We arrived at 13:30 knocked to ask about parking. Jackie was helpful and pleasant. The accommodation has no parking but uses the car park at a solicitors (when they are closed) in the next road. As this was a flying visit we booked a small double with shared bathroom. The room was small with a comfortable double bed pushed up against the wall, a wash basin, tiny tv, tea and coffee. The bedroom and linen were clean, towels rather small. The shared bathroom however was not clean, the velux window could not be shut, the radiator could not be turned on and the room was freezing. The shower tray was cracked as was the shower head. Dreadful water pressure with the water barely coming out. The toiletries were a random selection of products left by other guests. Location good for town and within 5 minutes walking distance of the outstanding Annapurna restaurant.

We stopped here a night straight off the ferry and following a long drive from South Brittany. Owner moved her car so we could park out front of the guest house (amazing customer service as we have 3 very tired kids). She also offered to help bringing bags in to room (and help pack next morning). Room was what we needed - clean, comfortable and the breakfast was lovely. Price is really reasonable (for Breakfast and the room itself). There’s a CO-OP just around the corner and it’s a nice walk to the harbour (although we didn’t go). All in all we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Didn’t take any photos of the room etc but the place was cosy but not cramped even with 5 of us in there. Thanks

We stayed here the night before catching the eurotunnel (which is only 10 mins away) Mick and Shelley are so friendly, can't do enough for you. Easy to find with parking at the front. A lovely big christmas tree greeted us as soon as we walked through the front door and the place smelt lovely. We went up to our room which was a really nice family room with a huge window, we had our 2 dogs with us so they gave us a large room which was really thoughtful. The room itself was spotlessy clean as was the bathroom and the shower was really powerful! Tea and coffee making facilities in the room were also a nice touch. I can't fault it at all. Thank you for all your help we will definately stay again (with dog leads!) and recommend you to our friends and family. Thanks again x

It was a pleasure staying with you last week, me and my partner came down to watch a show at the lees cliff hall and thought we better book a room as it would be nice to stay in Folkestone for a little longer. Your staff were very lovely, kind and professional. At that time it was mentioned that the breakfast room / restaurant was undergoing renovations and offered us breakfast in room or a take away breakfast which was lovely! The room was clean and tidy as you would expect! And everyone went above and beyond! For £31.00 we were very impressed!! We shall certainly be staying with you again closer to xmas to sample your xmas menu when the restaurant is up and running! Thank you for your kindness! See you all again soon!

We only stayed one night when our coach holiday to Germany was cut short because of the pandemic closing borders they arranged one night at Clifton. Arriving after 10pm we found staff had stayed to make us an excellent 3 course meal. While it was a set menu there was a vegetarian option available for those who had requested it. The room we stopped in was scrupulously clean and very comfortable. Although in the circumstances we didn't bother to unpack our cases there was plenty of storage available. The facilities were exceptional, a well stocked hostage tray large table comfortable chairs and beds, the bathroom had both a shower and bath. The following morning the breakfast had plenty of variety and the dining room was scrupulously clean. The staff were helpful and pleasant Due to the unusual circumstances of the stay I cannot comment on price and or value for money but I would definitely consider another stay and recommend this establishment

Lots of fried stuff but eh ho needs must. Good nights sleep followed by a perfect buffett breakfast. 2 people £70 cant beat it Only criticism really needed more staff as when they were doing check in you had to wait for drinks and food. We day tripped to Calais on le Shuttle and stayed overnight on our return. I was able to check in on line before we arrived which saw a seemless allocation to our room. We had Room 210 on the third floor. It was clean and fresh. The bath shower were spotlessly clean and the shower had a big paddle head and was much enjoyed. There was a chaiselongue in the room but the normal armchair was no longer available. There was a desk chair, this was not comfortable to sit on to watch TV. We went to the bar and had a couple of drinks. Large glass of wine and a pint of bitter. VERY Expensive. I don't know why they presume to be able to charge so much as the two drinks were well over £10. We had eaten in France and so we rerired to our room to watch TV without using the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and we had a very comfortable stay as expected.

We booked a family room for a night - it was a nice spacious room with a great view. It is a dated property with dated decor in the hallways. The reception is not manned and the front door key doesn't work as well as it should (requires quite a bit of jiggling). Our bathtub had a blocked drain so we had to shower in standing water, not ideal when all of us were covered in sand from the beach. (Staff were aware and it was recurring problem) It was a hot day but they didn't have any fans we could use so none of us slept well that night. We had to keep the windows open for air, but then the seagulls screeching by 4am added to the sleep disturbance. They had included breakfast but there was no hot food - just meat and cheese platter, butter, and jam and cereal, so don't expect sausages or eggs! The hotel recommend Skuba restaurant nearby - its only good for alcohol, not worth it for food. Sunny sands beach at Folksetone is nice, otherwise best sandy beach is at Greatstone, 40 minutes drive away but sooo worth it!

We travelled as a family of 5 from Preston Lancashire to Disneyland Paris. We needed a suitable room for 5 to stay at to break up our journey. We booked the Wycliffe as it looked lovely online and is very close to the channel tunnel. So pleased we did! After a 5 hour drive down the UK we checked in at the Wycliffe easily and had a lovely family room ready for us. It was clean and warm and the owners are on hand for anything you need, for example I asked for a hair dryer and it was provided. We also ordered take away and used the dining room to eat in. We travelled to Disneyland and had the Wycliffe booked for the return journey home. Again a lovely stay over and a fantastic breakfast before check out at 10.30. Would highly recommend

Room was shabby, bathroom was very small. You can't brush your teeth with the door closed, or finish using the toilet without banging your head on the basin! Toilet seat in the bathroom was disgusting, and the lino was stained due to water leakage from the shower. The carpet was uncomfortable to walk on, and the floorboards were very creaky. Bed was comfortable, and we found the lights above the bed were too bright. A definite lack of power points, especially either side of the bed, so I had to physically get out of bed to turn my alarm off on my phone, which was charging overnight on a power point on the other side of the room, as there was no power point beside the bed. No power point by the table either, so couldn't plug my laptop in, so had to use the one by the bathroom to plug both that and my hairdryer in. I know it wasn't the weather for sitting on the balcony, but the chairs on it balcony were VERY dangerous - they had the wooden slats missing, and the very rusty screws were sticking upwards. Breakfast was good, a nice choice of cereals, fruit, yogurts, and the good old full English fry up. The seating in the lounge area was looking very drab, tired, and worn. Despite all my grumbles, the service in both the reception area and breakfast area was excellent, and the staff were friendly. Parking was good, £2 per day, available through the hotel. A good location for the Leas Cliff Hall, which is why we booked the Southcliff.

We stayed at the Hampton by Hilton for the Scottish Oct week. It was very clean, I was apprehensive of how hotels were during Covid-19 and had read a lot of reviews for where to stay in Blackpool based on since when COVID-19 started and the Hampton by Hilton got some of the best reviews and it far surpassed my expectations. From check in the place was very clean, all staff were wearing masks, they explained that daily cleaning service had been suspended but if you wanted your room cleaned that day you just needed to say, or if you needed new towels or toilet roll they could give it to you at reception, which is great as it limits human interaction. Dinner: we ended up eating dinner there three of the four nights as I found a lot of places were crowded whilst they had us well spread out and ensured ppl had masks on whilst moving around. The food was nice if a small menu, the staff were great very friendly and helpful. Room: we stayed in room 304 and it is at the back of the hotel partially overlooking the carpark and partial sea view, it was two king sized beds which were really comfortable and we slept well, it had lots of charging points which in this day of electronics was great. I think it could benefit from a wee shelf on the side nearest the window as there was a table on my side and on the other side of the other bed. It has a heating and cooling system and a good shower but doesn’t have a hairdryer in the room so remember to take your own. Breakfast: was well organised and really tasty. There was a great selection of both hot and cold items, coffee and tea there was even chocolate or strawberry milk for the children. The staff were very vigilant and challenged a couple of lads who had come down to breakfast without masks or lanyards to say they didn’t need to for medical reasons, they came back down with masks. Location: the tram station is across the road but it is easily walkable to get to both the south and central pier, pleasurebeach is about a five minute walk whilst the south pier is maybe about ten minutes depending on if the wind is hitting you. There is also lots of hand gel located throughout the hotel which was good. Overall if I was coming back to Blackpool I’d definitely recommend/stay at this hotel again, the staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were immaculate and well thought out, it was a good location and breakfast was tasty. Thank you for making our family stay enjoyable, my daughter had never been to Blackpool and I hadn’t been since I was three which wasn’t yesterday!

I stayed here and you certainly get what you pay for. Room was basic but clean and all you needed to rest your head for a night. I unfortunately left my headphones at the hotel and was distraught when I found out as I live 3 hours away, however the manager was more than accommodating and sent them back via an envelope I sent them and I could not be more thankful. It may not seem like a lot, but my headphones are needed for my everyday so when they arrived back safely I was overjoyed. Nothing is too much for the manager, really nice and would recommend staying again! Thank you so so much.

We stayed here overnight as going out with friends. There was a derby match on with Fleetwood so bar filled up pretty quickly after the game. But what a fab atmosphere. There was a lovely gentleman that greeted us on arrival & advised the car park was full up but gave us a free voucher to park at Travelodge. There was no places at the time but after 15 mins wait we secured a parking place. Said gentleman (concierge) is by far a massive asset to the hotel. Our room was lovely & view spectacular, everything you needed for a night away plus more. We went into the bar fir some lunch & although it seemed to take ages it was well worth the wait. We were very late getting back 3.30am (dirty stop outs) but were greeted so warmly on our return & had a chat & laugh with security. Breakfast this morning was amazing, only down fall was no black pudding & fried eggs a little sad but the scrambled eggs were as light as a feather. I burnt the toast & set fire to it (my fault) but the staff just laughed, very nicely & sorted it. Check out as check in was as smoith as ever & lots of chat. We will definitely return as quite simply, the whole experience was a poor joy

This is a tremendous place to stay if you want to enjoy Blackpool. Number One is located on South Beach close to where the illuminations start. This means being an easy walk from the tram stop that gives easy access to the whole of Blackpool (for a £5 a day hop on hop off ticket). The trams run back until around midnight. A taxi to the Tower is about £7.50 if you prefer. And if you want to walk this is just as easy and completely free... There are dedicated parking spaces and plenty of on road free spaces that are free and safe. Number one has a tremendous welcome - the two girls that greet you, escort you personally to your room to go through the facilities and look after you at the well stocked bar are friendly, happy and helpful. The help, generosity and welcome is extended by Mark who was able to provide first class recommendations for restaurants and shows (we took up the recommendation to see Kinky Boots which was exceptional) and he was kind enough to provide a discount code for the Winter Garden. What strikes you when visiting is the quality of the decor, fixtures and furniture throughout Number One. The owners take great pride in their property and it shows. It’s modern, funky, clean and bright. The rooms are all well appointed, clean and well maintained. We had number 12 on the third floor. This is serviced by a lift or staircase. The sea view is good and the room boasts tv, whirlpool bath, shower, remotes for lighting, small balcony, seating area and comfy bed. The box of nick nacks that could be little essentials in the wardrobe is a super touch. The bar area is a generous social area and the range of drinks wide and various. Service is until 11:00pm after which time and honesty bar works if you want a night cap or longer chatting. Breakfast selections are made the evening before to save wastefulness and works really well. It’s a wide menu along with a buffet for fruit, cereals etc. The quality of what Mark cooks is exceptional. The fresh orange is a must. It can be cold in Blackpool but Number 1 can be really hot... Number 1 is a credit to the owners and staff. An award winner. And one of our favourites from our travels - no mean feat.

I booked online to stay at the Las Palmas hotel for 3 nights. I then received a phone call about an hour later informing me they had to close the hotel for ‘technical issues’ however they would put us in their sister hotel The Royal Windsor instead which was like for like. When we arrived to the location it was nothing like the pictures I had seen for Las Palmas and certainly was nothing ‘Royal’ about it. We checked in and found out there was an additional £10 per night for the dog and an additional £5 a night for car parking. I had seen online about paying extra for pets however not for parking. Anyway I paid this and the full amount for the room for 3 nights. We did not get to park our car in the car park that night as it was full so we had to park elsewhere even though we had paid. Our hotel room was tiny. The lights were flickering and everywhere smelt of cigarettes and smoking from the rooms.Myself and my husband hardly slept a wink due to the amount of noise from downstairs ‘entertainment’ and the noise, arguing, shouting, banging etc from guests. Again we wasn’t informed of entertainment in the hotel when we was changed over. The next day I spoke to a lady on reception and complained and explained we wanted to leave and didn’t want to stay there. Miraculously Las Palmas hotel was then avaible and they would move us over to there as they didn’t have many guests or any entertainment etc so would be a lot quieter and more suited to us. We arrived, the lady on reception was absolutely lovely and even let me choose between 2 rooms. The hotel itself was a lot nicer, the room was a bit bigger so we were happy. However the noise again kept us up until gone 2am. I went and spoke to the same lady on the desk in the morning and said we where leaving to go home and not staying for our third night as we were knackered and I am 3 months pregnant so I need to rest and sleep. Again she was lovely and very uunderstandable and gave me the telephone number to speak with the manager. I later phoned and spoke with the manager who was VERY rude and questioned everything I said and said I should of done something about it at 2am in the morning. I explained I didn’t fancy going downstairs at 2am in my Pj’s etc but I did take recordings of the noise which I would happily email across. I said I Would at least like my money back for the car park that we had not used the first night and for the third night I had paid for staying but we was not then using... he consistently said this isn’t something they do. Refund. I asked why we had been moved to the royal Windsor in the first place after booking online and he couldn’t give me an answer for this also. The ‘manager’ then hung up the phone on me twice. Not very professional. I asked to speak to someone higher or who owned the hotel in order to sort this but the ‘manager’ would not give me any details or tell me anyone I could speak with in regards to this as he is the one who deals with everything and he doesn’t give

Arrived and were welcomed by Veronica and Bob, both wonderful and friendly people. Taken to room on top floor as requested, clean, tidy and wonderful room, only downside is I'm What one would call large and the gap between the toilet and sink is small but I squeezed through lol Shower worked well, bathroom although small was wonderfully clean, I'd even go as far as to say pristine! No noise at all virtually at any time but night times are silent and peaceful, breakfast is amazing, full English with toast, conserves and butter, coffee or tea, cereals, fruit and fresh orange the works! The hot breakfast was cooked to perfection and tasted brilliant a definite 10/10 on that side of things! The dining room is immaculate and Veronica and Bob are careful to protect from covid, the tables are covered after they are cleaned with plastic sheets to make sure nothing can deposit on them when people walk past etc.... Wanted to stay another night and Bob not only worked around other clients he even gave me a small discount too! I'd highly recommended this small, cosy hotel, away from the main strip but a 3 minute walk to the tram stop, the owners are friendly, helpful and make a stunning breakfast! Extra duvets on wardrobe in case you need them. Both Bob and Veronica will.help you What ever your needs, amazing couple x Don't hesitate to book here!
