We stayed 4 nights here, skiing with friends (4 couples) Rudy was really helpful in sorting out accommodation for us last minute. When we arrived he greeted us and personally took my husband to the garage the hotel use for parking( there is an extra charge for this) . The garage is only round the corner and easily walkable . The check in is at the Hotel Heitzmann, when booking we were concerned about not staying in the same building that breakfast and dinner were served. On arrival we realised our worries were unfounded as the two properties are only steps away from each other. The decor in both properties is modern and very stylish. All our suites were amazing, huge spaces with separate living area and lovely bathrooms. The bar area in the hotel heitzmann is the perfect place for drinks before dinner and the breakfasts and dinners are excellent. The hotel is family run and all the staff they choose to employ are excellent , everyone we encountered were so friendly and helpful. We bought our ski lift passes at the hotel reception and could walk to the ski lift or ski bus stop for other areas in an easy 5-10 minutes. The hotel is also right in the centre of the beautiful town of Zell am see. There is nothing I can think of that I can fault at all apart from I want to book to return this New Year but they are only taking bookings for a minimum of a week and I want to go for 4 nights!

We had a great week at the hotel on our skiing holiday. The hotel is just a short walk from the main gondola, and right in the middle of town. The food was great, the staff were fantastic and the dog was adorable. We had a room at the front overlooking the street and the ski slopes. It was lively at night, but never enough to keep us awake, and the town quieted down pretty early on. It’s just well enough located to be central and great for apres ski and just far enough away from the big late bars to not be disturbed. We played cards most nights in the lounge area by the bar and the bar staff ensured that we had a constant supply of wine and beer. The owners family spent a couple of nights in the bar and they were all lovely and really added to the atmosphere. We normally went to bed about midnight, and the staff never asked us to leave, or make us feel anything but welcome through the week, as opposed to a suggestion made in a couple of reviews. The Gin Bar downstairs is another great bar with lots of atmosphere and no noticeable closing time and they also run a popular apres ski bar outside the hotel. If you don’t fancy the bars in the hotel there are a myriad of them with a five minute walk.

The Heitzmann hotel in Zell am see is perfect! I can’t fault it! The way the hotel is decorated is so cool! We took away lots of design ideas. It was very clean at all times. Our bedroom was large with simple design. Bed were very comfortable. Could have done with two pillows but I’m sure they would have provided them if I’d asked. We had a jacuzzi bath which was wonderful at the end of a day skiing! The shower was over the bath with no screen so water did go everywhere! The staff were absolutely wonderful. They couldn’t do enough for us and took looking after their guests very seriously. There was a lovely friendship amongst the staff that just added to the informal, relaxed nature of the hotel. We were staying half board and on the whole the food was excellent. It was presented beautifully and always fresh and served hot. I wasn’t crazy about Austrian food in general but tried everything they gave me! The hotel is positioned near to the free bus stops and gondola. There are shops on the door step as well. I would highly recommend the hotel and would definitely stay there again.

We stay there for a week skiing and the hotel is at a prime location (2 minutes walk with ski boot to the lift or bus stop to Kaprun), 5 minutes from the train station and 3 minutes to the shops and town centre. The rooms are typical Austrian type, clean, comfortable and very quiet (ours was right against the main street and only once or twice we felt the vibrations of a passing truck). Bear in mind not all room have a balcony (ours didn't). There is also a free sauna in the hotel, we didn't use it but it look very clean and from what we understand can be use at any time of the day. The owner is very friendly and so are the Ladies at the breakfast buffet. The breakfast buffet is also typical Austrian with cured meat, cheese, yogurt dried fruit, bread, egg, coffee-tea-hot chocolate, cereals in 2 words: A FEAST. For the aspect we felt could be improve on the 1st one the ski room, although heated my boots were never dry in the morning (as they were on shelves not in racks like many places have). I'm not sure of the opening time of the hotel bar, sometimes you could have a apres ski beer or after dinner one, sometimes it was closed. The hotel DON'T do dinner, but they offer a discount card for some of the restaurants around. The main question will I come back, YES without hesitation.

We are patiently waiting to visit this lovely hotel. The mountains have turned white overnight. The first of what we hope will be a perfect winter season. They are doing everything to adapt to the situation, having read their web site, but everything will be different but that does not mean bad. We are looking forward to the amazing home made food. The Apple tree in the garden must be ready to make Apple Strudel with vanilla sauce, yummy. To be looked after, gladly by the lovely staff. Christmas is special. A family run hotel with 4 generations to greet you. Very comfortable & spotless rooms, as is the rest of the hotel. Flights booked, hotel booked, ski pass booked soon. Checked the Schmitten.at site it tells of the Winter safe plans for the mountain. It all sounds good, but we have to take responsibility & adapt for our own safety, do what the rules say & we will be safe. Did I say that we are patiently waiting, well maybe not patiently, can't wait. You will enjoy everything about the hotel & the sister hotel The Fischerwirt You will have a great holiday.

We were a party of 7 adults and we had the most wonderful time. My partner and I stayed in here last year and we loved it so much we brought our family back. We stayed in the deluxe room. The location is great: walking distance to city express, the lake is nearby and the main town with the Apres Ski is close too. Food: breakfast and dinner was delicious with a good variety of choices. I love that we had the same Table everyday too, it was comforting knowing we didn’t have to fight for a table everyday. Our waiter Vincenzo was first class. We enjoyed the spa and the bar area too, we used go down for a round of cards and a drink before heading up to dinner each evening. On our last evening the waiting staff who were mainly Italian had been sent home after breakfast service. Austria was due to close their borders so the Italian staff had to leave to get home to their families which is understandable of course. The hotel owner drafted in his family to help with the dinner service that evening and it was all seamless and nothing was too trouble. They had to put on a buffet rather than a four course dinner but that didn’t matter as they had all the menu options available. The hotel owner was even clearing tables with a smile, it didn’t impact our experience at all. We can’t wait to go back, such a special hotel.

This hotel is a very nice and relaxing place to stay. The hotel has their own secure underground parking which is free of charge. Room was nice and clean and they kindly prepared a bottle of champagne on our arrival due to our honeymoon. Breakfast has a everything you might want and was an amazing and delicious spread. Although we had a problem on one night when we had dinner this was kindly dealt with by the lady owner of the hotel who was very understanding and nice. As the weather wasn’t great whilst we were there we spend a bit of time in the spa. This was really relaxing - plenty of space to relax and a number of facilities including saunas, steam rooms, relaxation rooms and pools. The best thing about the hotel is the staff. They were very professional, courteous and attentive. The hotel is expensive but in my opinion was worth the money for the quality of the experience you receive. Would like to go back one day.

We had a wonderful week at Hotel Berner for half term in February. The slopes were of course busy and snow conditions were average - the hotel was full. As a family of four with two daughters this hotel was perfect for us at is is quiet and away from the lively centre of Zell. Yes it is possible to ski in and almost ski out but there has to be enough snow. The walk to get on Chair 2 is only a few metres but the piste alongside is not suitable for beginners. We were very happy with our room 207 (I think about 35 rooms) which had a small balcony and a view over the back where we could see Chair 2 running. The highlight of the week was the hotel and its staff. Despite them having thousands of guestsevery year, from the moment you arrive (complimenary drinks on arrival) you are made to feel very special - almost a member of the family. We came in on a late flight so missed supper but arrangements had been made in our room. Christoph and Gottfried are wonderful hosts and take the running of the hotel very seriously - no small detail is missed. I am not going to name individual staff members because they are all wonderful and have clearly been trained to the highest standards. The food is exceptional, huge selection at breakfast, cakes and biscuits at teatime and many many courses of 5 star food in the evening. Yes we tried the vanilla ice cream with rocket and balsamic too. My one complaint is I put on a lot of weight. The ski rental company recommended was good and as the resort was so busy that week it was a bit of a pain getting the kids to ski school in the morning as it involves a 7 minute walk to the bus which takes you to the bottom of the Schmitten lift. Another alternative is to walk about 10 minutes to City Express. So in summary this is a wonderful hotel for couples and families who want quiet accommodation, great food, good spa facilities and pool and exceptional hospitality. There is also some good discipline from staff who are not afraid to ask children not to run around the hotel or jump in the pool. So I say thank you once again to Christoph and Gottfried and the whole Berner team for outstanding Austrian hospitality.

Our family of 4 stayed in Zell Am See for 1 night during our vacation through Bavaria. We had the 2 bedroom suite on the second floor. Each had a large comfy king sized bed, sitting area in between, and very nice bathroom. The decor was very charming and it was a very comfortable stay. The lake is a short walk from the hotel as is the village area with tons of restaurants and shops. We were there on a Wednesday evening which is apparently a festive day of the week in Zell Am See during the summer. There is free parking on-site. While it did not bother us, I will warn you that there is no elevator in the hotel so baggage will need to be carried up to the upper floors. We did not dine in the restaurant, though the menu looked good. We would have loved to stay an additional night to enjoy the hotel and surrounding areas, but we were glad we had the one night. I'd highly recommend if you're looking for a very quiet and charming place to stay in Zell Am See!

A family run traditionally appointed well located hotel. The staff were friendly, professional and very attentive throughout the stay. This was across the staff from reception, restaurant, chambermaid and bar. We arrived late and the restaurant was closed but they managed to cook for all late arrival guests anyway. The restaurant and bar prices were on a par with averages in town but the service and setting was better. Example prices €4.20 beer 0.5 L Evening meal options €16 upwards I had a lovely steak meal at just over €20 Daily breakfast was well presented and provided a good selection of fruit, cereals, breads, cold meat and cheeses, fresh omelette, eggs, bacon, juices etc Our room was cleaned daily to a high standard even folding up our own clothes! The cleaner was amazing. There is a ground level access to the equipment drying room which is also where the pool, 2 x sauna’s are. The pool is small but suitable for swimming and has user operated jets which are great for a massage. Towels are provided. Overall the hotel was very warm and comfortable throughout and has both stairs and lift access to all floors. It is traditionally appointed with many interesting ornaments, pictures etc. Of note our neighbours in adjacent rooms could never be heard so this hotel is also a quiet environment. The bar is quiet but has background music. Music is of course suited to different tastes and audiences but we did chuckle at many of the styles. My perception I would describe as a mix of hymns, old black and white movie film music, very old non hits, never heard of tunes and some that you may know from your childhood when your parents listened to them albeit they were old tunes even then! We were amused by it nightly. I am 55, my wife 61 and from the U.K. and this was a shared opinion. Our suggestion would be to vary the music style, genre and era to cater across the mix of guests but it’s not a deal breaker. The hotel is situated a few minutes walk from the town, bus station, rail station and the gondola, slightly uphill but easily manageable even to pop out to a shop and back again ( as I did to grab a few drinks for the room fridge) There are several apres ski bars all of which get busy. There are many restaurants and eateries nearby suitable for a variety of tastes. There are several ski/board shops too most can do most things for you. However everything can be solved by La Resistance (helicopter logo) near the railway. A word of caution regarding board services though. We visited Sport 2000 at the bus station for board services. Rather than just sharpening our edges, they changed the angles on both our boards effectively ruining them for us. Not happy. Be sure to ask and check what your angles are before they or others mess it up. It’s like a hair cut. Once done you can’t put it right!!! We were both very happy with the hotel. It was absolutely lovely. People we met whilst there were similarly impressed and some we

Facilities: The room is large, with floor-to-ceiling windows, which can be opened for use as a balcony, and the bathroom is separated from wet and dry; Service: Chat with the front desk lady, saying that about 80% of the hotel guests are from China. Five stars recommended! Although it is not the same as the station, the left hand pushes the box and walks for 10 minutes. The tourist information office is also recommended to walk. Just to note that there are two Imlauer nearby, our star is high and the facade is more stylish. The hotel is located near the Mirabell Garden, where there are also bus stops (to the Old Town, if you don't want to walk more, take two small stops, it's very convenient) and go to the main bus stop of Salzgummert. Bottled water and apples are available all day in the lobby, and towels are also available, although there are bath towels in the room. Excellent attitude at the front desk, patient and courteous! I walked out of the train station on the first day. I didn't expect this hotel was at the back door of the train station. I walked through a small garden that was too late at night to navigate and write for ten minutes, but these ten minutes still panicked. However, Mercure infected me with the standardized facilities and services of a global chain in the next two days. The breakfast was really good, the favorite was marinated salmon and hot chocolate. The fruit is also very fresh, so be sure to eat cantaloupe. In short, great, go to Mirabell Palace to catch the No. 2 bus directly. The fortress is a little further away, and taxis are not expensive

Although the hotel seems to be general, the more you live, the more flavor you feel and the feeling of home. From the front desk to the restaurant to the cleaning staff are very warm and friendly. The bathroom has a rack of toasted towels and clothes, which is automatically turned on every night (also remember to open the switch yourself!), the clothes must be dry the next day. Hotel location is excellent. Within a 15-minute walk from the Old Town of Salzburg, it is easy to visit the local sights of Salzburg, and the Salzburg Main Station can be reached within 10 minutes, making it easy to get in and out of Salzburg. Most importantly, the hotel is right next to the Mirabell Palace, which is also a place for a day trip to various nearby lakes starting from Salzburg to buy tickets and get on and off. You can go to Hallstatt for a day trip. Half-day tour of St. Wolfgangsee, Half-Day Tour of Music, etc. There is an Asian buffet (13 Euro/guest) opposite the hotel. If you like Asian food, you can solve it. It is recommended to walk (less than 10 minutes) to eat near the main train station. There are many choices, special features and not expensive. Walked 15-20 minutes from the train station, the location is OK. However, it is not possible to check in early. What is even worse is that at 3 o'clock, it is said that it has not been cleaned up, and it has to wait. This is not very satisfactory. Although it is a tight manpower on weekends, it can not harm the interests of the guests. Not far from the station, about 5-10 minutes. If there is Salzburg card, it is not recommended to walk to the old town, it is still quite tired to go to the sights. Go to the Stein Trail and the shopping area is closer. Breakfast is good, there are many Americans living. The room is small, the extra bed is not strong, there is no kettle, I have not used it for a long time. But give a bottle of water every day, bath products are good.

The Sacher Hotel can be called first class in the hotel I have stayed in. First of all, the hotel is located in the old town. The window is the Salzburg with the most famous lock bridge. A river flows in front of the hotel. This will be a beautiful picture. The service of the hotel perfectly reflects the unique brand image of the Sahe Hotel. Due to the flour brush outside the hotel, we have booked two rooms and upgraded the room. We also gave breakfast, very super Value, the hotel from the front desk to the restaurant and then the service of the rooms are very intimate, this hotel perfectly interprets the classics of history

The highlight of this 600-year-old hotel is the service. The front desk or restaurant service is excellent. Professional service. Many high-end hotels have it. But this one makes people feel particularly sincere. Every word and every sentence they listen to and answer carefully and surpasses expectations. You do a good job, for example, when you see me have a bunch of coins at checkout, I will take the initiative to change the whole amount of money. I consult the trip to Munich and immediately help me find out and print out a list of the specific situation, which company bought the tickets How to get to the station ticket office Breakfast is average, but children are free (my child is 9 and a half years old) If you do not want to eat, there are McDonald's and Starbucks a few steps away, but the environment is always good One of the hotel's restaurants is the local one. It is the first recommendation on the lonely planet, so dinner can be solved at the hotel every day. One big one, two small juices, one soup, two main courses. Tips are not included. The service is great. Up Karajan was a frequent visitor to this restaurant The quilt is very comfortable Next to LV Anyway, I'd definitely choose here again

The hotel is diagonally opposite the square in front of the train station. The bus station is also here. There are many buses to go to the city (it seems there are 1, 3, 5, 6, 25, etc.). You can also go to Haierbu by taking 25 Rum Palace and Alpine Ropeway, Burger King, McDonald's, Starbucks, etc. in the square in front of the station, there are two SPAR supermarkets, and a customer service center (purchasing Salzburg card). Breakfast is OK, not particularly rich but enough, restaurant On the highest floor, you can see the Salzburg Fortress and the Alps. The disadvantage is that the hotel is about 3 kilometers away from the urban area. After shopping in the urban area at night, you have to come back by car, and some front desk staff do not speak English.

The location is not as good as imagined. It takes fifteen minutes to walk from the train station with the box. The old town attraction is also ten minutes, but this hotel is located between the train station and the attraction. Salzburg train station is far from the attraction. The room is quite big, there is a garden downstairs to eat, you need to bring your own toothpaste toothbrush soap shower cap. The picture on the bedside is really scary, especially at night. The most depressing thing is that check out at 6:30 in the morning, the front desk has not yet gone to work, the elevator has not opened, and the luggage has been moved down. Can park, it seems to be 10 even one day. In short, the tax is close to 700, and the price is relatively low.

The location of the hotel is very good. Not far from the train station and bus hub. The front desk service is also very good. Humanize. We stayed early in the morning. There was a cleaned vacancy and it was given directly to us. The layout of the hotel reflects Mozart’s hometown style, and the lampshades on the corridor are also a stills of music stories. Including the walls in the room, the cabinets are arranged, but the arrangement in the room is not everyone's favorite, it will be somewhat depressed. There is a coffee machine and a fridge in the room. In particular, it is recommended to share his family's breakfast, as a Western breakfast, or rich. There are juices that you can directly squeeze freshly, as well as a variety of preserves. On the table where you have breakfast, there is a hand-made book made by the store every day. There are weather notifications and Sudoku. I like this, very special. At the time of checkout, we received a city tax of 3 euros. Sleeping at night is also very quiet.

The hotel is very close to the train station. It is 4.5 minutes to walk. The owner is very enthusiastic, answering questions, helping to find a parking space and directing me to park. The key is that parking is free! ! This must be praised. . . The facilities are relatively old, but in Europe, such old hotels abound, but the hotel is well maintained, clean and refreshing. . . The breakfast is very good, the coffee is very good, the request is not very high, it is recommended. . .
