What a gem! Beautiful historic home with all the modern amenities. Mark and Leslie are so warm and welcoming. We stayed two nights for our anniversary and felt very at home. Little things like specialty tea and homemade cookies, were a delight. Our room (the Library) was spacious - a suite really - and the bed was luxurious; we both slept great! I love bed and breakfasts and always look forward to the breakfast. It did not disappoint! Mark is a culinary chef and Leslie is a nutritionist - so it was delicious AND I felt good eating it:) All wholesome ingredients and well thought out menus. The weather was not great, so we didn't take the walks we had planned around Reservoir Park across the street and Tower Grove nearby. We'll definitely be back when the weather is better and take those walks. This will be our go-to place for weekend getaways!

There are two burger shops around, there is a gas station, the room is very thin, and there is basically no quilt. Is relatively cheaper, open, and the stairs are outside

We stayed four nights at this beautiful Bed and Breakfast. The room we stayed in was the Riverfront and it was so comfortable and we loved the bathroom and the stained glass windows were wonderful in the room Bed was super comfy and it is a spotless establishment. Lisa the owner was lovely and her breakfast each day were great, you can tell she takes great care in deciding what to serve her guests. . She also gave us great dining and activity recommendations which we really appreciated. Breakfast each morning surrounded by the beautiful stained glass was amazing. If back in the area we would certainly stay here again !

We stayed at Home2Suites for three nights. We originally planned for two nights until our car was broken into in the hotel parking lot at 5am. We were notified that morning quickly after someone had reported it and Tonia was more than helpful, courteous, and professional. She went out of her way to help us contact the police and make sure we didn’t need anything. Because of the break in, we were forced to stay another night, unable to make the 5 hour trip home. We were reassured our second night would be comped by the hotel for what happened. In the meantime, we also received help cleaning the car and area from Adis who was great. Later that day, there were undercover cops who came to find more about what happened that night. We definitely felt left in the dark on what exactly happened to our car overnight in the parking lot and there was a lack of information given to us about what the hotel management found out from security footage. We were worried about our car all night as it sat in the parking lot again, this time without a window. We finally got it fixed on our own the following morning and proceeded to check - out. We asked for the bill and saw that we had been charged for all 3 nights, though we were told we would be comped for the second night because of what happened. We proceeded to inform the assistant manager that we were told we would get the second night back and she said that nobody ran that by management, they aren’t liable for anything that happens in the parking lot, and that she could not do that for us. We have stayed at the Home2Suites several times while in the St. Louis area but I do not think we will return. After what happened we no longer feel safe leaving our car in an unsecured parking lot and though we did have some help from a few friendly workers at the hotel, we definitely would have liked to have seen more sympathy and care from management.

I cannot thank the staff at this hotel enough! We live 4 hours from STL, and at 11pm we got the call a donor match was found for my dad! We immediately packed up and drove through the night (with it raining the whole time) to take him to SLU. I dropped my parents off and had been up for 24 hours and needed to sleep. My mom usually stays at this hotel because of the discount given for medical stays/visits. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to get a room or not since it was 6am. Kelli greeted me and asked how she could help. I explained to her the situation and if it was possible to get a room. She informed me it was too early for check in. At that moment I thought I’d have to find somewhere to sleep in my car. Kelli then said we can make this work. She got me a room and said check out would be the next day. She said breakfast was ready if I was hungry after driving all night as well. I got my card key and headed up to the room to finally sleep. The room was so clean and warmed up for the cool weather. The kindness and understanding I was shown meant so much! I will be coming back anytime we are back in STL!

We stayed at the Benton Park Inn last weekend. It is across the street from a beautiful park with fountains, a bridge and a tennis court. The neighborhood is a wonderful walking area. And, in this Covid travel time, we felt safe. We normally stay in small hotels but this B&B felt much cleaner. We wore masks whenever we were in the house, and breakfast was timed so we did not eat at the same time as another guest. Dan was a spectacular host, with a great heart and skilled chef for breakfast. He made us feel welcome and showed us the kitchen and refrigerator, stocked with water. (There may have been more, but that's all we used.) We will definitely be back on our next trip south. Thanks, Dan!

My husband and I stayed Friday through Sunday. I booked this hotel because it was the most affordable at the time. I did read a lot of reviews prior which concerned me due to some reporting issues with cleanliness and that the area was sketchy. We arrived Friday early but spent time at the Science museum (which is free) to kill time because check in isn’t until 3pm and checking in early is a $25 fee. We arrived around 430pm and were promptly checked in by Kevin. We were supposed to stay in room 305 but our room keys would not work and Missy quickly changed us to room 310 after reporting that that room continually has that issue. The room was clean and smelled fine. The hotel is in an ok area, not somewhere you would wander. Anywhere in St. Louis you are at risk of having your car broken into and signs are posted all over the city regarding this so please make sure no belongings are left in the car (even phone chargers). We had no issues with our room other than the next day the room key wouldn’t work and we were told they accidentally forgot the additional day, but it was fixed in under 2 minutes. Check out was a breeze, you do have to check out before 11am or it is a $25 fee. A lot of people were there for the cardinals game, but it was quiet at night and we slept well. We never ate breakfast there so I cannot speak to that. Theirs no longer a pool. Would recommend for those looking for somewhere clean to sleep while they enjoy the city. It doesn’t have the extra amenities the other hotels do downtown, but you get what you pay for. All staff was very helpful and courteous.

I’ve been a Spire Elite in IHG since 2002. Have been in hundreds of their properties. This one has a very upscale, boutique, dare I say Kimptonian mystique to it. I’m going to go ahead and put the couple of downsides out there first so I can focus on what makes this a place to consider if you can get past the quirks. First— limited short time check in parking area big enough for perhaps two to three cars. And yes — people act like selfish fools how they park. Second — because of a lack of garage parking attached to building, you may be tempted to follow traffic down the block and try the garage with the blue sign — don’t ! They will give you four minutes of free parking to turn your dumb hind end around and get out. The garage you want to park at is at Sixth and Pine. Ignore that GPS voice on your CarPlay and park up a block on Sixth. You will have to hoof it back a bit, but it’s a reasonable 20 bucks for a 24 hour period. Now for the pluses. The place has character. Love the small vintage lobby with the phone alcove. Also love the interior of the elevator cars. The hallways have a swanky decor and the numbers above and offset to doors are a really cool touch. I had a corner king room on a higher level. Sadly the road noise remains jarring and if you’re a light sleeper, you might want to consider ear plugs. The room is comfortable and laid out well. The shower was fabulous. The bathroom pocket door is a space saving feature. Plenty of USB ports for us techno-geeks. The bed was sooooooo comfortable and the linens were a cut above the usual fare. Also really enjoyed the bay window area with the cushions to sit in and work on laptop and occasionally watch the traffic and city sights move by. Staff were competent and friendly. I always used to dread coming to this town because of the dearth of choice on the IHG portfolio. If they could also put in a Kimpton and an EVEN location, you’d capture more travelers in other segments. This Indigo is very close to the historic sites and the Arch. Less than a ten minute walk.

I stayed at this property in the midst of the COVID 19 outbreak and the staff went out of their way to ensure that the stay was as comfortable as possible. Marcus, Cindy and Luis were standouts and went above and beyond to make sure that I was taken care of. Even though social distancing was practiced, I was made to feel unwelcome and even though there’s a lot of anxiety about contracting the virus, they were as personable and accommodating as they could be under the circumstances. The property was spotless and proof that the housekeeping staff worked diligently to provide guests with a clean and sanitized environment. My room was spacious with an amazing bed and just the right of shower pressure. It made showering and lounging the highlights of my day. The WiFi was fast and reliable and there were no issues with any of the electronics in my room. I can’t speak to the location or restaurant. With everything being closed, I didn’t get to eat there or walk around the area. What I did get was a 5 star experience from an amazing staff that showed their commitment to their guests in every way possible. I highly recommend this property and praise the staff for their commitment to service.

Reserved a couple evenings at the Angad through a discount website for Valentine's weekend. Open for less than two years, new and clean fixtures throughout were no surprise. There is a distinct foreign influence to this place, and honestly, I'd say the midwest could use all the culture we can get. The room felt small, but that is to be expected in using the old building for the new hotel. The bathroom was very nice, but some things seemed out of place. For example, the hand towel rings are behind you as you stand at the sink, closer to the shower than the sink. There was only one two-receptacle outlet in the bathroom which proved to be inconvenient. Speaking of outlets, I was surprised at the lack of even a single usb/charging port in the entire room. With an average nightly rate of near/over $200 a night, I'd expect modern day charging amenities to be plentiful. Similarly, the television seemed rather small for a place charging a premium. Not surprising was the mini-bar prices. A bottle of water cost more than a shooter of vodka. The staff were rather attentive and kind. Upon our arrival the valet was ready and while a bellman offered to unload and take our bags to the 12th floor lobby, he seemed unsure what to do when we found we were in a line to check in. I wound up tipping him for almost taking our bags to our room. The bar on the top floor was rather elegant, however the hipster bartender seemed more focused on "tasting" his own work (he literally slurped a sample off the back of his hand after every drink he made) than attending to those in line in a timely manner. He was rather proud of a drink he insists he created called "The Irish" which was billed as a whiskey-tini but tasted like pine-sol mixed with bitters. I expected more for a drink which cost twelve dollars. The first morning there, I needed a simple cup of coffee. I made my way downstairs to the hotel restaurant where I was met by a man who rather abruptly told me, "If all you want is coffee, it's going to take me a while to get to you." Overall, the novel idea of rooms themed entirely around color is, well, novel. However, I cannot imagine spending anywhere near their asking price and being happy with our stay.

Enjoyed our 2 night stay. Our room was clean, nice white sheets on the bed. 4 pillows on each bed- very fluffy. The bathroom was clean and modern. The only issue was the bathroom sink was far from the edge, difficult for my young child to use/reach. Plenty of towels. The housekeeping staff was very friendly and offered more clean towels on the second day. The staff at the front desk, very polite. Since we had stayed last year, they had our info in the system. Very easy check in. If you are looking for a hotel in the Festus area, I would choose this one. The breakfast was excellent, lots of choices. The pancake machine was fascinating. Really good pancakes! Juice, eggs, coffee, meats, breads, cereals, yogurt, fresh hot oatmeal and fruit choices. Pool was warm and enjoyable during the winter day. Had a great stay. Thank you!

I don’t understand how anyone can give the Four Seasons less than 5 stars. Had a wonderful in town get away. The room was so lovely, the bed was incredibly comfortable, the staff was awesome, and room service was so delicious. The spa is expensive for St. Louis, but it’s true pampering, especially the lounge area. The restaurant is first class and if the weather is good, the outside area has a great urban feel and view of the Arch.

Amazing venue. The light shows in the historic main lobby are dazzling. Order bar food and set yourself up for an evening of entertainment. The guest rooms are sheltered under the historic train barn, replete with reflection pools, restaurants and, of course, the 400-ft ferris wheel. Of special note is the brand new Saint Louis Aquarium. It is worth the price itself you take your time. You can rush it in an hour, but budget at least 2- 2-1/2 hours and take it s-l-o-w-l-y.

We turned up at 1pm hoping to check in. The overall area is run down. The parking lot was empty and a lot of rubbish was lying around, so not a great start. Inside was a reception desk which was behind a plastic screen and unmanned. I phoned the number shown behind the plastic screen and was told check in was 3pm and the earliest would be about 2pm. Back at 2pm someone was there but was unfriendly and surly. We asked for a room on the top floor but were told that wasn’t possible because of something to do with smoking. We wanted a laundry which it was supposed to have but didn’t. So we cancelled the next 2 nights (too late to cancel the first). This meant we didn’t get the 15% discount which was fair but the room rate went from around $66 to $90 which I was told was the “standard rate”. The actual room was OK but the experience was horrible. There was also a charge of $1.50 for a room safe which was removed only after the room was inspected to make sure we hadn’t used it. In all my years staying in hotels all over the world this was the worst ever. Wyndham should not associate with this as a Super 8.

From the second that Hotels.com dropped the ball on my reservation, Kenya M., Event Specialist for the Courtyard Marriott St. Louis, picked it up. By the time we reached St Louis, she had taken care of everything to make my stay enjoyable. We hugged like old friends upon check in, she is that kind of person. Hotels are so impersonal. You feel like a number, as nice as most check ins are, they are missing the intangible, how to make you feel like a long lost friend and welcome you like you are home. Kenya is that type of caretaker. She was so worried about my reservation, she actually came in early to make sure everything went smoothly. A real professional and such an asset to Marriott. I am grateful to her for the genuine caring she showed us. The hotel is beautiful and full of character. They have a wonderful bar area where you could order a coffee, a beer or a burger, all from the friendliest bartenders you will meet. The location is more than ideal, you literally walk across the covered alley to the door of the Convention center. Now to my room. Pictures do not do justice to the size of these rooms. Huge. Clean. Comfortable. Wonderful amenities and room to just relax after a day out and about. The best part was the cleanliness of my room. I had the pleasure of meeting our housekeeper, Quinn W. I consider myself quite picky. This room was spotless and when we were checking out she said she was going to miss us. You will feel welcomed here like it is home.

You know you are in a historic hotel as soon as you enter. There is plenty of ornate woodwork and an old fashioned front desk with very friendly and helpful staff. My room was very comfortable with a ceiling fan and overhead lighting that has a bright or dim setting. The bathroom is small, and mine was a simple shower, but with plenty of hot water and pressure. The bar is a friendly place to unwind in the evening. Breakfast is not included with the room, but there is a full service restaurant on the first floor. There is a parking garage out th eback door with good rates for downtown St. Louis. I would stay here again when in town for business.

This was my first trip to St. Louis and in addition to a business meeting, I was in town for a Stars road game, so the location of the property was ideal. Upon arrival, I was given a rock-star greeting by the front desk agent. I had an early morning flight, so I arrived at the hotel about six hours ahead of check-in time. The $25 early check-in fee was something I would usually balk at, but the attitude of the staff more than made up for it, so I had no problem paying it. Room Service That morning, I ordered room service, which is where the “hiccups” occurred. I ordered three a la carte times, all in the $3-$3.50 range. Collectively, I had no problem paying about $12 for a room service meal, but one of the items was sourdough toast. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but $3 for one slice of bread and some jam seemed a bit much. It was also delivered with no napkin, plastic wares, and no condiments in a to-go box. I had also asked for water, which did not arrive. Not a big deal because there were two bottles of water in the room. The next morning, I would find out why this food was delivered this way. As far as the food itself went, it was very good. The next morning, I again ordered room service, but when the front desk answered, I was informed the hotel does offer room service. My assumption was that the day before, the restaurant staff was just kind enough to run the order up to me, which explained why I got everything with to-go wares. So, I went downstairs to place an order. Again, the food was excellent and the restaurant staff itself was very kind. It just seemed a bit weird to me, though, that they have menus in the room and the TV menu says to call “service” to place an order, yet, they apparently have no formal room service. The Room I was staying in a junior suite, which was exceptionally clean and comfortable. My ONLY real knock on the room itself is that the bar had no price list on it. Had there been a price list, I probably would have used the bar items in the room. Since it was a suite, though, I could see how an unsuspecting guest could think these items were complimentary and run up a few hundred dollar tab on the wet bar and snacks (I am a former hotelier and know these were not freebies, so I managed to avoid that trap.) I did address this issue with the front desk manager upon checkout. In terms of amenities, the internet was a real issue for me. I work from home, so having a quick connection is a must, and this connection was very slow the entire weekend. What normally takes me about four hours was taking about six during my stay. If there would have been an option to purchase quicker internet at a reasonable price, I would have taken it. Lobby Bar The staff at the lobby bar was both exceptional and helpful. After going out for dinner on my first night, I stopped by the bar and was immediately greeted and served. The patrons were friendly and it was very easy to strike up a conversation. On my second ni

The hotel staff was delightful and helpful, answering any questions we had and letting us leave our car in the lot on our last day so we could visit the arch without having to pay for downtown parking. The room was perfectly serviceable and clean. Free wi-fi, TV, fridge, and microwave were all appreciated. The free breakfast consisted of donuts and muffins along with granola bars and honey-buns. The drinks were coffee, tea, and apple juice. This is not a resort place - it's a budget hotel - but for those who just want a place to hang out and sleep during a trip, this is a great place. The location is a little weird. It's right next door to Lumiere Casino, but the street-facing part of the hotel is the across a free-way underpass where homeless people tend to gather. Also, the walk along that street is the back of the casino and not really a walk I'd suggest. However! If you circle around the back of the hotel, the walking route there is much nicer and only 2-3 minutes to the front of the casino and Laclede's Landing area. The arch is visible and you can walk along the river.

We found ourselves doing an emergency cross country trip from AZ to Chicago. With the pandemic in full swing our hotel priorities have included 1- windows that open 2-no interior hallways Secondary considerations that need to be met were safe, quiet, clean as non negotiable and good WiFi as added extra. This little hotel met and exceeded on all of the above criteria. I will agree with others that it is a bit dated and worn, but it was excellent value and the staff were very welcoming. With most newer hotels being right along noisy highways this little place was a few miles from rout 55 and gave us the quiet we needed for a really sound nights sleep. Hot water was abundant, tiny fridge and microwave that we did not need was a nice touch. Coffee and muffins included for breakfast got us started right. WiFi worked very well. Worked well for us.

We stayed here last night (October 15th) for my birthday. To say the stay was disappointing is an understatement. There are many things that are no longer happening due to Covid, but for some reason in the last 7 months they haven't bothered to update their website accordingly. First, we ONLY chose this hotel as they offered cookies and milk nightly. This was the deciding factor in where we stayed for my birthday. Upon check-in when I asked what time it started was told "this was the first thing to go due to Covid." Secondly, room-service is also no longer an option...which we were told at check-in when we asked about the hours. However, the website still says it's an option and also includes a menu. We were told that Rubio's was open from 5-10pm nightly and we decided that this would have to work for snacks since both cookies and room service weren't options. We called down to the restaurant at 8:53 to place an order...and shocker, they were closing at 9pm and not the advertised 10pm on the sign outside the hotel and as told by the front desk. So, this was strike 3 as far as food options go on property. It amazes me that Marriott allows its property to falsely advertise things that they haven't been offering for 7 months. It would be understandable had Covid guidelines just been put in place a couple weeks ago, but they have negligently chosen not to update their amenities...probably to continue to get guests in the door. Once you arrive it's too late to cancel without penalty. Outside of not being able to get food on property, the room was filthy. The shower had large chunks of dirt in the bottom of it (see attached photo). I'm not sure if the pipes have dirt in them or if someone covered in mud took a shower prior to our arrival. Either way, it hadn't been cleaned. The trashcan also had trash remaining in it. The carpet had some sort of sand-like mixture on that was felt when we walked barefoot on it. I called the desk about the state of the room, but was told they didn't have any more "larger King rooms available" and that is what we had paid for. We weren't offered an upgrade and we didn't want to change to a smaller room since we had paid for the larger one. About 11:45 we smelled a very strong rotten egg smell for approximately 15 minutes. We assumed it was sulfur from lack of pipe usage due to the hotel not being very full. However, it was very unpleasant while it lasted. Instead of misleading people booking rooms with your property, you should update your website to reflect current offerings and not let people believe they're paying for things they aren't getting. Also, since stay over housekeeping isn't an option anymore either, the rooms should be adequately cleaned prior to guests arrival. We're glad we cancelled our 2nd night upon arriving to the property otherwise we would have been stuck there tonight as well.

Stayed here twice in the last 3 weeks, once on the way driving down to Florida, and again on the way back home because we enjoyed our stay so much. Room was wonderful. Clean, incredibly tall ceilings, comfy bed. Service was great overall--we needed extra blankets and pillows for our kids, and they were prompt to bring them up on both visits. The folks working the breakfast were very friendly, checking in to see if we needed anything, clearing dishes, etc. Front desk guys were fine--the one on the first visit was on his phone and just looked kind of sloppy, but was friendly enough. The second visit check in was fine with a different guy working. Breakfast was great--lots of great options. Workout room was much more than I'm used to with hotels, so that was very appreciated. Pool and hot tub were also nice. On our first visit both seemed a bit dirty--the hot tub in particular had lots of the nasty solid foam floating around with lots of dead skin or other stuff mixed in, but I was able to get past it and enjoy a soak, though my wife was not able to enjoy it. The second visit both were very clean. This hotel is a great location. We opted to book with parking included, which we were grateful for, even for the extra cost. The valet workers were great, and had our vehicle ready to leave promptly after we called down prior to checking out. Biggest complaint was probably that there is no free wifi. I just made my phone a hotspot because I can't stand paying for wifi outside of my own home. Seems a bit silly to not have that offered, as every other place we stayed on our 2 week trip had it for free, even though some of the places didn't have great wifi, at least it was available for free. Enjoyed this place, and would stay again. It's a bit spendy, but we wanted something comfortable, downtown, and with a good breakfast included. Worth it.
