Great location spoilt only by the external building site during week days. Nothing to do with the hotel. We were allocated an inner courtyard room with unattractive view but a good choice for a quiet nights sleep. Everywhere was clean with a large locked room by reception to store luggage after check out. Only the many church bells disturbed us! Staff were accommodating and breakfast terrific - fresh sliced fruit and plain omelette (on request) - unusual in our experience for a 3 star hotel. Coffee especially good and hot. Plenty of seats and table even at peak times. We stayed with a group of friends who all endorse these comments.

Very close to Cologne Cathedral, the location is quite good! But the room was small, the equipment was very rudimentary, and the door was opened with a key, which looked like a room that was separated.

The location of the hotel is very good, just 2 minutes walk from the cathedral, 5 minutes walk from the central station, and 5 hours on the shopping street. The location is very good. It’s just that health needs to be improved. Because I am allergic and I am allergic to it, I have to take medicine to get through.

The hotel is right next to the Cologne Cathedral, and there is a great restaurant downstairs, next to the train station, the traffic is very convenient. The room you stayed in was very spacious and you could spread out your suitcase at will. Drinks in the minibar are free and good value for money. The reception staff were friendly and happy to answer questions. The bellmen are also friendly. Parents stayed very satisfied.

Service: The blond beauty at the front desk is very beautiful and the service is very patient. She translated for me even if she didn’t speak English👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. I should have my contact information😀😀😀 The hotel is very close to the train station, Cologne Cathedral, and the commercial street, which meets my needs.

The hotel is located in the main building of the Cologne railway station. It is very convenient and you don't have to worry about eating out. The room is clean and comfortable, and the cathedral can be seen from the window. The only inconvenience is that there is no kettle.

The location is good, there is a balcony, blowing the wind in the European streets is quite beautiful. It was hard to stay in the machine at the door. Our family didn't know German. Even the guessing was finally in. Said that there will be breakfast, only 4 euros, excited to live in and began to find, and confirmed with Ctrip's customer service, but found it downstairs for a long time did not find. The owner of the restaurant on the side is very impatient to say that it has nothing to do with the hotel, and it is not convenient to ask. The bed is not big, the bathroom is quite simple, there is no slippers, there is a hot water bottle, but the price is also grabbed, the location is still so good, walk 5 minutes to the cathedral, walk 3 minutes from the central railway station, walk 15 minutes to a commercial District, there are several tramps downstairs, it seems that it is a gathering point, but also a big dog, a little scary, but did not hurt anyone. Overall, the price/performance ratio is still ok.

The hotel is an easy walk (just a few minutes) from the railway station. It is about two minutes walk to the cathedral which you can see (and hear) from the hotel: the bells chime quite loudly at about 08:00 am and other times. Rooms are a decent size and the beds are very comfortable. It is clean and in the room there is a safe, tv, bathroom with a shower (that oddly has no shower curtain or screen - the floor gets quite wet). Breakfast is good and includes the normal range of hot and cold foods from croissants, toast, bacon, egg, sausage, buns, cereals, hams, salamis, cheeses, coffee, tea, hot water and some really very nice fruit juices (some of the nicest I have tasted in a hotel). The staff in the dining area were really pleasant and friendly. The reception staff were a little more varied but polite and efficient enough. Outside the hotel doesn't look that much but it is generally pleasant and a great base inside. Next door are some convenience store types of shops and a kebab house that I tried and it was exactly the same as back home. McDonalds is just across the road, if that is your thing. We walked to all of the Christmas markets (where we did most of our eating) and around the city centre and down to the Rhine. All are in easy walking distance. There is a bag room where you can leave your bags upon checkout and come back for them later. The security of that was a little lax as people just walked in from the street and took their bags. I went to the reception and told them I was taking mine and the lady looked as if to say, ”ok fine.” No checks. There is also little checking of people walking in from the street and just going upstairs but the doors on the rooms were pretty secure. The lighting is not great in the room and the lights around the hotel are seemingly hanging from their connections. Overall it was a great base from which to explore the city and get to and from. good night's sleep - despite the bells and a good breakfast. I would stay again for a short break in the city.

I’ve had a wonderful stay at the Rescidence Hotel. Staff was very friendly and kind, the room was clean and there was enoough space for 2 persons. The bed was a bit hard for my preference but we stayed for just two nights so it was ok. The location of the Hotel was perfect, between the bars/pubs and the centre. Allthough the busy environment, we were not bothered by noise. I would definitely visit this Hotel if i’m going back to Köln.

Definitely one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in and the best hotel from Accor Hotels. I had accidentally booked the wrong dates for my stay. As soon as I realised it, I contacted the hotel. The staff helped me to change my reservation dates. While on my trip, due to the strikes in France and problems with the train connections I had to postpone my meeting online. I sent an email to request to check in early since I will be having my meeting at 1 p.m. Ms Wulff made the necessary arrangements prior to my arrival. On my arrival I was able to check in early and able to proceed with my online meeting. Without her help I would not be able to conduct my meeting. On the next day, I had another online meeting. Her colleague made the necessary arrangements so that the housekeeping team could get the room cleaned before lunch and my next online appointment. Till date I have stayed in a number of hotels from the Accor Hotels group. In comparison to M Gallery am Konzerthaus in Wien, Hotel Mondial am Dom in Cologne exceeds my expectations. Professionalism The staff at the reception were not only friendly and good at what they are doing, they are also willing to help and went an extra mile to make things possible. I would not have been able to get my work done if they did not help me. Even when checking out, the staff was professional and showed interest to assist customers whenever they dan. Splendid Location Situation a few minutes walk from the train station and the main city area, is this hotel definite one of the most strategic location in Cologne. View of the Cathedral I managed to get a glimpse of the cathedral from my room. Dinner I had dinner at the hotel restaurant. It was not only affordable, the service was impeccable. The waiter even suggested where I could sit so that I can get the best view of the area. Awesome! I would like to thank the remarkable staff for making my stay in Köln memorable und unforgettable. I would definitely be staying in this hotel again when I visit Cologne. In German (Deutsch) Das Hotel Mondial in Köln ist mein Favorit und ist mit Sicherheit das Hotel von der Accor Hotel Gruppe. We were at five in the apartment AM1, which is really top. I would like to begin with the positive, namely that the apartment is ideally located directly in the old town of Heu market with a metro station in front of the door, and is also sufficiently spacious for five people. Now to criticism: the staff appeared not to have finished with the cleaning, the key was given to us by a cleaning force and we entered a apartment with a still running washing machine and a sticky floor in the upper floor. In the course of the evening it was cold in the apartment, we had to find that the heating was defect and even warm water was not available. Telephone had several times nobody to reach until I went to the hotel just ten. There was closed at both doors, there was no doorbell, I knocked on the windows. Contact with the staff is no longer possible after nine! The next morning at eight, I returned to the hotel, where the young receptionist apologised hundred times. She had already read our email with the problem description - but there was no reaction. She promised that in an hour someone would come for heating. After two hours we called to ask ourselves, as no one had yet appeared. She said that no one could come, it was a ”problem of the city” we can do the hotel - but only at 12:00! After I pressed, she promised to call the boss. Suddenly they could send a craftsman, so the first statement was apparently lied. They didn't want to take care of it, but at once it went, and in 30 minutes the craftsman was there. Unfortunately, too late for us, we had to leave a short time. After all, the guests will be able to shower after us. The ”chef” was only on the afternoon, so I came back to present my complaint to him. He kept the finger of the mouth and made ”pszt”, what I felt very respectless. In general, he seemed little interested in what I had to press, shed next to his calendar and talked to other guests. I was angry, so I had never been treated in a ”hotel”! We asked us for a part of our money. The receptionist was ready to give us 10% of the price of ”thirty euros”. I advocated that we had paid 400 euros (a ridiculous price) for the night, 10 percent are 40 euros. He agreed, but made the condition that we should give him in writing and confirm with our ID number that we are not writing bad reviews. This person was unhellable, disinterested and respectless. We didn't enter the deal. I am very disappointed and angry. In the sense of the guests I hope that something changes in the future with regard to service. By the location the hotel would have been

We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights for business in May. The hotel is pretty new - I think less than 2 years old. The rooms are quite big, with full kitchen amenities (fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, full set of glasses. The surprise was there was no kitchen roll for cleaning - all the apartments of these types of hotels have some cleaning paper. The location is very close to Koln Messe Deutz station, and we made easy travel arrangements by train to the Dusseldorf fair. The room is clean, the windows are opening (a big plus), and the façade is quite modern. The hotel is quiet, especially since my room faced the open courtyard, which was super quiet, even sleeping with open windows. Breakfast is OK, nothing spectacular, and I think a bit overpriced for the 23 EUR per person. The only problems we had were with sporadic services and some items in the room malfunctions: I had electricity problems with the power supply (caused by a defect in the dishwashing machine which could not be switched off - The fuse went off). I had a problem with the telephone. For every problem, I had to drag to the reception (unable to talk on the phone). The coffee in the room was delivered in the first few days, the next 2 days, and there was no new coffee pack (to make your French press). One day I did not have big towels delivered (the housekeeping did not replace the used towels on the bathroom floor, and I had to go to the reception to ask for them. I would give that hotel 3 stars, but the best surprise was the super fast internet connection (free). We had 200 MB/sec, perfect for surfing and streaming.

This hotel should only be used as a bed to sleep in, and expect absolutely nothing more. I was here on business with 2 colleagues and everything was just ok. The people in the reception looked very bored and uninspired. The room was alright, the housekeeping a joke. To be fair, with 3 people living in a very small room the space to clean was minimal as we had to spread quite a bit, but I expected the trash bin to be emptied. The beds were alright and the AC excellent, which was good as the area around the hotel tend to be noisy as it is in the industrial part of town. There was a brief 10 minute walk to the s-bahn. Very few choices of food around the area. The breakfast, that they priced up from €7.50 to €10.50 from our booking to arrival is not worth the money, with a very bad selection and slow refill when there is a lot of people. The Frau managing the breakfast area was very agressive in asking for room number and barely understood any English making it very awkward. If you are a smoker, then the smoking area outside does not have any place to sit. Unless there is no other available places to stay, I will not come back to this hotel.

This was my first time staying at a hostel as I wanted a bit of traveller experience and most importantly keep my trip to Cologne cheap and affordable for three days. I read tons of reviews before I opted to stay at a&o and I was convinced this was ideal place in terms of location, affordability and also getting the best experience as a traveller. On my arrival, I was greeted with a warm welcome by there friendly staff at reception, I quickly observed what they had to offer and in honesty not much, a small lounge area with a small bar but they did have a pool table...I didn't mind too much as I knew I would be out most of the day. I was told I be staying in a 6 bed room (mixed) which I was ok with as I wanted to meet people, I had to pay around 5 Euros for sheets and a towel as this is not included to my surprise. There was no locker but a secure cage under the bed and If I wanted to securely lock it I would had to pay a refundable 20 Euro deposit to get a padlock from reception. The room was ok, it was clean and had good lighting but space was limited. There was separate toilet and shower room which I felt was convenient and was kept in a good condition. During the night, I didn't really get the best of sleep as you can hear a lot of people talking and walking up and down the hall way. Also, it's a 24hr check in so therefore anyone could come stay in the room at anytime which sometime kept me restless. It's also worth mentioning, this hostel accommodates pretty much everyone, from couples, big groups, school trips and family which during my stay I saw plenty of. The hostel is in a good location, 10-20 mins walk and you will find yourself surrounded by restaurants, bars, shops and in the central part of Cologne. My overall thoughts of staying at a&o is, it's a good place, friendly staff and pretty much everything at your doorstep. Not the best of sleeps I've had and knowing anyone could come in at any time was not ideal. I didn't always feel that my personal stuff was safe and secured but that's just me and I was a bit let down with the lack of facilities the hostel had to offer. I defiantly would recommend staying there if you come in a group but if alone no more than one night. Would I stay there again or at any hostel for that matter...probably not! If you're a hotel person like me then I would suggest to keep it like that.

I was here for a night to visit a company nearby. The arrival goes from Cologne main railway station easy with the bus. From the hotel you can also go well further to the chemical park. Since I arrived late in the evening and left early, I can't say anything about the often commented outdoor condition. Inside it is beautifully furnished and modern designed. The rooms are somewhat young hostel style but absolutely clean and sufficient. Breakfast was very varied and I would book it again the next time. If I'm back in the opposite, I would book it again.

A nice hotel with pleasant staff. It's a bit out of the way but accessible as long as you are happy to research the public transport. Has a McDonalds next door so you would never starve! And there is a Lidl a short walk away. The sofa/camp beds could possibly benefit from being updated as sitting/sleeping on those wasn't particularly comfortable but the main beds were comfortable. The design of the hotel is very special, being housed in an old insurance company’s head quarters. The theming around space is very cool without feeling cheesy or over the top. Very instagrammable elevators! We arrived late but the front desk team was ready for our arrival. The friendly front desk team member got us a generous upgrade to a larger room facing the dome! The room was spacious with an integrated bathroom with a large shower. We loved the modern design of the room. Everything you might need as available, free minibar, desk, plenty of space, big TV, many windows, live plants. We went to the bar for a drink, there was a big group having drinks and the staff was busy but still friendly. Drinks were decent! Breakfast at Neni was delicious, with loads of choices and very high quality! We would have expected some other Middle Eastern specialties than hummus. The breakfast is 100% self service so there was almost no interaction with the staff. But the little contact we had they were very friendly! For a breakfast without any service I would have expected them to be more attentive when cleaning plates/ setting up tables. Check out was quick an really friendly. Still my favourite 25hours Hotel in Germany so far!

Friendly desk staff. Comfortable beds. No mini fridge in room. Rooms were provided with a bottle of water which was nice. Plenty of storage. The soap provided in the bathroom was of poor quality so definitely bring your own. Breakfast was ok. It seemed far too expensive for what it was- yogurt/bread/cheese/ eggs/ honey . One day we found mouldy yogurt/orange/crudités - they dealt with this swiftly and didn’t charge us for breakfast. Housekeeping didn’t come once during our 3 night stay. One of the chairs in our room had questionable stains on it. The gym looked very small and only had one set of weights and an elliptical machine. Overall a comfortable stay. More 3 star than 4 star hotel. Was conveniently situated close to good shops and restaurants.

This one is very good, with complete facilities, and those who say that this does not provide that does not provide, many European hotels are like this, environmental protection, there is a need to find the front desk. The breakfast at this price is very good. I was surprised. The young lady who had breakfast is very kind and friendly, and the uncle who checked out was also very happy.

I thought it was a hotel room, but found out that I rented the entire apartment. There is a restaurant, but no tableware. It is very spacious, close to the station and close to Cologne Cathedral.

I arrived at the hotel alone at around 11am where I intended to wait until my partner arrived to meet me. There are no staff there and you check in manually on a computer. As check-in is not until 3pm I went to the lockers at the far end of the lobby to put my suitcase away. As I was putting my case away a large group of 6 men, possibly more, surrounded me in front of the lockers. I'm a petite woman and they were all over 6 foot tall. They were dressed up for the Carnival parade and had clearly been drinking heavily through the night. They surrounded me and said things like 'oh wow you're beautiful', 'hello beautiful'... when I continued putting my things in my locker they continued to close in on me saying 'smile, smile, you should smile more' and 'you would be a lot prettier if you smiled'. At this point with nobody else around and feeling extremely scared for my safety I told them to leave me alone, squeezed past them and went into the ladies bathroom where I planned to wait until they left the lockers. I could hear smashing bottles as they were so drunk they dropped a few of their beer bottles on the floor. The main door of the ladies bathroom did not lock and one of the men came into the bathroom just a few minutes after me. I was terrified and screamed at him to get out and leave me alone. He left the bathroom but the men continued to stand outside the door for at least ten more minutes while I waited scared inside for them to leave before I could make my exit. This was a truly traumatizing experience and ruined what was meant to be a romantic weekend away for my partner and I in Cologne.

Five-star praise to Ctrip, because the ticket rescheduled to refund one night, the hotel refunded 10%, the rest of Ctrip refunded. For the hotel, in addition to being more rigid in this regard, the breakfast is not very good, the others are still very satisfied. Clean and tidy, you can walk to the Cologne Exhibition Center and Daoyitz Railway Station, and it is quiet and the environment is beautiful, especially like the scenery outside the window.

Had a lovely three nights at the Hotel Imperial. In fact, it was our favourite hotel of the three we stayed in whilst travelling around Germany for a week. The hotel is in an ideal location and a 5-10 minute walk from Venloerstrasse-a street with lots of restaurants, cafes and bars. In fact it’s much better to get a meal here as opposed to some of the tourist traps nearer the Altstadt. You can walk from the hotel to the Cathedral in about 35 mins or otherwise the public transport is 5-10 mins walk. We had a very comfortable and quiet room on the third floor. All amenities we needed were provided. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. A shout out to Hert Engelmann who was patient and complimentary with my rusty German and who gave us some excellent t restaurant tips. Would definitely return.

The youth hostel is in a good and quiet location, it's relatively quiet at night and the staff can come quickly, but they were unmotivated, which was noticeable when the food was served. Regrettably, a clock was missing in the room and the locks on the valuables lockers in the room were prone to problems. The subway station is not very far away, so you could walk. As usual, the food was much too small 100 ml glasses and the only water dispenser was always used, so there was a 5 meter queue in front of the machine. That was very annoying when eating. The juices didn't taste like juice (and there was only at breakfast) and the yoghurt didn't taste like yoghurt either. When eating, it was almost always loud, so that it was difficult to understand each other. There is clearly room for improvement. The Rhine beach is very beautiful and quiet. However, in the flight path from the local airport, which is great for plane fans, but you always heard the subway at night. There were also rats and a lot of wasps (summer) on the outside area.

Good place to stay with a weekend out with friends. Clean and just okay. We booked one room too much, and the reception kindly offered us a refund for it. The rooms are very basic, though. But equipped with a modern tv and good shower....all you need. By bike, the travel time to Zentrum is a bit long (30min), but actually nice as refresher and starter of the day

This hotel was absolutely amazing. I actually can’t describe in words how kind the staff were in this hotel. When I got there I was really exhausted from my journey to this city, but the friendly greeting in this hotel immediately made me feel welcome! The guy who helped me check in was very friendly. When I booked the room throughout this website I made a request to have a quiet room. When I arrived in the room I could really see they were really thoughtful about choosing the room, because it was really quiet and far away from the other rooms, so you won’t hear the foot steps or doors slamming at night. Also wanted to thank the friendly guy who was working on the afternoon shifts (Thursday 2 September and Friday 3 September). He was very kind and patient whenever I would ask something. My English sometimes gets a little lost in the translation, but he didn’t made me feel rushed and took his time to understand what I trying to say. He is true gentleman! When I was ready to leave there was a lovely lady ready to help me with the checkout. What I really liked about her that she was not only polite, but also genuine and very kind! The room, where I was staying in, was also very clean. Which made me feel comfortable to stay in this hotelroom. I couldn’t wish for anything else during my stay. Please, if you are visiting Cologne and if you are looking for a nice hotel to stay in, I would definitely recommend this hotel!

We knew that reception opening time was till 22:00 and therefore i wrote, in the booking note, ”late checkin, our flight will land at 21.25”.  I thought that someone was waiting for us to checkin, it was just a matter of 30min. When we arrived, around 22:30, we found the door closed, we rang the bell, but nobody was answering.  We then tried to call the hotel emergency number, none answered. Worried abut the situation, it was night and we were on the street without any accommodation.  We then went into the restaurant beside the hotel entrance and fortunately we found a girl very kind to help us. She also tried to call the emergency number without success. After 5 calls, finally someone answered the phone, but unfortunately she was not able to speak English. I don't speak German, unfortunately, and I passed my phone to the girl of restaurant that talked to the girl from the hotel emergency number. She said that our code was 888, but neither us and the restaurant girl were able to find a pin pad to type this pin. The guy at the phone did not have an idea on where this pin pad could have been. After at least 20 minutes and other 2 calls, the hotel guy told us that the pin pad was in the street close to the ring bell, something really invisible, especially in the night. We finally got the key and entered our room. Together with the key, we got a welcome letter. Unfortunately it was in German and therefore we were not able to read it. Is it a good welcome? When we entered the room, we immediately noticed that it was not very clean and the bathroom even worse. The wc was really dirty (see pictures). We also noticed that a lot of long hairs were on the room/bath floor and on the table. We also found long hairs on bed sheets (see picts). Only half roll of toilet paper was available. We could not fix our issues because in the meanwhile the restaurant closed and if we had called the hotel emergency number, we would not have been able to communicate. The following day, we talked to the receptionist and he really apologized for what happened. He also changed our room, fortunately. We have finally asked for a late checkout for the next day, since our flight is at 22:00. We requested checkout at 18:00 and expected an immediate positive answer, after all problems we had, but the receptionist said that had to ask the boss. After a couple of hours we asked again and she said that we need to wait for tomorrow morning for his answer. The next day, late checkout was denied because the cleaning staff had to clean (?) the rooms. While leaving the hotel, we saw the bed sheets were left (during cleaning service) on the floor ... without any protection and we fully understand why the bed sheets were full of hairs... Having the room not fully cleaned can happen also in the best hotels, but usually a good customer care can fix immediately the issues and maybe add something complimentary to the impacted guest, just to give a strong sign of sorry. We haven't received anyth

The hotel is the most cost-effective hotel in the entire Cologne exhibition hall area. It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the tram Cologne exhibition hall station to the hotel and halfway through the German chain LIDL cheap supermarket. After Ctrip prepays the room rate, you do not need to pay a deposit when you arrive at the front desk of the hotel. In addition, the city tax of 5[%] of the additional room rate does not need to be paid in advance. Consumer psychology is very comfortable. The decoration style of the hotel rooms is white and modern. The rooms are also equipped with desks. The entire area is very spacious and comfortable. The hotel also carefully puts German welcome gummy on the pillows of the guest beds. Like most German hotels, the hotel does not provide toothbrushes but shower gel and shampoo. In addition, the water in the shower room is a bit slow and congested. I have stayed in the ibis hotel in the same area before, the price is 100-300 yuan more expensive than this hotel, the room area is only half the size of this hotel, and it is very simple. Generally speaking, if you come to Cologne to participate in the exhibition and the budget for accommodation is limited, this hotel is definitely the first choice.
