We have stayed here before and were due to return two years ago but Covid happened. When we cancelled, we were told that our payment would be kept on hold until our next visit and they were as good as their word. Avra operates an efficient shuttle service to and from Athens airport which makes the transfer so much easier. Upon arrival we were offered complimentary soft drinks - so very welcome in the heat! Our en suite room with sea views was spacious, well appointed and very comfortable. Room service was also very prompt. In the morning we enjoyed our self-service bountiful breakfast. The restaurant staff and the ladies at reception were professional, helpful and very pleasant. Coupled with the fact that the ferry is a very short walk away, for us this is our hotel of choice in Rafina.

I loved this hotel, it was everything I needed for an overnight stay. Close to the beach for an afternoon stroll and plenty of places to eat and have a beer. They arranged taxis for me and the communication was great. I would just add though, the room was small, fine for me, but for two it would have been a little cramped. A full length mirror on the wall would have been nice, and more hooks for towels please. Small adjustments but otherwise perfect, thank you.

Just 20 minutes from Athens airport. Book in advance and get picked up and taken back to the airport for 25 Euros each way. I had an apartment at the back with private balcony overlooking greenery. It was big enough for 1 or 2 and very clean and modern. Waterfront and Taverna just at the end of the street. Beach close by. Walk to the main road past the petrol station for low cost genuine greek food. Or try the taverna near the apartment for top quality seafood. In a quiet part of Athens by the sea. Highly recommended.

About 200 meters to the natural seaside. There is a road less than 100 meters, and there are some small shops on both sides of the road that can be consumed, and there are pharmacies. Warm, simple and clean. The spare snacks and drinks in the room (and a small bottle of red wine) are enough for breakfast or supper.

Although a bit hard to find in the village (tip: don't use a GPS but Google Maps instead) we found it, of course on a hill ;o). We were helped by the owner of the small OK supermarket next to the main road. We arrived late in the evening so we could not see the surroundings. But the next morning we were pleasantly suprised. It is quiet, except for a few barking dogs. Very lovely, helpful and friendly owners, breakfast is simple and more then OK. The appartment has a communal living/breakfast room and a fully equipped kitchen with free thea and coffee supplies. Privacy enough. The room and bathroom were clean.

Very mixed experience. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. I was upgraded to a room above the pool which at first I thought was great until Saturday night when they hosted a private party right below my window and it was impossible to get any sleep. First night I discovered that they hadn't left any water in my room. 2nd night my door key stopped working so I had to trek to reception to get another one and the staff were less than friendly almost accusing me of sabotaging it by putting next to my mobile phone. Last morning deciding to wash my hair, I discovered there was no conditioner. So my view is that the location and hotel are 5* but the staff and services are more like 3*. After very little sleep for 2 nights due to very lively crowds of people making a lot of noise at night, I won't be coming back

We had a 16 hour layover between flights at Athens airport and wanted a place close to the airport to relax. We booked a night at the Villa d’Irene, where we were treated like honored guests. George met us at the airport to drive us to their guesthouse and later drove us back to the airport. We got to rest in one of their beautiful rooms and took a nice walk along the coast to a great restaurant that George recommended to us. George and his parents, Theo and Giota were very welcoming. We enjoyed chatting with them. The rooms are new and everything worked wonderfully. They way the rooms were decorated, with a combination of modern and antique furnishings, made them feel more like a home than a hotel. This is an ideal place to stay when you want to be near the airport in Athens.

The hotel is located facing the quiet seaside and has several restaurants within a few to 10 minutes walk. The next day's flight was used early in the morning, but the taxi fare I booked was 25 euros one way. The road is a highway and a bent country road. Arrived in about 15 minutes. Away from the crowds and in the atmosphere of a rural area, the tiredness of the trip will be healed.
