Hotels Near Au Poilu In Strasbourg
0.83km from downtownLocation is great as it's close to the main train station in 10 minutes or so. For the rate compared to other hotels, it's really cheap to think that it's an apartment style hotel. Wifi is also fast enough and the room is big enough especially for 1 person. Even if there are 2 people , he space would still be enough. The room heater though . didn't work as much. The window blinds are also old school in terms of pulling it down . it's not that easy compared to current designs with just a string to pull. You need to rotate some lever for it to work. Overall, this property is highly recommended especially for groups due to the apartment style.
0.99km from downtownThe entrance of the hotel is a one-way street, the parking lot is underground, and the front desk takes the password and then opens the door by password. The hotel is fully equipped with kitchen utensils, which can be made by yourself. If you have used it, you should clean it yourself. Walk to the center of the city for about 15 minutes, all the way to see the museum, the river dam. Stayed for three days, the price is very good.
1.08km from downtownThere is a parking lot, suitable for self-driving travel. Walk to the cathedral for about 30 minutes, the hotel room is small, but very clean and comfortable. Recommended
1.14km from downtownThe hotel is very close to the church and the small French area, and you can walk right and walk across the bridge. The entrance is the tram stop, and you can also travel by car. The triple room we booked is actually a second room, very convenient and the bed is very large. Turn right at the door and turn left at the first street. There is a supermarket. The microwave in the room can be used. The backyard has its own parking lot. It is very convenient for 10 euros a day. We have two days to go and have free access. (Parking in the white box on the roadside is free from 6pm to 8am).

1.23km from downtownThe location is a bit off, but the tram stop is just outside the door, and it is only 20 minutes walk to the center of Strasbourg. There is no toothbrush or toothpaste in the room, nor disposable slippers. This seems to be a French tradition? I contacted customer service, and the customer service brother super helpful to help solve the problem. The overall living feeling is ok, although the room is not too big, but two people are enough (the bathroom is a bit small). Towels in the room are cleaned daily (no interruption required), and are cleaned up neatly & # 128077;
1.28km from downtownHotel des Vosges is located in Stasbourg near the train station and the city centre. It offers comfortable and affordable accommodation. The hotel has a selection of well equipped and furnished guestrooms all serviced by a lift. Family rooms are available that can accommodate up to 5 people.Breakfast is available daily and can be served to your room or enjoyed in the breakfast room.
1.29km from downtownIt's incredible place and I'm sure that every city must have hotel like this one. Each room is unique and you're able to choose a room where you will stay. No "preferences" and "requests" - you choose exact rooms and know what you will pay for. Room decorations varies but I found them all very cool. Great contemporary artists will make your stay unforgettable. And you also know the price and it's flat, so you even can easily plan your stay in advance which is very useful. They also have some discounts if you'll be lucky enough. My arrival was very late by Lufthansa bus about midnight, but I was greeted by member of staff and check-in was fast and very convenient. Size of room was good, no claustrophobic feeling when you don't know how to open your suitcase and walk in the same time. Good equipment, everything working in bathroom, lots of power outlets. It's very close both to Central isle where everything happens, Petite France, Railway Station and also car rental offices and big parking, so I found this location ideal. No issues with cleaning, spacious elevator and very friendly and helpful staff. I didn't eat in a cafe, but food looks good too. I may recommend this property to anyone looking for place to stay in Strasbourg and will stay there again if I'll have a chance to visit Alsace once more.
1.31km from downtownPerfect match, there is no room for improvement. For an absolute fantastic price-benefit ratio you get a clean and cozy room. We had smaller rooms for more money in the past. Here we paid 60 Euros and got all we needed. Coffee and water included, an absolute fantastic shower (also spacious and clean), a comfortable bed. Honestly, it was one of the best three star hotels we've ever been. Due to Corona the breakfast buffet was unavailable. However, breakfast was served in a kind of lunch-box style while all drinks were available with free re-fill. A big plus: the breakfast was not charged the same price as it would have been for a buffet! So we paid less money for a less valued breakfast which is really open and fair. We highly appreciated that. We stayed at other hotels and they charged us the same price like always but did also not offer a buffet! Finally the staff: all friendly and highly skilled in languages. Also the director was keen and friendly and asked also at breakfast time if everything is okay. Having a nice “good bye” when we left, we decided to rate this hotel with the highest score here on TripAdvisor.
1.32km from downtownThe location of the hotel is excellent, just opposite the train station, and the trip is extremely convenient. The room is also relatively large, and there is absolutely no problem with a child. The bathing facilities are a bit old and can feel that the store has been as clean and tidy as possible, and it is not easy for old hotels in Europe. The washbasin is a double basin, very good.
1.35km from downtownMy wife and I stayed here in mid February and this was the best decision I made for our trip to France. This hotel is right across from the train station so it took all of 2 minutes to walk there(we had to wait for the light to change so we weren’t breaking any laws.) The rooms are small, but not claustrophobic, and really comfortable. Huge shower and towel warmers. The breakfast was good. The best thing about this gem is the service. Multilingual, courteous, and extremely helpful. Etienne, the gentleman that checked us in, was quick to offer places to eat, and things to do and see. He gave us directions and advice for visiting surrounding villages and when to go. He is the perfect example of what a front desk person should be. We felt lucky to have Etienne as a resource. Do yourself a favor. If you’re going to the Alsace region, stay at AROK Hotel and use it as your base. It’s the perfect location, and the perfect hotel. Easy to get anywhere in Strasbourg by walking. We can’t wait to return.
1.38km from downtownThe location is very good, just in the row of hotels opposite the Strasbourg train station, you can see it at the train station. The hotel room is small, but it is very clean, and there is air conditioning (just in Europe, air conditioning is very important). The hotel has an elevator (can take three people), the front desk and the service staff are very friendly, it is basically speaking French, English is normal, but the communication is no problem. The hotel's breakfast buffet is 10 euros, we ate once, not bad, chocolate small bread and strawberry bread are delicious, French style breakfast (there is less meat). Opposite the hotel is McDonald's, next to the Carrefour city, the Evian mineral water inside is the cheapest British and French travel, 1.5 liters of 0.62 euros a bottle, cheaper than Paris. Others eat enough, you can replenish food. In short, the overall impression of this hotel is good, will consider staying next time.
Hotels Near Au Poilu In Strasbourg Review
Very comfortable hotel, good attitude and convenient location
Very good, as soon as I got out of the station, I saw a very eye-catching sign, with air conditioning, and a big supermarket next to it. The quality of ibis is still very reliable.
The location is a bit off, but the tram stop is just outside the door, and it is only 20 minutes walk to the center of Strasbourg. There is no toothbrush or toothpaste in the room, nor disposable slippers. This seems to be a French tradition? I contacted customer service, and the customer service brother super helpful to help solve the problem. Hotel facilities are old, but the surrounding environment is very good, just next to the Orange Park, parking can stop the road. There is an old oil and gas in the room, especially in the bathroom, and the cleaning is clean. The hotel staff are very kind, especially the service staff of the restaurant, very warm nice. The breakfast is simple and expensive, and it is included in the room rate. Sharp overnight wins at a cheaper
This was a great little hotel in Strasbourg with easy access to all the sights, close to the tram stop and very comfortable. We had a room with king bed and twin. The room was spacious and clean. While we were out touring and eating for most of our stay, the room was comfortable enough to lounge in at times. The staff was very friendly and helpful, despite our terrible French. Everyone was quite kind. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel because we wanted to explore other options, but we did have dinner one night in the associated restaurant and it was quite good. They also have a spa associated with the hotel, which we didn't have time to use. I would stay here again when visiting the area.
Self-driving tourists can first send email to the hotel and then follow the information to the hotel. kind of hard. $ 30euro valet parking is also available. The hotel itself is beautiful and gorgeous, the breakfast is delicious, and there are many places to take pictures.
Hotel easy access and parking nearby. Near centers of interest. Staff at the top and functional room. The room did not have a nice view but to spend a night or two in town is not a problem.
Free parking on the roadside, there is a police station next to it, don't worry about someone smashing the window. Beside the high speed, it is convenient to drive by yourself. The front desk of the hotel worked very well and helped us to see the parking location. The fly in the ointment is that there is no refrigerator in the room, and there is no disposable toiletries.
No service at all. The reception is only available till 7 pm. So if you arrive 30 min later there is nobody to acomodate you not even by telephone. We booked the hotel exclusively for the underground parking but as there is nobody at the desk you cannot enter the parking either. The streets around the appart hotel al full of cars and there is no spot early in the evening. It is also difficult to locate the entrance of the hotel. We had to ask the neighbors as it is an entry for the apartment complex and another entry around the corner for the hotel. Via de email at 18.59 hr you get a message that they leave a credit-card form key for you in a locker that you have to localise inside of the lobby. An old person will not be able to follow these instructions. We found the key but did not enter the room as we first wanted to get the car parked. But as the hotel parking is only open with a remote control you cannot enter if no one is there. The neighbors are nice and let you in, but Néméa parking is blocked by a barrier and you cannot get in. Inside the garage are warnings not to park elsewhere or you are transpassing. So we got so stressed that we decided to leave and book elsewhere last second. It was 20.30 hrs in the meantime and bookings via booking.com did not get through. We had to book in situ. All with all a lot of stress. The people from Néméa were not apologetic that nobody answers the phone after 19.00 hrs not even at 19.30 hr, when we called. You cannot arrange for a parking spot only on the arrival day upon arrival. They do not tell you this nor that it costs you 50 euro extra as deposit that you hope to get back. Either ways, Néméa is not willing to reimburse us. We will definitely never book with them again. And if you come by car, unless you can arrive prior to 18 hr (so that you can be sure you can arrange the parking) avoid this place as well. The area is not safe to leave a heavily loaded expensive car on the streets. Safety first! Booking.com censors this review this is why we place it here❗❗❗
Positive: The location of this small hotel is wonderful. Smack in the middle of everything. You can park right by the hotel in Kleber Parking and if you ask the front desk they can validate your ticket and you’ll only have to pay €18,50 which is nothing compared to what you’d have to pay. (0,80 p 15 minutes) Room was small but clean. Lady at check in was friendly but did not attempt to meet us in the middle in speaking English and spoke french... real fast. We made it work. Negative: This must’ve been the noisiest hotel I ever stayed at. We were in 501 which is the only room in the middle of the building with a very crappy (no) view. Every word spoken on the hallways could be literally heard. Every door that opened/closed was heard. We were very lucky the other guest were not too loud. Bed was too short for my friend who at 182cm (6ft) isn’t considered a tall person in Europe. Bathroom was very(!) small but that can be expected in France, however it was not very well ventilated which made it very uncomfortable after a warm shower. The AC was not working the way it should and we both woke up because it was getting too warm in the room (27C) Officially you can only use the elevator to go up. We were on the 5th floor and my friend has a walking impediment so that was not great. We did use it to leave with our suitcases. We were not going to walk down 5 floors with our suitcases. Also the stairs (had to look for them from 3rd floor down) made me worry about a fire or other emergency situation. We did not have breakfast so I can’t speak to that. So in short: if location is the most important issue, stay here. If you want a quiet evening/night, don’t. If you like quaint and authentic, stay here. If you appreciate space and comfort, dont.
Situated just out of town, this hotel is perfect for those visiting the city and not wanting to struggle to get around and/ot to park. Staff were helpful and everything better than expected. Nowhere nearby to eat so I drove about 4 miles to a decent restaurant.
Compared to the ibis and other hotels near the train station, this price is not so high. This is more than one kilometer from the railway station. In fact, there are several mercures along the way. But this is recommended by Ctrip. The advantage is that he is in the city center, next to the Spring Department Store, and the lV shop. Shopping is convenient. But the service is not as good as the previous ibis.
The location is very good, but the hygiene is not good. The room where I stayed for the first night has a taste of stool. After talking to the front desk, I will change other rooms soon, but the curtains in the room are very dusty. The equipment and design inside are completely different. Star, equivalent to 2 stars, and there is not much choice for breakfast, just some bread and cheese, all the drinks are drink machines, no hand-handed, so it is not four stars. The first night was booked in a superior room, but it did not meet the advanced room at all, and it was subject to further improvement in all aspects.
This hotel has a great location. The position and evaluation are very good, and the staff are very helpful. When I had a small problem, they quickly solved it and made sure I was completely satisfied.
If you spend the night in this city, it's a great hotel. The location is very good, the surroundings are very quiet, and there are very good restaurants nearby. If you had stayed here, you would not have chosen another hotel.
There was no smile at the front desk when I checked in, and the corridor was very narrow and the room was small and the impression was average. Later, I found that it was quite good. The price is really high. The small lobby always has hot tea and snacks. The front desk is very patient in answering questions. Especially the man who didn’t smile when he checked in on the first day was actually very Professional and very welcoming, the recommended places to visit are very worthwhile, because Strasbourg has come to work without doing any homework, and it is very pleasant to meet such a recommendation. Go to the breakfast restaurant to buy a cup of coffee, the waiter is very nice to say that it is provided free of charge, just drink, do not pay. The hotel walks to the train station and walks for 12 minutes without luggage. Drag the suitcase for a few minutes. It is within walking distance of all the old town attractions.
Arrived at night for a business trip a bit frazzled because the airline had lost my luggage (argh!), to discover that our admin hadn't booked my room at this hotel. The hotel were very sympathetic and sorted me out with a well-appointed room. I was just settling in when Reception called - they had rung around the neighbouring hotels to find out if my admin had in fact booked somewhere else, which indeed they had, and would I like to change hotel? I did, and Hotel de l'Ill didn't charge me anything, which was very kind because they'd at least have to make up the room again. Then in the next day or two the airline needed to deliver my lost luggage. Hotel de l'Ill looked out for it, received it, then drove it round to my new hotel, again at no charge. I would love to give them my custom one day but as things stand I haven't paid them a thing. They've just been lovely. So, I'm writing this review, my first for TripAdvisor. Please give them your custom. Not only do they deserve it, you'll be in good hands.
There is no Wi-Fi in the room, everything else is OK, there is a subway out, it is very convenient to go to the city, the room is very big and clean.
The hotel's infrastructure is in a good sanitation environment and it is difficult to find a parking space in the city center. Synchronize with friends to book two rooms of the same standard and at the same price. But the two rooms are a world apart, one room is spacious and bright, and the evening room service and small gifts are available. The other room is extremely rudimentary and has no service. The most unbearable thing is that one of the rooms did not have a TV remote control. The reply I received after calling the front desk was that there was no way to solve it. A four-star hotel doesn't even have a spare TV remote control. Even if there is no spare remote control, the service staff can take one from the vacant room. The front desk staff was arrogant and lacking courtesy. I will never stay again next time.
The location is very good, walk to the train station for 10 minutes, below is the big shopping mall, eating and shopping are convenient, open the window to see the cathedral
After some experience with hotels of some other international chains in the same segment (5 *) accross the world, I can justifiably claim that the Villa Garrigae sets the new standard by far. Super-friendly communication before and during booking via telephone, e-mail and web with different persons of the staff. Totally professional, friendly, attentive check in, which went quickly across the stage. Class, cosy ansd styled suites (recommend at least one with balcony to smoke 😊 - see pictures Uncanny highly customer-oriented and professional front desk service, concierge, room service .. Great silent location, noit to far away froom teh old town but silent Great breakfast in a very pleasant atmosphere.. allready in X-mas style 😊 Great great SPA, massage deals, bad that I had no chance to use it really To put it in a nutshell, Villa Garrigae sets a high standard in terms of customer service and hospitality that I have not expect at this, my 1st visit. Compliments to the management, the entire team, front desk, service staff, cleaners ... is very well trained and the customer feels that the employees like to do their job. SPECIAL THANKS to Elif, she´s a really Treasure. Nothing was impossible for her to arrange, even not with such a complicated client as myself. outstanding job Mademoiuselle , merci bcp 😊 And as well to Janine, who has at the check out today early morning some „ some challenges“ with me regarding content oft he invoice.. sorry for beeing so typical German 😊 Therefore definitely highly recommended and phantastic stay see ya soon Nicht gefallen · hmm found nothing to be honest ...
First of all there were hairs on the floor and garbage in our bin when we arrived in our room. We wanted to use the pool (spa was closed, understandable during corona). The girl at the reception told us it costs 9 euros per person because it's with a reservation so there aren't more than 6 people in the pool. When we arrived at the pool on our given time, we were with 9 people in the smallest pool i've ever seen, we didn't dare to go in because you couldn't possibly keep a distance! That was a waste of money. But then the worst thing. When we booked the pool and our breakfast the day before, we asked if the receptionist could calculate everything we needed to pay after our stay already in the price with the pool and breakfast because we started our trip through the route des vins early in the morning. So we asked that we could leave fast and have everything already payed for. She was very friendly, we paid and she said that everything was payed for. The day we leave in the morning (26/8/20) the very rude girl at the reception told us we had to pay our room, we told her we already payed it online but she didnt't understand and kept asking for money for our room. After we tried to explain it about 10 times we looked for our papers and showed her. she told us that we then had to still pay our taxes. We told her that we already asked the girl the day before to calculate it in the price with the rest of our payments. She began to roll her eyes and pull up her eyebrows. We said we will pay again just to get it over with (quite agitated) but she continued to try to talk back in a really unfriendly manner. We tried to get it over with and pay, she didn't take the money right away and kept saying things that didn't make any sense. Finally we pay (at this point really annoyed) and she began to say things in a rude and sarcastic manner like "thanks for your kindness" while she was the one who was rude and didn't even try to listen the whole time. We NEVER had an experience like this, let alone leave so angry as we did. What a waste of money.
I have booked Hotel Suisse over an online booking engine, the communication before the arrival was excellent, I have received automatic information about parking situation with recommendations for good parking locations. For my perspective it is usual that a hotel located in historic center has no private parking. I followed the recommendation and parked my car at Parking des Batelier, which was perfect - only 5 minutes walk to the hotel (20EUR for 24h). We received a warm welcome at the reception, we arrived pretty early so the room was not ready yet, however we were offered to store our bags. In the afternoon we checked in and received a very cosy and charming room with view to the Cathedral. The room was clean and had a refurbished bathroom with bathtub. Breakfast was served in a cosy little breakfast room. You'll get croissants, bred, eggs, local cheese, cold cuts and good coffee. There was even some sparkling wine so we could cheers to my wife's birthday. Allover I definitelly recommend this place because of its charm, friendly staff and perfect location next to the Cathedral and the city center of Strasbourg.

The location is very good, three minutes away from the railway station, and easy to get to the old city, all within walking distance.
I don’t know if it was the reason why Ctrip booked the room. The room I gave was not in the main building, but in another building. There was no elevator to go up, and the room I gave was of the kind without windows. Just stay for one night.
The breakfast was pretty good. Basically there are fruit juice, bread and fruit. The lobby also has a coffee machine for your own use.
The overall price is not high on weekends.
stayed here for two nights recently and thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Yes the hotel is very central and next to the cathedral but hey that's why we booked it! So it wasn't a surprise to hear the bells nor the muffled sounds coming from the street below. We didn't find the noise an issue to be honest and it was great to be right in the centre of the Christmas marketplaces. the room was overlooking the cathedral (which is a stunning sight) and was very comfortable, warm and well appointed. The breakfast was excellent and offered a great choice of items to suit everyone's tastes we thought. We had nightcaps in the bar both evenings and enjoyed some nice whisky to warm us up again. The staff are very friendly and professional and all in all considered we liked this hotel very much and would go back one day.
We had a very nice stay at the Hotel Athena Spa. With Covid conditions, they did very well. They had clear entrance/exits labeled. But in the breakfast area, I did not feel they sanitized often enough. Many people using the same utensils to serve themselves, not wiping down the coffee machine that was touched by everyone, allowing people to reuse their plates and cups at the buffet. Our room was spotlessly clean and the public areas in the hotel were all clean and comfortable. The spa was smaller than we had expected and also was not being sanitized as often as I would have liked. But the hotel is easy access to the city by tram, which we used without any issues.
The problem with TripAdvisor is that the number of stars depends on the mindset of the reviewer. I stayed at K Hotel for two nights and all I did was sleep and bathe. Didn't eat there, didn't drink there, nothing. In that respect, the bed was comfortable, the shower was brilliant, actually, now I remember it and the air conditioning was effective. Is it worth five stars, therefore? Well not to me it isn't, because if I give a hotel five stars I want to be amazed by it. I wasn't amazed by K Hotel, but I didn't want to be. It did exactly what I wanted it to do and it did it well. To conclude: K Hotel is on the edge of Strasbourg, it has free parking for all guests, the tram to get into Strasbourg is about six minutes walk away and it was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you, K Hotel, I would recommend you for others in my position
Hotel-style apartment, the price is very high, the front desk service attitude is also very good, we just caught up with the music festival on the day, gave us a detailed introduction to the various attractions, about 3 minutes away from the train station, a good experience .
The hotel is very close to the church and the small French area, and you can walk right and walk across the bridge. The entrance is the tram stop, and you can also travel by car. The microwave in the room can be used. The backyard has its own parking lot. It is very convenient for 10 euros a day. We have two days to go and have free access.
