The stay at v7 was very pleasant.. the experience here was decent.. very humble and co operative staff. Specially Mr.Joel who use to keep my b'fast packed as i had to rush office early morning. Rooms are very clean and even the buffet menu is good. Overall a good stay.

We booked 2 rooms for 2N/3D stay at Crowne Plaza, Adyar, Chennai through an aggregator site. I called up the hotel to check on our reservation confirmation, but we were told that only one room is booked and they do not have second room confirmation. I called up the support team of aggregator and they confirmed it is 2 rooms and they called up the hotel and shared us an email confirmation. Later I called up the reservation desk and understood that 2 rooms are booked and it’s a confirmed reservation.
Our Check-in experience was good and the staff were courteous and quick.
We were allotted two rooms in old block at Floor number 14 (Room No 1403 and 1405). For a moment I recollected the online reviews I read and the pictures I saw about this hotel weren’t in the same. I thought I will revisit the reviews online and double check If I had made any mistakes in booking wrong hotel. I also called up my friend and told my experience isn’t great and the rooms are looking OLD and the plumbing systems inside the wash room and room telephony isn’t working well. I invited the hotel Duty ***ager (Mr.Josua) and showed him the plumbing system inside the wash room and asked him just because the I happened to book from an aggregator site and got attractive deals, we were given a poor looking rooms? Or is this a standard rooms that they offer for all type of bookings. (we discussed this after experiencing our stay in poor and old looking rooms for 1 night). Mr.Josua said the rooms in this floors are due for renovation and they would allot us rooms from new block. I told I would like to see the room before we move in. Mr.Murali took us to the new rooms and I could match the room pictures as posted in review sites. I told Murali and Josua, it is outrageous that they allotted old rooms to gullible guests. We moved into new rooms in Floor 25 (in new block)
The breakfast was awesome and service host (I think his name is Jibin).

|6.91km from city centerThe hotel is perfect if you're looking for an affordable place to stay while visiting Chennai. Me and my colleague had a reservation here for 3 days. The package we chose included the breakfast and dinner. We arrived at the hotel on 10th September. However, our flight was delayed which resulted in us arriving at around 11 pm. The hotel's restaurant was closed by then but the staff at the reception was kind enough to guide us to order dinner at a proper place in this new unknown city. The room allocated to us was also quite comfortable. The room had a mini-fridge which made it possible to have cold drinks and cold water right in the room. The room also had wifi and a desk so we could do our work in the room as well. The next day we had breakfast at the hotel's restaurant (Qmin). The buffet spread was nice and every item was flavorful. At dinner we were greeted and hosted by the ***ager Mr. Divender. He was quite accommodating and friendly. During the rest of our stay he was the one to host us. On 13th we had a morning flight so we were to checkout at 5am. Mr. Divender knew the details of our early check-out so the night before he made sure we had some breakfast to go even when the restaurant opens at 7:30am. Overall the trip was quite enjoyable. Even though it was a business related trip the time we spent in the room was comfortable. In future if I visit Chennai again, I would again book a room in this hotel. I'd highly recommend this place.

I have meet Duty ***ager Mr.Rishi he told me upon request from guest then only they will place the fridge. This 1st time I come to know this kind of services.
Secondly I went to bar at lobby to have glass of beer. A female staff was there and told me small glass price is RS 550. So I gave her RS 1000 and she gave me balance of RS 300. I was shocked. Then the bar ***ager came and told me she mistakenly mentioned. Then I meet Floor ***ager Mr. V***n and the explain everything. He feel sorry about it. So I definitely won’t recommend to anyone to stay here

An apple as a welcome fruit, two bottles of mineral water, tea bags of several kinds of tea and instant coffee were prepared, and it was nice to be able to relax in the room after check-in. As I have seen in other reviews, it is true that the drainage in the shower room is not very good, so be careful.
When I checked out, the front desk asked me to take an Uber because the taxi to the airport was expensive, and when I tried to change money because I didn't have enough cash, even though it was a small amount, he said that he wouldn't exchange money for that. gave me pocket money. I have stayed in hotels in various countries, but this kind of hospitality is the first time. I think the fact that we have employees like him is what makes this hotel so great.

|1.29km from city centert was the dirtiest hotel I have ever seen. There were blood stains on the pillow and snot and hair in the sink. Check-in hours were at 14:00, when I wrote them via Booking site that I would be there around 8:00 am in the morning, they told me that I would have to pay an extra 1600 INR, which I accepted. When I went to the hotel very tired after a 24-hour connecting flight, the room was not ready. I paid the fee including extra because of early check-in. They made me wait for a while, then gave me a dirty room. I immediately went down and explained the situation. They said they would clean the room. I was very tired, I spread my jacket on the couch, sat down and slept for a while. When I woke up, I walked around. It wasn't like it could happen. It was sickening. I asked for a room change. They agreed and showed me other rooms. They were all dirtier than each other. On Sunday, I started to cry with the helplessness of being in hotel with snotty sink in a foreign country. I asked them to cancel my reservation. At that time, I looked for other hotels through booking. I called the booking office and reported the situation. They talked to the hotel and agreed not to make any deductions from the fee I paid. I paid 29700 INR, but the hotel kept 5400 INR. even they told they will pay back all to Booking ajent. Even though I left 2- hour before hotel’s check-in time. After leaving the hotel, I visited other hotels for 2 hours to find a place. I was very tired, I was in a foreign country. It was a great despair. I never recommend this hotel. Even writing this made me feel nauseous. If you go to India, be sure to stay in internationally known 5-star hotels. Don't even choose one with 4 stars. Raj park was a 4 star hotel. It was disguisting.

There is a clear attention to detail to make your stay comfortable. The staff is also extremely polite and professional making your stay very pleasant . The buffet food is amazing too , whether it's the breakfast or dinner. Over-all, staying at the hotel means you're free to do what is important and Ambassador pallava will take care of everything else for you.

|2.19km from city centerno swimming pool even though advertized. no air conditioning in teh corridors. the carpet in the main lobby stinks. the rooms are nice and spaciaous and the service staff is excellent. the bathrooms are also nice and big and water is hot on demand. in my specific bath, the mixer was broken so water came out of the both teh show and the hand faucet together. towels are clean but only 99% dry. bathrobes are fresh and comfortable. so are teh beds and pillows. The inroom entertainment was very poor. (the raintree in st mary's road has better curated selection of entertainment). the views are of urban streets so nothing much to say. the colour schme is horrendous but that is only my personal opinion. The 24/7 coffee shop ”kitchen” had nice breakfast and dinner buffets with a wide range of food, all well cooked. all in all the newer Raintree hotel on st mary's road is much better, but the rooms and bathrooms there are much smaller. i hope once they finish renovating this hotel will get its act together.

The hotel decoration is very old, the rooms are average, the sheets are not clean, there are scum, hair and stroke marks. This may be a common problem in Indian hotels. As long as the sheets are not dirty, they are obviously not changed. The breakfast buffet is decent, with seven or eight food options. The price of more than 300 yuan, can live in a good hotel in the country.

|1.75km from city centerIts nicely located in the middle of old town. but this means that the views are boring. i think the hotel is just coming out of covid issues as it is understaffed and most of the resaturants are closed and the food its iffy at best. i spend the the first hour of my stay as they relaced the mini fridge that had stopped wokking and had leaked all over the wood cabinet leading to a stink. next day i spend three hours waiting for maintaince to water proof the bathroom that was leaking into the sleeping area. the third day i had to watch for an hour as the Ac maintaince were trying to repair a leak which had seeped into the false ceiling leading to a new smell.
The rooms are nice and spacious. so are teh bathroom but the WC is located in a tiny alcove in the bathroom making it unconfortable to reach for the health faucet. teh towels are clean and the beds confortable.
the writing cair and table are well made and teh easy chair is also comfortable even for a big sized man like me. the laundry service is efficient. the complimentary Tata branded tea and coffee is undrinkable, so is whatever brand of creamer they use. i dont undersand why they dont just use amul and nescafe.
inroom entertainment is still just basic tamil cable TV.
room cleanliness is average with cobwebs on the bathroom sink and tea stains on the floor. again this is due to understaffing and overworking the existing staff. the staff themself is very helpful and hardworking.
the restaurant is understaffed but despite this, the staff were helpful and pleasant. and the chef's range is a bit limited.
the lobby area is nice and spacious, but the corridors poorly maintained with gaps in the carpets and the floors leading to repeated tripping risks. the carpets stink.
the pool on the roof is nice and large but can only be used ealy mornings or in the evenings as it has no awning. I had a pleasant swim one evening and wounddown on the comfortable deck chairs. the changing rooms leave a lot to be desired. the gym is well equipped. they have a spa but didnt have male massuese so could be utilized. but it looked clean and pleasant.
wifi connectivity was good through out the hotel and not spotty at all.
basically this could be a great hotel if they staffed it well and updated basic infrastcuture and threw out their stinking carpets. But it looks like staff will be made to do more and more with less and less.
would i visit again? unlikely.
