Folkestone
|0.5km from city centerWe had a lovely stay at The Relish. We were greeted with a warm welcome and found our room clean and tastefully decorated, as was the entire guesthouse. The breakfast was great, a good selection of both hot and cold options, served promptly in a lovely breakfast room looking out over the garden. The location was ideal, a few minutes from the Leas costal park and beach, yet we found it extremely quiet. Our host was really friendly and helpful, and made us feel very welcome. The whole experience at The Relish was very relaxing and easy, and we would highly recommend a stay.

|3.32km from city centerMum and I stayed here the night before our journey with the Eurotunnel. (Really close to the tunnel) Check in was easy and all the staff members we came across were friendly. The rooms were clean and the beds were huge! Pretty sure they were king size beds! And also, super comfy beds. We were also a couple of doors away from each other which was really good. The breakfast was good, not a huge selection but done very well. It was included in the price of the room. Would happily stay here again before another trip with the Eurotunnel.

|1.17km from city centerFella 4 doors down said he saw what looked like a lady in Victorian dress pass him on the stairs, he said he was also awoken at 3am by the same apparition standing at the foot of his bed pointing at him. But to be fair he did stink of booze. Not exactly the Chelmsford Hilton but not a bad gaff for the price. Great location, had a feel of a classic hotel about it, bit like the one out of the Shining but with more Jack Duckworth than Jack Nicholson. Drinks in the bar weren't bad but did have to question the scotch as it had an after-taste that bought back memories of intamacy with an ex-Girlfriend who only showered once a week. Situation was sorted imedietely and went onto G&T's with a few Dolly birds up from Hastings so wasnt a problem. A group of locals outside tried to intimidate when one ventured out but after squaring up to the ring leader, fists raised and eyeballs looking like that italian bald ref from back in the day the fella and his cronies sooned backed down. Not sure its a place for youngsters or families but for a 62yr old fella like myself looking for a night away from the Missus its the perfect gaff. Highly recommended.

|0.61km from city center Not a bad hotel. The reception area is modern and tidy. The staff friendly snd welcoming. We stayed here for 4 nights in a 'Superior Room'. The room was big and ok. The wallpaper was stained and not very nice, obviously they've had problems with a leaking roof or gutter in the past Tea and coffee is provided but be aware there is a charge if you want any more than a cuppa each! The bathroom was ok but didnt have a shelf or anywhere to keep toiletries etc. The hotel is about 12-15 minute walk from the Railway Station, right on the sea front although the beach is a long wsy below, with no easy access. But the walk aling the top is good.

|0.43km from city centerStayed for 2nd year in a row for a dance festival at Leas Cliffe. Just me and my Grandaughter and others from our dance school, made to feel very welcome. Very clean, comfortable room......Grandaughter was especially pleased that it was the same twin room as last year. Delicious breakfast! Very homely bnb, great for families and very accommodating hosts. Lovely stay, thank you! Will be back next year.

|0.27km from city centerExcellent location, train station and Morrison are just 5 minutes away. Easy checkin, nicely decorated and sparkling clean. The property is spacious and look exactly like the pictures. The kitchen have everything we needed.
The only thing is there is no extractor hood, so be careful when doing pan fry.

|0.64km from city centerWe stayed at the Southcliff for the first time this week. We were welcomed with open arms and made to feel right at home. Our room was spacious with a super king size bed, a lovely bathroom, with a bath, and plenty of really hot water. The tea and coffee facilities were ample and we had a flat screen TV. The room was spotless with lots of extra blankets and pillows for the bed. Our room had a bay window, overlooking the beautiful, sunny gardens of the Leas in Folkestone. We were given really useful information about the area and visited a few gorgeous places. Breakfast was another value for money experience. We were given a wide choice of continental and hot varieties. The eggs and bacon and sausages were really fresh and tasty and cooked to perfection. All the fruit juices were chilled, and fresh and we Our tea and coffee were served in pots with fresh milk. We were offered fresh tea and coffee in the foyer of the hotel, all day. The bar was open every day and evening and we had ice cold pints of beer on the wide patio overlooking the sea. All in all we had a very pleasant stay with people who took great care of us. I would recommend The Southcliff without hesitation.
