Not a bad little hotel. The hotel itself is not all that interesting, but at least the room was clean. The man on the front desk was helpful. Not sure if they speak English or not since I only spoke French with them. Close by you have a number of restaurants. And you can walk to everything within minutes. There is a cafe/bar to the left, Les Salles Gossses that gets fairly acrive on a weekend. To the right there is a burger place 99 Street Burgers open late, and during the daytime, walk down the street to the right and there is a big square, Place de l'Hotel de Ville with an old-time carousel, and several restaurants. As a stopover on the way to/from Geneva, it's a reasonable option. One negative point though it is minor: this hotel does inexplicably take a 100 euro deposit pre-authorised on credit card. This is a bit ridiculous as there is nothing in the room is worth 100 euros.

The hotel is clean, well located, friendly staff. The room is not spacious but sufficient for 1 or 2 people who only pass the night. The bathroom is well equipped. The breakfast is a perfect continental buffet and represents this kind of hotel. Two bemols: - it would be really important to offer cut bread. It is not quite assertive that every client takes the bread to cut it. This shocks even more in the health context but independently of the virus of the moment it is not hygienic. - une réception ouverte 24/24 serait plus rassurante qu'un système de carte magnétique pour débloquer tous les accès (porte d'entrée, accès à l'ascenseur ou escalier) sans possibilité de faire appel à quelqu'un si défaillance (j'ai posé la question). The hotel is very friendly and well equipped with all the necessary to spend a few days of holiday. I would say that the only negative point is a small lack of room in the kitchen (in the place of the mirror next to the kitchen, I think it would have been good to put floors or a small furniture and put the mirror on the door of the room of Ban or in front of the armoire) because no place to set the few courses for the stay once the clothes in the armoire.

The ambience feels business according to the purpose of the hotel, but is still very welcoming and nice, particularly thanks to the qualified staff. The room is large enough, very clean and with good services (water in the minibar, kettle and autonomous heating system). Some details need attention like the shower where water drops out, and pretty dangerous is the block on the anti-fire system that can lead to serious consequences. The staff can also guarantee various informations, maps and services to visit the near city of Geneva. The price is coherent with the position and the quality.

Some of the staff are friendly, especially those from the Reception. The hotel is strategically located opposite Annemasse Main Train Station. You can easily purchase the ticket and travel to Geneva too. Latitude 46 serves good food (it is the hotel's only restaurant) There are several bus station nearby, where you can hoop on / off the bus easily (eg : Tango) Opposite the hotel is the Tourism Board of Annemasse. There is a mini bar and conference rooms at Level 8 of the hotel. if you wish to stay in this hotel, it is better to be able to communicate in French, else it is very hard to talk to the staff However the room is very small there is no cupboard to hang clothes. If you are staying in standard room, no bedroom sleepers will be provided. According to reception, Sleepers are only for those in Executive Rooms. The carpet in the room is not clean, and I noticed that cleaners entered the room with their boots / shoes, and that could be the reason why the carpet is always dusty and dirty. Another thing to note is the bedsheet is not clean. The mini bar at Level 8 closes at around 10pm, which is too early. The waitresses will ask you to leave by around 10pm. she spoke in French and none of us could understand. Most staff cannot communicate in English. The place may not be safe especially at nights, you can hear people fighting at the back street , from your hotel room . One of the evenings (16 Apr) , we reached the Latitude 46 at around 9.37pm, and were trying to place our orders, a young waiter told us that the kitchen have closed. However, as per the reception, the last call to the kitchen was always at 10pm. We were left with no food, as most of the cafes nearby have already closed, ended up we had to buy burgers from McDonalds. The young waiter (male) was very rude and could not speak English efficiently. In my opinion, this hotel is more suitable only for short stay One plus point is, it is located very near to the town's main train station. That's it.
