The hotel is good but not without its weaknesses. Much of it appears to be newly renovated. Some details are nicely done. The floor in the room is faux wood laminate. The bathroom has tile floor, a granite counter and a granite shower surround. However, the bathroom walls and floorboards are not cleanly finished (there is a small gap between the tub and wall). Like the rest of the unit, the bathroom looked clean, but the toilet seat was installed crooked. The tub itself and its fixtures look old but are functional. There’s a gap between the room door and its doorjam that lets light through. A lightswitch near the door has a little light which I expect is to help people find it in the dark; however, this light flickered annoyingly all night like it had a short in the electrical system. Our room had a large bed (it really seems to be sized between a queen and king size) and a sofa bed. The room is spacious but I wish that it had more furniture. The sofa bed would not be comfortable for a large or tall person but it suited for us. The mattresses and linens are comfortable and clean. There is no place to unpack clothing. The large closet has only 3 hangers and the desk unit has 1 low drawer. The sofa bed and side chair are mismatched. The artwork in the room is strictly “old hotel.” The side tables have chipped edges and have no storage. The a/c unit is so noisy that it disturbed our sleep. The pool closes at 9pm, which means that it’s unlikely that we can use it for an after-dinner swim. At the front desk checkin, there are at least 2 signs alerting travelers that the hotel doesn’t offer breakfast. One of the signs admonishes that this is NOT because of Covid. I don’t think that the neighborhood is safe and there wasn’t much nearby that looked attractive. The person at the front desk had no idea about nearby restaurants or a supermarket.

If you are looking to stay at this hotel with your family. DO NOT DO IT!! You will have a horrible experience. I stayed here 4 nights. All 4 nights were horrible. To start off with the room was disgusting. The bathroom was filled with cockroaches. The first night some junkies were next to my room making so much noise starting from 3 am and finally shut the hell up when they shot up high was almost around 6 am so We got no sleep whatsoever. You can tell they were straight up shooting up. you can hear everything. Let me tell you there is no privacy whatsoever the walls are too thin. All 4 nights we heard people having sex in the rooms next to us. That’s got to be one of the most uncomfortable positions to be in. There was people outside drug dealing. There was cops patrolling the parking lot at one point and started to racially profile a couple who wasn’t doing anything but conversing in their car. That’s racist. 2nd night, 3rd and 4th, we were forced to use the same towels cause no one would bring us towels I had to go out and buy toilet paper I even called the front desk 3 times, said they would bring towels and toilet paper to shut me up but never did. I will never stay at this location ever again nor with this branch.

MEDICAL PROCEDURE BOOKING: I booked a room for myself and my daughter because I was having a procedure done on my spine and I had to stay close to the Dr to 24 hours after. I booked this particular hotel because it had free breakfast and an outdoor pool, something my daughter could.enjoy while I slept off the anesthesia. Upon arrival, we were told we would be charged $200 refundable deposit, which was not communicated to me upon booking the room, the pool was closed which was not disclosed to me a the time of booking and breakfast was not being served. I was extremely upset to find out that all the reasons I booked this specific hotel was for the amenities offered. The room was clean and the mattress was the best mattress I've ever slept on in my 43 years.

We stayed at this hotel specifically for its kitchen since we would be in the Phoenix area for weeks.  Overall the hotel is okay but we left for a different, long-term hotel after a week here because it was not conducive to working from the room or working out. Positives: - Front desk and breakfast staff.  Very friendly and helpful. - 1 BR room was spacious.  There is a small table for eating (or work) and another workdesk with lots of outlets but no USB ports. - Location is convenient to major highways and safe to walk around at night. Negatives: - In the room, there are no USB ports, only outlets, and several of ours did not work. - Internet is slow, and when we tried to watch Showtime on the tv, the show literally stopped to buffer every 3 minutes. A/C is very noisy, as is the ice-maker in the fridge.  - They have laundry facilities on the 2nd floor of each building. These rooms are clearly not cleaned.  One of the dryers in our building did not work, which we learned the hard way. - Fitness center was really disappointing and it makes sense that they don't advertise it on their website. Very small, with 2 treadmills and an elliptical.  One treadmill broken the entire week we were there.  They don't supply towels and you have to request water at the front desk--there is none in or around the gym. There are no weights, only 4 kettlebells that max out at 20 lbs.  There is a pulley weight machine with low weights and only 2 types of handles, so we really couldn't use it.  The room was never cleaned.  The wipes were dried out.  There is a sign on the door to wash your hands before and after use, and the bathroom across the hall has a sign that it is locked.  So...yeah. - The other complaint is housekeeping.  We didn't need or want daily housekeeping so we followed the front desk's instructions to place the "do not disturb" sign on the door when we didn't want housekeeping, otherwise they would clean.  On Day 3, we signaled that we wanted cleaning but they skipped our room. By the time we got home, the cleaning staff was going home. They did bring us fresh towels and dish soap as requested. When they came the following day, they very clearly didn't clean the toilet...

Moving and just drove 13hrs from Colorado to Mesa. Checked-in at 2pm on a Thursday. All three front desk receptionists acknowledged me and helped as soon as they could. Received a double upgrade for this two night stay and couldn’t be happier. This fifth floor Alcove suite is very large and faces both the golf course and McDowell’s mountains. The views are just mind blowing. All the hotel amenities are open. The little market is well stocked and perfect when you’ve been on a road all day and just want a few snacks before bed. The room is very clean and comfortable. A few pieces of furniture are a bit outdated but no big deal at all. Thank you all and especially Jessica for checking us in and giving us this great room!

Just finished a 3 night stay at Sheraton Mesa. To summarize this review I can say this property could be amazing with just a little effort from ownership and management. We arrived during a game a Sloan field so entry was interesting to say the least. We checked in as Lifetime Titanium members. No up grade was offered. When asking for an up grade we were told property was completely sold out. We were given our keys with no explanation on where to park or how to get to our rooms. We were informed there was no housekeeping. I returned to front desk to ask where to park and where were are rooms. While there I asked if they were happy that spring training was back. The clerk said “not really “ I said oh I thought you would like to be busy again. He said” we are always busy” remember this because of description to come. I left and went to park which was free but at the back of property. You drag your luggage through two gates and through the pool area to get to lobby elevators. We get to our room and it is so dark! The bathroom had three lights but way too dark to put on make up. The room itself was fine. Bed was very comfortable but bed skirt was stained. The phone did not work and one of the outlets did not work. As I mentioned there was no housekeeping. We had to go to front desk to ask for towels and toilet paper! Even though the hotel advertised three restaurants,None of the restaurants at property were open. No coffee bar no sit down restaurant. The bar at the pool was closed also. The bar inside was open but no blended or frozen drinks. And no food. They did serve breakfast apparently. Concierge lounge was closed. Free water and soda for members was available at the lobby check in The pool looked very nice. However no towels. You had to get them at the front desk. Not nearly enough lounge chairs and only ONE umbrella. The pool was heated which was nice. People smoking around the pool made it uncomfortable. The pool bathroom was locked so you had to go into the lobby to use the restroom. As mentioned above the pool bar was closed no drink or food service available. The pool area was not cleaned first thing in the morning so over flowing trash bins and used towels everywhere In the hallways trash bins were over flowing. I assume because of no house keeping. If management put in some effort to train front desk on customer service. Loungers and umbrellas were added around the pool. Staff was added to insure cleanliness. And bars and restaurants were open. This hotel could be 4-5 stars. Now everyone says “oh it’s because of Covid. “But if your property is sold out and according to front desk always busy. You have a obligation to provide proper services that are in line with the rate that is being charged

I have stayed at this hotel a dozen or so times over the years. I don’t know if the manager has changed or what, but it should not be advertised as a Marriott. The hotel is not as advertised. Came down to AZ to deal with a family tragedy. Stayed at a Marriott property the entire week. Been an elite member for 24 years. The hotel advertises its complimentary airport shuttle service all over the website and on the Bonvoy app. On a Sunday afternoon, I had to return my rental car because my flight took off early the next morning. When I left the hotel, I asked if the shuttle could come picked me up. The front desk staff said, “yeah, but our shuttle driver doesn’t get here til 3.” After I dropped off my rental, tried every ride share and cab company, and no one would pick me up. I waited at the airport til 3 and called the hotel telling them I needed a shuttle pick up. The front desk clerk told me shuttles were for “landmark members only.” What? I’ve never even heard of that. I walked a block or two in the 110 degree heat, (did I mention I had my bags and was in dress clothes?) and then I called back and basically begged them to come get me. I was told, “oh well, we’d have to call a manager to get approval and we don’t know where she is.” Furious, I hung up and walked 1.9 miles to the hotel, bags in tow. When I got to the hotel, the shuttle driver was sitting in the shuttle BS’ing with another employee. When I walked in and asked to speak to a manager, I was told there was no manager. I then showed them the website stating the complimentary shuttle and telling them I’d used it many times before. The front desk clerk said the website was wrong and they just “hadn’t changed it yet.” Worse yet, I was told I would have to walk back the next morning at 4 am. This experience has soured me on Marriott forever. They don’t care anymore about their brand. They’ll hand out a Marriott logo to any building with four walls and a parking lot. This hotel does not care about its guests and clearly does not train its employees to Marriott standards. Why would you be an airport service hotel and not have a shuttle? Worse yet, why lie about it?

We booked an Accessible room. We were directed to the back of the hotel where there was no handicapped parking and no ramp outside. The room did have a wide door and grab bars. But it had a tub, rather than step in shower. We were given only one washcloth for two people. Food was left in the refrigerator from prior tenants and the coffee pot was broken. Since we planned on staying two nights, we brought this to the attention of the front desk, which said they would look into getting things fixed, and/or moving us to a compliant room. No action at all was taken. Very disappointed in the lack of response.

We drove in from a vacation in Tucson to stay on a Sunday night. I was flying out of Phoenix on Monday; my husband was staying until Thursday for business. This hotel is right off a major highway. Our room was on the 6th floor facing the Home Deport parking lot. All night long I heard the traffic--3 ambulances, lots of motorcycles sounding like they were racing each other, semi-trucks rolling down the highway, etc. I can't imagine what it sounds like on a Friday or Saturday night. My husband said the room was loud the rest of the week, too. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. The pool area was nice and large, but we didn't use it during our stay. They have a nice laundry room on the 2nd floor but we didn't use it either. The front desk staff and bartender were all very nice. The bar is very odd as it is in the middle of the dining room anchored by four huge, wide pillars so you can't see people at other parts of the bar. We're guessing they are support beams, but you'd think there would have been a better way to build the hotel. We just shared a chicken tender and fries appetizer, and it was good. We had a couple of drinks also. The hotel has two elevators in the building. One was broken, open, and had the large yellow caution tape in an "X" across the open door. The working elevator we used hadn't been inspected since April 2018, almost 2 years, so it made us a little nervous seeing that the other one was down. Overall I'd recommend a hotel in a quieter area with a better maintenance schedule for the elevators.

I had to beg lady at desk for clean sheets and towels and she said she wouldn’t give them to me until I left the dirty ones in a bag outside my door! I explained to her that I had just worked all night and wasn’t going to steal their sheets and that I would bring the dirty ones down immediately if she would just give me the sheets so I could make my bed and go to sleep. She reluctantly gave them to me but was very rude. I get housekeeping has been cut back due to Covid but if I’m doing everything myself then how about helping instead of hindering? Dang! The carpet is pretty bad. People smoke all the time, there was a cigarette butt on the floor for 2 days, the ac doesn’t keep room cool and shuts off frequently as if it had met set temperature. The only positive thing I can say about this place is the location is good and the maintenance gentleman has been the nicest employee and quick to help me when my drain was clogged and fixed the card swipe on the back door plus he always smiles and waves and asked how things are going. Oh and the nt shift clerk gentleman was nice too. If my company hadn’t been paying for my stay I would have bounced out the next night.
