location is ok, 5 minutes walk from the subway station, 15 minutes by subway to the center of Milan Cathedral. The hotel's room reservation department and lobby reception gave zero points, bad reviews! Due to the wrong date of a room, I contacted the hotel before Ctrip and wanted to change the time. No refund was required, but the hotel kicked the ball to Ctrip several times. After the hotel, I continued to fool, saying that Ctrip had not contacted the hotel for changes. The date of stay. However, I am willing to believe that Ctrip, Ctrip's communication service and attitude are very satisfactory, and I would like to give special praise to the customer service. I feel that this hotel has a completely different attitude towards Booking and Ctrip. I hope Ctrip is more powerful in international status! When people say that they are different through Ctrip's attitude, this feeling is super unhappy, I want to continue to support Ctrip! Never stay in this hotel in the future
The best hotel to stay in Italy, although not the momentum and standards of five-star hotels, but the service facilities are good, very satisfied. [Location] 10 minutes walk from the Central Railway Station, 5 minutes walk from the nearest subway line 1 station, there are some restaurant bars downstairs, and Carrefour walks in 5 minutes. [Room] is a lot bigger than the 16 flats I imagined. I don't feel forced, and the hot water in the bathroom is very stable. [Breakfast] is very rich, and you can have a meal until the afternoon. [Service] The front desk is free to help print the documents, and check-out at 12 o'clock is great!
Hotel muito bom por um preço justo! Atendimento excelente. Muito limpo. Local do estacionamento um pouco distante caso haja necessidade. Cafe da manha acima da media de hotéis da mesma categoria. Banheiro do quarto padrão é muito bom. Em minha opinião, é um hotel altamente recomendável.
The location of the hotel is very convenient. You can see it as soon as you get out of the subway. There are many restaurants near the downstairs, including a Sichuan restaurant. The taste is good, and it is also very close to the supermarket.
Only 6 minutes walk to the cathedral and nearby shopping.
It's pretty safe until 10pm.
The room is very big, I look at the garden view room, and the roof top bar has a good view.
The service was good, it took a few minutes to get the call processed.
it was a very pleasant stay. The staff was super friendly and were 24/7 available to help or guide in any way. Also, breakfast was a very nice and affordable option you could have! Definitely, a good choice! Grazie a tutti!
The hotel location is very good. It doesn't take ten minutes to get around Milan Central Station. The hotel facilities are a bit old but the cost is still high. Chinese people must drink hot water in winter. . The only inconvenience is that the towel rack in the bathroom is too high
The hotel is outside the ZTL restricted area, but close to the subway, convenient to travel, the surrounding supermarkets, restaurants are very close, in fact, there is time to walk slowly to the Finzi Museum, Milan Cathedral, all the way to see the sights, but also feel For a local life, there is free parking and it is suitable for self-driving travel.
What was dissatisfied was that the double bed room became a double bed room, and the manager did not change it. Later, he asked for more quilts and duvet covers, but gave two sheets, which was barely improvised. The double room is not big, but the bathroom is smaller. Like other Italian hotels, there are no slippers, toothbrushes, and a good breakfast (in Italy).
Hotel location is good, 1-2 minutes walk to subway station. The service was super good: the brother at the front desk was very enthusiastic and gave us roses; when we returned to the room at night, we put slippers by the bed and gave us small sweets. Clean and sanitary, but the facilities are a bit dated, and the rooms on the side of the road are a bit noisy, but it did not affect my staying experience. Recommended!
Great hotel, but definitely not the best. Compared to ***darin Oriental Milan we stayed last year, this hotel really has a long way to go. Especially the service of the lounge cafe and the restaurant need to be improved a lot.
Mizhi Boutique Hotel...near the cathedral, except for the location. The room is really small. Enter a big iron door like a homestay, take a half-stairs, and take the elevator to the top. It's probably a few simple rooms separated by wooden boards on the first floor~ Feel free to deal with it during the last one or two nights before returning home. what
15 days, 14 nights in Italy, the most comfortable one of the 5 accommodations I stayed in. 1. The real big bed is not like other hotels / hotels that are made up of two small beds or do not even try to do it yourself. The cushions are very comfortable and the room is very spacious. 2. Breakfast is also OK. Vegetables and fruits can also provide boiled tea. 3. City tax 5 euros / person / night 4. Google navigation is not near but not difficult after the subway station exits Find
Great atmosphere 👍 Morning playlist just like at home👌 Good wine god cocktail good food 🙏 Thanks to the whole team👏. Maybe one day I'll have to come back on a Saturday!!! 🎤🎶🎵 Single room is queit , good sleeping 😴
Hotel was between central train station and city centre, we basically walked everywhere even to the Naviglio Grande and Sforza castle. I am a fan of NH hotels since we lived in Spain decades ago, though this one was not as chic as the one in pza Catalina in Turin. There is a park nearby and many good eating places all around including Insci, Nobu, Bici, MU Dim Sum etc. Good pizza at Napiz just minutes away. Breakfast was not bad, pity there wasn’t any freshly squeezed juice though. Otherwise it is located near huge avenues, so the area wasn’t too attractive, but it was convenient and suited our needs for a short stay.
The hotel is not the most recent, but the rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. Although the salsa is quite nice (however we have always found place in 4), breakfast is quite varied, with fresh and good quality products. Duomo and other interest points reach comfortable walking in about 15 minutes. Finally, what we must not forget is that the staff is really kind and efficient, and I will certainly return to it.
My daughter and I visited Hotel Oro Blu for the first time last October. Since then we have been back three times. We chose this hotel because it is located right at the metro station to go downtown to the city center/Duomo and has parking in the building attached to the hotel. The first time we stayed at a hotel closer to the center but it is a nightmare to drive in the center and it is forbidden to drive on some of the streets. So for us it is better to have easy access to parking and the metro and not have to deal with the crazy driving in the center. Hotel Oro Blu also has larger than average rooms for hotels in Milan so there is plenty of room for luggage, The beds and pillows are very comfortable. There is cute bar next door. But the main reason we keep returning is the staff at Hotel Oro Blu. Everyone from the front desk managers to the maids have been kind and helpful. Especially one front desk manager Matteo who makes us feel welcome every time we arrive welcoming us back and helping us with our luggage. They really make an extra effort to help make your stay as comfortable as possible. For example, one time the ice maker was out of ice so they ran next door to the bar and filled up an ice bucket for me. We are already looking forward to our next trip to Milan and Hotel Oro Blu!
