I am writing this review from the hotel lobby at 12:11am. I dropped my bags off at 2pm and was given a luggage tag and told my room would be ready shortly. I was told I would be called when my room was ready. It was confirmed and there was no question that I was here and ready to check in. I went on with my planned activities including my dinner plans and now coming back to the hotel have been told they have no room for me. I have never ever had such an experience. They have offered to relocate me to a hotel outside If Cincinnati. This was a quick vacation trip totally ruined by this hotel experience. Under no circumstances will I ever book this hotel chain again. They massively overbooked and have relocated many guests. I have been told on the side by a sympathetic employee that this is standard procedure. NEVER BOOK 21C!!!

We stayed here with our toddler. We were on the 5th floor in a double queen bed room with a patio facing the inner atrium. It was a clean room, plenty of space for our toddler to run around in. We loved the patio cause we would go on it and enjoy a drink from the bar while our toddler slept. We also ate breakfast on the patio as a family. The coffee shop Kidd Coffee was really good coffee! We had the cheesecake from the restaurant for dessert and that was good too. The valet were always nice and helpful, including Patrick. Valet did take a long time at least once so we started to call for the car 15-20 minutes before we needed it. You call for the car via text and you'll get a text when you car is coming around.

The hotel is located in the middle of the city, everything is well reachable. Unfortunately before the hotel was a building site with a lot of noise all night. Breakfast is a joke, even for American conditions. Price performance is not true here.

We stayed here to attend a wedding at Bell Events Center and it was just amazing. Its a smaller property - but when we requested for an adjoining rooms to accommodate our small one's - they made sure we got what we need for the stay. The hotel looks brand new as well so that's a plus. Rooms are in great size and parking location super accessible (additional fee). Our little one's also enjoyed their indoor pool! Big shout out to Sabrina (GM) and Jacob (AGM) for making our stay at Holiday Inn & Suites Cincinnati Downtown GREAT!

My husband and I stayed at the Fairfield on our way home from Florida. The hotel is being renovated now. The lobby and room that's used for the complementary breakfast are very nice and modern. The breakfast itself was very good - lots of choices and everything was fresh. The room we had was small but very comfortable. The bathroom seems to have been recently renovated and was very nice. The furniture in the room was comfortable and thoughtfully designed. The bed was VERY comfortable. We would definitely come back to this hotel in the future.

First of all, I wasn't even going to write this review. BUT... I got the email from Comfort Suites/Choice Hotels asking for feedback.... and when I kept trying to leave this review, it would not let me! Maybe an algroithm prevents me from leaving the bad review. So... here is what I tried to leave as my review on their feedback form: ***We have stayed in several hotel this summer across the Midwest and mid Atlantic states. And... this one was the worst. But this was the location we needed. The good: Coffee! 1. Very good coffee available 24 hours in the lobby. 2. The mattress was comfortable. The Bad: Everything Else. :-( A. Workers moving a safe using a luggage cart when we arrived. (I don’t know if we used the same luggage cart, but the cart we used had a flat tire and did not roll. B. Had to sign up for a 40 minute time slot to swim, (covid) but when we arrived, they were only two people there... and the door knob to the pool area is broken and when we left the pool area we saw people from the neighborhood going in the back door to the pool area I guess to swim?? They had suits on and towels. Also, jacuzzi (hot tub) was closed? Holiday Inn Express in Ironton hot tub was open in July.) C. Very dirty room. I bumped the plastic cover on the air-conditioning and it fell right off and the inside was caked with mold. Gross! Dirt/dust on floor. D. The air-conditioning unit fan kept shutting off. We like constant fan noise all night for background white noise. E. No fruit at breakfast. Could have had cereal and fruit and milk. But the only thing was muffins. (Muffins are a fancy word for cake.) Our family got three muffins and went back to get another one and a huge group of kids came to the lobby and took all of the muffins. They were loud kids and sort of rude. other hotels we have been to the Summer had served grab bags of meals to go, or cereal and fruit, and a Holiday Inn express we stayed at even had a hot breakfast made to order from the lady working. So..... Mostly, this place needs Deep cleaned. If we have to go back for business, I’m going to try the Hampton Inn across the street. This was not an acceptable stay. Sorry

We stayed here three nights in October. Extremely clean, well-managed facility, recent complete upgrade of all interior spaces. Staff -- from front desk, to bartender, to housekeeping -- are extremely customer-focused, professional, and friendly. Accommodations are quite comfortable -- on par with Marriott's Courtyard brand. An extremely good value. Very surprised it wasn't more crowded.

I just got back from a week stay. Overall it was a nice hotel and I would reccomend to anyone staying in the area. It was a short drive to King's Island, Cincinnati Zoo, Newport Aquarium, and other attractions. The hotel was very clean. The kids loved the pool. There was a cart with clean towels to use in the pool area, so no need to bring a towel. There is a washer and dryer across their hall from the pool. It was only $1.50 each. Breakfast was very good and had several hot and cold options. If anything ran low the employee quickly filled it back up. The one employee,I think her name was Cathy, was very friendly and my family looked forward to talking to her in the mornings. The downfalls to the hotel were that the walls are thin and we could hear the guests in the hallways and the people in the rooms beside us. Thankfully we had respectful guests beside us and they were quiet during the night. However if you need to sleep during the day I suggest bringing earplugs. At check in we were told they would clean our room on the 5th day. I understand because of Covid there isn't daily housekeeping. However, I think every five days is too long. We didn't have anyone clean our room during our stay. We were there from Sunday to Sunday. We had to stick our garbage and dirty towels in the hallway. Two different times during our stay we had to go to the front desk for toilet paper and clean towels. We also ran out of shampoo. Thankfully it was on the day we were leaving. Even though our stay wasn't perfect we would defiently stay again because of the employees and cleanliness of the hotel.

Cute decor. Prime location but basically no amenities. The gym and laundry are like micro rooms and it feels like people live there. The hotel has a strange aroma and smells like a nursing home. Also they don’t have room service, water bottles inside the room, and no vending machines for snacks or beverages. So if you’re hungry or thirsty in the middle of the night you’re on your own.

This place is so convenient. Easy valet parking. We self parked in the garage - plenty of spots - but then we saw how quick and easy the valet is so next time we will valet! Location is in a fun area with lots of shops. Easy to get to all the Cincy highlights. It seems like it might be noisy but our room was very quiet at night. They have a small but clean pool, a small but easy and friendly coffee shop, and the front staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are a little small, but bed was comfy. One note: we only had one USB port in the whole room 😄. Lesson learned: always bring plug-ins for your devices. There were plenty of outlets. The hydrangeas in front of the hotel were so stunning!

Front desk staff extremely friendly and helpful! Needed a place for my out-of-state 19yo college student to sleep for a few nights. Marriott hotels wouldn’t budge on their 21yo min age rule. Hilton employees easily mentioned an addon feature for room reservations that allowed my daughter to checkin without incident. Hotel was clean and on-site restaurant was an added bonus. Not sure why you would plop down a nice new hotel and put in air conditioners that sound like planes taking off. And it wasn’t just one room - it was both rooms of the suite, so I’m guessing that it was the same throughout the hotel. I was only able to sleep by wearing earplugs every night. It’s nice that the bedroom has a ceiling fan but the remote control didn’t work and when we called the desk to ask about it they said that it was impossible to have the light off and fan on at the same time. It’s either both on or both off. I suspect the person at the desk didn’t actually know what she was talking about but I never followed up. Rooms were certainly big enough, though not enormous. Bathrooms were functional. Breakfast was good, with some different options every morning. Pool looked very basic, workout room was ok but the floor was sticky and the laundry room did the job. As far as location goes that depends upon what you’re looking for. I wanted a hotel between downtown and the tennis center and that’s what I got. I wouldn’t typically want a hotel like this that is sitting in the middle of a mall, surrounded by chain restaurants, with nowhere interesting to walk, but many people might like this. I really only care about one thing in a hotel and that’s that it’s quiet enough to sleep and because of the air conditioning this hotel failed. I’d probably give it 2.5 stars if that were an option.

The staff is great: warm and friendly. The hotel was clean and felt safe inside. The bed was pretty comfortable. The AC worked. The condition of the hotel was not great. There were big holes in the carpet; ugly caulk around the toilet; the tub was stained from water drips; the bathroom fan was loud (although effective). There was a portion of a cloth bathmat in front of the ice machine in the hall - not even a full one, but part of one with a frayed edge. My room faced the interstate and it was really loud. This is the kind of place to stay if you really need a reasonable rate and aren't going to spend much time in your room.

At first appearance driving up was nice and inviting with a nice covered front porch with tables and chairs. Then you notice on both ends the groups of people smoking off it next to the no smoking signs. We pull up into the space reserved for “gold and platinum members”, which we are platinum members, which has been a nice perk a many Choice Hotels. As we get out to unload, we discover that, it’s located in a weird handicap marked space. It’s only marked on the ground, not by a sign. The only sign is the Choice sign. (see photo) How confusing is this? So, we finish loading and decide to move the car just to make sure we do not get towed. As we were walking up, we notice the floors above, the vending room, the lights on both the 2nd and 3rd floors, as just flickering and strobing and the rooms look like they are in disrepair. While walking by the porch and the non-smoking sign where all of the smokers were smoking, we notice that the ground all around is just littered with cigarette butts and reeked of smoke. It was disgusting and just showed a complete lack of disregard of upkeep of the grounds and building. (see photo) Our check-in was friendly and helpful. However, we didn’t receive our free “gift” like we were supposed to and when we asked about the “hot breakfast” that was advertised on the sign outside, we were told that there wasn’t a hot breakfast anymore that they just haven’t removed the sign. They would provide coffee and to-go bags in the morning. The shower water pressure was good but the hot and cold were reserved. The large bathroom counter was nice to have for a change. The elevator was very slow and in need of some TLC such as some paint and upkeep. The paint and walls around the elevator are beat up. Most employees were not wearing masks. At breakfast there were no to go bags available and there was no coffee. About 8:30 there was some lukewarm coffee and no one around to tend to it. When we were checking out, we mentioned it and they said that would make another pot, but we were leaving so that was pointless and said nothing about the bags. Overall, this was a clean, comfortable room to stay in. We would stay here again if in the area. I would hope that management would clean up the area and make things more presentable.

TownePlace Suites Cincinnati Downtown

The hotel is located in the middle of the city, everything is well reachable. Unfortunately before the hotel was a building site with a lot of noise all night. Breakfast is a joke, even for American conditions. Price performance is not true here.
