We checked in for an over night stay after a day long road trip. The room was very spacious even after placing an extra bed. Room and wash room was clean and tidy and very well maintained. They have a restaurant [Delish] on the ground floor. Food quality is very decent and the price is also comparatively fair. Our check-in and check-out experience was very good. 4.68km from downtownso i was there 4 days ago, the hotel is fine for Rs. 1800 all inclusive for one night stay and no breakfast, the restaurant linked to it is very good veg food. its on platform 1 of Allepy railway station and 750 meters from the beach. for the A/c room, good toilets, the sheets were stained, but for transit its a decent place, especially to catch a train, this is very convenient.

4.8km from downtownWe checkedin to the resort in the evening at around 7:30pm, the incharge Mr Murugan asked us to grab food from outside as he said to buy vegetables and groceries is bit far from that place ( If guests are coming as it is booked in advance, dint understand why there is nothing ready in the Kitchen). , but out of my concern about my small kid, I asked them to prepare atleast the curd rice. 1. Curd rice was very tasty and Mr. Murugan made it hot and served fresh. 2. There is no Hot water. But on request, he served one bucket of hot water for my kid. 3. Food was very tasty and the ambience was good and Mr, Murugan and family hospitality was appreciable. I was only diappointed for 3 things: 1. Why the Vegetables were not ready as they knew we would checkin? 2. Regarding the Hot water. 3. There should be some room fresheners, and good ventilation as it seems to be stinking somewhere with strong kitchen flavors.. Super Happy with 2 things: On request, Mr. Murugan prepared Maggi for my kid as she could hardly eat anything due to indigestion. 2. Mr.Murugan had given medicinal drink out of his interest to cure indigestion.

5.1km from downtownMy two friends (one American, two French) and I stayed at Lake and Paddy (11-14 August 2018). We were fortunate to have beautiful and sunny weather, and as it was low season we had the place mostly to ourselves. Staff: super friendly and welcomed us on arrival. They also answered any questions we had and called around to help us (details for any laundry services, taxis to our next locations). They even enquired our breakfast preferences and prepared delicious banana pancakes for us. They were willing to chat and tried to maintain the site. Location: wonderful, quiet compared to the beeping and noise around the streets. It was not a long walk to the beach, but we could take a tuk tuk if we wanted. We didn't find ***y restaurants near us (as you would closer to allapuzha beach) but there were some cafe and juice bars that also had food. We were closer to the start of the backwater tours which is what we wanted. Cleanliness: it was clean and we did not feel grossed out or anything. It's an outdoor space and we expected there to be bugs, there are some ants crawling around and mosquitos about, but there is mosquito netting over the beds and we did not have any overt problems with infestations. The bathroom facilities were acceptable. Overall: the WiFi was perfect. Strong in our room and all over the property. They ambience was quiet and comfortable and relaxing. They helped organise our yours and we felt rejuvenated after our stay. Any dislikes: we stayed during the off season so everything is understandable. If there were more people around then we could have more social times. But I can imagine in the common areas travelers from all over mingling and having fun. Unfortunately, you don't pay when you book the place so travelers who reserve rooms here may not show up or cancel/change their plans without telling the property. The power went off a few times in the night but this happened even in fancier hotels we stayed in at other places in Kerala.
Hotels Near Attutheeram In Alleppey Review
Amazing property. Amazing people. All thanks to vijo and family and the staff for making us feel at home.. the rooms were well kept . The premises where lovely. Evenings near the river was awesome.. and the host and his team where always to help us plan our stay.. we has a wonderful boat trip through the back waters.. the dinner was amazing.. especially the duck roast.. it was yummy.. really a quite nice place to take a break from the chaos of the city life.. a grat place to spend some quality time with the family..
We had booked a last few days here to be beside the sea and enjoy a bit of relaxation after travelling around. We were in one of the 4 old colonial rooms which were very spacious, with big high beds ( stools provided to get into bed!,). The rooms are all furnished in old dark coloured traditional wood and quite dark but this helped keep the temperature down. The only negative point was with very high ceilings and control of mosquitoes was difficult and provision of a net might have been helpful. This is the only place we were bitten despite staying on the back waters, in plantations etc. The pool was small but clean with plenty of beds and good towels. We ate meals in the hotel as choice was varied and prices very reasonable plus they had a public bar next door which was busy with locals and also good value. Unlike ***y places we have encountered there seemed to be very few staff around at any given point in time but this did not detract from our stay. Unfortunately parallel to the front of the hotel and almost directly above it is a brand new flyover which will become a major road and will therefore probably be both noisy and add to air pollution. At the time of staying (Feb 2020) the date of opening was not clear but this, I am sure will have a detrimental effect on this lovely old style hotel. The staff we saw were lovely and helpful and we enjoyed our 3 nights there. The beach is directly opposite the hotel and is very large, cleaner than I had read in previous reviews, the sea was warm but I only paddled and not ***y people appeared to be swimming when we visited. It is a popular place for locals at sunset and we enjoyed walking to a beach bar, Cafe Catamaran for an evening drink (no alcohol served there though) to watch the sunset.
If you can find it – and when they have finished it – this hotel will rank way up the scale. This lakeside hotel in Alleppey has been open for just a year but is still not completely finished. The majority of the work is complete with some lovely landscaping and a fabulous pool area which, itself, has views of the Vembanad Lake and its famous Houseboats. The dining room is indoor/outdoor and serves a variety of food – mostly Indian, of course. The hotel is currently unlicensed, doesn’t have a bar and carries a very limited range of non-alcoholic drinks. The ***ager claims that it will be licensed when they have a ‘fully finished’ certificate from the local authorities. Our room on the second floor of three was excellent with everything expected of a first class hotel – including a super king-sized bed and a pool and lake view from the good-sized balcony. Except that, unfortunately, the top floor rooms were still not finished and the banging and hammering started right above our heads each morning – well before we wanted to wake up. I took this up with the ***ager who basically said it would be like that for some time before the top floor was completed and until then it was a shrug of the shoulders. Another problem is finding the place. It is some way from the nearest tarmacked road and approached through a spaghetti of narrow, unmade, potholed lanes – barely wide enough for a single small car – which pass through some very run-down properties. We arrived in the dark which made the approach even spookier and our taxi driver got totally lost. There are no signs pointing the way – the taxi coming to pick us up when we were leaving was late because he, also, got lost. Maybe the place has tried to open too soon. When it is finished and the approaches are sorted out it will be a wonderful place to spend time – the staff are a delight and very willing and helpful in every way – and we would certainly be prepared to return when the building work and the approach signage are complete.
First of all I have to address that the staff is very friendly and Mr. Mathew helped me a couple of times giving me lift to a medical center treating my bad back. I can't express my gratitude enough. When I first came there were to women with poor English showing me the wrong room. They were very friendly but it was clearly not the AC room I booked. After a phone call with Mr it was fixed. The room was big and fine. Not super clean but still not unclean. Shower had low pressure, as common, and the warm water took some time to come. There were almost no information about what I care of - wifi-info and when the breakfast is served. After first I met Mr and he is very friendly and has excellent English. He helped me out with a doctors appointment and drove me there two times. Very nice guy! The location is close to the railway so you will hear train whistles. This place is definitely not sound proof. Right across a small road you'll find the beach. Good restaurants avaliable within 1 km both north and south of this place.
Wonderful huge rooms with every possible comfort needed, just fall in love with the ambiance, you have plenty of 2 and 4 wheeler parking space inside the Villa. Lovely family and very informative and helpful, Mr. Benedict and Mrs. Sherly (the owners) both cooked very delicious Kerala cuisine. Beach is very beautiful and just 50 meters, kind of Private Beach. Even it has a swing at Sea front. Perfect place for a peaceful stay and even Mr. Benedict arranged a rental scooter for easy exploration of nearby places. Will be very happy to visit next year again. Once I reach back will also post the video review of the property on my Youtube channel YogeShuchi do check it out.
The homestay feels like a cosy, welcoming home like our own. Jose, host of Kalappura is professional and thoughtful. Upon arrival he sends a text with places to eat around, and coordinates of the homestay to show locals/tuktuk drivers if we get lost. Jose invited me to join him on his daily routine to the night market for fresh food purchase for tomorrow’s meal at the homestay and his houseboats. It was a local experience that nobody else can offer. An absolute privilege and delight. I enjoyed my time there playing with his children Annie, Angel and Andrew. The homestay is a cool respite in hot hot Kerala, and the shower in my room was cold for the night but it is okay for me. Best part was the houseboat overnight stay Jose organised for me on a last minute’s request. His boat is large and spacious. The bed is king size and luxurious, and shower’s hot. Food served on board has fresh caught fish, and the boatsmen are sweet. He checks once in a while via text to make sure all’s well. Extremely thoughtful experience. Felt like it came from the heart, and I feel like family.
