I am not one to write bad reviews but I am not sure that the rest of these reviews stayed at the same place as me? I want to make sure other guests understand what to expect when staying here: I stayed here for multiple weeks while moving homes. When I moved into the room, it was filthy. There was crumbs and dirt all over. I refused to use half the shelves in the kitchen or closet because I had no idea what was all over them. Half the buttons on the remote for the TV did not work, the lights are all motion sensor (understandably) but they will turn off if you are laying in bed and you physically have to get up again to turn them back on as the sensor is by the door, very inconvenient as I think the lights are on for max 30 mins at a time. It took me a while to figure out how to get them not to turn on in the middle of the night when I got up for bathroom breaks also. The lights are an incredible pain. They’re always beeping too.. My room faced the highway and the windows are poorly isolated. It will sound like the window is open, but trust me, it’s not. The kitchen consists of a fridge, dishwasher, microwave, sink and two stove tops. You are provided with the bare minimum in terms of silverware (1 each of a fork/knife/spoon/glass and a pan/pot). There is nothing else so bring your own. Because there is a stovetop, the fire alarm goes off EVERYDAY, multiple times a day and throughout the night. I didn’t understand why nobody left the building the first time it went off, by the end of my stay I didn’t leave my room either. That shows you how common they are. At this point, I’m surprised they haven’t had them removed or south plainsfield FD hasn’t forced them to get rid of them. There is a distinct smell to the place, the hallways have a stench to them and no windows are open to try to air it out. Luckily the room was fine. If anything, you could open the window in the room but only very slightly (was blocked otherwise). I stayed here during covid and although there are signs posted everywhere requiring people to wear a mask, I was one of the only people that wore one. Not even the hotel workers wore them or housekeeping when cleaning the rooms... The elevator was also broken for extended periods of time, including while I was checking out and I had to carry multiple suitcases and boxes/bags down flights of stairs to my car. I was told multiple times prior to my check out day that “the maintenance guy was on his way today”. Multiple days passed and it was still out of use. Oh and the basic WIFi? Unusable, my phone couldn’t stay connected to it for one minute. I blew through data here. Somehow there are 1000 channels but the WiFi doesn’t work. Please please consider everything in my review prior to booking a stay here, I was as honest as possible, otherwise you will be disappointed.

The motel has free parking. My check in went quickly, but the desk clerk seemed reluctant to give me a wake up call (it did not matter as I woke up earlier than my requested call time). The property seemed a little run down. The rooms have inside entries. The room was quiet enough for a good night's sleep and had everything I needed, but it was poorly laid out. The check out process went smoothly.

Breakfast area sufficient space for hotel guests. Didn't use the exercise room but saw out being used, in working order. Interior of hotel, hallways, and rooms were clean and contemporary. Had trouble connecting to the Internet so rather than try and get help, I used mobile hotspot. Would stay there again for business trip.

Every time I come to see children at Rutgers University, I live here. The rooms are fully equipped with refrigerators, microwaves, safes, and automatic coffee machines. Not a central air conditioner, but a large air conditioner near the window, which can be adjusted to your preference. The bedding was clean and the softness of the mattress was just right. Breakfast is better than foreign hotels, with coffee, milk, yogurt, bread slices, butter, sausage, baked potatoes, bacon, orange juice. There is free fruit in the lobby when you come to live in summer. This time it may be winter. I haven't seen any Chinese-speaking service staff. (Although it is mentioned in the introduction), there are pizzerias, Wal-Mart supermarkets, Red Dragon restaurants where you can order lobster packages and oysters. Not far away there is a Chinese restaurant called Chopsticks Forest.

Hotel room was large and clean. Most electric outlets did not work. Heater fan ran constantly and was loud. Bathroom towels were very small, barely larger than hand towels. No elevator in the hotel even though there were two floors.
