The hotel is in a good location and the rooms are very large. They are much larger than the 16-20 square meters mentioned on the website. The facilities in the room are slightly outdated, but clean and tidy. A large bed is made up of two small beds, each small The bed is 90cm wide and has a boiling kettle and coffee maker. It is suitable for Chinese people. There is no toothbrush and slippers. When booking a hotel online, a 12 Euro city tax will be charged for each room. Overall, it is a very cost-effective hotel.

This is a boutique hotel nearby the centre of Amsterdam, difficult to reach by car but it is common to all places downtown. The hotel is one of the oldest buildings of Amsterdam, going up to the 17th century after the city was fully burned from wooden houses in stone houses. Our apartment was on the last floor, basic but charming, clean and with all the necessary utilities. It was very warm (I like fresh air for sleeping so I opened the windows. The breakfast (extra 9.90 EUR) was worth the cost. You don't have better in a large hotel. As a bonus, you can prepare your own eggs yourself on a kind of mini teppanyaki . Personel is charming and very helpful. We were upgraded to the apartment Kloof, with is the house just on the next street, with a very nice view on the canal and the streets. Beds are excellent and I even overslept! The area, especially on the other side of the water is quiet noisy during the night with clubs and coffee shops, but it is everywhere in Amsterdam downtown (and my window was open). Should I go back to Amsterdam, I will definitively choose this hotel again.

We arrived early on 20th December and had previously asked through if we could check in early. They came back and told us we could, however, upon trying to check in we were told this was a reply and not from the hotel itself. We were permitted to leave our suitcases and we were permitted to check in slightly earlier than the 2.00 pm normal time. We were grateful of this as we were soaking wet from the rain. The stairs are exactly as described, very steep and quite difficult to navigate with big boots on, however we did get used to these. Our room 207 was directly over the street and facing The Amstel. It was very noisy, particularly late at night. Rowdy people fighting on 2 nights, early collection or delivery of bottles to a local bar, but we did get back to sleep. The beds were very comfortable but the mattresses did keep slipping to the side for some reason. Tea and coffee making facilities and a mini bar. A hundred euro deposit is taken upon arrival and any purchases from the mini bar are taken from this. This deposit also covers the loss of any key. I didn't feel safe in the room as the door opened directly into the room and there was no chain to prevent anyone else from coming in. We could use the door lock but an internal chain provides more reassurance that the door won't be opened from outside. The towels were very small and had seen better days, holes and although clean they weren't the best. Adequate but not great. Our room was not cleaned the first day as we had been out the entire day, got back about 4.15 exhausted and soaking wet and the room had not been seen to by then. The maid arrived at about 4.40 but we just asked for clean towels as we wanted our privacy at this point. The room had been empty all day we considered this to be rather late to be inconvenienced after getting back wet and exhausted. The next day the room was cleaned before we got back. As advertised, the hotel does not have a restaurant and doesn't provide breakfast. The staff are friendly and it's a perfect location. We were due to leave on Christmas Day but left a couple of days earlier. We would recommend this hotel, but if you like a lush bathroom, nice towels and a little more in the way of room service, then this hotel probably isn't for you.

Talk about the topics that everyone cares about, there are hot water bottles, disposable slippers, bed sheets are very clean (apparently washed), I live in the first floor room with stairs (don't know if there are other floors...), breakfast is average but also enough Eat, the location is very good, take a hundred or two meters is the palace, see a parking lot entrance, the parking lot should be underground, there is no city tax or something, eat a room to deliver the steak is good and not very expensive

Needless to say, the location of the hotel is convenient. It is about ten minutes away from the red light district. The breakfast is also very rich, and there are many restaurants nearby. Hotel facilities are good, the bathroom is also big, the only fly in the ointment is the table or shelf without luggage, the suitcase can only be placed on the ground. Regarding the service, I would like to say that this trip is the most dissatisfied place for me. We obviously did not smoke in the room, but we received the Warning paper, warning us not to smoke in the room, and went to the front desk to ask what happened. They said it was a staff member. I cleaned up the room and smelled of smoke. Next time I hope the hotel staff can confirm clearly, don't just pick up the guests, this feeling will make me not choose this hotel again next time. Other ratings are fair.

I wish there was a choice that was above average but less than very good. Amsterdam lodging was more expensive overall than I expected so we did pay more for this hotel than I would have normally. Its a good hotel in a great location. I am so happy we stayed near Rembrandt Square. The hotel itself is fine, but one of our two rooms had obviously been smoked in very recently even though there are no smoking signs everywhere. The bathroom was small but that is something typical of European hotels I have found. The hairdryer was awful. It kept over heating so I had to take breaks to dry my hair. The beds were very comfortable. and I loved that each room had a fridge so I could bring water or juice for the kids. Overall I think the best things about this hotel are the location and the comfortable beds. But they really should pay attention to the guests smoking in their rooms.

The front desk service looks at people. On the first day, the brother was careless while chatting with other people while doing check in. On the second day, the girl who checked out was more serious and professional. The hotel hardware is ok, but many details are not good, such as the cups in the room, two tea cups + two coffee cups are stained, one of the tea cups has a greasy handle, and the room is relatively large, but some small places have dust The location is really good, it is close to all the attractions, it is a central point, but there are many hotels nearby In addition, the city tax is close to one thousand and one nights, and the overall price is very average.

This hotel is beautiful! It’s a smaller hotel and more of a boutique type but definitely worth the stay!!! All the staff are very helpful! I’m a 29yo male from LA. I booked this hotel for a solo trip to Amsterdam for my Birthday! I booked a 3 night stay with a double room - 1 queen bed and breakfast included! The room was spacious for one person. It was very clean and the bathroom was amazing. Now about my experience: Upon arrival at around 8pm, I was greeted by 2 hotel staff. They welcomed me and offered me a complimentary beverage while they were checking me in. I opted for a coffee over champagne since I had just gotten off a flight and wanted to explore Amsterdam at night! After the hotel staff member had gotten everything sorted, she walked me to my room and showed me everything in the room! This was great customer service! My stay was very relaxing. My room was cleaned daily. The room had all the necessities. I loved that the room had a keurig coffee maker. The pods were changed DAILY! this was the perfect start to my morning everyday! This hotel is modern. The shower was amazing too. The room was modern and well designed. I definitely recommend booking a room with breakfast included!! It was WELL WORTH IT! Breakfast is from 7-10am. The breakfast was buffet style. They had everything you could want. It was so nice to have a good meal before starting my activities for the day. Book the breakfast! Now the hotel staff were also very kind. I do remember one man, he was just so delightful! He was an Asian man (sorry I forgot his name ). While at breakfast, he offered to have some dutch pancakes made for me! It was so nice! Now this hotel is located 15 min on tram to central station. If you don’t mind walking a lot, then this is not a bad spot. Walking is not even a big issue since public transport is so easy to use! I almost even recommend this place more because the city center of Amsterdam is a tourist trap! Go to places like De Pijp for a more local feel. The only thing I was bummed about this trip was that I saw other people had gotten a complimentary birthday surprise! I did not unfortunately. It did not spoil my trip but it would have been a nice touch! Overall I recommend this hotel to others wanting a nice quiet stay!

Amsterdam Oud Zuid
When booking the hotel, both of my friends and my friends clearly saw that it stated on Ctrip that it was less than two kilometers from Amsterdam Central Station. As a result, when I got off the train and looked at the map, I was about to leave the city of Amsterdam. The traffic was very inconvenient! ! ! It's really inconvenient! ! It takes more than an hour to get to the city center every day. The hotel is remote. If you plan to spend late in the city center every day, the suggestion is to book a hotel near the city. The night is a bit scary.

The Moevenpick Hotel offers a great view over the old town and is convenient accessable by train, tram, ship and car. I arrive on a rainy morning and was please with the friendly welcome by the Fornt Office Manager Mr. John Caucian who went the extra mile to make me feel special. This is very rare these days in a big hotel. He explained the Corona meassures, gave me tips for the town and a arranged a dining table and took time explain the views from my room in the 18th floor and the use the gym. All in a very polite and charming way. Next morning I got a personal welcome from the Manager during my breakfast. This personal service make me feel very special. Together with the clean and comfi room and for sure makes me coming back next time. Well done - Top service, great rooms and a very good location.

Amsterdam Oud Zuid
Overall, the hotel is nice and well located, surrounded by the main museums. There is plenty space in the bedroom. The furnituries are new as well as the bed, bed clothes and comforters. I would say that the room where I stayed was bad illumintated. My only complain is that the hotel did not enforcement what his staff said to me about the breakfast price. It was offered to me for 8 euros per person per day. When I made my check out I was obliged to pay 18 euros per person per day. To me it seems to be a normal practise at that hotel, since I did not see any token saying the breakfast price. Be aware too, when you are making your check out, the hotel will charge city taxe of you. In my case I had to pay 50 euros.

The location of the hotel is good. It is about a minute walk from the tram stop (No. 17), but the location is not in the city center, and it is quite convenient to take the tram. The service staff is very good and provide a lot of assistance. The breakfast provided by the hotel is also good, with a variety of drinks and bread. Since we only have one day of accommodation, we asked if we could leave our luggage when we checked out, and the hotel would be happy to help provide space for us! This is great! No need to run around with your luggage! It ’s just that some of the hot water bottles in the room do n’t work, and the bathroom hair dryers do n’t work either. But overall the price is very high! Cheap and convenient! If you come to Amsterdam next time, you should still stay here! Pretty recommended! The room is quite big overall!

I had another short break at the start of March in Amsterdam and once again stayed at this wonderful hotel. As always my stay was flawless from start to finish. The reception staff were so welcoming and friendly and my check in was handled swiftly and efficiently. Every member of staff, from my contact booking the room, the concierges, breakfast staff and even staff in passing are so helpful and cheerful. My room was immaculate and spotlessly clean. Very comfortable and an excellent bed. Every amenity has been thoughtfully taken care of. The hotel could not be better located for staying in Amsterdam. Although right on busy and lively Dam Square, once inside it is tranquil and elegant throughout. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. I am looking forward to returning very soon when the current travel restrictions are no longer in place. I wish everyone at the Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky well at this difficult time.

We stayed in this hotel during the Christmas holidays period for 2 nights and chose it due to it being very affordable and not far in distance from the city centre. Upon first arriving, we had to change rooms straight away after receiving a room without a shower head (so just the hose with no attachment..). However, this was quickly resolved by reception and we were moved immediately to another room on another floor with no problems in that room. The rooms are nice and big enough for a short stay, everything being clean and comfortable enough with lots of storage space for luggage etc. The hotel is a little bit of a distance from the centre... I would say about a 10/15 minute walk to the tram and then once you're on the tram depending where you want to go not too long... The travel from the train station from the airport was quite a distance, I think I remember this being about half an hour, but nothing too difficult. Overall, the stay was nice and is fine if willing to travel a little longer everyday to the centre, however I think because we were only on a short 3 day trip, staying somewhere closer would have saved a little bit of time. Also, if flight isn't until later on in the day and you want to explore still after checkout hours (which are early), the hotel keep your luggage which you can come back and collect when ready which is helpful, had no issues with using this service
