The staff at the LaClarisse was very warm and hospitable. Everyone had sound English skills and solid knowledge of Rome. The rooms were boutique like as we stayed in two different rooms because we extended our stay. Beds were comfortable, refrigerators in the rooms and the decor respected the historic nature of the property. Street noise can be a bit high in some rooms so if you are a light sleeper make sure you ask for a quiet room. The number 8 tram stop is within 300 feet of the front door of the hotel. A trip to the end of the number 8 line takes you within walking distance of many of the sites such as the Trevi fountain, Spanish steps and Pantheon. Switching to the number 23 bus, only two stops on the 8 tram from the hotel, takes you to the Vatican.

The welcome, location and room exceeded our expectations. Everything was very new and also very clean, the location perfect. Have to give a special thank you to David who was absolutely amazing. He helped us when our travel plans didn't go according to plan and made a bleak day a much better one, so thank you David! We plan on coming back to Rome and would love to stay at Sweet Dreams again!

I love this place. Found in online and I’ll definitely return. There’s no sign out front and only five rooms so you feel like you’re in a private residence with all the perks of a hotel. The front desk manager, Royce, is friendly and more than willing to help with anything that you might need or want. The rooms are tastefully decorated and clean. Comfy bed. Zesty shower. The most popular pizzeria in the neighborhood is just next door. The main attraction is the location, right in the middle of fabulous Trastevere. Only about a five minute walk from the river; twenty to the Pantheon, twenty five to the Forum and Colosseo. And, Trastevere itself is charming and packed with mom and pop restaurants and bars. I’m grateful for this hotel and look forward to returning.

It was an “okay” stay but has a lot of room for improvement. Air conditioning works good, good water pressure in shower. Nice area with a lot to do and a laundromat on same street 100 yards away. Cons were that we were only given one key (that’s all that was available) for 4 people. 3 keys are needed to get to your room. One for outside, a different one for the hall and a third for the room. The breakfast wasn’t much for people who watch their carbs. Mostly pastry with a couple cheeses. We did most of our sightseeing by “hop on, hop off” buses. It’s about a 15-20 minute walk to the nearest stop. There are a lot of restaurants/shops in the very close area. WiFi was average at best. Everything considered, it was decent. Room for improvements, but they try. I

I travelled end of May with my wife and 1yr old daughter. The owner, Andres, is really nice and very helpful. Now some tips, - The place is in the very centre of Trastevere, which is great for anyone whom is travelling for a relaxation holiday. - The room was great although the bathrooms are not ensuite but in the corridor to which you are given a key. If anyone will be travelling with small children like myself, I suggest to speak with Andres and arrange to be given a bathroom with a bath, since ours was with a shower and its a bit difficult to manage with young children. - Since the place is in the centre and having a bar underneath, expect some noise till early morning especially in the weekend. The windows are double glazed so they keep the noise outside quite well and, personally, I wasn't affected by it. - The place is placed at the 1st Floor having no lift. It has one flight of stairs and quite wide. Personally, it didn't affect me much although I had a child pushchair which I had to carry up and down the stairs. - House cleaning staff are very nice and do a nice job. - Any transfers needed from/to airport can arrange Andrea for you, and it's to normal prices. I used it and was glad I did, as I didn't have any issues. - Since I was positioned centrally, I did not even hire a car. I managed to visit all primary places without even taking a taxi/public transport. Everywhere I went it was by walk and with a pushchair. After all, sometimes you need to trade comodities in certain places, and I was happy to trade some things, like lift, for other, like locality, and I recommend the place.

Too many new hotels have the same generic style that you'd be hard pressed to know if you were in Boston or Milan. If you appreciate a homey, old-fashioned-in-a-good-way hotel, this is the place for you. The staff was very helpful, making reservations for us in advance of our trip and upon our arrival. The bed was comfortable and the room spacious. They offer a very nice breakfast at a great price-- we surprised ourselves by going every day. The hotel can arrange a taxi pick-up at the airport and we were so glad we did this-- it made arrival very easy. The hotel is in a wonderful location--the neighborhood is full of hidden jewels and an easy walk to many sights. We very much enjoyed our stay.

We stayed here for a few nights prior to our cruise leaving from Civitavecchia. The room was perfect. Clean, well appointed and working AC! The host arranged for transportation from the airport and then met us at the hotel to settle us in. There are a few flights of stairs to get to the rooms, but there is a small elevator available as well. There are only 3 rooms in this hotel which are located within a larger apartment complex. We felt very safe and it was incredibly easy to get around to the various locations we wanted to visit (Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Colosseum, Vatican City and more). We walked everywhere and never took public transportation. Within a few minutes walk there are a few fantastic restaurants and shops. I see a few people mentioned graffiti but there is literally graffiti everywhere in Rome. Hard to avoid. We found the neighborhood the hotel is located in to be beautiful and vibrant. Small streets with beautiful places to sit and have a cold drink. We would definitely stay here again!

Let me start out by saying Luigi you are by far the best host ever! Your kind and a good honest person. I was so scared because we never stayed at a bed and breakfast place and trust me this place is perfect! Clean modern, just enogh space. Only thing they do need better pillows super flat. Luigi a host like yourself That’s hard to find these days. He’s very helpful even called the airport about our lost luggage for 3 days, helped my husband take luggage down .The location is perfect just a street crossing to the trastevere nightlife filled with bars restaurants and gelato. Beware of tourist trap restaurants, check trip advisor reviews one restaurant got us good! They had horrible service horrible food but seemed fancy as they are located right in center by fountain do not eat there. Ok so I did so much research and reviews helped me so much so here’s few tips. 1. Times traffic is horrific probably worse then New York do not rent a car. Easy accessible by train or walking. Colosseum was a 30 min walk which we didn’t mind walking there, Vatican is far took a taxi. Train is cheap but crowded and lots of poker pickers!!! Taxi scammers all around first day there this young kid fooled us told us Meter not working and he charged us 25 euro for A mile ride! Once we started arguing with him he acted he doesn’t speak English! It’s illegal to do that so don’t let anyone scam you! Once they use meter taxis come out cheap, 6 Euro one way to Vatican. Buy the colosseum ticket at the palatine hill entrance and buy the one for all 3 forum and colosseum, the lines to Colosseum and super long! Vatican buy the skip the line or fast entrance ticket you will wait very long worth the extra 30 euro!!! Best advice I read online. If you are going to Sorrento be prepared the first train there to Napoli Centrale is amazing, the second one was the worst nightmare it’s like a train station in Chicago or New York but smaller packed with tourists and locals most of the time only 1 train goes there so almost impossible to get on the train.if you can avoid it spate yourself. This was a nightmare especially with luggage. Due to being overpacked and literally everyone on top of each other unable to get through lots ot phones and wallets stolen. Call your hotel from Sorrento or use seahorse personal driver it’s 50 euro to get you to your hotel, but it’s worth the 4 miserable hours spend on a train station and standing over an hour to get to Sorrento also they will drop you off to your hotel directly.

We've stayed for 3 nights and loved the place! The bed was comfy, loved the interior and the building (with an old fashioned lift that dive you into the essence of the city!). The staff was impeccable and very helpful. The bar where you can have breakfast is also a bakery with fresh baked pizzas and appetizing snacks and nice atmosphere. Great position to reach the hearth of the city or where to stroll for the night and have few drinks. The only detail you might complain is yes, the tram, but that's what you got to deal if you want an easy access to the public transport 😉, and the bathroom doesn't have a proper aeration but it's seriously a tiny thing. It also has a small kitchen you can use to prepare your sandwich for the day or just a nice room to relax and plan your next trip. You hardly will find a better deal for the same price. 😊

Window on Rome is perfectly situated for anyone wishing to explore Rome. It's a 15 minute walk from major sites and surrounded by lovely restaurants and bars. Our hosts Renato and Luigia were perfect and couldn't have made us feel more welcome. Their suggestions for restaurants were spot on - thank you for booking my special night out (big birthday). They arranged taxis to and from the airport which made life a lot easier (although you can get there by public transport) and looked after our luggage while we enjoyed our final day in Rome before the evening flight home. The room was immaculate (cleaned daily) and has wonderful views across Rome. There is also a roof terrace should you wish to enjoy the evening sun and watch the sunset on Rome.....

Basic rooms, however when you leave in the heart of Rome, you do not need anything more. They were very clean and had cleaning service every day! The room had a safe and big wardrobe, plus a little fridge. The breakfast was delicious and super fresh and the pastries they offer, they were top! The neighbourhood of the hotel is called Trastevere and is walking distance from the Colosseum, the city centre, the Vatican and all the big attractions (approx. 30min walk from everything and considering the delicious food Rome offers, you need to walk!). If you prefer to stay in the neighbourhood, no problem, as it has lots of restaurants and shops around, walking distance 5- 10 mins. Overall, the hotel and location was an excellent value for money.

Perfect location, especially if you arrive from the train station, so you can directly leave your luggage and walk in the biggest open hair museum: Rome! The hotel is very modern and new! The twin bedroom was equipped with all the facilities and spacious and spot clean. The Staff and the property are very well prepared and following the new Covid safety procedures. A special thanks to the reception team, the super funny guy that welcomed me and my friend upon arrival and the amazing lady that was there upon check out. Keep it up with the great job and I’ll see you on my next visit, Ciao

Stayed here for 2 nights. Arrived late gone 10pm pleasantly surprised that the restaurant was still open lovely food. Also offered a snack menu if we wanted to eat after 10.30pm. Very lovely bar and chill out areasThe room was immaculate with a very decent bath and shower. Breakfast was continental but plenty of it. 20 minute bus ride into central of Rome. €12.00 euros ticket covers 48hours and can be used on all public transport. We used the bus, train and tram. Restaurants in Rome all charge for sides i.e. veg or salad etc. Eat in the ones way from the main attractions by a couple of streets. Wear trainers as you end up walking alot and pack a travel umbrella. Stayed 2 days and saw loads Night time was a magical atmosphere everything lit up.

We were planning a stay in a Rome prior to our cruise and selected The Hassler due to its pre-cruise package - a great deal. We took advantage of the personal assistant at the airport and the hotel transfer and felt like VIP’s. Very welcome after our long overnight flight from the US. The assistant insisted on handling our bags for us and getting us through some airport construction to find our driver. All seamless. We spent 6 lovely nights at The Hassler in early Feb 2020. The staff were so friendly and accommodating from the time we entered the hotel treating us like frequent returning customers. We were fortunate to have a room overlooking the Spanish Steps and what a view! A very comfy bed, too. We enjoyed a few meals in Salone Eva and enjoyed great food and impeccable service. Such friendly staff who made certain we were happy with everything from our drink orders to our food. The buffet breakfast was really good, too, with a wide variety of selections and the same service in a beautiful dining room. So many friendly people who pampered us and made us feel like we were the most important people there. We loved their Amorvero body lotion and wish we could buy it online but unable to find it anywhere. Our transfer to Civitavecchia took us right to the cruise terminal and helped us get our bags dropped off with the handlers. All top notch service. We hope to return here in the future to enjoy the luxury of the Hassler. This was the best service we have ever experienced and heartily recommend staying at this hotel. You won’t be disappointed.

Though the beds need to be updated, the room was big, and the location was perfect as it was close to the terminal. However, the city tax they charge was quite expensive. The hallway set up was a little confusing at first but not too bad. One hallway was a little creepy though; and the spa seems to open late and close early. The staff were nice and love the rooftop bar.

We travelled as a family of 2 Adults & 2 Children. Most part of our trip to Europe we were all in 1 room, however at Rome we had booked a quad room with connecting doors, and this was amazing for all family members to have a bigger space. Both rooms were spacious, clean, and modern. Beds & pillows super comfortable, wifi works great. In the main room there was an amazing space to do your make up each morning with a mirror and lights, lighting needs to be a little brighter but great to have own area. Breakfast was only 9€ and quite a big selection, both of my fussy eaters enjoyed! The waitress was lovely and kind. Walking distance to everything - we chose to walk over the city as everything is walking distance and you get to see more, however HoHo bus stops are close, and walking distance to Terminal train station. I would 100% stay here again, and recommend this hotel to anyone! Also a mention to the staff in reception, who were very kind with check out! Great hotel, stay here!

My name is David Blanco, stayed with Estefania Soria on December 2019. Read: The hotel is super far for Rome. After hours to get there, i wanted to open a bottle of wine and no cork screws, called the lobby and they told me to come down to pick one up. No internet in the bed, had ti sit next to the door to get Wifi. I left my wallet with my CREDIT CARD there and called next day and they said to go pick it up but I was already out of Rome so I asked if they could send it to me by mail and of course I pay... But no, they told me that i had to schedule and make all the things with a carrier, that they Wont do it for me. So not only thry didnt want to send it to me but 15 days later they USED my card for 200+ USDollars and CALLED my bank like if it was me... UNBELIEVABLE. I'LL NEVER STAY IN THIS IBIS OR ANY OTHER. AND I HAVRNT GOT ANY ANSEERS FROM THEM OR COMPENSATION
