We decided to return to The Verandah Ao Nang, Krabi, because we had a wonderful stay last time, who knew it would be better than ever. Bee, who is a manager at The Verandah, welcomed us back with open arms, and with the biggest smile, her hospitality is second to none, Bee is exceptional at her job. Always there with her local information and great recommendations. Thank you, Bee 🙏 The Verandah is clean, comfortable and close to everything. Breakfast is good with a choice of hot and cold food. The beach is a short walk away, depending on your pace, this place is so relaxed, you walk slower 😆 Just a little advice, as this is a 2 star hotel, soundproofing is not on the list, so bring some some earplugs 🤪 The beds are so comfortable, beach towels are supplied at reception and best of all, you can use the pools and gym at the sister hotel, Peace Laguna! Just one minute walk away. We will definitely be returning to The Verandah Ao Nang, miss it already 😁 Thanks again, Bee ❤️

We have a strong standing in our communities, with better things to be doing with our time than this. Yet thought it important people know the truth about this venues corruption. We are a teacher and a doctor, that had our holiday ruined by the crime committed at this venue. The staff here have no customer awareness or service, they have hung the phone up on us many times mid conversation when we have tried to deal with a crime committed by their staff- who stole up to £800 in cash from our room. They don’t understand a-lot of English which makes communication impossible. This has ruined our holiday and we have had to go home. We were not able to go to the police as we are now out of the country. They are accusing us of lying about something very serious. Their cash safety box didn’t work in the room. We never imagined this crime would take place in this environment. The staff are denying any responsibility and are very rude. Highly advise to not trust this place! There seems to be plenty of other good environments that are far more respectable, with trustworthy staff.

I was considering booking on Riley Island and enjoy the beaches (at 2000 to 3000 Thai baht per night). That rins about 60 to 100 usd per night. So grateful I stayed her in Krabi Town. I have gone to Ao Nong beach 3 days in a row. The resturants are great along the beach. I can walk, bike or grab a (Rot Thaw) which is so cheap. The back of it has side seating and it is about 50-60 baht (about $1,50 usd) If you want to go alone than its more. I love this place. Nothing fancy but the owner Bang speaks English and they have a great staff. There is an elevator and stairs for their 4 floors. There is no iron or blow dryer. Bring your own. They do not serve breakfast but from what I can see, they must have before Covid. Have grace as these hotels get back on their feet. I paid 500 Thai baht per night. That's $15 per night. The rooms are a good size. There is lovely outdoor tropical seating/tables and chairs to sit under ceiling fans. It's worth it! This may be my regular place to stay. Lot's of highly rated restaruants and cafe's in walking distance. Very Covid safe and Sha approved!

|11.13km from city centerWhat a great little find 😊we are travelling around Thailand and this has to be one of the best hotels we have stayed. The room was on the 3rd floor with a pool and sea view . The room was a great size with housekeeping everyday. The staff here are wonderful, we had a couple of minor issues when we arrived and they were fixed immediately.The rooftop pool here is lovely especially in the afternoon storms .As a bonus you get to use the facilities of their sister hotel La Playa which is directly across the road with a big resort style pool and pool bar. They also have a basic fitness room. We extended our original stay from 4 nights to 12 nights. Overall this hotel has to be one of our favourite places. Perfect location able to walk to food, beach ,markets and facilities.Great staff Best value for money ! We payed on average $30 ( Australian) per night. We would definitely stay here again.

We arrived with one bag lost in Bangkok airport and the staff called and followed till we received our bag. Very close by the beach and rest of facilities. Rooms have old furniture but are cleaned in the old building. Balconies are enough for two persons and a coffee early in the morning. Housekeeper is doing a perfect job. I use the hotel since 2017 and I'll use it again.

If you wish a view with only water till the horizon then this might not be the right property. But most of the Resorts in this range offer similar views in the city. Spacious and Tidy rooms. Property is about 4 KMs from the nearest 7Eleven. Nothing much to do outside the Resort. No eateries around the hotel. Beach Side Restaurant in the Hotel serves delicious food and beverages. Restaurant where breakfast is served also has beautiful views of the sea. Staff is very courteous and friendly. One can book local sight seeing and activities from the reception. Beach usually has low tide during day time (or might be the case when we visited in early January) and almost water is almost still with minimal waves.

The staff is excellent and the location is excellent for a rock climber or someone who just wants a more chill experience than Railay West. Kayaks are available and the resort has longtail transportation right out front. I’ve stayed in the hotel rooms and in the bungalows. The hotel is very comfortable. The bungalows are more likely to let mosquitoes inside going in and out because of the doors. Bungalow unit 115 has the large double bed, but unfortunately this bed is worn to the point that it sags in the middle and the springs are an issue. I would recommend requesting a room with the smaller separate beds for sake of comfort.

The room is clean, as long as you don't eat in the room, you won't be tempted. Do not provide disposable dental equipment, you need to bring your own. There is a small table and a clothes rack on the balcony, which is very convenient. For breakfast, order a staple food (you can choose from a variety of sandwiches, seafood porridge, omelettes), toast and fruit, and coffee is instant. The variety is not particularly large, but it can guarantee nutrition and fullness.

|11.06km from city centerThe hotel is walking distance from both Ao Nang and Nopparat Thara beaches. The pool is great, though only open from 7am to 7pm. Because of the high temperatures in Ao Nang, the pool never cools down and water is always slightly warm. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Plenty of towels for the shower and the pool. The airconditioners work well, just a bit old and noisy. The staff were all very friendly and treated us like family. The electricity outlets didn’t work very well and we struggled a few times to get the kettle to work. Our family booked three rooms over more than 3 weeks, and we would definitely return here again. The night markets are close by, as well as plenty of fruit and smoothie stalls. Breakfast was fine. Cereals, toast, fruit, sausages and ham as well as Thai dishes, fruit juice and a coffee machine. The Thai dishes were sometimes a bit too spicy, but there was always a non-spicy fried rice and noodle dish. Overall we were happy with our stay. For the price and convenience it was worth it for a big family. Thanks to the friendly staff for your hospitality and smiles.

We spent a week in Amari vogue resort and we are so happy for our choice! The staff are so nice, helpful with everything we asked to make this experience as comfortable as possible! It’s a very quiet place built with Thai architecture very clean and our upgraded room was big and had all the necessary equipment to make us feel great.
Breakfast has European and Asian dishes and every day they had different selections. Surprisingly, there’s a Starbucks store in it too! We had 4 times dinner at the Marcos beach restaurant and the food was really delicious.
The resort helped us also to book a long tail boat to visit the islands across.
Truly, it’s hard to find negative things in our stay. Maybe for some people they won’t feel comfortable with the lots of stairs but you get used to it fast.
Near the resort there are no shops and you need to ask the reception to book a car to bring you to AoNang, the closest town that has all the necessary stuff, markets, restaurants, pharmacies etc. It’s about 20’ minutes away. There’s a choice to rent a motorbike as well.

|11.04km from city centerWe had previously booked this hotel for a 2020 visit before Covid ruined those plans, so we were looking forward to our eagerly awaited holiday in Thailand. We had decided to travel during the Songkran (Thai new year) festivities, which were unbelievable. So much fun! Our 13 year old daughter (can I say daughter nowadays!!!) had the best time of her life shooting water everywhere. The Thai people, always smiling, are simply amazing. Now, ok, this is a hotel review. We had booked a pool access room by the fantasy pool (the one with the slides). Simply, unless you like people clambering over YOUR small terrace, taking photos while stood on YOUR terrace, jumping in the pool from YOUR terrace, trying to get to their room next door across YOUR terrace, don’t waste your money. It was disgusting, utterly intrusive and bloody ignorant. There are no barriers (and there should be) between the rooms/terraces to prevent this. A joke! We had two sun loungers on the terrace (which people climbed over too) but they were in the shade all the time. Rooms 127 to 131 get no sun at this time of year, so again if you’re a sun worshipper don’t waste your money. The wifi is abysmal. It says somewhere in the room, don’t wait to get home to complain about something, ask the staff! We complained about the wifi almost every day until we gave up. They advertise (incorrectly) that there’s wifi available in all areas. A total lie! The only place you were guaranteed wifi was in the reception area. Or the Green Pepper restaurant across the road!!! I had to pay for 5G everyday to do some work for my business back home!!! And then I get charged for having my room an extra hour on checkout! So much for customer service. A recent reviewer said the breakfast was amazing. No, adequate is the word you’re looking for. It didn’t matter what time you visited, it was packed out, nowhere to sit, no cutlery, no plates, no cups, no food. Everyday we had to ask staff for this, that and the other to be replenished. There was just not enough staff. Apart from 5 behind reception!! On a plus, the room itself was fairly nice with a comfy bed. It could do with more drawer space and more hangers in the wardrobe. Oh and the plug didn’t work in the bathroom sink. On a plus plus, the bar staff at the fantasy pool bar were awesome. A special massive thank you to Soe who was brilliant. One final note, please Ananta Burin Manager/owner, please don’t reply to this review patronising me. This review is a true and honest review. There needs to be changes at this hotel before we ever return. Sorry Soe.

|17.39km from city centerHad a fantastic stay here , from the minute we arrived the staff were friendly and attentive despite the rather strange check in system in place. The room was spotless , and was always well maintained , we had a deluxe jacuzzi room . .. the view was fabulous but we were expecting something a little more than an jaccuzzi bath you would see in a house bathroom for one person ... Which for that reason was never used .. and as comfortable as the room was .. it was getting dated .. however it didn't dampen our spirits as it was still lovely, we came to spend our time outside .. and there were absolutely no disappointments there , situated right on the beach with a lovely tree with a rope swing providing some much needed shade , and the sea no more than a few steps at high tide .. it was literally heavenly .. the changing views across the sea to the scattered islands changing with the sun from morning to evening and the sunsets are breathtaking and not to be missed , boat taxis visit the beach regularly and are very reasonable and definitely worth using for a private tour of the islands . breakfast was fantastic and always plentiful and delicious , infact the only real disappointment was eating and drinking at the restaurant at night , despite it having postcard views the service , food and drink was very underwhelming , and dare I say at times frustrating .. and with the resort being relatively isolated dining out isn't just a wander down the street , missing orders , incorrect bills , slow inattentive staff , and communication problems due to language barriers seemed to occur frequently with the staff at night , something which was never evident at any other time , fortunately as a frequent business traveller also I always try to avoid charging to my room to avoid any billing issues , innocent mistakes seemed to be the norm at night .. and easy to miss with a quick signature .. .. that said we had a fabulous stay and I'm sure that we were maybe just unlucky as it was quiet due to the time of year .. definitely a great place to stay at particularly for couples looking for a quiet relaxed time .. lastly .. honest rating would be more 3.7 ..

There is a fat dog who likes air conditioning. Because the house is wooden, you must pay attention to walking lightly on the upper floor. I don't think it is suitable for young people to stay together for a party. Sound insulation is not easy to disturb others. If you are a quiet person or a quiet couple, it is a good place to stay here. Neighbors are a net red restaurant, many foreigners specially take a car to eat. The room cleaning is also great. We will help us clean it very cleanly when we come back every day. The hotel is very delicious halal restaurants. The reception desk helped us book a travel route, the airport transfer was super affordable and very free. Overall, the location of this hotel is very good, because it is 5 minutes by taxi from Ao Nang Beach, and it is not very far from Noppharathara to the island.

Apart from the fact that this really is the ideal location in Aonang, the location itself is very beautiful, fantastic views and nature and yet everything within walking distance. Rooms are very neat, restaurant and swimming pools too. The staff are so very sweet and helpful. They give honest advice about anything and everything. You really feel at home and for our children this also felt like a safe haven (16,13 and 8). We had 2 Swimup rooms with a connecting door. The location is ideal if you want everything within walking distance but no noise from the streets. The large ”Muslim Street” with all kinds of eateries, shops, tour desks, everything you need is a few minutes' walk away, while this hotel really sits against a mountain. Aonang beach is a 10/15 min walk, so is the general office for renting Longtail boats if you want to go to Railey Beach or take the steps of Monkeytrail. I would really recommend it to everyone. Face for families with children, single travelers and couples.

In any case, this was quite close to the event and a small view of the sea could be shooked. The room itself was equipped in dark wood, which promises me very much. There was, like almost every hotel, water cooker with coffee and tea, 2 bottles of water free daily, a small refrigerator. The balcony in 3. Stock had a beautiful view of the pool. What I didn't like was the bathroom. It had 4 or 5 different wall and floor covers, and no shower. There was only one bathroom with a hang. I had read that at the booking. Also the breakfast that could be taken in a neighbourhood was not the squatter. For hygienic reasons I don't like this bread cut at all, so only stood toast. The yoghurt was not cooled, juice was powder with water, on the fruit plates were mostly only rests. Only the egg station saved me a lot of breakfast again. The service is not to say anything, all of them were very nice and friendly.

The problem start with the old lady at the counter (Wearing Glasses) that are very rude, during trying to sort the problem happen, she are not fluent in English but every time trying to talk to the others person she will interfere and making thing hard to everyone. When we first came, they advised us on halal restaurants, bike rentals and tuk tuk services in case we got lost and even drew us a map. The hotel is in a good location, 15 minutes to the beach, surrounded by restaurants, bicycle rental services, banks with ATMs. Although located next to the main road, the environment is very good and quiet.

We were lucky enough o book a pool access room with our original booking with Tui last year, however, we have to email the hotel a month before our next visit to check availability. As there are only 7 pool access rooms it has put us off booking again as there are only 25 - 30 sunloungers around the pool, and, as usual all reserved by 7am - if we hadn't had our own on the balcony I wouldn't have been happy. That said, the hotel was friendly and inviting. It was in an ideal spot for walking to the main ***** turning left at the top of the road or the night market by turning right. Tuk tuks or taxis outside and for about £1.50 - £2.00 they will take you to either if you don't feel like walking. The hotel will arrange trips for you and are cheaper than most of the booths dotted along the roads - they gave us discount on all the trips we booked 😀 The breakfast is buffet style with both hot & cold selection, they will also happily make you omelettes or scrambled egg. If we could guarantee a pool access room we wouldn't hesitate booking The Apasari again - if you don't mind getting up with the larks for a sunlouger or prefer the beach you certainly won't be disappointed.

Room was spacious and clean…plus it was decorated in my fav colours!! Housekeeping kept giving us clean beach towels every day and the rooms were cleaned super fast. The room had amazing views from a spacious balcony. There were a couple of issues - air conditioning wasn’t working too well and a blocked lav - calls to the front desk were answered and someone was sent up right away to fix both problems within 10-20 mins. Very efficient! The breakfast was all you can eat and had a variety of food the choose from…Western and Thai. Spent a lot of time at the beach bar…great drinks (Mango Daiquiri so yum) and the food was great for a quick snack. Plus you can’t beat the view of the beach. Both pools were great as well! I enjoyed my stay and would go back there for sure!! Thank you Ao Nang Villa Resort!
