The room (63, 5th floor) exceeded our expectations by being more spacious and more comfortable. The beds were really comfy, room was very quiet, the built in blinders on the windows make the room pitch black. Breakfast choice could have been better but manageable. The hotel location for us was quite comfortable to reach from the airport, near by are several restaurants and cafes. Directions given by the hotel staff: how to get to hotel from Schönefeld Airport, first walk to the airport station and buy an ABC ticket from the machine (EUR 3.40 - change will be useful) You have to validate the ticket by stamping it (there is a box with a slit either on or just before the platform) Then you have 2 possibilities. 1. Take the S9 train from platform 11 to S Greifswalder Strasse and then change to the M4 tram direction S Hackescher Markt. Get off at the second stop 'Hufelandstrasse' 2. Take either the RB14 train (platform 6) or the RE7 train (platform 4) to Alexanderplatz and change to the M4 tram direction Falkenberg or Zingster Strasse. Get out at the fourth stop 'Hufelandstrasse' Walk along Greifswalder Strasse and turn right into Immanuelkirchstr. You will find our driveway on the left hand side at number 14a. Take the elevator to the 3rd floor and you have arrived. On the down size: Pillow was quite strange-just a flat square slightly fluffy thing. And the TV is way too microscopic for this room :)
The breakfast was delicious, with fried eggs and bacon, which gave me a taste. For parking charges, you can go straight to the hotel. Note that you can go straight through the gas station and don't take the road.
I stayed 3 nights at the Pfefferbett Hostel in Berlin in December 2021. Check-in and check-out were smooth and the staff friendly. My dormitory was spotless with a locker to store my belongings. The lobby is great to meet people and play pool. They also have a bar with a good selection of drinks. I also appreciated the fireplace after a long day in the cold! Overall, superb value, I would definitely come back again!

I was a little worried based on previous reviews, but this hotel was an excellent value and nice place to stay. The rooms were updated and clean. The amenities are a little basic, but that wasn’t a surprise given the affordable price of the room. The staff was friendly and helpful. The patio and garden in the back of the hotel was a nice place spot to sit after a day of sightseeing. I didn’t try the breakfast (and it seemed a bit expensive relative to nearby cafes) but it looked good. The location was great. There are good public transportation options and it’s a great neighborhood. There were some noise issues (a nearby playground during the day and some noisy neighbors at night), but neither were intolerable.
Just 2 tram stops from Berlin's Alexanderplatz Square, this guest house in the Prenzlauer Berg district offers cosy rooms, easy access to the Volkspark Friedrichshain Park, and good transport connections.Hotel Pension Intervarko provides brightly furnished rooms with TVs. Shared bathrooms can be found in the hallway. For a surcharge, you can treat yourself to the Intervarko's varied breakfast before exploring the German capital. This service is available until 11:00 throughout the week. The M4 tram line stops directly opposite, just a 3-minute journey from Alexanderplatz Square with its famous TV Tower, as well as the direct TXL bus to Tegel Airport and direct trains to Sch?nefeld Airport. In between excursions, guests can relax in the nearby Volkspark Friedrichshain, a 5-minute walk from the Hotel Pension Intervarko. A variety of international restaurants and several nightlife venues are located within walking distance.
The hotel is located in one of the trendy areas of Berlin, in an awesome ‘public bath building’ from the turn of the last century. The layout is a little confusing, with the pool as the centrepiece, surrounded by curious access ways via the old changing rooms on a floor level below, while rooms are distributed over the rest of the building. The latter are large and feature coffee making facilities and a bottle of water. And there is a really nice hotel bar with an open fireplace – it is popular, so was overcrowded on both nights we stayed. So far so good. However, accommodation is overpriced compared to what you get. We had a Souterrain Room (which was much darker than apparent on the hotel web pages) with a bathroom in disrepair (sink wouldn’t drain, sliding door between bedroom and bath/WC area was ill aligned, would not shut and even slide open on its own occasionally). This sense of mild neglect – mentioned in other comments here on Tripadvisor – was evident also from a rotting slipper in a flowerbed of an inner courtyard that we passed every time on our way in and out. All-in-all, not what you expect for a EUR135 room in Berlin. But – your stay will get even more expensive if while there you decide to have breakfast (EUR46 for two), park a car (EUR25 per day), or even if you just want to go for a swim in the hotel pool - which is a bit of a surprise for a hotel that advertises itself as “a historic boutique hotel with pool in Berlin Prenzlauer Berg”. Much of this is lacking transparency. When you collect a pool access card, you are not told that this will be associated with extra charges for hotel guests. When you select hotel parking you are told that on-street parking in front is EUR2/h, but not that it is EUR15 per day on the main road next to the hotel or in the Contipark garage 200m away at Kulturbrauerei. Also: you could opt out of room service and receive a pool voucher in exchange, though that option we were told by a fellow guest, not by hotel staff. Oh, and housekeeping may well enter your room without knocking first... So, it is a bit of a shame that the amazing location and architectural setting are let down by the state of repair and the unfortunate quality of management. If you look for a hotel – be aware. And if you do stay there – have breakfast at ‘Engelberg’, a high quality eatery two minutes down the road (at less than half the cost). P.S.: I raised these matters with the hotel directly. Their response did not address cost and intransparency, but promised to try harder with cleaning and repairs. Well – at least something.
Came to Berlin for a long weekend with my family, unfortunately the hotel they booked was horrendous and more of a hostel- without sounding like a spoilt brat I couldn’t stay in such a tiny cramped room with 4 other people so I decided to try to book a hotel nearby. Managed to book hotel Adele on booking.com for about €150 for Thursday-Sunday. I arrived late on Thursday so had to use the key box, unsure if it’s due to the time of the trip being affected by COVID but the hotel was eerily quiet and I do wonder if there were any other guests! I was just by myself and was pleasantly surprised by my room, bathroom with a bath, shower, sink and toilet (nice shower gel, body lotion and soap was also provided). I had a tv with a double bed and the Art Deco theme is nice- I really enjoyed the aesthetic of the place. Found the corridors a bit creepy, particularly at night coming back alone, room could have done with a floor length mirror, didn’t see any staff during my stay and the teas were not restocked during my stay but for the price at such short notice I can’t complain and would recommend hotel Adele!
I found this hotel to be well equipped and located for my purposes, my work place at Gendarmenmarkt was 5 km removed, easily navigable by Lime scooter or public transport. The room was bordering on cramped with only 14 square meters, not allowing for involved yoga exercises, I did manage somehow eventually, however the bed more than made up for that. Good mattress and comforter. Indeed, as said in other reviews, the lack of airco makes for a stuffy atmosphere, but that is fixable by opening the window at the draft setting, giving a small twist of the window handle without opening the window frame. The bathroom comes with the basics, although it looks a bit old and used, it is nonetheless squaky clean. The interior parking has space for a few vehicles, but the entrance is a cramped horror, had to fold the outer mirrors and drive at a snail pace to be able to enter the lot. There are plenty restaurants to be found nearby, as well as a late night shop or two for snacks and things. All in all a good address for a short stay in town, very good value, I stayed five nights for not even 50 euros per night without breakfast (plenty breakfast places around for the same rate). Nice visit.
The hotel is okay overall, in the Siemens town, next to the subway. Not too much service, some at the front desk are good, some are not smiling, but also charge extra for breakfast. Later, I will go to the exhibition and change places.
Location is awesome. It's almost like living in a park atmosphere. Lots of walking trails nearby, close to downtown and most of the major tourist attractions, but still in a quiet area. Public transit is readily available (bus stop right across the street, and several trams within short walking distance). Front desk staff were incredible throughout our 5-day stay there -- from check-in to check out. As we were in Germany to assist a family member, ours was more like a working holiday than a relaxing one and although our personal circumstances were seemingly constantly in flux, the staff were EXTREMELY courteous and helpful in adapting our reservations several times. The hotel is very clean and well-maintained. There is a nice beer garden in the back where you can get an early start on ”the German experience”, but don't worry about all-night partying or rowdiness...it closes around 9:00 p.m. so, even though we had a room right above it, the noise was never an issue. Rooms are well-soundproofed so getting a good night's sleep was never a problem either. I would give this place more stars if possible, primary due to the outstanding staff and service provided during our stay. This will definitely be our ”go-to” place whenever we are in Berlin.
Really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Great room with comfortable bed and pillows. Easy walk from central train station. Free tea and coffee every morning. It's right next to a supermarket so you can get your own breakfast.
Because the other room type is set the next day, the housekeeping staff is very helpful to change the room, we do not have to run back specially, the nearby traffic and shops are very convenient! Super recommended
The hotel is very good, the room is large and the breakfast is very good. It is very clean inside. That is, the surrounding may be new, a little deserted, and go out to meet, because I met a deep well ice tramp to grab the phone. But the hotel is really very good!
The location is good, it is very convenient to go to various attractions, and you can walk or take public transportation. Shopping around is very convenient. Reception front desk and doorman service are very good and very polite. The hotel's decoration style is more ancient, and it doesn't matter if it is different from person to person. It is difficult to comment. What the individual doesn't like is the breakfast mode provided by the hotel. The buffet style on the table is only a small variety of bread, butter, cheese, sliced meat, a little fruit, a little juice and so on. Any omelet or egg, or sausage, or hot vegetables, must be ordered in a variety of language menus provided by a single door. Although the speed of serving after ordering is OK, the taste is average and even disappointing. The taste of the drink is average. The overall feeling of the hotel's breakfast quality is not worth the price it sells. In particular, if you are accustomed to eating a self-service rich breakfast, you may not be able to adapt to this breakfast mode.
This is a fabulous base for your stay in Berlin, located in a vibrant part of the city close to public transport. I almost didn’t book here because of the very equivocal recent reviews - I’m so glad I looked passed those reviews, noting that Booking.com rates the hotel at 8.6, which is excellent. Let’s start with all the negative comments on TripAdvisor that have been made about this place which are simply NOT true in my experience. 1. All the windows are double glazed, and our apartment on level 4 had direct line of sight to the train station. Not a single train screech or vehicle noise did we hear. These rooms are super quiet. 2. Yes, this is a self service hotel. PIN code for building and room entry, WhatsApp help if things go wrong. Although there was a staff member at the reception desk when we arrived, we did not expect anyone to be available. Everything worked as anticipated. Flawless. 3. The Intimate Suite that we booked for 10 days was considerably larger than expected - one large living space with a sofa, dining table and four chairs, mini built-in desk, open balcony with metal table and chair, small kitchenette and adequate sized bedroom with closet and safe. High ceilings made the space feel voluminous and light. People need to simply make sure they are booking the appropriate sized room - like in any hotel. Don’t choose tiny and cheap if you want space to swing the cat. 4. There is no servicing of the room / apartment during your stay. This is made clear on the website. People who complain about this simply didn’t read the hotel conditions on the Numa website. Extra towels and toilet rolls are available in the laundry room if you need them. 5. Admittedly the kitchenette is small and the layout a little perplexing. The microwave on a shelf above head height is an obvious health and safety issue and would not be permitted in many jurisdictions. There is no toaster and limited bench space. There is a mini bar style fridge, ceramic cooktop, sink, cooktop exhaust, Nespresso machine and a few basic crockery and cutlery items, as well as a frypan and cooking pot. OK, you’re no going to cook the family Sunday roast dinner for 10 in this kitchenette; there are gazillions of nearby restaurants for that. 6. Although there is one washer and one dryer for the building, it is operated by the WeWash app, where you can book your time. Super convenient and the hotel provides free laundry detergent. Wash costs €2.50 and dryer €2.00. We didn’t have a problem using the washer and dryer when we wanted. The dials on both machines are in German, but the QR code on the wall with the instructions for use also provides the user manual in multiple languages. Extra stars ⭐️ for this hotel: The hotel air-con worked a treat during the 35C days - unlike a few previous hotels in Scotland and Norway that struggled under the strain of lesser temperatures. Nearby (50 meters, open till 10pm) Lidl supermarket has everything you need - food, booze, toiletries.
The location of the hotel is very good, with a subway/tram station next to it, and convenient transportation.
There are many shopping shops nearby, and it is not far from the Haak Market. It is very convenient to eat, drink and play.
The room is large, there is a hidden induction cooker, and there are kitchen utensils in the cabinet, which is very suitable for friends who want to cook for themselves.
I really like the washing and care products in the room. The soap is black, which is very special.
I am a guest of your's. I am very happy here. I sing highly of your service.
First of all, the hotel is so beautiful. It looks like a garden. I enjoy it.
Then, foods are delicious and some of them are amazing. Most important reason
is that the bed is so big and soft that I don't want to get up every morning.
It's wonderful here. I can't believe it that I must leave. I want to live here
again if I come to this city again.Thank you.Sincerely yours a guest.
We always tend to stay here when in Berlin as the location is perfect for the gay area. Hotel staff are very friendly & accommodating. Room was warm & comfy but some of the furnishings are looking a little outdated now. Cleaner didn’t automatically come every day which was disappointing - no doubt another ridiculous Covid19 rule. The fridges with minibar seem to have been removed from the room which is a little annoying - shall we blame covid19 for that too?! The hotel also expects you to wear face masks which is a bit unnecessary as you can walk round any bar, restaurant, or shopping centre now without the need for a mask. I don’t blame the staff In the hotel for this rule but the company needs to get a grip & realise that most travellers are fully vaccinated now. How else could we have got to Germany in the first place? Having said that, we would stay here again as overall the facilities & location are good.
The hotel is nice and very good. It is especially suitable for traveling with children. It is also a good choice for business trips because the floors are very high and the scenery is particularly good. It is also very close to the attractions, basically you can reach it on foot. Will continue to stay next time.
It is a suburb of Berlin, but in fact, it takes 30 minutes to get to the most central area of Berlin by tram. The hotel is about 2 minutes from the tram station, and the tram runs until 12 o'clock in the evening. Compared with the price, the price is very high. The hotel room is also large, with 3 beds, perfect for families with children.
I have seen many hotels in Berlin and this one is by far the cleanest/most hygenic one! Especially now during Corona times, they literally send their cleaning team to sanitize door handles etc. every hour and they have a full no-contact check-in and check-out system that works by a telephone service that is always there for you. The cozy rooms and excellent location at Rosethaler Platz makes the stay just perfect. A secret tip: ask for one of their ”signature rooms”, created by local Berlin artists (no additional costs charged). Definitely a recommendation for everyone!
The whole building is the first time the youth hostel of the hostel has seen it. I felt a mixed room for eight people. People from various countries came in and said hi without chatting, like five girls and three boys. After check-in, you have to pick up your pillowcase and sheets by yourself across from the elevator. The eight-person room has storage boxes under the bed, as well as its own locker. The public bathroom is fairly clean
Because we are two girls to go to Berlin to play, so it is quite important to stay safe. The location of this home is very good, there are subways, supermarkets, commercial streets, and Chinese restaurants (the reviews are quite high, but I did not eat). It can be considered as a quiet place. The hotel is quiet near the hotel. It will go back around 11:00 in the middle of the night. There will be no strange people wandering around. But after a five-minute ten minute walk to the commercial street, curry36 also has a branch there. The hotel looks like it will be after 3 pm, but you can leave your luggage in advance. A credit card guarantee is required before check-in, and if not, a debit card is also available. The English at the front desk is also good. (In addition, the iced peach steam in the lobby is very good) I live like a suite, 59 flat. Is the entrance to the living room? There is a sofa TV or something, going inside is a bed, a wall behind the bed is a table, you can make tea or coffee. The wardrobe is also over there. Overall it feels quite big, there are two bathrooms, the shower and the bathtub are separated in the bathroom. (The only downside is that the bath water is easy to overflow, and the bathroom is a wooden floor. It takes a long time to step on it. It feels a bit uneven.) Breakfast did not eat, so I don't know, the overall is a good hotel, not expensive, the service is not bad.
The hotel is located on the luxury street of Berlin. There are various big-name and traditional German brands, as well as general department stores such as Kadiwei, and also direct stores of Apple and Tesla. Shopping is very good. Go to Charlotten. The Fort Palace is also very close, but the facilities are a bit old.
The position is quite far from everything. The staff ( a guy ) was not really friendly. I asked for information for the metro and he told me to look for on my iPhone . When I checked out he did everything looking at his mobile phone and he never told me goodbye when I left . The bedroom was very little.
The location of this hotel is good. There are two Chinese restaurants nearby. Go right and turn left. The first owner of the restaurant called Green Restaurant is more enthusiastic. The front one seems to be Cantonese. KADEWE Shopping The mall is about 10 minutes walk away; it needs to be emphasized: the hotel room is small, Wifi can only connect one device at a time, the speed is normal, the room just entered the moldy smell, originally wanted to change the room, the next day tastes slightly Better; convenient transportation, a few hundred meters in the vicinity is U BUS station or 100/200 station; next time it is estimated that this hotel will not live, because of the taste of the room, wifi, and cost. If there is no special requirement for taste and WiFi, this location hotel is worth considering.
Great traditional European hotel Hygienic negligence Improved with complaints and apologize promptly to remedy. Unique geographical location, historical heritage, is the legendary name of the hotel industry, the only.
If you spend the night in this city, it's a great hotel. The location is very good, the surroundings are very quiet, and there are very good restaurants nearby. If you had stayed here, you would not have chosen another hotel.
Good location, small rooms but basic facilities and clean. It is convenient to travel, there are many attractions around, and the airport is about 26 Euros. The room booked did not include breakfast, but there was a buffet on the first floor, 12 euros for one person. To experience the local breakfast in Berlin, we chose to go out and have breakfast in the bakery. The hotel helps to make a reservation for a taxi and needs to pay for the service. The actual taxi at the entrance of the hotel is not difficult to call. When leaving the hotel, it is a black taxi. It feels like being bypassed.
A great hotel in a central location. The breakfast was great, although the atmosphere was pretty noisy taking into account the huge number of people staying at the hotel. The only disadvantage is that for parking I was not able simply to drive into the parking garage, although it says that no prior reservation is needed, so I suppose I had to call the hotel in advance and tell them I'm coming with a car. So I would advise Ctrip to update this part of the information. Nevertheless, if you want to pay 10€ instead of the 22€ a day for parking in the hotel's parking garage, you can consider the parking area at Gleisdreieck, which is around 5 minutes on foot from the hotel.
Front office needs training. Urgently. When I arrive at the reception, I expect 3 things: 1) a smile, 2) ”welcome”, 3) explanation of all the hotel services. (I won't go so far as to push for a ”Thank you for your loyalty”.) None of this was provided. Check-in was rushed and chaotic. I didn't feel welcome at all. My status was also ignored and the welcome drink voucher wasn't prepared, I had to ask for it. In a 5-star hotel? Terrible first impression. Embassy room far too small for the price and with no functioning A/C. It was like a sauna! I don't care if it was unusually hot in Berlin, I expect a full functioning A/C in a luxury hotel. When I asked for the room to be cooled down, because I thought I was doing something wrong, I got a fan. A nice gesture, but a bad sign, indicating that the A/C isn't really working. In an extremely expensive 5-star hotel?! Bed too hard, I had to ask for a mattress topper. The receptionist didn't understand what I was talking about, so I left a note to the housekeeping team. When I asked her for the pillow menu, something I expect in a luxury hotel, the same receptionist asked me what kind of pillow I wanted. How can I say if I don't see the pillow menu?! I guess it doesn't exist? In the end I just asked for a feather pillow. Of course, I didn't get it. I guess they don't have feather pillows at this supposedly 5-star hotel. I could go on... Breakfast, again, not worthy of a 5-star hotel. The a la carte menu is so short that I couldn't believe my eyes! And why was there no buffet on Sunday? Buffet is supposedly served on weekends. Let me guess, a la carte breakfast costs the hotel less? The staff at breakfast were very nice though. They should switch places with the receptionists, to be honest. I was very unlucky in that I dealt with the same receptionist every time. An incredibly cold person who has no place working in the hospitality industry. She didn't even ask me whether everything was OK at check-out. That was probably smart as she would have got an earful. Good things about this hotel are the location next to Tiergarten and the welcome amenity was very nice. The building itself is beautiful but a grand exterior and a spiral staircase do not a 5 star hotel make. The service was so disappointing that I couldn't believe it. At 450 EUR a night, this is an incredible insult. I will never return. I am aware of the staff shortages and all the challenges the hotel industry is facing, but if you're going to charge so much money, I expect to get my money's worth. All in all, an incredible disappointment. In conclusion, the impression I got is that this hotel only cares about your money and not your satisfaction.
Hotel room was small and clean. Great quiet location.Large reception area. Will stop there again without hesitation. Will never book through Trip.com again. Both flights were cancelled. Ryan Air informed us for the departure so we changed to the night before arriving late and extra nights accommodation needed. The app still has us flying on the original date. The return flight was cancelled and the app stated we were checked in and even gave details of check in gate. This meant another night in a hotel and hundreds of pounds extra to fly the next morning. The app is useless. Book direct with the airline and watch Google as it steers you towards Trip.com automatically. The helpline does not answer the phone. Generic answers are useless just like Trip.com Please publish this!
We spent 3 days at Gorki last week, slightly early Valentine’s trip. We love it as it’s just easy here, spacious apartment, clean, modern, great location and in one of the best cities in world! We cooked one day and ate out the rest of the time. With so many bars and restaurants within walking distance, you are spoilt for choice! Regarding the review below, not sure what that’s about, we’ve never had any issues, hence our third visit and not our last. Also, we just loaded the dishwasher ourself, we didn’t need the room attendant to do it! Love the personal service too, when we booked our visit, Constance messaged me the list of rooms to choose from, from the category we had booked. This was great as each apartment is different, no 2 are exactly the same. We are working our away across the different categories :) We asked for a late check out and were told it was €50, we declined that, but we were able to stay in the room until 1pm. We’ll be back in the summer, see you then!
The hotel room is very large, the design must be beautiful, and the breakfast is also very delicious. It's a typical American breakfast. It's very good to have a menu to order according to your taste. The house has a sofa. It's very considerate to have a waiter come to the room to open the sofa and put it on. Beautiful surroundings of the hote
The hotel close to city center and to railway station lies in a perfect location, offers valet service for parking! the personnel is extremely friendly, helpful and professionally working. I got a quiet room with zircon, which is necessary on hot days in German summer. Breakfast was fine!
This place is clearly a Five Star Plus Hotel, and for a comparably low price!
