Must choose a sea view room, outside the balcony is the Aegean Sea. Close to the sea, there are cafes and bars nearby, and there is a pedestrian street behind it, which is very convenient. It's really old, there is an iron board, but no iron. Breakfast options are very few, bread and cheese a little fruit and vegetables. The gym is also very small and has few equipment. Although there is a sauna, you can choose another one if you have a similar location nearby. In the evening, you can go for a walk on the beach for a drink.

I booked the hotel via ETS. The hotel appears in the accommodation but not in the press office. Unfortunately, it is just under the press office. Basmane was İstanbul's Tarlabasa. The location is not a place to stay in family. We split two rooms. We couldn't open the air conditioning. There was a very bad smell from the air conditioning. There was a bad smell in the rooms. We had to sleep open in the night. We didn't sleep in it in the street no screams. We spent the night very nervous. Besides it was the hotel clean. The bathroom, the nephremy and the towels were quite clean, but unfortunately I don't prefer it again.

The location is not bad, but it is not the absolute center. It is more than 2 kilometers away from the seaside and several scenic spots. It costs about 20 lire. It is surrounded by alleys. There is a parking lot next to it. There are supermarkets, pharmacies, and restaurants nearby. complete. The hotel is small and exquisite. There is a comfortable terrace on the fifth floor. The cascading houses on the opposite side of the mountain are especially beautiful at night. The room is not small, the soundproofing is not good, the bed is very soft and it will sink, the toilet smells bad, the running water in the hotel is particularly slippery, I don’t know if it is a characteristic of the water quality in Iraq, but the water used in Cesme and other public places None of this.

I had been told I was booked into this hotel after my surgery close by. When I arrived they didn’t have a reservation for me but rang the hospital to find out where I should be. Gave me a seat and a coffee and were so friendly and caring whilst I waited to be picked up. They wouldn’t take payment for the coffee and the WiFi. I hope to visit again and will definitely make sure I stay at this friendly professional small hotel. Thank you.

Stayed 2018 and 2019 during the month of July. My wife is Canadian and little selective with the hotel staying, because of the location she prefer to stay here. Location is the most ideal place, you walk about 15 minutes to west to the bazaar (Kemeraltı) and about 15 minutes to the east to Kibrıs Şehitler ( for shopping and Entertainment). The Kordon is, Steps away, at nights you can walk by the sea side or visit restaurants or pubs. It was ideal for us to go shopping at the Bazaar during the day and enjoy sea side walk and dine. Hotel would need to upgrade the rooms. Lighting in the room was good but would like to have more lights around the mirrors. Unfortunately, no iron in the room. Our room was at the sea side (this is the one of the reason went back to the same hotel on 2019) for me it is one of the best spot of Izmir. We visited the room before registering to the hotel. Ferry is cross the street, the bus passes at the front. For the tram, you will need to walk about 10 minutes (south west). Taxis are steps away. Thumbs up for the staff. They did all possible for our comfort. Restaurant of the hotel - Other then the breakfast, we did not use the restaurant. Breakfast is decent but will need little more choices. I would suggest to some kind of additional selection (at least every second or third day). There are plenty of restaurants around. If you are thinking touring around Izmir or out of Izmir, there are few agencies around (also one just beside the hotel). Over all, I would suggest to stay at this hotel.

I can easily say that it is not more than an average hotel. The location is great for those who want to be close to the center. However, the hotel needs a deep cleaning and maintenance. The plug socket in my room was broken and I couldn't use the hair dryer, for instance. When I wanted to use an extra layer of blanket at night and found one in the wardrobe, I noticed that it was not properly cleaned as I started coughing because of the dust. The staff is helpful and welcoming and the breakfast is good.

I stayed in Hotel Marina for 3 nights (18-22 Oct). I arrived late at almost 11pm for my first night, a quick check-in was done and I headed up to my room. Once I stepped into the room, good size of room. Liked it. But I quickly realised there was a door which people could access from outside **It is NOT a terrace**, which made me feel quite insecure. So I asked the reception to change me another room. But he said he was so nice to give me a room upgrade to a double room as the single room was overbooked and trying to convince me to stay in that room (Honestly I just booked a single room). I said ‘thank you’ but I explained to him that I rather stay in a single with no access door from outside. In the end the same size of room was given on the 2/F. In the room, I tried to switch on the TV, it said‘No signal’, that’s fine, I was tired and didn’t want to bother as a late night. On the next day, I spoke to the Receptionist about the TV issue before I headed out. He said he would find someone to fix it during the room make up. I also asked about the complementary water would be daily replenished or not. I was told that would have been replenished daily. When I went back to the room at 5pm. The key was not working. I headed back to the reception to change my key. So I went back up to the room and I no water was there and the TV hadn’t been fixed. Went down again, finally a technician came to fix the TV and one more guy came to replenish the water. That’s my day one. Day 2, after my long day back to the hotel. When passing by the reception before going back to my room. Trying to ask for transportation information for getting to Bergama. The Reception staff first said no clue of getting there then indicated me to go to Pamukkale Bus (name of a bus company) to ask for the information myself. They did not even hesitate for one second to try to look it up for me. **Later I headed to the bus ticket selling office and found out this bus company didn’t provide any service to Bergama at all.** In the meantime, I also enquired to the same receptionist that I would be taking an early DOMESTIC flight (departure time: 8am) from ADB airport on my last day. So I was checking there could be any shuttle bus service (of course a ‘Pay’ one) and how much time I needed to be at the airport for checking in a DOMESTIC flight. The receptionist said ‘2 hours before the flight departure time’ and the earliest shuttle bus would be at 5:30am. I immediately questioned 2 hours for a domestic flight? But he confirmed it. **Later found out only 1.5 hours check-in time was needed for domestic, and airport shuttle bus running 24hours**. Room key was not working again. Alright, reception again! Key was done. The room was done, the new water was there. But saw stains on one of the bath towels. Whatever... My 3rd night...it’s the highlight. I did some research the night before and finally found the way to Bergama. In the day time the reception staff assisted me to fig

The hotel location is 5 minutes walk from the seaside, there are food streets around, all local tastes, no rice noodles, no soup, no drinks, there is a Chinese restaurant; no parking, waiter parking service, lobby service is available Polite, nod and smile at the meeting, breakfast is not suitable for Chinese taste, no rice noodles, bread-based; comfortable bedding in the room, no washing supplies, up to the Chinese 4 star standard; can not communicate in Chinese, go to Izmir There are more and more Chinese people, which is very inconvenient. Maybe the hotel doesn't pay much attention to Chinese guests! Opposite the hotel is the best Swiss ** hotel in the local area. The price is more than 200 yuan more expensive than this one. As is generally the case with cheaper hotels in all metropolises, one expects poorer value for money. We expected that also in the center of Izmir. The hotel Zeniva was an exception to the rule. It surprised and convinced us with its cleanliness in the room (thanks to extremely dedicated maids), polite and friendly staff at the reception desk and also superior service during breakfasts. Also, we liked that the bed was a little bit firmer, although due to the switched central heating we could not cool the room and we had to repeatedly open the window. Last but not least, they provided us with free car parking in front of the hotel, which is a great feat on its own. The guy, who parks cars there, really knows his business, takes care about your car and is also extremely polite. Thumbs up for the whole hotel crew! A must if you want an excellent value for your money.

Stayed at the Key Hotel recently for two nights - had room 209 ( which is think is a deluxe room ) and it was just awesome. One of the most spacious 'deluxe' rooms I have ever come across - possibly around 60 - 70sqm in my estimate but well appointed and had 'smart' features. Bed ad linen was very comfortable, nice sized shower stall and a small but much appreciated feature - complimentary bottled mineral water, soft drinks, juices from the min-bar. I hate it when hotels charge ridiculous pricing for mini=bar content so this was most welcomed. The only other hotel group that I'd come across that offers free mini-bar in their room rates are the Chedi's from the GHM group. The room has widows panels that can be controlled from the bedside - once opened, they do offer one a rather nice view of the sea. Breakfast was decent - not buffet but plated though. The selection however is very good and you can always request for the kitchen to prepare whatever hot items / eggs that you might wish to have. Service in general was ok - mixed bag of individuals and service attitude but none that I would consider negative. I did have one clothing item which I sent out laundry early in the morning. Was told it would return by 8pm buy by 10pm, nothing arrived. It was only when I called reception that they then promptly checked and had it delivered to my room.

Our room was a spacious suite with a bedroom with huge king sized bed, and a living room with a sofa bed. But even though I booked through one of the online sites and specified two adults and two kids and their ages, it was only when I read the fine print of the booking confirmation when the money had already been taken that I saw they charged 15 euros extra for each of the kids "for extra beds." There was already a sofa bed, so why charge for two beds. Plus it was a giant suite that could easily accommodate the four of us. I have never before been charged extra for the kids in this way, after the booking is made. And forget the 15 euros being to cover breakfast. The selection was pathetic, hence why I'm titling this review "Stingy". Also there was no wifi reception in the main bedroom of the suite. Again, all they need is to invest in more routers. The location...great, right in the bazaar. And the locals tell us that contrary to what Lonely Planet says, it might be a big off putting to walk through the closed bazaar at night but it's not dangerous. But please note something the hotel should inform all guests: you will have to haul your bags from the main road through a fish market to get to the hotel. Or a further walk avoiding the fish market but still through the bazaar. So, no, the taxi driver is not tricking you or dropping you at the wrong place. On the plus side, the women on the front desk were friendly and helpful. Room was certainly spacious. Location very good. And it's a nice building. Had we paid the 80 euros I thought we would pay at the time of booking rather than the 110 I ended up paying this would have been a much more positive review.

Pro: great location beside Basmane train station, room quite spacious with beautiful direct sunshine and fresh air. Situated in quiet side of Basmane. Okay very basic Turkish breakfast to fill the morning ... with cold tomato soup :(. Somehow helpful staff. Cons: although the hotel has certificate of safe tourism, it is not that clean and the dust settled everywhere. Internet is relatively slow. I stayed 4 nights and the last night there was no daily housekeeping. A little renovation and more cleaning will make the hotel better actually. No soundproof so I could hear my guest neighbor dealt on his business on the phone ... Anyway, it is a very budget hotel: what you pay is what you get. If you will spend most of your day outside this hotel is ok.

Pros : the hotel is situated next to Çankaya metro station , very close to Kemeraltı bazaar , within walking distance of the Basmane train station and Pasaport .The hotel has been renovated, its rooms are clean and modern . Τhe breakfast buffet is very rich with many delicious choices . The hotel staff are very kind and room rates are reasonable . Cons : the triple room was a bit narrow and small . Hotel rooms have soundproofing problems so you can hear the slightest noise from the adjacent rooms and the main street . The hotel has only one small elevator . Turkish coffee is not included in the breakfast price . So you have to pay 8 Lira for a coffee . It's not about money because its cost is really inexpensive . I admit this is the hotel policy but it disappointed me a little because in Turkey even small family-run guest houses used to offer to their customers free Turkish coffee .
