Hotels Near Area Pic Nic (Corretta) In Aosta Valley
0.91km from downtownWe stayed at Lo Verdze for two nights during our trip through the Alps. The B&B is fabulously located high over a deep cloven valley leading all the way up to the mighty Matterhorn (actually visible from the garden, weather permitting). The place is very well maintained and super kids friendly. The owners are simply fabulous. Smiling, very friendly and helpful, always ready to share advice on local sightseeing, food or other attractions... or just to talk about the region and its customs. The breakfasts are simply amazing, with a great selection of homemade cakes and biscuits, home baked bread, local cream, milk, cheese and charcuterie, own seasonal fruit and, of course an espresso or two. Mille grazie! We hope to come back one day.
1.95km from downtownWe stayed here for 7 nights as wanted to ski Cervinia... great choice and only a 15 minute drive to Valtournenche which is an easy way to pick up the gondola! Rooms are clean and good size with lovely shower room! The lady who runs the place is really sweet and nothing is too much trouble! Breakfast is adequate with cereal, fresh orange juice, hot croissants, rolls with cheese and ham and a really good coffee machine! Parking is free and is in easy walk of 4 restaurants. Will certainly look to return. Thank you Miravalle 😀
3.1km from downtownAgain, similar to previous reviews we stayed out of season with our motorhome and had the place to ourselves. We had a panoramic pitch and it exceeded our expectations with amazing views, wonderful walks and pleasant clean facilities. I personally don't think the web site photos do the village's situation justice. We had a afternoon in the spa and were able to swim and relax in the hot tub taking in the amazing views. The staff were friendly, professional and helpful especially helping us getting our vehicle onto and off the site as we were above the snow line and our pitch had to be cleared.

6.68km from downtownProbably the sweetest octogenarian couple in Chatillon. Faustino and Graziana, along with their daughter treated us as if we were members of their family. Faustino welcomed us at the train station and drove us back to the bus station at the end of our holiday; saving us from carrying the luggage. They really went out of their way to make sure that we were well accommodated. The hotel is located on a hill, a few meters away from all amenities which can be easily reached on foot. Buses are frequent and serve almost all the other villages in Valle d’Aosta. The room was clean and cosy. The furniture wasn’t top-notch, especially the TV size, but the panoramic view from the balcony was simply breath-taking. For skiers I would recommend taking the bus to Cervinia and ask the driver to stop at Valtournenche - Cime Bianche (30 min). One can hire the equipment a few meters away from the bus stop and then ski down the last part of the “Python” (red slope number 1). From there one can buy the ski pass and starts the adventure on board of the “Salette” cable car. I really recommend staying at Le Verger Hotel in Chatillon.

7.05km from downtownI was warmly welcomed on arrival in the foyer with delightful deer head sculptures on the walls. I had walked 30kms of the Via Francigena and was delighted with how comfortable my bed was for a recovery nap. The room and the bathroom were very clean. There was a lovely bar nearby for a recovery Prosecco and not far away a supermarket with a good range of food needed for my lunch on the pilgrim trail next day. This hotel is ideally situated for those walking the Via Francigena. What's more the breakfast next day included five different cereals, however, the piece de resistance was the scrambled eggs cooked to order.
7.77km from downtownMy wife and I made our first trip to Italy 30 years ago for our honeymoon, and the Grand Hotel Biliia is the first place we stayed in. Built-in 1908 and completely updated, it's a perfect blend of old and new. The Aosta Valley is the smallest and possibly least-traveled area of Italy, and it's spectacular. The small town of St. Vincent is famous for his therapeutic mineral baths and spa, and the evening "passaggiata" (walk, or passage) is a ritual you can't avoid. It's the old school stroll popular with Italians after the evening meal, and the place is everything you dream of when you dream of lovely small villages. It's all nestled in the Northwest corner of Italy, where it meets France and Switzerland: the Mont Blanc tunnel was once the world's longest (10 miles) leading to Switzerland, and through which both Hannibal and Napoieon once passed. The "Grand Paradiso" that surrounds the hotel sports four mountain peaks over 12,000 feet high. The Italian ski team practices all summer at Cervinia - the Italian side of the Matterhorn - when they have a glacier, which is shrinking. Just driving the windy, picturesque mountain roads, eating at the little restaurants scattered throughout is memorable. The food, service, views, and comfort at the hotel are unforgettable: it's the first time I ever found a bathtub big enough to float my athletic, 6'2" inch frame and I loved it. It's been 30 years and we still speak of that visit: an amazing way to be introduced to Italy.
7.86km from downtownTake a jewel: the Billia resort (Grand Hotel 5*and Park Hotel 4*). It’s in a perfect location (mountain, ****** etc), was completely refurbished a few years back, boasts several restaurants with stunning views, offers 4 and 5 stars accommodation and a beautiful SPA. Any professional, right minded and skilful management team would work wonders with such a gem. Here no! Mediocrity seems to be the goal and I must admit they make it systematically. They even manage to over achieve it with making it even sometimes to bad and carelessness. Prior to our stay, I e-mailed the hotel to ensure our bed would be fitted with a mattress topper as we did on our first visit in February. This was confirmed even at check-in. But at the end, the answer was “we don’t have mattress toppers”. Should we have known that we would have gone somewhere else to protect our backs. I’m also curious to know what happened to the one that was arranged on our first stay. During our two nights stay we didn’t see any member of staff smile... says a lot! The place suffers under maintenance. The spa water jets that were not working in February were still out of order 9 months later... The room was already worn out and we even spotted a well rotten pumpkin in the bar area. The resort boasts many beautiful restaurants but with only one common and limited menu featuring tiny portions of bland and overpriced food. So sad for a region with such a gastronomic reputation. Despite complaining during our stay either at reception or by e-mail, nothing was done and our requests casually ignored. And even simple requests like an additional pillow or refill of the courtesy tray with sugar and tea missed by housekeeping had to be requested twice. Needless to stay this was our second and last stay. But if you’re into mediocrity, make sure to pay them a visit. They’ll be happy to take your money without a smile and ensure to casually ignore your requests and well being.
7.98km from downtownThe hotel is situated in Vall Aosta in a very prominent area near the centre. It has plenty of nice views from the hotel such as seeing the nice mountains. The hotel is manned 24 hours and there was no problem of getting a coffee even late at night. Christina was very helpful and i would definetly stay here again should i decide to come over for a holiday with my family. l recomend this hotel to anyone wishing to come over for a holiday in St vincent. 8.14km from downtownWithout doubt one of the favorite hotels I stayed during my time in Italy! Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff. The staff was extremely friendly, the restaurant very flexible (appreciate this!) and the restaurant supervisor deserves a special thanks. We had five great evenings here, which obviously also added up to the experience. Hotel de la Ville has Spa Center which has everything for get yourself relax. They have very offerings. The natural bath on the end was a great way to end the trekking. The atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to me. All respect for the general manager who does a great job here; a true sample of excellent hospitality!

Hotels Near Area Pic Nic (Corretta) In Aosta Valley Review
Nice place where to spend a few days in a very quiet and clean environment. Omar, the owner, is very friendly and available should any needs arise. The location is very convenient to travel to any destination with The Valle d'Aosta. Recommended.
Unfortunately we only managed to spend 2 nights in this hotel due to the resort closure because of the Coronavirus. Such a shame as the hotel perfectly met our expectations and requirements. Comfy beds, clean rooms and good food. Our two boys particularly enjoyed the buffet breakfast with the amazing pancake machine! Don’t go here expecting modern styling and brand new facilities. This is a great family hotel that isn’t pretentious or precious. Perfect for families and those looking for good quality and value for money. Thanks too to the Esprit/Inghams staff who ensured we were kept informed through the ‘evacuation’ process and got us home within 24hrs of the closure being announced. We’re very worried about how Max and the rest of the team with cope with the resort closure and hope you’ll be able to keep things going so we can come back again next year.
The rooms are new and very comfortable. We got a chance to see the other rooms as well and we love the different designs in each room. We stay in the Suite with the whirlpool and sauna this was an amazing one. We also had two dogs with us which was no problem. We felt so welcome and the owners Andrea and Didier are very helpful and gave us recommendations about restaurants and day trips to Pila. The breakfast was great and we had fresh bread, croissant, local ham and cheese from Aosta and local marmelade and different kind of juices and coffee variations.Everything was very delicious. We come back for sure :)
Again, similar to previous reviews we stayed out of season with our motorhome and had the place to ourselves. An apartment high up (around 1500m), in the quiet of the mountains, comfortable and well-equipped; there is a washing machine onsite. Good hikes nearby and a good shop nearby with fruit, veggies and more.
What a place! This turned out be a hidden paradise in the hills above Saint Vincent. We had only booked one night, but ended up staying three. We loved the location with the amazing view of the Aosta Valley and the surrounding mountains. Flowers and plants everywhere. Dinner outside at the terrasse every evening. Three course meal with vegetables and fruit from the garden. Great for hiking. We did a great hike out-hike in to Mont Zerbion from the maison. And best of all - the lovely couple who runs the place! Top quality service, very friendly, and gave us a lot of good advices for things to do and places to go. They know the Valley and the mountains like their back pocket! We hope to come back some day - and would definitely reckommend the maison to others who seek a quite, romantic place to stay in the Aosta Valley!
I reserved through the official website 2 rooms for 2 nights, which came a little shy of 1.200 euros. The structure was promising and the short trip, paired with access to the hot springs run by the same company, a deserved break for my family and myself. The first thing to disappoint was the short notice about saunas and steam baths unavailable - both at the hot springs and at the hotel - due to Covid-19 (didn't it die with warmth? is it cold which kills it now?), as I would have preferred to find a bigger explanation about the available services before reserving. To be fair, this is not their fault and I could have cancelled, but oh well, I didn't. We arrived at the hotel before 1 PM, and the rooms were not ready, so we asked for a beer in the upper garden near the entrance: the reply was that there was a restaurant downstairs and another garden. I utterly dislike such lack of service, but I take the elevator to the restaurant level. Once there, I could not locate any staff members for several minutes. A few staff-looking people pass by and do not care to stop. Maybe it was my fault since I dislike raising my voice. I eventually find someone who tells me to enter the restaurant (still no bar in view) a couple of windows down the building. In the restaurant, I finally get the chance to speak with someone who insists we have a look at the menu standing in the middle of the room... what kind of hospitality is this? I honestly don't know. The menu provides only set menus with names like "traditional", "ethnic" and "healthy". 26 euro each. No other options. I shall let you determinate whether this is appropriate for a 4-star venue. Food was without flavour, but at least it came with the aforementioned beer. After lunch, rooms are finally ready. Luggage was still at the reception, so I had to bring it in myself - which I am totally fine to do, but I would expect a higher level of service at such a price point. The room was tidy and clean. I found a flower in the W.C. which seemed a bit creepy to me, but maybe it's just cultural differences. The TV was like 16 inches and was perfect to watch while brewing coffee with the complimentary machine, but from the bed my mobile screen seemed way bigger. Since I could not find any bar in the hotel, I thought I could be saved at night by TV, but that just didn't happen. Bathroom amenities were quite good, as they are produced by the QC brand, but there was only a tub with a shower, and no proper shower. I got to shower at the hot springs, so I left the products in the bathroom and used those available there. Breakfast is served in the room. But you don't get to choose what you get, so it's a bit of another laughable experience. The first morning it came after 9 (we asked to be delivered by 8:30) and without hot drinks - since they didn't ask what we wanted. For the next day, I got the chocolate I asked and my dad got his latte. Mum had instead to brew her own tea in a paper cup.
From the minute we arrived we knew we had made a great choice for a few days skiing in La Thuile and courmayeur. This welcoming family run hotel was a typical Italian hotel absolutely spotless with perfect service. The family all chip in to ensure that all your needs in the hotel are catered for wether it’s at breakfast or delivering you in the courtesy drop off at the ski lifts. Grazie
