Used the appartments for a recent stay from Saturday to Tuesday we were very happy with the accommodation and would recommend 100%. The staff are very friendly and on our arrival full of advice with tips about our stay. They were also helpful with printing our boarding cards and always friendly and polite. Our apartment was on the front of the building and I had read that this was noisy but for us it was fine. I would definitely recommend the location as there are lots of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance (too many to mention) . We were impressed with the standard of food which for our stay varied from traditional Polish, Italian and Argentinian all of a high standard. The bars we used were exceptionally cheap £2 for large beer and £2.40 for Prossecco. They offered the known Polish beers but there were lots of craft beer bars which were exceptional. The street food market was out of the hotel and left then second right and worth a visit for the Zapiekanka. They are huge and cost around £3 but a slight anti climax for me. The castle was perhaps 10-15 mins walk and main square 20. All at a steady pace and taking in the sites. We did a full day visiting Auschwitz/Birkenau + Salt Mines. The first speaks for itself and the Salt Mines were OK and impressive but not our bag. We booked our transport from the UK which was for airport transfers and the 2 trips with a stop to a traditional Polish restaurant near to the salt mines. Auschwitz/Birkenau was a personal tour which allowed us to divert from the larger crowds the salt mines were organised. My advice:- Go with the flow and choose your restaurants by what you fancy not by the reviews. We found everywhere to be at the very least 'good'. If you are visiting Auschwitz do some research and watch some documenties. This prepared me for the experience. I hope this helps 👍🏻

Just on the south end of the city centre, in a very good neighbourhood, are the Old Town Apartments situated. We've had the pleasure to stay in number 42 and the apartment has all the comfort you'd possibly want. Two bathrooms, three bedrooms, a nice and well equipped kitchen, whilst we have had breakfast on the terras, over the full width of the apartment, over-looking a part of Krakow city. Breakfast can be brought up to the apartment upon request by a local supplier. Top service. Highly recommendable for 4, especially if 2 out of 4 required their own space.

We had the absolute best time staying at the Dada Boutique Home Hotel! With the warmest welcome by the lovely Ewa we knew we would enjoy our time here. My husband and I flew to Krakow from the UK for a few nights early March, his grandfather was Polish and now he bears a Polish surname. Upon check-in we had a wonderful conversation with Ewa about hers and my husband's heritage. She is just the sweetest and so kind!! Ewa checked us in to our very spacious room (I think it was Kei or Kai? Or something along those lines!) and the room overlooked the main street. We loved the room and it had great amenities too. One morning we woke up to the lighting and electricity not working, as soon as we informed Ewa she was right on it to get it all switched on again! We couldn't thank her enough for this. So breakfast every morning was fantastic, there was a continental buffet and you could also choose from a hot breakfast, eg. Polish Breakfast, Omelette, crepes, I highly recommend the crepes with Nutella; my favourite! The views from the breakfast room were also gorgeous. The hotel was very cool and the location was absolutely perfect. We didn't know anything about Krakow when we booked the hotel but knew we didn't want to stay near the main square, so it was a bit of a punt booking elsewhere really. The hotel is in the Jewish Quarter and like the hotel, is a trendy and seemingly up-and-coming area. Lots of places to eat, pubs/bars, everything. We mainly stayed in this area as it was the most interesting, and occasionally hired the scooters to get to other parts of the city (which was really fun!). The hotel was also really easy to find from the train station. As we were in Krakow, the Covid-19 outbreak was declared a pandemic. This meant that a lot of our plans and trips were unfortunately cancelled. So we had more time to explore the city (which was so quiet and therefore quite amazing!) but we didn't get to do a lot of things we had planned. From what we saw, we absolutely LOVED Krakow and cannot wait to return once the world is back to normal. It is without a doubt one of our favourite European cities now, and I also cannot wait to stay at this wonderful boutique hotel again! We will 100% book to stay here upon our return, and if you're in two minds about booking it, then just book it! You won't regret it! I'll be recommending it to my family too as they all would like to visit Krakow. Thank you SO SO much Ewa for making us feel so welcome! Your hotel is absolutely beautiful and we had the most amazing time x

We have just returned from Krakow and what a fantastic time we had! The hotel was in a fantastic location in the Jewish quarter with lots of restaurants and bars nearby. The room adequately met our needs - comfortable beds, powerful shower, a small mini fridge, plenty of storage and a safety deposit box. All hotel staff were lovely to deal with, polite, friendly and courteous. We emailed ahead to book Auschwitz & the Salt Mines tours and emails were dealt with promptly. We could not fault Comfort tours for our trips, they were prompt and polite. The breakfast was lovely with a choice of cereals, fruit, yogurt, salad, breads, poached/scrambled egg & Polish sausage with croissants also. Enough to satisfy everyone. If returning to Krakow we would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Hotel service was good, clean and tidy. The location is excellent, the surrounding attractions are close, and eating is also very convenient. If you need Chinese food, there is not close, but you can eat sushi. Next to it is the park and the old town. Uber is cheaper when going to the airport. It is about 40 Polish rupees during busy and free time.

After a nightmare journey to Krakow the last thing we wanted was a further let down with the place we were staying. Thank goodness it wasn't! Rakowicka Residence is an absolute diamond of a property in a quiet area just 15mins stroll to the Market Square, where most things in Krakow happen. On the walk to the square you also pass a huge shopping mall so it's very convenient for some retail therapy as well. The room was spotless as was the bathroom and shower. Our room on the 5th floor had 2 skylights for natural light. There was a table and 2 chairs, lots of storage space, a kettle, coffee machine, a safe, clean towels and shower gel/shampoo and bottled soap in the bathroom. There is a lift to the top floor. Access is by keypad at the front door and for your room. We felt very secure in the area, which appeared to be a business quarter with 2 large banks HQ's close by. We are hoping to return again to Krakow this year and would have no hesitation of booking Rakowicka Residence. Before signing off I should mention the staff at the apartment. We were meant to arrive in Krakow at 12:00 but that ended up being 20:15 so by the time we got to the apartment is was close to 10pm. I kept in touch with Magdalena via emails during the journey explaining our delay, so she kindly gave me the access details as we would be there past her finishing time of 21:00. We got there she was still there to make sure that we were OK. Service above and beyond. We met with 3 of the staff and all were excellent and helpful

The hotel is very good... After all, it is Hilton... Traffic is normal... The airport taxis past 109 Polish coins, two hundred yuan RMB... There is a Carrefour supermarket next to it... There is a train station in the past... Go to the city to transfer to the bus... Breakfast is quite satisfactory... The facilities are quite complete... After all, it is Eastern Europe, the economy is not too developed... the price is reasonable...

We had booked a 3rd-floor Panoramic suite looking out on the Wawel but learned shortly before arrival that those rooms were being renovated and we were upgraded to the Fresco Suite on the ground floor. The fresco was indeed beautiful and the suite was large, but the decorator had gone overboard with a pedestal bed imitating a 16th or 17th century model that was pretty hard to get into and out of. Only one normal chair in the room, but two classy but uncomfortable leather lounge chairs. The "lounge" part of the suite had a big desk with a chair, plus a leather couch facing a wall TV screen. Not particularly inviting. Bathroom was classy but not practical : no handles to get in or out of the bathtub, no handle on inside of separate shower. The real surprise was being awakened at 7:15 by noise from the room above which was obviously under renovation. Luckily they didn't work on Saturday or Sunday, but it would be a show-stopper during the week. The food was delicious but since Covid rules forbid buffets, the breakfast menu items delivered enough food for 3 people. I did figure out that we could order just what we wanted, and then it was great. Service good. No time to test the pool, the spa or the rooftop terrace, but I visited them and they look superb. My guide was Pani Joanna, hotel manager, the heart and soul of the hotel. Like the rest of the staff, she was ready to do anything to make our lives easier - for ex she had a pair of shoes fixed for us immediately on arrival.

We chose this hotel as it looked very modern compared to the ones in the centre of Krakow, but if I was visiting agam I'd prefer somewhere nearer the centre. There is a bus stop very near and we used this a lot during the day but we were told it was too dangerous to use it at night so we got taxis which varied a lot in price. I didn't witness anything to make me feel uneasy over there it's a lovely city. The staff in the hotel were very nice and professional and the rooms were lovely and clean. I had a massage in the spa which was very relaxing, but there is no pool that I could see in the hotel only an indoor waterpark next door. The bar was dead so we didn't spend much time there. Breakfast was the usual European fare OK but nothing like the full Irish.
