Unique special little family-owned hostel right in the center of Tarragona's Old Town. Having had a small family run motel business myself, I had a particular affinity to this tiny 5-room hostel. Yes, 5 rooms! So consider yourself lucky if you can get one, especially in high season. My room was a little smoky from the previous occupant (not the hostel's fault) and the walls are thin, but the wood beam ceiling and stone arch, typical of the area, was beautiful and unique. And the hosts and customer service were outstanding. When I arrived and told the gentleman at the front desk, who reminded me of Phil from Modern Family (in a good way), that I wasn't good with maps and wanted to see Tarragona in a limited amount of time, he spent over a half hour planning out my route and explaining in detail exactly what to do and where to go. I followed it to a T (is that what you say, a T?) and his instructions were perfect. I had breakfast, walked 9 miles and pretty much covered Tarragona, from the Cathedral to the Roman wall, then down to the port just in time to catch the sunset. I rounded off my very productive day having dinner in the new part of town at El Mercat which was unexpectedly right around the corner from the hostel, thereby doing a full loop of Tarragona's small, compact and walkable city. Really lovely day. I also had a nice conversation with the owners who allowed a late checkout, helped me work the coffee machine, called a taxi for me and helped me with my luggage. Great service! Could not have had a better experience.

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel and unlike some reviews on here we thought the receptionists were very helpful so we can only think that in life you only get what you are prepared to give. Our room was clean and tidy with a huge comfortable bed and the large terrace had a table and two chairs plus the bonus of a beautiful sea view. Lovely pool area with plenty of beds and a lovely chill out area, towels available on request and the friendly bar staff worked very hard - G&Ts were great! Downside - no safe & not enough sockets, wardrobe far too small with huge hangers which take up far too much room and have no facility for hanging trousers (if you’re staying more than two nights take your own) Bathroom needs a revamp, however, toiletries were replaced daily - soap, shampoo, body wash, body lotion, toothbrush, shoe shine, tissues etc. Great position to visit the old town and beaches. All in all a lovely stay and we would happily return.

The location in the city center is good, there is no air conditioning, most of the service is self-service, and the price is cheap. The collection experience is not good. It was received twice and paid for at the hotel, and the original prepayment was taken away. Finally, it took a lot of trouble to recover, and lost the exchange difference.

The owner Xavier was very enthusiastic. He explained how to visit Tarragona in English and drew the route on the map. Breakfast is relatively simple. The price is clean, a bit old, not a shared bathroom, but it is. Outside, there is a slight inconvenience.

So I went on to Trip Advisor to get recommendations about a hotel in Tarragona. I saw that at this hotel we could park on the street and it was safe. This was necessary because we had a car. The hotel is about a 20 min walk from the old city area. There is also a bus that runs from across the street to the downtown area. Get off at Casino stop. It is $1.50 Euros per person 1 way. The hotel was fine initially. However we get back from dinner downtown at 12:30 a.m and the hotel is locked. We were told there was someone at the desk 24 hours a day. We were actually locked out on a deserted street. We stood in the cold on the street for over 20 minutes. We rang the bell and no one came to unlock the door. We banged and rang and knocked and could not get into the hotel. There was no key access and no one answered the call button on the wall. Finally a man came out from inside the hotel and acted with utter indignation towards us, that we were somehow at the lobby door banging to get in to a place we paid to stay in. It appeared we were bothering him. The man was not apologetic or anything of the sort. It was horrible!! I am sure there are many other hotels that would like business and would not lock the door at 12:30 leaving their guests stranded on the street. Disgusted at this entire place!! Find another place more respectable and thankful for their guests.

We are 6 big and 1 small, the children are 6 years old, and we have three standard rooms with two early breakfasts. The price of Ctrip is very good. The room facilities are the same as the photos, in line with the Marriott Four Star standard, breakfast is no problem, there is no extra charge for the children's breakfast. The hotel has an underground garage, but our viano is too big, the front desk says it can't stop, and the parking lot is very close on the map. It is free before 9:00 the next day, after about 1 Euro and an hour, actually the next day. There is no charge at 10 o'clock. Finally, at the time of checkout, a city tax of 5.94 euros was paid. There is a big supermarket opposite the hotel, which actually sells instant noodles.

I’m not familiar with Tarragona city for the first time. I booked this hotel on Ctrip. It is about 3~4 kilometers away from the city and 500 meters away from the hotel. There are buses, either No. 6 or No. 54. You can get to the city from 5 to 8 stations, and the distance to the attractions is also very convenient. The hotel’s breakfast is delicious, the rooms are large, and the environment is really good. If you go in summer, the hotel also has a swimming pool. The price is very high. , Shopping is very convenient, the price is affordable, and I will stay here next time. The city of Tarragona is beautiful and it is worth visiting. It is a very historic city!

The hotel is located in a modern area of the city (in front of a square). It has its own parking (at extra charge) but there’s plenty of room to leave your cat nearby for free. We stayed in a quadruple room that was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was quite big and seemed new. Breakfast was OK, nothing special. You can walk to the old city but it takes around 20 min to get there. It’s not a big deal but you can take a bus at the corner of the hotel in case you feel lazy :)
